October 16th – 22nd, 2023

The astrology for this week of October 16th through the 22nd of 2023 suggests we engage the sentiment ‘moderation in all things.’

The week begins with us seeking security from the vagaries of these times.  We might enlist the slogan ‘when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping’.  Having stuff, acquiring stuff are often seen as a panacea in our consumer-driven society.

Instead of being instinctually reactive to these crazy-making times, we could choose to be proactive and determine to make our personal world a better place than it has been before.  Yes, perhaps contrarians are needed during these times of challenging events and dystopian visions for our future.  Instead of focusing on the negative, we can acknowledge our blessings and appreciate that life is good and then determine to make it so.

After a start to the week when we may hunker down and envelope ourselves with all sorts of presumed protections, the mid-week has us flipping to an overly expansive mode of too much of this, too much of that, various cases of the too much.

The end of the week is liable to be dicey.  We might decide that we can only participate with those people who share our same perspective, agree with our opinion, and are in lockstep with whatever subliminal biases we hold.

Although we can reestablish a grounding at the end of the week and may be highly productive, we need to avoid being distracted by incidents that lie beyond our personal realm and that in fact have very little impact on our day-in, day-out.

Pontificating about matters far beyond our periphery of influence would only waste excellent energies for accomplishments and opportunities to advance our individual ambitions.

If we stay focused and concentrate on what we want to get done, we could virtually move mountains at the end of the week and early on the weekend.

It would be suggested that we use Friday and Saturday to our advantage with the energy configurations providing wind to our back and before we find ourselves liable to stalling out late on Sunday.

Monday, October 16th – On a Wing and a Prayer – Jupiter.  Monday begins this week with the Moon in Scorpio and the Moon opposed Jupiter early in the day.  Any sense of anxiety or insecurity could be masked by surrounding ourselves with stuff.  Instead of relying upon the material, it might be wise to draw upon our faith.  No matter what we are likely to encounter, we have the tools and the skill set to effectively deal with conditions.  Although some would say that it is a trite sentiment: ‘adversity builds character’, there is forgotten truth to such an attitude. Instead of being reactive to situations and feeling victimized by circumstance, we can draw upon our expertise built from experience.  Calmly, we could take a proactive approach, consider the matter at hand, and then proceed to successfully handle whatever comes our way.  These times may challenge us, but they also provide opportunities for us to realize our inner strength and our external prowess.  Let’s keep in mind that we do not have to do it all but that we can draw upon assistance from the universal energies unfolding.  We just need to be open to options and alternatives that we might not be privy to initially but that we come to realize as we move forward.

Tuesday, October 17th – The Force Be with You, if You Choose – Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Lunar T-Square.  Tuesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today opposed Uranus in the early morning hours, the Moon trine Neptune, and the Moon sextile Pluto.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius where later in the day the Sagittarius Moon squares Saturn in Pisces and triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square completed tomorrow with the Moon square Venus in Virgo.  As we have been experiencing, the three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are once again engaged.  Even when we think we know exactly what is going on, the universe provides an unexpected alteration and forces us to be mindful, hone our awareness and be adept at the shifting sands of these times.  This is one of those days.  Although our schedule for the day might go through unanticipated changes, we could find truth to the saying that ‘god and the universe have far better plans for us than we could have imagined for ourselves.’   This Tuesday offers us an opportunity to adjust to changing conditions, draw upon our intuitive sense as to a best practices approach, and then proceed with determination and a ‘can do’ attitude.  We need to avoid trying to do too much late in the day, for there could be the liability of our racing ahead without dealing with the specifics or unresolved issues that could trip us up.

Wednesday, October 18th – Skipping Over – Lunar T-Square, Venus.  Wednesday continues with the Moon in Sagittarius with the Moon today completing the Mutable Sign T-Square that began yesterday with the Moon square Saturn in Pisces and the Moon square Venus in Virgo today.  We need to be careful with everything going on in our lives that we don’t skip over important details, make plans without checking our schedule, or are self-involved to the point that we miss significant communications.  This day could be a case of having so much on our plate that we fall into overwhelm, the wheels come off the bus, and everything we do is done in a haphazard manner.  It would be best for us to slow things down, prioritize and compartmentalize.  Otherwise, we could wind up entangled with one big mess to sort out.  Early yesterday may have had us very adept at navigating the currents.  If we didn’t acknowledge the extraordinary incidents that greased our wheels early on Tuesday, we might have assumed that our successes were all our doing, and therein may be the problem.  Conditioned into believing that we can have all things our way with a strong dose of entitlement, we lose sight of the paradigm shift through which we are going where things could happen in unexpected ways and our efforts may be aided by the universal energy configurations operational.  By taking for granted yesterday’s greased wheels, we might find ourselves getting in our own way, forcing issues, and just making a mess of things.  Let’s not make things hard for ourselves when we don’t have to and when the energies may be offering us assistance all along our way.

Thursday, October 19th – Help! I need Someone – Neptune, Mercury, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn.  Thursday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today square Neptune and the Moon sextile both Mercury and the Sun both in Libra.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn where late in the day the Capricorn Moon sextiles Saturn.  The past two days might have had us in a world of confusion, and this Thursday can be slow starting with us still trying to figure things out for ourselves.  We could feel as though too much is not enough, but our experiences these past two days should have reminded us that too much is often much too much.  While we might be all over the place on this Thursday, we can straighten things out by talking things out with a good friend and drawing upon their insight and suggestions.  People who are not emotionally involved with our issues have a detached perspective, a distance that allows them to see things more clearly and objectively.  By drawing upon help from someone, we can start to see things in a more rational, less emotional, manner.  We then are able to determine a best practices approach to achieve successful results.

Friday, October 20th – Operating on All Cylinders – Mars, Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury, Pluto.  Friday has the Capricorn Moon sextile Mars, and the Moon triggering an Earth Grand Trine with the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm.  The Capricorn Moon trines Venus in Virgo, and the Moon trines Jupiter in Taurus.  The Sun conjuncts Mercury early in the day, and Mercury squares Pluto in the evening.  This Friday can be one highly productive day if we focus on what we wish to accomplish and avoid too much input from other people.  Everyone often seems to know a better way.  While we could be swayed by outside interference, today is a day for us to hold steady to our instincts and acknowledge our sense of things with a recognition that we are likely to have considered various alternatives and determined our personal best practices approach.  If we keep our head down, concentrate and plow ahead, we could achieve great results today and into tomorrow.  Late in the day, we may have the proverbial Monday morning quarterbacks on this Friday telling us how we could have done it better, how we should rework our efforts, and that they have the winning combination.  Nice concept, and let’s keep in mind that the conceptual is far easier than the implementation.  We need to avoid the naysayers or those who pontificate that they could have done better.  No need to engage a discussion or create an adversarial environment.  It would be best to hear their judgment, nod our head and perhaps even give them a pat on the head.  This is a day for us to forge ahead unhindered.

Saturday, October 21st – Second Thoughts – Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Sun. Saturday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today triggering the three transcendental planets as the Moon trines Uranus, the Moon sextiles Neptune, and the Moon conjuncts Pluto.  The Moon squares the Sun to end the day.  The Sun squares Pluto.  It would be wise for us to bear in mind that during this paradigm shift things can happen unexpectedly with us needing to align with the energies unfolding to effectively address the shifts and changes in the currents.  We do not have to make it hard on oneself, but this Saturday could have us plagued by second thoughts.  Perhaps things worked too easily for us yesterday with us being used to rolling the boulder up the mountain only to have it roll back on us.  The winch has been invented and would make easy work of the boulder roll.  And so it is with much of our life nowadays.  The universe offers indications and assistance, if we are willing to let go of past habit patterns that are no longer effective and be open to altering how we do things.  When things go swimmingly, there is no reason to question the why or the how.  Let’s use even the lightest glimmer of behavioral modifications as a sign of our personal transformation.  We can accomplish a great deal if we avoid second guessing ourselves and go with our instincts and be attuned to the guideposts from the universe along our way.

Sunday, October 22nd – Getting Ahead of Ourselves – Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Mercury Scorpio.  The Capricorn Moon squares Mercury in the early morning hours.  The Moon then moves into Aquarius where the Aquarius Moon today triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon squares Mars in Scorpio and the Moon squares Jupiter in Taurus.  The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are in a trine aspect.  Mercury exits Libra and enters Scorpio [2:49 AM EDT] with Mercury trine Saturn today.  We could feel highly competent and able to pull off virtually anything.  Nice concept but it may not be realistic.  Plans may go awry.  We can just be trying to do too much on this Sunday.  Although we start the day brimming with confidence and assuming that everything will turn out the way we wish it to be, we might be rushing through things without considering the costs involved.  This is a day when we are liable to get ahead of ourselves.  Mercury’s entrance into Scorpio precedes the Sun’s entrance into Scorpio on Tuesday triggering a Scorpio Stellium as the Sun joins Mercury and Mars in the Fixed Water Sign.  Our intensity can ratchet up.  We might not reveal everything going on with us, and we have to be wary of jealousy and possessiveness.  At the same time, our perception can be heightened, and we are less likely to be fooled or seduced by images, appearances, narratives, unless they match up with our forensic ability to cut to the core and see what is really going on.
