October 23rd – 29th, 2023

The astrology for this week of October 23rd through the 29th of 2023 heightens the intensity with a liability of secretiveness in our actions, jealousy in our relationships, and disruptions to our financial position.

The week begins with the Sun exiting Libra and entering Scorpio and triggering a Stellium of three planets in the Fixed Water Sign as the Sun joins Mercury and Mars in Scorpio, a Sign co-ruled by Mars and Pluto.

The Scorpio transiting planets will oppose Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus.  We might expect volatility in the financial markets and destabilizing factors to our safety and our sense of security.  Scary times perhaps, but dynamic times too.  We just need to turn the maze into a labyrinth and proceed towards our center.

Blending faith with determination can go a long way towards achieving practical results.

Mid-week the three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are engaged and again offer assistance from extraordinary measures.

The weekend with the Taurus Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse may heighten our emotions, raise our anxiety, and threaten our security.  We could even feel as though we are pinned between a rock and a hard place having to react to situations beyond our control.

Let’s try to find healthy releases for any pent-up energies.  We need to be extremely careful, measured in our actions, and avoid any knee-jerk reactions.  Taking a ‘time out’ and lowering our expectations would be far better than throwing down the gauntlet and challenging anyone and everyone.

This is a week to lower the temperature, temper our responses and keep in mind what we wish to accomplish and the infinite possibilities of our great beyond.

Monday, October 23rd – Turning up the Heat – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun Scorpio.  The Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost thirteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces early on Tuesday morning.  The Sun exits Libra to enter Scorpio [12:21 PM EDT] triggering a Stellium in the Fixed Water Sign as the Sun joins Mercury and Mars in Scorpio.  Some of our intentions might come with a greater cost than anticipated.  Even if we have been totally oblivious to the increased expenses in our living, something may trigger a realization that compounding factors are putting a squeeze on our disposable income and on our resources.  It would be wise to keep in mind the con artist trick of the shell game with its sleight of hand.  Often situations are highlighted to distract us from other issues that might be far more directly problematic.  By diverting attention from pressing matters, we take our eye off the ball and lose sight of our own truly pressing personal issues.  With the increased influence of Scorpio over the next two and a half weeks, our forensic nature of stripping away the fluff and the decorative to get to the heart of the matter is enhanced.  We are less likely to buy into whatever anyone is trying to sell us until we have completely vetted the situation and exposed what is truly happening at the core.

Tuesday, October 24th – Feeling Things Out – Saturn, Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter.  Tuesday has the Moon moving into Pisces where today the Pisces Moon conjuncts Saturn to begin the day, the Moon trines the three Scorpio transiting planets of the Sun, Mercury and Mars during the day, and the Pisces Moon ends the day with a sextile to Jupiter.  The Sun trines Saturn.  Although Monday might have had some type of disappointment, some of which may have occurred due to our own good nature, Tuesday has us wiser and less reactive.  We could feel out of sorts as we begin this Tuesday, but soon after we can shift gears, change our attitude, and transform from being overly proactive to being more responsive and receptive.  If we would take the time to feel things out, we could find ourselves able to see what is really going on and not what is being presented to us as the ‘truth’.  Our intuitive sense and our forensic ability to cut away the dross to get to the heart of any matter can serve us well on this Tuesday.  Once we cut away the hype and the spin of presentations and determine the real conditions and circumstances that we are encountering, we can move ahead with a best practices approach to address matters and resolve various situations.  This is a day for us after careful study to blend our intuitive sense of things with dogged determination to get done what we need to achieve.  Although marketing with its own sleight of hand machinations pervades virtually every nuance of our society, our developed skill set to look beyond appearance and get to the substance has also been honed by the constant barrage of tricks, lies, and falsehoods perpetrated by marketing schemes.

Wednesday, October 25th – Better Ways – Venus, Uranus, Neptune.  Wednesday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon opposed Venus early in the day and late in the day the Moon in aspects with the three transcendental planets as the Moon sextiles Uranus, the Moon conjuncts Neptune, and early on Thursday the Moon sextiles Pluto.  One of the things that we are being asked during this paradigm shift is virtually a complete transformation.  Who we are, what we do, and how we do it are all open for question and for serious consideration.  Perhaps one of the key elements during these times is the importance of ‘letting go’ of our assumption of total control over our conditions and an acknowledgment, if not acceptance, of the influence of universal forces.  We do NOT have to make it hard for ourselves, no matter how we struggle in trying to enforce our will upon situations.  By drawing upon the input of the positive energy configurations, life can be more like operating on greased wheels rather than bumping along and hitting potholes now and again.  This Wednesday may have us strategizing to the best of our ability in the morning hours, only to find ourselves impeded by one thing or another in our advancement of our intentions.  Perhaps we get so exhausted by pushing forward only to experience push back that we decide late in the day to just let go and not try to force issues.  Suddenly, things can almost occur magically with little effort on our part and with a realization that by doing things differently, we can be far more effective than what we had planned.  This is a day when we can come to realize that we could create brighter days through better ways.

Thursday, October 26th – Running in Place – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course.  Thursday begins with the Pisces Moon sextile Pluto.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early on this Thursday.  The Moon’s transit of Aries today and tomorrow makes no aspects to the planets.  With the Moon ending its monthly cycle of transiting the Zodiac wheel as the Moon completes its transit of Pisces, it would be wise for us to conclude various matters that we might not want to bring into this next monthly cycle of the Moon through the Zodiac wheel. Both today and tomorrow, we might feel as though we are running in place, champing at the bit to get on with it.  Although we are interested in new beginnings, the energy may not be there for us to implement our plans.  Thursday and Friday might best be served as ‘ME’ days, ‘mental health’ days when we do what we want spontaneously, even impulsively, without feeling the need to get things done.  Although we often consider weekend days to be times to relax, reinvigorate and get off the proverbial track, recent weeks and this weekend have not necessarily been times of R&R.  Let’s get it when we can, and this Thursday and Friday are best served as weekend type days to do whatever we choose to do.

Friday, October 27th – One More Time.  Friday continues with the Aries Moon and with the Moon making no connections to the planets today.  Yesterday and today have very little energy except for a desire to consider new directions, new projects, all a sense of newness and leaving the past behind.  Focusing on creative projects, spending time with a loved one, or enjoying entertainment performances are all ways to use this Friday and yesterday.  Without feeling pressing demands upon us, we can think about what we want to do and where we want to place our energy in the days ahead.  Even if we have felt reactive to the crises and tragedies occurring at this time, let’s step away from being absorbed by watching them, recognize that there is little we can truly do to alter the situations, and concentrate on being the best that we can be by embracing the light, love, and goodness of doing life.  This weekend may be a little harsh, so these two days of Thursday and Friday are good days to take care of oneself and prepare for the intensity of this coming weekend.  In this crazy, mixed-up world, we just have to question why we can’t all be friends.  What a wonderful world it would be.

Saturday, October 28th – Rug Pulled Out – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Taurus Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury.  Saturday begins with the Aries Moon square Pluto in the early morning hours.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus where today the Taurus Moon sextiles Saturn and the Moon opposes the Sun at the Taurus Full Moon [4:24 PM EDT], a Lunar Eclipse.  Mars opposes Jupiter, and Mercury opposes Jupiter.  From the sublime of the past two days, we encounter the ridiculous on this Saturday and tomorrow, Sunday.  We need to hold steady today, since we could feel as though the rug has been pulled out from under us.  It’s fortunate that these energy configurations are occurring on the weekend, for the liability on the equity markets otherwise could be truly severe.  Our stability and security may be threatened today and tomorrow, and it would be wise for us to avoid jumping to conclusions or any rush to judgement.  The liability of hasty judgments and rash actions cannot be emphasized enough.  In our post-modern era where the subjective has supplanted the objective and fiction gets more validity than fact, we need to maintain an inner strength and an external calm to determine our ‘right’ course of action.  Things presented may be intended to sway opinion but might be more hyperbole or downright falsehoods than any true representation of fact.  Caveat emptor.

Sunday, October 29th – Through the Looking Glass – Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Uranus.  Sunday can be a paradoxical day.  We begin this Sunday with the Taurus Moon conjunct Jupiter.  The Moon then opposes both Mercury and Mars in Scorpio.  Late in the day, the Moon trines Venus followed by the Moon conjunct Uranus.  Mercury conjuncts Mars.  We might start the day assuming that we have everything in hand.  But do we really?  Or are we operating on blind faith with an assumption that what we want things to be will be because we deem them so?  Things can take a turn with us feeling impeded, our path blocked.  Discussions could turn into nasty arguments with people throwing tantrums.  It would be wise to keep in mind that for some most bizarre reason people have become intolerant, stuck in their fixed opinion, unable and unwilling to entertain other viewpoints.  Why engage in arguments when the reasoning mind is lost to the emotional reactions?  We all might feel slightly unhinged this weekend.  Shocks to our system can be both disturbing and anxiety-provoking.  The Ages of Enchantment and Enlightenment seem long gone as we carron from one emotional response to another and played like puppets on a string by the projected narratives.  Fortunately, the weekend and the week come to a close with some hint of an unexpected surprise.  Yes, we still have glimmers of the magic and miracles in our daily lives.
