February 19th – 25th, 2024

The astrology for this week of February 19th through the 25th of 2024 may seem otherworldly with our sensitivity enhanced and our focus more on what could be ahead of us rather than our present reality.

This week has the two most universal Signs, Aquarius and Pisces, dominating the scene with Stelliums of four planets in Aquarius and three planets in Pisces until the end of the week when Mercury changes Signs, with three planets then in Aquarius and four planets in Pisces.

Our attention may be geared to our feelings and what we want, no matter what standards or circumstance might otherwise indicate.  Are we engaging an anarchistic attitude to rage against the machine and enforce almost child-like our own personal desires over the collective good and societal cohesion?

Fortunately, like a helium balloon held taut by a person holding it by a string, we can maintain a certain grounded quality so that our involvements are not merely wishful thinking but rather realistic considerations with a willingness to accept a certain magic indicative of these times of paradigm shift.

The week begins benignly enough with us able to achieve successful results if we avoid the cacophony of disruptions and distractions and focus on what we need to get done.

Mid-week could prove dicey with a liability of peoples’ egos getting in the way.  Someone may be grandstanding, more interested in being number one instead of being collaborative.  Power plays and manipulations cannot be ruled out during this mid-week, and it would be wise for us not to let down our guard or give people the benefit of the doubt until they have earned our trust.

Excess and indulgence might be strong as we end the week and over the weekend.  We may need to rein in our emotions, avoid costly mistakes, and consider the ramifications of any involvements in which we would participate.

Saturday’s Full Moon is liable to put a damper on our moods as practical reality imposes upon our hopes, wishes, and dreams.

Taking time to catch our breath and recharge our batteries over the weekend would provide a hiatus from any hepped up feelings of what could be and would help us be receptive to the magical moments that are inherent to the paradigm shift.

Monday, February 19th – Reverence Gone – Saturn, Jupiter.  Monday of this week is Presidents’ Day in the US, intended to honor all those who served as US Presidents, but a day whose commemoration is largely forgotten.  For many in the US, this Monday is just another holiday, a day that completes yet another three-day holiday weekend with an opportunity to step away from our regular routine and enjoy ‘ME’ time with various sales enticing consumers to shop and purchase items.  This Monday begins the week with the Moon in Cancer and the Moon trine Saturn and the Moon sextile Jupiter.  With Presidents’ Day sales geared to home sales and the Moon in Cancer today, we could find much of our interest today is concentrated on our home and family.  Whether we go out shopping to spruce up our home, fortify our safe space against imagined marauders, or just stay home and straighten things up, this is a day for us to first put our house in order, rid ourselves of the extraneous and then consider how to expand from our new basic structure.  The reverence for the day might be gone, but this Monday can be highly productive for getting our house in order.

Tuesday, February 20th – Fine Tuning – Uranus.  Tuesday continues with the Moon in Cancer with the Moon today sextile Uranus.  If we cleared away the superficial and distractive yesterday, then today allows us to consider options that would allow us to be more effective with less expenditure of energy.  The English writer G.K. Chesterton wrote: “Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly.”  And it may be so for us today.  By lightening our load yesterday of situations that only weigh us down, today would give us the opportunity to fly and be open to the magic of these times.  Perhaps not earth shattering, but streamlining operations allows us to incorporate more effective and productive ways of getting things done.  A key characteristic of these times of paradigm shift is asequential reality where things occur in the most inexplicable, even mysterious, manner.  This Tuesday can be one of those days when we choose to alter our schedule, shift our perspective, and engage alternatives that are most appropriate for the matter at hand.  We just need to be open to receive, be willing to make changes to our plans, adjust as conditions warrant and engage the Taoist saying of “bend like a reed or break like an oak.”  Let’s keep in mind that the universe may have far greater plans for us than we could have imagined for ourselves.

Wednesday, February 21st – Off Our High Horse – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto, Venus, Mars.  Wednesday has the Moon completing its transit of Cancer in the early morning hours of this Wednesday.  The Cancer Moon trines Neptune before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo.  The Leo Moon today opposes three of the four Aquarius transiting planets with the Moon opposed Pluto, Venus, and Mars.  This day raises the issue of our getting in our own way with a liability of arrogance and self-importance contributing to our being our own worst enemy.  One of the lessons to be learned during this paradigm shift is humility, a quality that seems largely lacking in our entitled society.  But the universe, especially during these tumultuous times, tends to love the ironic.  The opportunity for things to unfold easily and naturally, even if in an asequential often confusing manner, is sometimes lost to our conditioned belief that we need to make things happen if they are to occur.  This Wednesday could have the universal energies conspiring to knock us off our high horse.  While things could unfold effortlessly today, we might muck it up by trying to force matters to our will with us unwilling to allow things to proceed easily naturally unless in accord with our own beliefs and expectations.  We might learn the lesson of the saying: “If you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans.”

Thursday, February 22nd – Throwing Money at Every Problem – Jupiter, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Mars.  Thursday continues with the Moon in Leo with the Moon today square the two Taurus transiting planets as the Moon squares Jupiter early in the day, and the Moon squares Uranus to end the day.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-one and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo Friday evening.  Venus conjuncts Mars.  In our society, there is a belief that throwing money at a problem resolves the issue.  That’s an attitude we need to avoid on this Thursday.  If we feel stuck, we might assume that greasing the wheels by financial expenditures will make anything right.  We could spend too much early in the day and have buyer’s remorse by the evening.  Our optimistic attitude can breed overconfidence with a liability of overdoing or over expanding.  It would be wise for us to rein any irrational exuberance today and keep the receipts of all purchases.  Although we need to watch our costs and purchases today, at least our relationships seem pleasant.  An unexpected expense late in the day can put a crimp in our budget, a dent on our credit card balance.  This is a day to embrace the sentiment: ‘moderation in all things.’

Friday, February 23rd – Lost in Space – Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Mercury Pisces.  Friday has the Leo Moon Void-of-Course until the evening hours with the Moon making no connections to the planets until late in the day when the Moon, having moved into Virgo, opposes Mercury, which just exited Aquarius this day to enter Pisces [2:29 AM EST].  With Mercury now in Pisces we have four planets in the Mutable Water Sign with Mercury joining the Sun, Saturn, and Neptune in Pisces.  Mercury is in Detriment in Pisces, where our thought processes become emotionally based with a liability of maudlin compassion triggering sloppy, wrong thinking. People may seem space cadets, foggy, dazed with little grasp on clarity.  This Friday might be a day for us to focus on what we want to do, but we might consider wearing figurative knee pads and elbow pads to avoid hurting ourselves.  It would be suggested we defer significant decisions, major commitments.  This is one of those days when it might be best to get down to the waterside, listen to uplifting music, and read inspirational works.  We could be called to action with the affirmation of putting spirit into action, but it might be better to contemplate and reflect rather than initiating or participating.

Saturday, February 24th – Fantasy Reality – Virgo Full Moon, Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Venus.  Saturday has the Virgo Full Moon with the Virgo Moon opposed the Sun, the Moon opposed Saturn, and the Moon in orb of an opposition to Mercury.  The Moon trines Jupiter.  The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are in square aspect to each other.  If we can tame and harness the energies today, then we could draw upon critical analysis to vet the wide realm of possibilities that our feelings might have engaged.  Taming and harnessing may prove a tall order today.  Instead, we could find ourselves on a wild swing of emotions between elation and despair, between fantasy and reality, and with a liability of spending too much on impulse purchases, those bright, sparkly things that grab our attention and liberate our credit card from our wallet or our purse.  Instead of looking for escapes today, whether in shopping, indulgences, or any excess, we might take time to go out into nature, down by the shore and look beyond the surface appearance to determine what is truly going on and how it might have, or not have, direct impact on our personal world.

Sunday, February 25th – Do You See What I See – Uranus.  This weekend is geared towards the otherworldly, the extraordinary, and an emphasis upon the magic of these paradigm shifting times.  This Sunday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today trine Uranus.  Let’s appreciate the fact that every activity has a life of its own.  We might start the process but then the process tends to take over and unfolds the way it will.  Such a case may be our situation on this Sunday.  Even if we have detailed plans in hand, once we start the day, we could find that the day develops in its own accord with us being a willing participant but not solely in control.  With Uranus engaged today, we can become aware of ways by which we can expedite our undertaking, take advantage of new tools and techniques to ease our way, and be more effective by adapting our involvement.  This is a day for us be spontaneous, yes, even impulsive, and take advantage of surprising developments.  Not only could we be more productive by getting out of our own way and allowing things to unfold as they will; we could also be pleasantly surprised by the wondrous trajectory we experience on this Sunday.  Magic is in the air.  We just need to be willing to accept it and embrace it.
