August 30th – September 5th, 2021

The astrology for this week of August 30th through the 5th of September of 2021 reminds us that the summer, a summer that might not have lived up to our hopes much less our expectations, is fast coming to a close as the week ends with the long Labor Day holiday weekend, often considered the unofficial end to the summer season.

The week begins with us hurrying to line up last minute summer activities with get-togethers or getaways. We are likely feeling the fast approach of the autumn season or certainly our return to some semblance of a regular routine, and we may want to grab for all the gusto that we possibly can.

Unfortunately, in our haste we might wind up caroming from one ill-conceived notion to another, all the while putting a smiley face on our efforts.

It would be wise for us to slow things down, but a suggestion unlikely to be heeded. And so it goes with us racing around, doing this, doing that, but with the liability of skipping details, neglecting specifics.

Much of this week could have us dithering around, so let’s avoid putting too much pressure on ourselves to accomplish a great deal. Whatever we do achieve may have to be reworked or tweaked later on.

The latter part of the week may have us concentrating on fixups around our home, whether in preparation of Labor Day festivities or to be ready for our return to our autumn schedule.

The weekend can be a time of a good fun summer blowout. We do have our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square to contend with, but we are unlikely to allow any parade rainers to douse our spirits or diminish our good times. We do have to be wary that we’re just not too much for some people, for relationships might get a little dicey, even contentious.

Monday, August 30th – Considering Prospects, Sun, Saturn, Mercury Libra. Monday starts the week with the Gemini Moon with the Moon square the Sun and the Moon triggering an Air Grand Trine with the Gemini Moon trine Saturn in Aquarius today and the Moon trine Venus in Libra tomorrow. Mercury exits its own Sign of Virgo to enter Libra [1:10 AM EDT]. We might have a lot on our plate as we start the week. We may frontload some of our week’s tasks to the early part of the week in order for us to ease into the long holiday weekend coming up. What we have to be wary about is glossing over our involvements and not focusing on the details. Let’s remember the old saying: ‘the devil is in the details’, and we could bear that truth out today. Diversity may be our play for today, juggling any number of things, none of them too well. This Monday is better served considering a wide range of possibilities rather than implementing any one of them. We might talk up a storm today and certainly our relationships are likely to improve. We are far less critical and caustic, more willing to be collaborative and accepting people’s input. This week is not a week to try and get things done, since our heart just isn’t into it. Our efforts are liable to be half-assed and messy for much of this week. If we can take this week as a ‘time out’, enjoy the dying embers of summer and not put any pressure on ourselves, we might find that we are recharging our batteries, reinvigorating ourselves and readying for implementations after next Monday’s New Moon and the end of the Labor Day holiday weekend, the unofficial end to the summer season.

Tuesday, August 31st – All Fun and Games Until – Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Jupiter, Lunar T-Square, Mars, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today continuing the Air Grand Trine with the Moon having been trine to Saturn in Aquarius yesterday and the Gemini Moon trine Venus in Libra to begin this Tuesday, and the Moon trine Jupiter in Aquarius later in the day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eight and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer early on Wednesday morning. Between the Moon’s two trines today, the Moon also triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Gemini Moon square Mars in Virgo and the Moon square Neptune in Pisces. Any screw-ups yesterday in carrying out our obligations could be replicated on this Tuesday and again on Thursday. Much of this week is better for relationships and good times rather than trying to get things done with concentrated effort. Our thoughts and our intentions are anywhere other than our familiar routine, so why try and push it when the energies do not favor successful outcomes? We might be trying to do too much. With a desire to have our plate clean in order to take full advantage of some fun times over the weekend, we may be putting too much on our plate. Let’s keep in mind that the Virgo New Moon is late on next Monday and triggers a far more productive two-week period when we can focus on our goals and not skip over significant particulars. This week would be a good time for us to clean things up, put things away, enjoy ourselves, and rest up for the grind ahead as we get back into familiar routines with the influence of the Virgo New Moon next Monday.

Wednesday, September 1st – Time Out – Mercury, Sun. The Moon moves into Cancer with the Moon square Mercury early in the day and the Moon sextile the Sun later in the day. After two days when the gift of gab could have had us involved in any number of conversations, we might seek a ‘time out’ on this Wednesday. Whether we hide out at home or we decide not to answer calls or texts, this Wednesday would be a good time for us to catch our breath, withdraw from the hurly-burly of the outside world, and take care of our self. It’s hard not to notice the anxiety and fearfulness in the world nowadays and how it is impacting the people we know, virtually everyone we know. There are times when we can get overwhelmed by all the negativity. With everything that has gone on, going on, it is hard not to imagine the world circling the drain with an inevitable movement towards a dystopian future. Instead of getting caught up in the dysfunctionality that seems evident in every aspect of society right now, we need to step away, regroup and recharge. Staying in the safe, happy place of our home or going out into the sanctuary of nature’s cathedral where we see the perfection of the divine, Wednesday is a day for us to take care of our mental health and our well-being.

Thursday, September 2nd – All Too Much – Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Mars. Thursday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today sextile Uranus, the Moon square Venus, the Moon trine Neptune, and the Moon sextile Mars. Mars opposes Neptune. If we could go off into la-la-land today, that might be our preference. Everything on this Thursday might just be a little too much for us to handle. Someone could put demands on us. We do have to be wary of indulgences, escaping into excess as an avoidance of our daily involvements. Our energy may not be at its optimum. We might feel drained, depleted and without knowing why. Let’s be careful around water today. There can be boating accidents or mishaps on the water. If we don’t push ourselves, this day could be effectively used to move things around in our living environment, incorporating the new and different as symbolic of a new turn of events for our self. Finding our sanctuary and luxuriating in our solitude might be the best panacea for us. If we are taking off for the long holiday weekend, it would be wise to add on time and not push to meet a self-imposed deadline. Thursday is a day when it might all be too much, so let’s slow it down and not feel compelled to get everything done. Tuesday and Thursday are two days this week when we need to be certain not to forego significant particulars or rush ahead without checking and re-evaluating the parameters as we move forward.

Friday, September 3rd – Starting Early – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday has the Cancer Moon opposed Pluto to begin this Friday. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost ten and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo. We might decide to tie up loose ends early on this Friday, but we are likely to give greater thought to our planned weekend activities. This is a day when any attention to detail gets lost to our desire to enjoy ourselves. We’re coming into the long Labor Day holiday weekend, and we are ready to start our festivities early. This summer for many of us may have been a bust, or at least not lived up to our hopes much less our expectations, but this unofficial end to summer weekend is when we may want to go for all the gusto. Fun events, get-togethers with good friends, enjoying ourselves to the max are all on our plate for this weekend. And we are starting it early. Friday is a good time to start our holiday weekend, but it would be wise for us to keep eyes and ears wide open, add on extra time for whatever we plan to, and have contingency plans in case of the need for alterations or making significant changes. It would be nice if everything were smooth sailing, but life has its ups and downs, turnarounds, especially during these disruptive times of the paradigm shift. Remember that adaptability and flexibility are key and necessary characteristics during this paradigm shift for successful navigation of the suddenly and rapidly changing currents.

Saturday, September 4th – Twists and Turns – Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Uranus. Saturday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today sextile Mercury, and the Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square as the Leo Moon opposes Saturn and the Moon squares Uranus. Mercury trines Saturn. We may have grand plans on this Saturday. We are up for enjoying ourselves, beating our chest wildly and exclaiming to the world: “Here I am world!” Unfortunately, despite our greatest intentions, we could also experience various curveballs to upset our grand intentions. Delays might put a crimp in our schedule, and unexpected developments are liable to demand alternate trajectories to the day. If we would think things through and not fall into a narcissistic rage but rather consider what our options can be, we could avoid being thwarted by any frustrations today and instead discover that some great events are open to us that we weren’t even aware. These times demand that we accept the attitude of “if you are handed lemons, make lemonade.” We just have to twist and turn to have positive outcomes to our weekend activities.

Sunday, September 5th – Good Times, If Only – Venus, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto. Sunday has the Leo Moon engaged with the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm as the Leo Moon sextiles Venus and the Moon opposes Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo later in the day. Venus squares Pluto. If our plans were disrupted yesterday or delayed, this Sunday can more than make up for it. Relationships can be upbeat and fun encounters, but we might be trying to cram too much in a short period of time. Too much is too much, and we could go down that path on this Sunday. The energy shifts late in the day, and it would be wise for us to bear in mind that during these times many of us are either stuck in fully accepting the narrative as it is being told or are contrarians to consensus opinion. And that can be a problem in our discussions. We have to be very careful in what we say, how we say it, and to whom we say it. Consideration of alternate viewpoints or even contrary perspectives are no longer appreciated. Instead, it would be wise that we preach only to the choir and accept the recognition that most people only want to hear reaffirmations of their own assumptions and beliefs. Let’s keep discussions light and upbeat and focus on having a good time on this long holiday weekend.
