November 13th – 19th, 2023

The astrology for this week of November 13th through the 19th of 2023 has us back on the chain gang with us needing to cool our jets, keep aware and mindful, and be prepared for unexpected situations forcing our hand.

The week begins with the Scorpio New Moon and the energy intensified by a conjunction with Mars and all three of the Sun, Moon and Mars opposed to Uranus.

Let’s keep in mind that the New Moon signature influences the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 27th. This next two-week period calls for us to avoid impetuous actions, rash decisions, and any rushes to judgment.

It would be nice if we could maintain an attitude of peace and serenity, but first we’d have to find such dispositions amidst the craziness of these times.  Perhaps we need to find it in ourselves, for ourselves.

The volatility of these times may be evident in the financial markets, attempts at dampening the anger and frenzy of political opinions, and seeking resolution to the armed conflicts going on around the world.  It’s not just Israel – Gaza, Ukraine – Russia with which the US is involved.  We have the concern about Taiwan – China and any response to the coup in Niger.  US troops are on watch, even engaged, on many fronts.

This week could prove a real roller coaster type week, and it would be suggested that we keep an eye on what is going on in the world and not be oblivious to distant external affairs that might spin out of control and have a significant direct impact on our personal lives.

With Uranus highlighted over this two-week period, we need to ‘expect the unexpected’.

We may have to keep on our toes, recognize that things can change swiftly and dramatically, and maintain our composure.

The roller coaster ride of our lifetime can be dynamic and thrilling.  We just need to realize that very little, if anything, seems stable or secure nowadays.

Monday, November 13th – Keeping a Grip – Scorpio New Moon, Sun, Uranus, Mars, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn.  This week begins with the Scorpio New Moon with the Sun, Moon and Mars all conjunct, in opposition to Uranus, and in trine by orb to Neptune.  Later in the day, the Moon sextiles Pluto, then the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius where the Moon squares Saturn towards the end of the day.  As we have experienced over recent months, the Moon aspects in succession the three transcendental planets of Uranus, then Neptune, and then Pluto.  Today’s signature impacts the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 27th.   By now, we should have developed our skills at life’s dodgeball of diving, ducking, and dodging some of the inexplicable incidents that come virtually out of nowhere.  Today and for the next two weeks we need to stay aware, maintain a semblance of composure, and deal with whatever comes our way.  It would be wise for us to be judicious with our finances, conservative in our expenditures, and focus on our base of operations.  Volatility today and over the next two weeks could be extreme with episodes of energy releases.  Let’s engage our home as a sanctuary and safe refuge from the crazies operating out in the world.

Tuesday, November 14th – Light Dispels Darkness – Mercury, Venus.  Tuesday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today conjunct Mercury and the Moon sextile Venus.  While our emotions can be ratcheted up at times of New Moons and Full Moons and despite the liable intensity of yesterday’s New Moon over the next fortnight, this Tuesday can be a splendid day.  We could be lighthearted, feeling more upbeat and enjoying our connections with other people.  This is a good day to get together with that special someone, talk about all the positive aspects of our lives, and make plans for far-flung adventures.  With unexpected matters disrupting intentions over the next two weeks, it would be suggested that we confirm any plans, allow for extra time to get from place to place, and recognize that there are times when contingency strategies are necessary in order to alter arrangements.  If we escaped yesterday unscathed, today and the rest of the week can be highly enjoyable.

Wednesday, November 15th – Up to a Point – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Venus.  Wednesday has the Moon continuing its transit of Sagittarius with the Moon square Neptune late in the day.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn early on Thursday morning.  Mercury sextiles Venus.  Similar to yesterday’s energies, this Wednesday can be a highly enjoyable day.  Social interactions may be upbeat and pleasant encounters.  Even entitled ‘me’ generations are more interested in what is going on with the other person rather than their singular, narcissistic self-focus.  If we have the opportunity, Tuesday and Wednesday could serve as ‘mental health’ days with a little help from our friends.  These two days are days to be with people who appreciate their lives, recognize their blessings, and spread joy and happiness wherever they go.  Attitude is a choice, and it would be suggested that we stay away from the Debbie Downers and Eeyores, the whiners who see life from a negative viewpoint and only as a struggle, unjust and unfair.  Other people’s mindset can be contagious with us brought down by the negative folk or raised up by those who focus on the positives in life.  Let’s opt for the latter.

Thursday, November 16th – Rested Up, Ready to Go – Saturn, Jupiter, Venus.  The Moon moves into Capricorn early Thursday morning with the Capricorn Moon sextile Saturn early in the day, the Moon trine Jupiter later in the day, and the Moon square Venus in the evening.  Tuesday and Wednesday could have been two excellent days to reinvigorate in the company of other people and ready us for a two-day cycle on Thursday and Friday of nose to grindstone when we can be highly effective and productive.  Planning what needs to get done can get us on course for expedited achievements of various practical matters that we need to accomplish.  We may be in no mood to entertain distractions or even input from other people today.  We are focused, concentrating on what we wish to accomplish.  Late in the afternoon we might feel pleased by how much we were able to address.  While Tuesday and Wednesday were great days energetically to enjoy the company of other people, the evening hours may prove dicey regarding relationships.  Someone might feel neglected, especially if we showered our attention on them the past two days.  But these times do speak of volatility in the energies.  There are times to take things down a notch or two and enjoy ourselves; other times when we feel the need to put the pedal to the metal and concentrate on our responsibilities.  Thursday and Friday provide the energy to take care of business more than engage social occasions.

Friday, November 17th – Ratcheting Up – Uranus, Neptune, Sun, Mars.  Friday has the Moon continuing its transit of Capricorn with the Capricorn Moon today trine Uranus, the Moon sextile Neptune in Pisces, and the Moon sextile both the Sun and Mars both in Scorpio.  Both Mars and the Sun trine Neptune.  If we used yesterday to pursue our various tasks, this Friday can turn up the volume and move us into turbo-thrust.  Today we can ratchet up our productivity by prioritizing our activities, engaging our intuitive sense, and utilizing streamlined and time management skills.  We may feel as though we are moving fast ahead with all our various involvements.  During this paradigm shift, the boundaries between dimensions are a great deal thinner.  Today we might have the sense of being pushed, impelled to move ahead with our most significant involvements.  We might feel guided by forces beyond our own, beyond our physical dimension.  Once in gear, there can be little stopping us today.  Our determination to persevere may be invincible.  We just need to take our time, decide on our priorities, and then turn on the switch for an acceleration in getting things done.  The one caveat is not to fall prey to egotism, for if we think too much of our personal abilities, we could lose the connection with the forces beyond our control.  These times suggest we acknowledge higher forces, universal forces, what some would call angels or spirit guides.  As Shakespeare’s Hamlet affirms: “There are more things in heaven and earth… than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

Saturday, November 18th – Changing Gears – Pluto, Moon Void—of-Course, Jupiter, Sun, Mars.  In the early morning hours of Saturday, the Capricorn Moon conjuncts Pluto.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius where late in the day the Aquarius Moon squares Jupiter.  The Sun conjuncts Mars.  The New Moon on this past Monday that influences the two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 27th is likely to escalate the energy and intensify the passions.  Nothing may be done in half measure.  As a result, much of this week could have seen indications of ‘play hard, work hard’ alternating through the week.  This Saturday continues this metronome-like quality, although we shift from the past two days when we might have been solely absorbed with what we chose to accomplish and worked hard into a recreational mode over this weekend and play hard.  We may be more interested in social engagements or looking to our future interests than attending to tasks.  Late in the day, we need to be wary of overindulgence.  Our expenditures can be weighty with little thought to the consequences of increasing our credit card balance.  We could get so caught up in having a good time that we lose sight of the costs involved.  Let’s avoid being generous to a fault.

Sunday, November 19th – Good Time, Charlie – Venus, Mercury, Uranus.  Sunday continues with the Aquarius Moon with the Moon today trine Venus and the Moon sextile Mercury early in the day, and the Moon square Uranus late in the day.  The good times of yesterday continue this Sunday.  This is a splendid day to get together with a special someone.  Engaging in conversations, joining in social activities, or taking a drive about would be ways to enjoy this day and give an energetic thrust to our lives.  We are not interested in being hemmed in or just doing ‘same old, same old’.  This is a day for adventure, spreading our wings and enjoying the bounties of doing life.  A little bit of this, a little bit of that might be far preferable than doing the same thing all day today.  Today is a day for sampling variety in all sorts of participations.  Late in the day, we might question whether we have had too much fun and neglected our responsibilities, but it would be wise for us to remember the roller-coaster style of life right now, where the energies at times suggest focusing on what we need to get done, other times a vent of our energies to enjoy ourselves, to recharge and reinvigorate.  We have worked hard this week, and this weekend is geared for relaxation and for enjoyment.  Some of us might even use this weekend as a getaway for a long Thanksgiving holiday week.  There always need to be moments for a good time, Charlie.
