January 30th – February 5th, 2023

The astrology for this week of January 30th through the 5th of February of 2023 may have us in fine style during the week only to have us running for cover from the maddening crowd over the weekend.

The week begins with us ready, willing and able to multi-task. We may be feeling confident of our abilities to juggle any number of things. We just have to strategize our plans, utilize time management skills, and try not to do too much too soon. If we can get a handle on our enthusiasm, then we could proceed effectively through any number of matters that we wish to attend to.

Changing up things, taking alternative approaches, and being more effective with less expenditure of energy would allow us to successfully accomplish a good number of activities. We do not have to take everything from beginning to end, but instead might consider doing things in spurts, a little here, a little there.

A good time management skill is working with time in a qualitative manner rather than a quantitative measure. Perhaps our personal productive time cycle is twenty minutes or forty minutes. It is the amount of time when we are full on, and before our energy and focus start to waver. If we can determine our productive time cycle, we could go from one thing to another to another back to the first, all the while that we are using our optimum time cycle to be most effective.

The end of the week and the weekend may prove challenging, a tug-of-war between what we want to do and unexpected situations that demand our attention, or a push-pull between our personal interests and those of someone else.

The weekend closes out with the Leo Full Moon and a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Sun Moon opposition square Uranus in Taurus. Let’s keep in mind almost mantram-like two of the key characteristics of these times: flexibility and adaptability.

Unexpected developments may play havoc with our intentions.

Monday, January 30th – Off and Running – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Jupiter, Mars. Monday begins this week with the Taurus Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over two and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini early in the morning. The Gemini Moon today squares Venus, the Moon sextiles Jupiter and the Moon conjuncts Mars. It would be wise for us to plan out this Monday before we start the day. As the day unfolds, we could be drawn to any number of distractions. Our emotions might get us into trouble if we engage sentiment over reason. We are likely to be influenced by our emotions, which could cause serious problems if we go solely on our feelings and our compassion without considering due diligence. We could feel like we’re acting as a savior when we are liable to being martyr, getting involved with someone’s problems, and their karma, with little hope of successful resolution but sacrificing our own opportunities. If we can rein in our desire to be of assistance and focus on our own personal interests, we may be highly effective and productive and get more done than we can possibly imagine. Wise choices lead to beneficial outcomes.

Tuesday, January 31st – All in This Together – Sun. Tuesday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon trine the Sun. Conversations can be scintillating and might make us aware of information to which we had been oblivious. We can learn of advances in technology and new technology programs [e.g. OpenAI’s programs: ChatGPT, which if you have not checked out, you probably should, and its cousin DALL-E]. The future is upon us with technological wizardry advances that will become more pronounced with Pluto entering Aquarius towards the end of March. Relationships today may be upbeat, encouraging and enlightening. This is a day for us to take off our blinders, throw open wide our perspective, and consider even outlandish possibilities. It is important that we keep in mind the old saying ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’, a saying added weight by the asequential reality that we are entering, where things can occur in the most unexpected manner and with a little help from our friends, whether our friends are personal connections or the universal forces paving a way. This Tuesday is a day for us to have our antennae up and be open to receive fascinating suggestions. Welcome to the Mutual Admiration Society, where we appreciate that we are all one and all in this together.

Wednesday, February 1st – Awash in Possibilities – Neptune, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. The Moon continues its transit of Gemini on this Wednesday with the Moon square Neptune during our sleeping hours and the Moon trine Saturn as we awaken to start our day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer later in the day. Our sleep may be animated and our dream state awash with all sorts of possibilities. We might take a magical, mystery tour in our sleep with various fantasies that seem completely real in our astral world with us awakening to a vast array of potential involvements. Fortunately, while our thoughts might veer into illusions and delusions, the morning hours allow for a strong and practical filtration process with us able to focus on the truly realizable and dismiss the totally outlandish or impractical. Whatever our intentions might be both for this day and for our future, it would be wise to have a trusted confidante evaluate our prospects like being a devil’s advocate to point out where we could go astray and find ourselves descending a rabbit hole. This week can have us considering a wide assortment of possibilities. We just need to use both our own filtration system and the critiques of our goals by other people to focus on the attainable.

Thursday, February 2nd – Welcome to Groundhog Day – Jupiter, Venus, Uranus. Thursday has the Cancer Moon square Jupiter, the Moon trine Venus, and the Moon sextile Uranus. The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are engaged with the likelihood of a positive spin or else an excessive spinout. The past three days may have had us juggling any number of interests and activities, and the liability of overreach or extending ourselves beyond our capabilities cannot be discounted, even on this Thursday. We might question our ability to pull off some of our greatest desires with a negative belief that we have been and continue to be stuck in the muck and the mire with little escape from our humdrum existence additionally threatened by the crazy antics occurring in the world-at-large. Instead of being our own personal judge, jury and executioner with a despondent attitude that we are unlikely to attain our greatest hopes and dreams, today may call upon us to engage our faith, our belief in god, higher forces, guardian angels, or whatever energies and frequencies we recognize as higher and more attuned than our own. Prayer and intention go a long way towards realizing our objectives. We can virtually move mountains, realize the unattainable, through the combination of prayer and persistence. It is important that we tone down our conditioned arrogance, narcissism and self-importance with the assumption that we are in total control of our destiny, and instead be open to being co-creators with the universe unfolding in our lives. Surprises late in the day could be uplifting and affirm the sense of magic and mini-miracles of the paradigm shift.

Friday, February 3rd – In or Out – Mercury, Neptune, Sun, Uranus. Friday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today opposed Mercury and the Moon trine Neptune. The Sun squares Uranus. Similar to yesterday, today can have us betwixt and between our faith and our reasoning mind. Why not engage them both? We may be called upon to enlist our faith in order to offset any negative thoughts of our activities not working out in accord with our intentions. Any fearfulness or anxiety would tip the scales to the unworkable or unrealizable. Similar to yesterday, it would be suggested that we accept an understanding of our own personal destiny and move ahead with a practical approach to achieving successful results. This is a day for us to heed the understanding of the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi with its ‘perfection of imperfection’. If our negative self-critiquing doesn’t keep us catatonic and stuck on square one, we could proceed through this day looking to advance our interests, all the while recognizing that our trajectory can shift and change at any point along the way and that our efforts can always be tweaked and reworked later on. Any journey, any project, begins with a first step. Let’s take that step today, even if we assume that the factors are against us. One of the beauties in this paradigm shift is unexpected developments that can pull us out of stuck situations or provide us clues in our scavenger hunt in developing our goals. Just because certain activities might be frustrated or delayed does not mean that they cannot eventually develop. Sometimes our intentions are premature and not at the right time, a time that proves right later on.

Saturday, February 4th – A Day for Play – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter, Venus, Mars. The early morning hours of Saturday has the Cancer Moon opposed Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes is transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo. The Leo Moon trines Jupiter. Venus squares Mars. After a week when we may have exhausted ourselves by trying to take on too much or feeling whipsawed between our emotions and our practicality, this Saturday is a day for us to put aside our usual responsibilities and obligations. Even if we still have outstanding matters to complete, it would be wise for us to accept this Saturday as a ‘mental health’ day and a day to play, to reinvigorate and reenergize. Whatever tasks that have yet to be completed can be concluded at another time. We do have to be careful to avoid going into indulgence to the extreme or having a tug-of-war with someone regarding what we are choosing to do. After a week when we have considered a wide realm of engagements and dealt with self-critiquing our involvements, people are likely to want to be on center stage today, more in control of their choices and perhaps a little too demanding. Let’s keep our relationships pleasant and our involvements in line with the advice of ‘moderation in all things’.

Sunday, February 5th – Back in the Fun House – Mars, Uranus, Lunar T-Square, Leo Full Moon, Sun. Sunday has the Leo Moon sextile Mars, and the Moon square Uranus just before the Sun Moon opposition at the Leo Full Moon [1:29 PM EST]. We may be primed for good times with good friends on this Sunday, continuing some of our activities yesterday. But the day might be more reminiscent of the Fun House at amusement parks, where the floor slants precipitously, mirrors confuse our spatial sense, and we find it difficult, nearly impossible, to maintain our balance. Whatever we have planned for this Sunday, unexpected incidents can call for us to be flexible and adaptable. Our plans may have to be altered to changing circumstance. This is a day that demands that we keep our antennae up, not feel thwarted by surprising developments, and to let go of any belief that we can totally control our circumstance and our conditions. If we feel frustrated by unexpected interruptions, it would be wise for us not to try and force our will but instead accept that these times are times of unanticipated variables which can impact our plans, our finances, and our belief in our being in total control of our life experience. Today is a day for us to ‘chill out’ and not try and roll the boulder up the mountain, or force conditions to our will.
