April 18th – 24th, 2022

The astrology for this week of April 18th through the 24th of 2022 offers us glimpses into the magic of this paradigm shift, if we are willing to take off our blinders, get out of our own way, and open ourselves to a wide range of possibilities, even the seemingly impossible.

The week begins in a most fascinating manner with unexpected developments and wonderful surprises. If we are willing to let go of our preconceived notions and be receptive to the mystery of these times, we could find ourselves in a whirlwind of exciting opportunities and new trajectories of which we had been unaware. Serendipity and synchronicity are in play as we start this week. We just have to be receptive to the underlying tenor of the paradigm shift we are transitioning through.

As the week unfolds, we have a major Sign shift as the Sun exits Aries to enter Taurus. We lose the Fire element but gain a Stellium in Taurus as the Sun joins Mercury and Uranus in the Fixed Earth Sign. We now have two Stelliums, the one in Pisces with Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Neptune in the Mutable Water Sign, and now the one in Taurus. We can have faith in our personal destiny, our individual earth life journey, with a willingness to get our hands dirty and employ practical application to plant our seeds, nourish our growth and develop our intentions.

This week is a time when we could put our spirit into action. We are able to have our head in the clouds and our feet firmly planted on the ground.

While this week may be a highly productive week, we end the weekend with our old nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square engaged. Things might move smoothly along until we hit some bumps in the road. Trying to enforce old ways on new trajectories will not work. Assuming total control over asequential reality would be foolhardy with liable dire consequences. In the transformation each and every one of us is going through we are being asked, challenged and even demanded, that we let go of control, work with the energies that are unfolding, and be co-creators with the universal energies in our making our way forward.

Monday, April 18th – Do You Believe in Magic – Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury, Venus, Uranus. Monday begins the week with the Scorpio Moon square Saturn, the Moon trine both Neptune and Jupiter both in Pisces, and the Moon sextile Pluto. Late in the day, the Moon exits Scorpio and enters Sagittarius. Mercury conjuncts Uranus, Venus sextiles Uranus, and the Sun squares Pluto. Last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is engaged, first by the Moon opposed Uranus yesterday, and the Moon square Saturn today. While there can be some bumps along the roadway on this Monday, they will only impact our chassis if we try to be in control of situations. The beauty of this day is for us to step aside, get out of our own way and be receptive to most interesting surprises. We can have some of those ‘ah-ha’ moments when everything becomes crystal clear, and the most formidable difficulties are easily resolved. We might be some conduit to an understanding that goes beyond our reasoning, rational mind. We may also experience serendipitous encounters when we hear from or bump into people unexpectedly and in the most bizarre manner. This is a day when magic could prevail, as long as we don’t muck it up by our being arrogant and narcissistic. Life during this time can seem crazy, but the craziness is ever greater by drawing upon our old mindset when in truth these disruptive, tumultuous times are dynamic and provide the impetus for radical changes and significant transformations. We just have to believe, believe in magic and accept indications of countless mini-miracles.

Tuesday, April 19th – Ground Control – Mars, Sun Taurus. The Sagittarius Moon squares Mars, and the Sun exits Aries to enter Taurus [10:24 PM EDT]. Yesterday could have been chock full of interesting developments, wonderful surprises. Even if more muted than the parting of the Red Sea, yesterday may still have had some extraordinary circumstances. This Tuesday can have us expectant that the energy of yesterday will continue into this day, and in anticipation we could stretch a little too much, take on too much, or assume too much that everything will go our way. As a consequence, we may become sorely disappointed when our expectations don’t match the reality. If we could tone down our excitement today, then we would be able to implement our plans in a practical manner. While there are times when we are able to leap across chasms, there are other times when a step-by-step approach takes longer but is far more effective and productive. With the Sun entering Taurus late in the day, we now have a Stellium in the Fixed Earth Sign. We lose our Fire but gain greater willingness to take a slower, more methodical approach to engaging our activities. With a Stellium in Fixed Earth and a Stellium in Mutable Water, we can draw upon our foresight, visualization and faith in a pragmatic and grounded manner. We may have less likelihood of going off on an impetuous tear and more focused on a step-by-step approach. We could liken it to Aesop’s Fable of “The Tortoise and the Hare” where our assertive and fast-paced life tones down to a more concentrated and in-depth lifestyle.

Wednesday, April 20th – Too Far, Too Soon – Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday has the Sagittarius Moon sextile Saturn, and the Moon square the three Pisces transiting planets of Venus, Neptune and Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn late in the day. We could be feeling our oats on this Wednesday, especially if we have been able to glide along avoiding any sort of mishap over the past two days. We are likely feeling upbeat and confident today with a sense that not only can we be pragmatic in our endeavors but that we are able to focus on the fundamentals with a good dose of patience thrown in. There is a liability today of our fooling ourselves. This is a day when we may not read the signals correctly and can either take a wrong trajectory or buy into illusions. What we have to be wary of is any sense that our personal destiny is inevitable and that we shall be guided and assisted by the universe in all our movements. Overconfidence and bloated optimism might have us trying to go too far, too fast and too soon. Thursday and Friday are far more productive days when we can rectify any errors made from our exuberance and enthusiasm. There are no mistakes, only lessons.

Thursday, April 21st – Back on Track – Sun, Mars, Uranus. Thursday has the Capricorn Moon with the Moon bookending a trine to the Sun to begin the day and the Moon trine Uranus to end the day. In between, the Moon sextiles Mars. Whether we have accomplished much during this week or been only riding the air currents enjoying a ‘feel good’ attitude, Thursday and Friday could prove highly productive when we are effective and operating at our optimum. Even if we got entranced by all sorts of possibilities earlier this week, and we might have with the elements of magic on Monday, today and tomorrow allow us to get things done. By taking care of our responsibilities early in the day, we can entertain prospects later in the day. We could devise streamlined methodology to achieve our goals. If we take our time to plan out our day, we may be able to check off a great number of our tasks quickly and effectively. The latter part of the day provides the space for us to consider options and alternatives for which we might not otherwise have time. Let’s use Thursday and Friday as two days when we could get back on track, complete responsibilities, and consider future trajectories for ourselves.

Friday, April 22nd – Heeding the Muse – Venus, Mercury, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto. Friday is Earth Day, and this Friday gives us the energy to have our head in the clouds and our feet firmly planted on the ground. This past Wednesday had the Sagittarius Moon squaring the Pisces transiting planets of Venus, Neptune and Jupiter. This Friday has the Capricorn Moon sextile the same three Pisces transiting planets. The Moon also trines Mercury and the Moon conjuncts Pluto at the end of the day. Whereas Wednesday might have had us in a fog, Friday could have us both crystal clear in our thinking and highly intuitive as to the right sense of things. We might feel divinely guided today. If we used yesterday and today to resolve various matters and effectively address our responsibilities, this Friday could also provide time for us to reflect, contemplate and heed the muse. Our creative abilities can be strong today, our compassion engaged, and we may find ourselves employing our spirit into action. Not only could we deal with what we need to get done, but we can be helpful to other people in dealing with their problems. Let’s be certain to take some time to tap into our spiritual nature. Walks in nature, uplifting music or literature, attitudes of gratitude for the many blessings in our life; any and all might provide a healthy antidote to the continuous negative spin to situations, events, and circumstance in the world today.

Saturday, April 23rd – Bite, Bite – Sun. Saturday has the Moon moving into Aquarius where today the Aquarius Moon squares the Sun. One would have to be totally oblivious not to recognize the bite that inflation is having on us. No matter where we turn, the cost of virtually everything has increased and continues to rise sharply. Inflation through rising costs or shrinkflation through smaller sizes at the former price is having a bite on the finances of many people. Add to it the unavailability of certain products, and we can be feeling the pinch, well really a huge bite, on our disposable income. If we have plans for good times with good friends over this weekend, we might be alarmed by the cost of virtually everything. Even if we are going back to familiar events, the costs could be staggering compared to when we last enjoyed the event. If we haven’t done so already, this is a day for us to budget our expenses. While we still might have easy credit and draw upon our credit cards to ‘charge it’, adding to our debt during rising interest rates might only lead to a staggering debt load difficult to get out from under. It would be wise for us to balance our desires with our capability to afford them. We may all be conditioned into instant gratification, but such behavior comes with costs, and increasingly rising costs.

Sunday, April 24th – Flights of Fancy or Depths of Despair – Uranus, Saturn, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune. Sunday continues with the Aquarius Moon with the Moon triggering the Saturn Uranus square by the Moon square Uranus and the Moon conjunct Saturn. The Moon squares Mercury before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces early on Monday morning. Mercury squares Saturn, and Mercury sextiles Neptune. A dose of reality could make us aware that we might not be able to realize some of our plans. Whether financial costs or imposed regulations, we can feel squeezed and limited in our options. While we could feel blocked, we do not have to give into despair. Let’s keep in mind the concept that ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’. And during this time of paradigm shift, things can occur in the most extraordinary ways. Visualization is a powerful tool, and we may draw upon visualizing what we wish to accomplish by seeing our successful achievement of our goal. We do not have to know all the details, only our end goal. Despite all the threats in the world, we are able to navigate the currents, focus on our individual journey, and realize what might be foreordained for us. Our success may not be the way we would assume it to be or what it would be, but each of us can attain our intended destiny. This weekend might have some brambles to it, but let’s do something different than our usual weekend activities. Flights of fancy today are far better than plunging into depths of despair.
