September 27th – October 3rd, 2021

The astrology for this week of September 27th through the 3rd of October 2021 gives us the start of the third and final of the year’s Mercury retrograde. Murphy’s Law of “whatever could go wrong can go wrong” is engaged and highlights relationship matters.

All three of the Mercury retrogrades this year have been in Air Signs, the first in Aquarius, the second in Gemini, and now the third in Libra. Thoughts, ideas, interactions with other people have all been areas of consideration, challenges and reworkings.

With the beginning of the week having the start of the Mercury retrograde and within orb of autumn’s Mercury square Pluto, we have to be wary that we don’t engage a great number of prospects without considering the conditions in which we are operating and the essential components necessary to accomplish our goals. Otherwise, we could be on a fool’s errand that only wastes our time and our resources.

Mid-week, we might be more attuned to what is really going on, be far more practical with our plans, but with the caveat that we not try and take on too much. It would be wise for us to remind ourselves that things are easily achieved in concept and in mind rather than the practical implementation for successful realization.

The latter part of the week might reinforce society’s recent addiction to entitlement, that what we want we should have, even for no apparent reason other than we deserve whatever we desire. If things do not go according to our wishes, an old mindset based upon the past paradigm, people may get petulant to the point of being argumentative and contentious.

From the constant haranguing of fear and restrictions to our actions, everyone is liable to be on edge with occasional outbursts likely to vent frustrations and disappointments.

The weekend is a pleasant reprieve from a great deal of the intensity of these disruptive, tumultuous times. Enjoying ourselves, with someone, with other people, or just on our own, can alleviate much of the pressure and have us reconnect with the natural rhythms of the universal unfolding. Even if it is only mantram-like, reminding ourselves repeatedly that ‘life is good’ is a healthy antidote to the craziness in the world, the dysfunctionalities and the indications of the world turning into a dystopia. In truth, life is good, and we are repeatedly showered with blessings and wondrous incidents.

Monday, September 27th – Murphy’s in the House – Neptune, Jupiter, Mercury retrograde. Monday begins the week with the Gemini Moon and with the Moon today square Neptune and the Moon trine Jupiter. Mercury turns retrograde [1:10 AM EDT] triggering Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever could go wrong can go wrong’. We may be trying to juggle any number of things as we start the week, but the liability is in our dropping the ball[s]. Today is a day to cut ourselves some slack as we try to get our sea legs with the turn of Mercury. Communications might be off. We could have Internet issues. And trying to get from one place to another can seem like operating in a maze [a maze, not a labyrinth], with traffic congestion, construction tie-ups, misdirection, and misunderstandings. If we have plans to meet anyone, even if scheduled and committed to, it would be wise to reconfirm the plans. This is a day of hiccups, and it would be suggested we maintain a bemusement at human foibles, even our own. The latter part of the day be pleasant, a good time to socialize but with the appreciation that what we are intending to say or what the other person intends to say might not always be crystal clear, even to the extreme of it seemingly like gibberish. Remember with Mercury retrograde: it is always best to postpone significant decisions and important purchases until after Mercury turns direct.

Tuesday, September 28th – Switching Gears – Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun. Tuesday begins with the Gemini Moon trine Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer, where today the Cancer Moon squares the Sun. Monday night could have had some pleasant encounters, scintillating interactions. We might even start this Tuesday in the same vein, but then the energy shifts. While we may have been more conversant last evening, we could become more reticent as this Tuesday unfolds. We are liable to want to protect our space, even to the point of withdrawing into our safe space and feeling any intrusion to be an attack. Relationships could prove dicey, and we might take umbrage to the statements or actions of someone. Instead of crawling off into our shell, a better course would be to clarify the air and hear what the other person was intending. If we allow any slights to go unresolved, misunderstandings can fester and create real difficulties in our relationships. It is important that we bear in the mind the autumn signature and the signature of the Mercury retrograde both have the influence of Mercury square Pluto, the aspect being exact on Friday. We may prefer to engage ‘yes’ people, but not everyone will be on the same page and even those who are on our same page we might misinterpret their commitment to our way of thinking. Let’s avoid being argumentative. If we need to step away to cool off and regroup, it is a far better course of action than throwing down the gauntlet.

Wednesday, September 29th – Look to the Light – Mars, Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Sun, Saturn. Wednesday has the Cancer Moon square Mars and the Moon sextile Uranus. Venus trines Neptune, and the Sun trines Saturn. We may begin this Wednesday feeling blocked or frustrated, some of which might be a residue from the past two days and an impact from the Mercury retrograde. Out of frustration we could push too hard or force things from our old mindset of our making things happen. Keep in mind the paradigm shift whereby we are no longer masters of our circumstance [as if we ever truly were!] but rather co-creators with the universe unfolding. The universe works! If we would look on the bright side of life, see the wondrous all around us, and appreciate the many good things in our life, then we might come to realize that our attitude is a large determiner of our reality. Being upbeat and confident, no matter the conditions or circumstance in which we find ourselves, can give us the necessary thrust to do whatever we can and however we can do it for successful results with assistance from the shifts and changes of the universal unfolding. This is a day for us to step back, contemplate on our various matters, and be open to insights or brilliant, unexpected suggestions from someone to pursue new ways of doing things or new trajectories that might prove far more rewarding for us. Looking beyond the appearances and the mere empirical can open us to the magic and mini-miracles of these times of paradigm shift. We just have to look to the light and be open to receive.

Thursday, September 30th – Either Receptive or Assertive – Lunar Grand Trine, Neptune, Venus, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. Thursday is a day when either we could be highly effective by means of trust in our instincts and in the goodness of the universe, or we can find ourselves hitting the wall by pushing our agenda without due diligence or serious consideration of what is really going on. Following the lead of yesterday when we might have gotten out of our own way and better accepted being co-creators with the universal unfolding with a possible consequence of things happening smoothly and easily, this Thursday has the Cancer Moon triggering a Water Element Grand Trine as the Cancer Moon trines Neptune in Pisces, and the Moon trines Venus in Scorpio. It would be far better for us to be receptive to the opportunities than trying to force matters. But the Moon also triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square which can have us trying to force issues, to push the envelope, and to make things the way we want them to be. The Cancer Moon opposes Pluto in Capricorn, and the Moon squares Mercury in Libra. Tomorrow, Mercury squares Pluto. After the Lunar T-Square, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo later in the day. The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are in square aspect. The either / or of this day could also have us acting out with extreme behavior, excessive indulgence. If we would just back off, be open to the shifting tides, and deal with things as they are occurring, we are likely to be far more effective and productive. If we push too hard, we could force matters but with the liable result of things crashing and burning, all fall down. Why go there when it would be far better to trust in the universe?

Friday, October 1st – Start the Weekend Early – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Uranus, Sun, Mars, Mercury, Pluto. Wednesday and some of Thursday might have given us the experience of things operating easily and effectively when we got out of our own way and worked with the energies unfolding. The latter part of yesterday and today could have us getting in our own way by trying to control situations or forcing things to our own accord. The Leo Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square. The Moon opposes Saturn and the Moon squares Uranus. Our saving grave today may be the Moon sextile both the Sun and Mars both in Libra. Mercury squares Pluto. This Friday is a day when it would be best for us to start the weekend early and look to the enjoyment of good times with good friends. Even if we try to deal with our obligations and responsibilities, our heart is just not likely to be in it. It would be better to put on hold our tasks or the demands on us and take a long weekend of relaxation, reinvigoration and re-creation.

Saturday, October 2nd – Going for the Gold – Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Venus, Pluto. Saturday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today sextile Mercury and the Moon triggering another Fixed Sign T-Square, this one with the Moon opposed Jupiter, and the Moon square Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course late in the day for nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo tomorrow. Venus sextiles Pluto. We had Venus square Jupiter back on Thursday, and the Moon triggering both today could lead to excess and indulgence. This is a day when it would be for us to keep track of our finances and expenditures. Although we could find some bargains to assist us in any fixup around our home, we also have to be cautious not to make significant purchases unless we have done our due diligence. Let’s keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde. Friday and Saturday are two good days to participate in fun events but with a watchful eye to the costs involved. With the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, being triggered into a Fixed Sign T-Square by a fun-loving Leo Moon, we could easily go to the max and beyond in our enjoying ourselves. The sense of ‘moderation in all things’ is suggested, possibly not heeded.

Sunday, October 3rd – Everything Is Beautiful – Mercury, Jupiter. The Moon moves into Virgo early on this Sunday but makes no aspects to the planets today. Tomorrow, the Moon will trigger a Grand Trine in the Earth Element. We can be highly productive tomorrow, but today is a day for us not to feel pressure but rather to recharge and reinvigorate. Communications are likely to be upbeat with good feelings shared. While this autumn does raise issues with relationships and especially if we run counter to other people’s opinions, any previous contentious discussions are left behind as we talk about prospects and discuss good things in life. Feeling inspired, upbeat and confident, we could also use this Sunday to plan our approach for getting things done during this coming week. Although we might feel the need to deal with our tasks, let’s recognize that tomorrow can be far more productive with us working expeditiously and getting a great deal done. Today is a day for us to enjoy life, to engage our friends, and appreciate the many blessings that each of us has.
