Winter 2020 – 2021

At the Winter Solstice on December 21st, 2020, we enter the winter season as the Sun exits Sagittarius to enter Capricorn [5:02 AM EST], and even more significantly we cross a threshold into a new world order as the ‘Great Conjunction’ of Jupiter Saturn conjunct in Aquarius triggers the technology revolution and passage into times of paradise on earth.

Not that transformations are always subtle or easy. And certainly this radical shift is liable to be dramatically disruptive with violent actings out and tumultuous events.

The ‘Great Conjunction’ heralds the intensity of push – pulls between the old and the new with the eventual result of the new world order overtaking old structures as Jupiter then passes in front of Saturn.

We engage a Technological Revolution and a New Age both with limits on the excesses of technology and advances in greater understanding of frontiers uncharted. The demand for freedom and liberty can be strong, as people seek to express their individuality and their personal talents. There could be attempts of restrictions on individual liberties, but the tide is turning from a strong Capricorn influence of authoritarian impositions to the Aquarian influence of a strong thrust of personal expressions and individual freedoms.

We are crossing a threshold and can do so by developing a new template and a regulated format by which to advance into the new, the different, the revolutionary.

Birthing comes with labor pains, and so it may be during this winter season impacted by the ‘Great Conjunction’.

Despite extremes of behavior, implosions and explosions to the old structures and formats, solace can be found in our spiritual nature, our connections with our essence, the inner truth and greater understanding of our soul characteristics.

The way forward demands faith and letting go of our preconceived notions and any belief that we solely control our destiny. Our destiny may have been written before we landed on the earth plane when through our soul’s study of the Akashic records we chose the coordinates in which to come into this life experience, but our understanding and our connection to spirit became clouded with the recognition that we are the ones who have to take the journey with our specific pathways determined by our choices and decisions through the exercise of our free will.

Another interesting factor in the chart drawn for this year’s Winter Solstice is the Bowl pattern chart with a concentration of energy and much of the focus on the larger good, our collective society, exhibited by our spirit in action.

The way of harnessing the intense energy of this winter season is with humility, being open to the unexpected, and realizing that we are in the midst of a paradigm shift where things can occur in the most inexplicable ways.

It may seem crazy-making at times, but only if we are rigid and fixed in the way we think things should happen. Flexibility and adaptability to sudden shifts and changes are called for. Being open to receive with an attitude that ‘life is good’ will ease the growing pains through this paradigm shift.

While this ‘Great Conjunction’ is the trigger into a new age, we had the opportunities of seeing some of the areas in which we could see radical transformations in society as a prelude when Saturn briefly entered Aquarius during this past Spring.

Such transformations into the new ‘normal’ in our society include:

1. Virtual instruction with education becoming more home schooling through zoom instruction and eventually master classes that may no longer need as many teachers on-site
2. Hospitality Services with online check-in and digital keys at hotels and increased robotics in restaurants such as Flippy
3. Telecommuting with more people working at home rather than in a centralized office
4. Telemedicine with non-emergency medical issues discussed and resolved via computer interactions
5. Social media platforms overtaking print media
6. Universal Basic Income with the stimulus checks providing a brief alleviation to financial concerns
7. Telebanking with the increased use of automation [ATMs] and online banking
8. Delivery services providing a sense of normalcy through home delivery of everything from groceries, meals, accessories, prescription drugs, etc.
9. AI [artificial intelligence] with algorithms for banking, data analysis, selective discernment

We have seen preludes to this Technology Revolution, but we are likely to go full bore during 2021. One of the consequences, and the collateral damage, of this Technology Revolution is that we are lessening the need for labor. Technology, AI, and machines can be more productive and often more effective than human labor.

The times they are a’changing.

The intensity of these times may be witnessed on the 23rd of December when Mars squares Pluto. An explosive energy configuration, this aspect could trigger actings out, extremes in behavior, and violent actions. This is a pugilistic energy, so we need to be cautious with our physical movements and our reactions to any trigger points. We are liable to accidents through rashness and recklessness, so it would be wise for us to pull in the reins and harness our energy.

Fortunately, the weekend of the 25th through the 27th can provide some unexpected assistance, a time when we may be privy to the magic and miracles of the paradigm shift.

If we didn’t cause harm to ourselves or be victims of circumstance on the 23rd, the weekend of the 25th – 27th may offer us wonderful insights, surprising news, and exciting trajectories of which we were unaware.

Mercury trines Uranus on the 25th, Christmas Day, followed by the Sun trine Uranus on the 27th. We may be looking towards our future goals with a recognition and appreciation that we are different from whom we have been and that we are interested in developing new trajectories for ourselves in the most expeditious manner.

Change is in the air, and although we are living during tumultuous and disruptive times, we might see the magic in the dynamic whereby things can occur in inexplicable ways and with little input from us other than accepting the strange behavior of the new paradigm.

We are not going backwards. We’re moving forward.

The month of December closes out with the Cancer Full Moon [10:28 PM EST] late on the 29th, followed by Venus square Neptune early on the 30th. Finding our balance between our professional and personal responsibilities may prove challenging, but part of what has gone on in 2020 has been like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. We are not recreating the past. On the contrary, we are likely to be operating under a completely changed template.

Since we are moving into uncharted waters to end 2020 and to begin 2021 with a vulnerability as to who we are, what we are here to do, and what the backdrop of our lives will be about, let’s engage a belief in the magic and miracles of these times and that the universe is good and that each of us is blessed.

The NOW is not a time to be whiners, complainers, and focus solely on the negative. On the contrary, NOW is a time to embrace self-realization and soul fulfillment.

Good-bye 2020. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2021 begins in a highly celebratory mood. We can be feeling upbeat, assuming that the worst is behind us and that this new year offers a blank slate with the promise that we had descended into the valley in 2020 and now can rise to the summit in 2021.

Intentions are powerful motivators, but they need determination, commitment and perseverance to follow through. The New Year begins with a Stellium in Capricorn with the Sun, Mercury and Pluto all in the Cardinal Earth Sign. After indulging, even gorging ourselves in welcoming the new year, we can use early January to determine our resolutions for the new year and begin to put them into effect.

The 1st of January has Mercury sextile Neptune. By visualizing and considering the ways by which we might realize our goals for the year, we could devise a best practices approach. It is essential that we keep in mind that no matter what our plans might be, things can shift and change suddenly and dramatically thanks to the asequential reality in which we are operating where unexpected situations can arise in the most inexplicable ways.

After the first weekend of January welcoming the new year, we may become more serious about implementing our plans. The first full week of January can be highly productive with various Sign changes switching signals but largely to our benefit.

The 4th of January has Mercury conjunct Pluto. Our mind can be sharp and incisive as we consider our long-term goals for the year, prioritize our activities, and concentrate on the specifics that will lead to the successful realization of our plans. We are likely to be no-nonsense, perhaps hyper-critical, but now is a time for us to put our spirit into action.

After transiting its own Sign of Aries since the end of June of 2020, Mars exits Aries and enters Taurus on the 6th [5:27 PM EST]. Much of our impetuousness and self-absorption and physical energy might drop off as we take on a more plodding approach. Stubbornness is likely to increase with the need for someone to trigger movement, a response quite different from the six months when Mars in Aries had people rushing ahead with all flags flying. Mars is in Detriment in Taurus, uncomfortable, since physical energy becomes muted. It’s hard to get off square one and get going.

The 8th of January has Mercury exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius [7:00 AM EST], and Venus exiting Sagittarius to enter Capricorn [10:41 AM EST. We now have two Stelliums in Capricorn and in Aquarius with Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn in the Fixed Air Sign of Aquarius, and Venus, the Sun, and Pluto in the Cardinal Earth Sign of Capricorn. While we can use these two powerpacks to have our head in the clouds and our feet on the ground, we have to be wary that we maintain the balance between the two and not be compromised by either being too airy and futuristic without considering the practical means to attain our dreams, or so practical and earth bound that we discount and negate the possibility of the plausible, and even more so the seemingly impossible.

The 8th also has the Sun sextile Neptune, and Mercury square Mars. We could have a sense of our personal destiny, what our life purpose is all about, but we might diminish the possibility of our reaching for the stars by accepting a sense that we don’t have the capabilities and the resources to achieve our greatest dreams. As suggested by Richard Bach in his spiritual classic Illusions The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah: “The original sin is to limit the Is. Don’t.”

With Mercury conjunct Saturn and Venus trine Mars on the 9th, and both Venus and Mars having just changed Signs with Mars entering Venus-ruled Taurus on the 6th and Venus entering Capricorn on the 8th, we can be highly practical and take our time in advancing our interests. This is a time when we can employ the carpenter’s sentiment of ‘measure twice, cut once’. Every journey is taken step by step, and we are willing to move along focused and in a plodding pace.

The 11th of January has Mercury conjunct Jupiter. Our thoughts may be lofty. Our focus, serious of thought and practical implementation of plans that we might have had on the 9th is likely to give way to a belief that anything and everything are possible. Not that they aren’t under the parameters of our paradigm shift into asequential reality, but we have to realize that we can no longer rely solely on our abilities to pull things off. Instead, we need to accede to the universe helping us out, which sometimes it will, sometimes it won’t.

One of the times when we might feel as though we are rolling the boulder up the mountain or are in dueling conflict with the universe could be on the 12th of January. Mercury squares Uranus, one of my least favorite configurations for air travel, communications, computer issues, and anything where our plans can be disrupted by unexpected factors. Fortunately, we are on the dark side of the Moon prior to the New Moon late tonight, early on the 13th. This energy might be mitigated, with a strong emphasis on the might, but this mid-week period from the 12th through the 14th could prove dicey and even runs through the end of the month.

We may find ourselves having to fully employ awareness and mindfulness in order to avoid upsets, conflicts and harmful situations. Let’s be careful out there.

The New Moon on the 13th [12:00 AM EST] could shake up things significantly. The Sun Moon conjunction is also conjunct Pluto. Like a volcanic eruption, things can blow. Whatever has been percolating below the surface can rise to the fore, either in a subtle but dramatic transformation or in an explosive force that could be earth-shaking. With the New Moon influence up through the Full Moon on the 28th, this two-week period can be transformative in regard to society with people acting out, liable bombings, and violent confrontations. We could see an uptick in earthquake and volcanic activity, and intense storm systems during this two-week period. Anyone want to stay home? Oh, that’s silly to write, since we are all supposed to stay home under the governmental edicts of the lockdowns.

This New Moon has two other energy configurations occurring on the 13th. Mars squares Saturn, and Venus trines Uranus. Although each of us could feel like things that have been held in are rising to the fore with a sudden release imminent, we might also feel blocked and totally exhausted by the psychic energy we’re expending. While our self-determination may seem muted by conditions and circumstance, a serendipitous encounter can pave the way forward for us by both mollifying us and suggesting alternatives we might not have been aware of. As the old and wise saying goes: “We never get more than we can handle.”

The 14th of January has the Sun conjunct Pluto and Uranus turning direct. The intensity of this mid-January period cannot be discounted. We may be looking towards our future but feeling stuck in our past. In whatever ways we can extricate ourselves from sticky situations we are likely to do so. Various twists and turns can be hasty, putting us accident prone through the rest of the month. Let’s be careful out there with a recognition that this latter part of January could experience no half measures in anything that occurs but rather abrupt, radical movements and actions that seem continually over-the-top. Could we say that this period is one when all hell is breaking loose?

Tearing things up, destabilizations and acting out with an ideological bias may be seen on the 17th when Jupiter squares Uranus. We might be interested in making changes, but tearing everything down could threaten our security without a clear plan as to how best to build anew.

We seem to be in a revolutionary mood, a time when our pent-up energy is being released spasmodically and without much forethought, just the sense of ‘change for the sake of change’.

The 19th of January has the Sun exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius [3:40 PM EST]. As it does so, the Sun ends the Stellium of three planets in Capricorn and enhances the Stellium in the Fixed Air Sign as the Sun joins Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius.

Practicality seems to be lessening. Desires and intentions seem to be increasing. Unfortunately, the ability to engage the new and transformative in a structured and methodical manner could be lost, and we can find ourselves blocked as if in a constipated, stuck state but agitating and frustrated at the same time.

Inauguration Day in the US is January 20th and a day that has Mars conjunct Uranus. What we might truly be inaugurating on this day are forms of terrorist activity — both in society and in our personal lives. Discontent can be extreme with people acting in knee-jerk reactions. As if battling against ‘what is’, actions can be thoughtless, reckless, and over-the-top. We might feel that making violent, radical changes to disrupt our stability and security will be replaced by better days through better ways. But without considering the process, both in our own decisions and of the asequential reality in the paradigm shift, we could wind up destroying present templates for something of which we might not even be able to imagine. Sometimes, changes are not always for the better.

The push – pull in the squares between the planets transiting the two Fixed Signs of Taurus and Aquarius continues on through much of February. This can be a highly frustrating time. On the one hand, we might wish to make dramatic, even radical changes to our lives with increased independence and autonomy. But on the other hand, we may be reticent, fearful of letting go of what we have in order to take a leap into an unknown future. The battle is engaged, and a battle waged both individually and as a collective.

We could find ourselves so focused on our daily routine with intentions of shaking things up that we become negligent of reflection, proper planning, and the consideration of the new parameters of the paradigm shift where the universal unfolding is a key factor in the ways that things are likely to proceed.

A case in point would be the on the 23rd of January. Mars squares Jupiter, Venus sextiles Neptune, and the Sun conjuncts Saturn. Although we are future oriented, we might try to go too far, too fast. The result could be banging our head against the wall with a great deal of exhaustion and frustration. Drawing upon a trusted confidante to provide an objective perspective can provide us greater clarity and may dampen any tendency on our part to swim against the tide.

While we are entering a new paradigm with conditions and circumstance quite different from what we have been used to, we might not have the rule book or understand this new game of life. Although it would be wise for us to temper our behavior, we are more likely to rush headlong into things with a belief that we can create the conditions according to our will. Silly humans, the times have changed, and we are ever more impacted by the universal unfolding and less influential in our belief of our mastery over circumstance.

Any head banging caused by our arrogance and narcissism continues on the 26th with the Sun square Uranus. Pushing forward based upon our willfulness can meet the intractable force of the universe. No matter how much we might try or force an issue, the twists and turns of the universe during this paradigm shift are likely to get the better of us.

The Leo Full Moon on the 28th of January [2:16 PM EST] can have us seeking a breather from all the intensity and looking instead for us to have a good time. Venus conjuncts Pluto, and the Sun conjuncts Jupiter. By prioritizing our activities and utilizing time management skills with a doff of our hat to the serendipitous incidents brought to us by the paradigm shift, we can deal with what we need to accomplish while concentrating on enjoying ourselves and preparing for our future endeavors to pursue.

We close out the month of January with the year’s first Mercury retrograde on the 30th [10:52 AM]. Here we go again with Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’ engaged for the next three weeks up to the 20th of February.

Our plans can go awry, our relationships dicey at best, and our frustration increased. We may have to rework or reconsider some of the resolutions we made for the year. Let’s keep in mind, always keep in mind, the necessity during these tumultuous, disruptive times to maintain vigilance, be aware and mindful, and engage flexibility and adaptability.

There are times when we need to go back in order to move forward.

We begin the month of February with the Sun square Mars and Venus exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius [9:05 AM EST] on the 1st. We now have five planets in the Fixed Air Sign as Venus joins the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius. While we seek balance in our lives, we have anything but balance now with the huge concentration in Aquarius.

We may have all sorts of ideas in mind, prospects for our future, but our practicality and our resources might be missing. This may be a time to create our wish list without investing a great deal into implementing our plans.

If there are still elements of lockdown enforced, many people will have little of it. The emphasis upon freedom, autonomy and independence can spark reactions against the authorities. Regulations could be disregarded, and incidents of anarchy witnessed.

The 6th of February has Venus conjunct Saturn to begin the day, and Venus square Uranus to end the day. Although we are likely to find solid commitments and a stable relationship to begin the day, the latter part of the day can create havoc with relationships and our setup as the rowdy and boisterous take hold and supplant the orderly and structured that began the day.

Change is not always easy, but does it have to be so hard?

The Sun conjunct Mercury on the 8th of February may have us brimming with ideas. Conversations can consider a wide range of topics, all with an innovative thrust. We are not looking to re-create our past. On the contrary, we are more interested in being a participant in the technological revolution of this Information Age, not merely an observer. While we may put our ideas into action, let’s keep in mind that the paradigm shift talks about unexpected incidents arising, serendipitous situations occurring. It will be important that we are not adamant about the how to accomplish our plans but have our antennae up as to a best practices approach being revealed. If we would begin the journey, the way will be made known. Let’s remember, and always remind ourselves, that we don’t have to do it all, but we do need to be open to receive surprising opportunities.

Mercury squares Mars on the 10th. Being flippant or cursory in our evaluations could create real difficulties for us. The lack of due diligence and being hasty in our movements might seem to get things done quickly but with all sorts of problems liable to eventually trip us up and bring our plans to rack and ruin. Fortunately, we are on the dark side of the Moon on the 10th, which might mitigate the possible liabilities of pushing issues better dealt with at another time.

The Aquarius New Moon on the 11th of February [2:06 PM EST] has the Sun Moon conjunction, and a conjunction of Venus and Jupiter, the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm. There are six planets in Aquarius at the time of this New Moon, which is also the Chinese New Year, this year being the year of the yin metal Ox. With eight of the planets in Fixed Signs at the time of the New Moon, we can certainly see stubbornness, rigidity and fixity in play, and at a time when we are in process of building anew. The imprint for the next two weeks can have us feeling upbeat, optimistic and feeling the love. Everyone may want to accentuate their individuality, their freedom of movement, and the ability to do their own thing. No wing-clippers, please, for this two-week cycle speaks to marching to one’s own drumbeat. All options are likely on the table. Spontaneity and spur-of-the-moment actions could be the hallmark of this lunation cycle.

The first few days of this lunation cycle seem close to idyllic, and it would be wise for us to fully enjoy ourselves, recharge our batteries and celebrate the goodness in our lives. It might prove both a pleasant relief to life as we have known it and a healthy preparation for the intensity during the next week of mid-February.

The 13th – 14th of February can be a highly pleasant weekend. It’s Valentine’s Day weekend and social gatherings or quality time with that special someone may be inspiring and enlivening. Let’s breathe deeply and fully embrace the goodness of being alive.

Mercury conjuncts Venus on the 13th, and Mars sextiles Neptune. Mercury conjuncts Jupiter on the 14th. Everyone might be supportive of one another, looking for the best qualities and negate any flaws. While much of 2020 had the Eeyores and Debbie Downers whining and complaining, the burst of sunlight over this weekend could have most people walking on sunshine, upbeat with an optimism and enthusiasm that is contagious and spreads across the land. We may still have the negativities, but they are likely to get a lot less play than last year.

With our eyes focused on the horizon, we also have the opportunity of blending our determination with our intuition. We can be highly productive and effective and even whistling as we work. The sense of meaning and purpose might instill us with greater creative expression in everything we do.

The 11th through the 14th of February may seem like stepping across the threshold into a paradise with an idyllic setting where everything goes right, nothing goes wrong. Wouldn’t it be lovely to stay in such a realm?

I’m certain it would, but astrology talks about cycles, changing energy configurations, varied patterns. And as sublime as the 11th through the 14th, we move into a most ridiculous time the following week on the 17th when Saturn squares Uranus.

There is a proverb, which I’m sure we have all heard, and a proverb that seems indicative of this mid-February period. The proverb states: “The higher you climb, the harder you fall”.

The eastern teachings of Buddhism suggest non-attachment as a quality developed in the process of en-lightenment. And non-attachment is detachment from the subjective view of looking at things emotionally and from a perspective of duality of good or bad, happy or sad. Rising to a non-attached perspective allows us to free ourselves, liberate ourselves from the whipsaws of emotions.

Life, through its opportunities and its challenges, allows us to experience the mood swings and emotional sways until we rise above them and are less impacted by life’s conditions and no longer judgmental of life experiences.

Until we get there, we are tossed about by life’s ups and downs.

The Saturn square Uranus on the 17th is the first of three adversarial connections between these two planets [the second on June 14th, and the third on December 24th]. The battle between old and new, between restrictions and freedom, between conformity and individuality, is fully engaged. Rage against the machine can have a sense of people’s uniqueness vying against the dehumanization of technology with its algorithms, artificial intelligence and profiling. People versus power may trigger anarchistic characteristics. Already, trust in government, trust in the powers-that-be, is near an all-time low. A feeling that the government no longer serves the people but rather bullies the people into compliance, and a compliance that often seems nonsensical, can fuel outrage and a willingness to go against whatever edicts are being handed down or imposed.

For us, as individuals, old ways bang up against new necessities. Our stability and security may be shaken up, but the dynamic provides us the impetus to make radical changes to the ways and whys of how we are doing life.

Let’s keep in mind that birthing often comes with growing pains.

The 18th has the Sun exiting Aquarius to enter Pisces [5:44 AM EST]. We are coming into the last Sign of the Zodiac cycle, the final phase of the astrological year before we come to the astrological new year at the time of the Vernal Equinox on March 20th.

This can be a highly spiritual time, a time when we pull back the veil of maya, dissolve the illusions of physical reality, and see true reality from our third eye of intuitive perception. We may serve either as savior of our own well-being, enhancing the expression of spirit and our soul, or we could experience ourselves as martyrs, victims to circumstance and merely pawns to powers beyond our control. How we choose to work with the enhanced sensitivity will be our choice, always our choice.

Aquarius and Pisces are the two most universal Signs of the Zodiac wheel. Their influence allows us to see beyond earth plane perspective. The understanding of life beyond our present comprehensions can become stronger as talk of extraterrestrials, time traveling, conscious deathing experiences, heightened psychic awareness and other ‘extraordinary’ phenomena becomes commonplace.

We are crossing a threshold, both in regard to the paradigm shift from linear reality into asequential reality and in our ability to take off our blinders and see a greater depth and richness to life far beyond our present knowledge and understanding. All of which could prove mind-blowing and perhaps a little much for those engrained in the old ways of the world.

This push pull between old and new is further engaged on the 19th when Venus squares Mars. Relationships can be dicey, especially if people are unable to allow other people to process their transformations with likely transitions in behavior and attitude. Not everyone likes changes, especially radical, dramatic change. It upsets the semblance of regularity, but we are living during times that are anything, and everything, other than regular.

The 20th of February has Mercury ending its three-week retrograde cycle and turning direct [7:52 PM EST]. Mercury is in the 2nd decanate of Aquarius, the Gemini decanate, and Mercury rules Gemini. We may have been involved with various plans for our future over the past three weeks, but our in-depth consideration may have been lacking, leaving us virtually without a clue as to how best to proceed. Although we shall continue in the ‘shadow’ of Mercury retrograde until the 13th of March when Mercury returns to the degree of Aquarius at which it had turned retrograde, we can begin to get greater clarity in regard to our goals and enjoy better interactions with our relationships. We do have to keep in mind that whenever Mercury changes direction, whether from direct to retrograde or from retrograde to direct, things get a little squirrely until we find our rhythm and our pace. This is a time to take everything with a grain of salt.

The last week of February alleviates some of the stress we might have experienced the week before. The Saturn Uranus can still bedevil us, but any distress from the push pull of this configuration seems offset by the energies on the 24th – 25th.

The 24th has Mars trine Pluto. Pluto is the higher octave of Mars and consequently their harmonious alignment provides us ‘right’ intensity where we can focus on our priorities, move ahead with persistence and determination, with all the specifics accounted for, and nothing falling between the cracks. We can be highly effective and productive, accomplishing more now than most other periods of time.

One of the moments when we can step away from mundane reality and step into a different dimension can occur on the 25th as the Sun sextiles Uranus and Venus exits Aquarius to enter Pisces [8:11 AM EST]. By being open to receive, we could become aware of interesting opportunities, innovative ways of doing things, and greater autonomy in our lives. After a year when we have been locked in, locked down, and forced to be compliant to the edicts from regulatory agencies, we are willing to more fully engage the different and the innovative. We might also have greater appreciation for the ways of universal unfolding, the inexplicable ways of the new paradigm in which we are entering.

Venus exiting Aquarius lessens the intensity of the Aquarius Stellium. With Venus entering Pisces, a Sign of Exaltation for Venus, where Venus is comfortable, we now have a Stellium in the Mutable Water Sign as Venus joins the Sun and Neptune in Pisces. With two Stelliums in the two most universal Signs of the Zodiac, much of our focus may be on the big picture, life true purpose, and a broader realm that diminishes the mundane and enhances the cosmic.

These are exciting times, notwithstanding the battles for primacy on the earth plane.

The Virgo Full Moon on the 27th [3:17 AM EST] accentuates the concept of spirit in action. Through our inner knowing and a willingness to do things differently, we can implement a best practices approach to develop some of our greatest heartfelt wishes. Let’s keep in mind the asequential reality of these times where things can occur not so much by our forcing things to happen but rather with us acting as co-creators with the universal unfolding. Magical times if we would just believe in magic.

Although we will continue to feel the influence of the Saturn Uranus square, we come into March feeling good about things.
Let the warring factions do their thing, for eventually things will be sorted out. We are more interested in the sanctuary of our own lives — our home, our family, our friends, and our ambitions, ambitions that are not only taking care of our physical needs but also ambitions that reflect our true purpose and our expression of spirit and soul.

We may be feeling the thaw of winter, for March offers us some lovely qualities. The intensity of the past year and earlier this year dies down. A gentler quality to our lives becomes evident. We could finally affirm the truth to ‘life is good’.

The 3rd of March has Venus sextile Uranus and Mars exiting Taurus to enter Gemini [10:30 PM EST]. Serendipitous encounters, whether in physical form or altered state connections, could put a smile on our face. It might seem quizzical how bumping into someone significant to our journey or a sense of contact with someone from our distant past comes about, but such incidents are truly indicative of the paradigm shift and the breakdown of dimensions.

Our world is a great deal larger than what we had assumed. Like early explorers discovering realms unknown and never anticipated, our own discoveries may be mind-blowing and mind-altering as we broaden our perspective and deepen our understanding.

A lightening up in the first week of March can be highlighted by the Venus Uranus sextile and Mars entering Gemini on the 3rd, followed on the 4th by Mercury conjunct Jupiter.

Discussions may reveal insights. Transparency could uncover truths once concealed. It’s as if any secrets hidden come forward in blazing neon lights. There is freedom and liberation in truth, as if a weight has finally been lifted. Judgment might be harsh, but well deserved. We can feel upbeat, inspired, with a sense that universal justice is served. Yes, we could witness affirmations that the universe works.

Drawing upon the impetus of the ‘feel good’ qualities of the first week of March, the second and third weeks of March up to the Vernal Equinox accentuate our spiritual being.

March 10th has the Sun conjunct Neptune. We could be moody, highly emotional, but with a depth of feeling that touches our soul. Our sensitivity is heightened. Compassion may be evident. Perhaps humankind reclaims humanity with care and concern for our fellow beings.

The Pisces New Moon on the 13th [5:21 AM] has the Sun Moon conjunction and also Venus conjunct Neptune. With Neptune the higher octave of Venus, this signature and its impact over the next two weeks fosters our creative energies. We may be feeling soulmate connections with those with whom we come into contact. Our artistic sensibilities are accentuated. This is a time for us to embrace our ideals and a belief that we can truly create a paradise on earth. Even if the hurly-burly in the world-at-large continues, our own personal choices may be to retreat to our safe, happy space, the sanctuary of our life-enhancing qualities. While wrongly attributed to Mahatma Gandhi, the following statement may be in the forefront of our mind during this mid-March period: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

The 15th has Mercury exiting Aquarius to enter Pisces [6:26 PM EST]. The Stellium of three planets in Aquarius ends, but the Stellium in Pisces is enhanced as Mercury enters Pisces to join the Sun, Venus and Neptune all in the Mutable Water Sign. Mercury is in Detriment in Pisces where our thinking becomes more diffuse, more emotionally based than drawing upon critical analysis. We can be more easily swayed by appeals to our heart rather than addressing our brain.

This period is a time when we could go off, figuratively or literally, to escape the humdrum of our mundane routine.

We can get a better grip on our personal world and practical reality as we close out the winter season. The Sun sextiles Pluto on the 16th, and Venus sextiles Pluto on the 18th. Even if we have been floating in the ethereal regions, the Pluto connections will help ground us. We might have our head in the clouds, but our feet are likely to be firmly planted on the ground. We may focus on our priorities, but we could also be driven by a sense of our own personal destiny. Relationships can be far more collaborative and meaningful. No matter how difficult things might appear to be, and even when we don’t have a clue regarding where the twists and turns are taking us, it is essential that we keep in mind that in truth ‘we never get more than we can handle’ with a realization that ‘life is good’.
