January 29th – February 4th, 2024

The astrology for this week of January 29th through the 4th of February of 2024 starts with a high intensity bang of productivity, only to slow down during the week until picking up with idyllic social interactions at the end of the week.

The volatility and roller coaster qualities of these times are truly engaged this week.

We start the week at our optimum regarding what we need to accomplish.  We can be highly effective and expeditious in achieving successful results.  The most constructive day of this week seems to be Monday as we push our energy into high gear, only to glide through much of the rest of the week.  If we can focus our energies on Monday, we could flip into cruise control for much of the rest of this week with direction in hand and destination in mind.

Much of our mid-week period may be spent in communicating, brainstorming, and considering all possibilities, especially if we have effectively engaged cruise control to take care of our usual daily responsibilities.

The end of the week and over the weekend can have us clearing out matters that are no longer relevant to us or to where we plan to go.  Clearing away the dross allows us to concentrate on the truly meaningful.

Let’s keep in mind that the entry of both the Sun and more importantly Pluto has given us a glimpse into what could be.  The end of the week with a combination of intuition and critical reasoning provides an opportunity for us to be realistic in our projections of our future endeavors.

Not feeling rushed or harried would provide us contemplative time to consider where we intend to go as we, both as individuals and as a society, cross over into a new human era.  Is it premature to call it a golden age?

Monday, January 29th – Ain’t Nothin’ Gonna Break My Stride – Lunar Grand Trine, Mars, Uranus, Mercury, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course.  Monday starts this week with an Earth Grand Trine with the Moon in Virgo trine both Mars and Mercury both in Capricorn and the Moon trine Uranus in Taurus.  The Moon opposes Neptune before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over eight and a half hours as the Moon completes its transit of Virgo with no further connections to the planets and before the Moon moves into Libra early on Tuesday morning.  Mars trines Uranus.  Monday can give us a thrust of energy geared for accomplishments, all the while considering the most expeditious means to achieve our goals.  We might be surprised by our determination and effectiveness and the utilization of new techniques or new technologies to get things done.  This Monday is not a day to waste, for this day could have us operating at our optimum with successful outcomes as a result.  The more we can put things into motion today, the more likely we are to operate on cruise control through the rest of the week.  Let’s make our ‘to do’ list for the week today, prioritize our activities, and then it’s full steam ahead.  This day is best summed up by the lyrics of a mid-1980s song by Mathew Wilder:

Ain’t nothin’ gonna break-a my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down
Oh no, I got to keep on moving”

Tuesday, January 30th – Reach for the Stars – Pluto, Venus.  Tuesday has the Moon entering Libra where today the Libra Moon trines Pluto to begin the day, and the Moon squares Venus late in the day.  Today is a day for us to dream our dreams and even consider the possibility of realizing an impossible dream.  It would be wise for us to keep in mind that we are in the midst of a paradigm shift, a time when things can occur in the most inexplicable manner.  We are leaving behind sequential, linear reality and entering a phase of asequential reality where magic and mini miracles may seem almost commonplace.  During these times, it is essential that we not discount any possibility, no matter how seemingly impossible our prospects might be.  Discussions today can be fruitful in the morning hours.  Someone could make us aware of options and alternatives that we have not considered or even been aware of.  This day could prove paradoxical with the wide realm of possibilities in the morning hours but thwarted by a naysayer or parade rainer late in the day.  Let the Debbie Downers and Eeyores wring their hands, but let’s avoid their popping our balloon.   Especially during this time of paradigm shift, we are likely to see repeated evidence of the saying: “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

Wednesday, January 31st – One More Time – Sun, Mars.  Wednesday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today trine the Sun early in the day, followed late in the day by the Moon square Mars.  This Wednesday seems to be a replication of Tuesday.  We might feel upbeat, confident, and enthusiastic in the morning hours, only to have our intentions, optimism and energy depleted as we consider the holes in the specifics of our plans late in the day.  Both Tuesday and Wednesday provide us a heads-up and an important lesson.  Energy is energy.  When we are feeling good about things and have a positive attitude, our involvements can go swimmingly with beneficial results.  But when we are exhausted and take on a negative attitude, we feel like Sisyphus rolling the boulder up the mountain only to have it roll back on us.  Hopefully, we used Monday to line our ducks up in a row for this week’s activities and can be dispassionate and objective in what we need to get done checking off each item on our ‘to do’ list one by one.  Otherwise, Tuesday and Wednesday could prove two volatile days of wide emotional swings between elation and despair.  A lot of people engage in high pitched drama, but why go there when it only depletes us and doesn’t truly resolve anything?

Thursday, February 1st – Grounded – Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto.  Thursday begins with the Libra Moon square Mercury.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eleven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon squares Pluto.  Responsibilities may be beckoning, giving us a sense of overwhelm as we recognize that certain matters once considered finished need tweaking or reworking.  People can be on edge, so we need to be wary of hyper-criticism in our discussions.  Some folks could be looking at the flaws and seeing the half glass of water as half empty rather than half full.  Constructive criticism and assisting to correct any mistakes are one thing.  Venting our frustrations and being highly negative are another thing and offer no assistance or support whatsoever.  Later in the day, we may find ourselves cutting away the dross in our plans.  We can be far more grounded and consider more realistic prospects rather than indulging castles in the air.  A tendency to cut away the extraneous might engage our focus over the next two days.  We do not want to waste our time on fanciful reveries but rather concentrate on meaningful projects and purposeful involvements.

Friday, February 2nd – Baby in the Bath Water – Saturn, Venus, Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury, Neptune.  Friday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today trine Saturn, the Moon sextile Venus, and the Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square as the Scorpio Moon opposes Jupiter in Taurus and the Moon squares the Sun in Aquarius.  Mercury sextiles Neptune.  Friday is a day for us to draw upon both our critical analysis of our reasoning mind and our intuitive sense of our feeling nature.  Taking time to contemplate what we want to do and what we need to do would allow for a best practices approach in our resolving certain matters, eliminating other matters, and getting our house in order.  We do need to avoid extreme action with the liability of straightening up and clearing the decks and in the process ridding ourselves of significant components that may be essential for our future engagements.  No throwing the baby out with the bath water today.  Instead, it would be wise for us to strategize, do an inventory taking of our activities, and see what serves us presently and what might serve us in the future but also determine those situations that are only hangers-on, irrelevant to both our present and our future.  With the Fixed Sign T-Square needing the fourth element to balance it out, it is important that we account for the Leo energy, our own personal power source.  We may want to strip away certain matters today, but not to the point of leaving us naked to the world and vulnerable by a sense of lack rather than being toned down to high effectiveness.  This is a day for us draw upon our creative talents and not be frustrated by delays of things taking longer than we might like.

Saturday, February 3rd – Flip and Switch – Uranus, Mars, Neptune, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course.  Saturday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today opposed Uranus, the Moon trine Neptune, and the Moon sextile both Mars and Mercury both in Capricorn.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius early on Sunday morning.  This Saturday could begin with us thrown off our game.  Whatever we plan for this Saturday, we might have to make alterations and adapt to changing circumstance.  Once we adjust to whatever unexpected situation might arise, we can easily move ahead, and the day can unfold in our taking care of errands and various details before enjoying a pleasant evening with family and friends.  We need to avoid feeling thrown for a loop early in the day and instead shift and change as conditions warrant.  Once we adapt our rhythm and pace, we can attend to any number of situations effectively, quickly, and easily.

Sunday, February 4th – Getting Carried Away – Pluto, Saturn.  Sunday has the Moon entering Sagittarius with the Sagittarius Moon sextile Pluto in the early morning hours, and the Moon square Saturn later in the day.  We might feel impelled to go for the gold today, to spread our wings, and expand our involvements, especially those that speak to our future and reflect where we want to go as opposed to where we are.  Such an attitude is all well and good, but we do need to be wary that we don’t get carried away with what we want.  Discussions with friends and loved ones can stoke the fires of our intended projects.  Nothing may seem impossible, but then responsibilities, obligations, and tasks at hand could impede our exuberance and optimism and our focus on possibilities.  Like a helium balloon wafting on the air currents, we still need to hold our dreams, our hopes and wishes, by a solid cord so that our plans maintain realistic prospects.  We could enjoy contemplating our future, but we need to recognize that we might be heading into la-la-land, the conceptual where everything may seem likely before concept is implemented into manifestation.  This day calls for a balance between our imagined possibilities and a realistic assessment of our intended involvements.  We might also realize that old matters need to be resolved before we can move ahead assertively in new directions.  When we venture forward into new terrain, we do not want to be held back by ties that bind.  Getting carried away by cockeyed optimism or proceeding cautiously with good judgment may prove the paradox of this Sunday.
