June 26th – July 2nd, 2023

The astrology for this week of June 26th through July 2nd of 2023, the first full week of the summer season, can be a combination of the good, the bad and the ugly, with liability of rash, impetuous actions to begin the week and people feeling entitled to do whatever they choose with little consideration of the impact on other people over the weekend.

The week may begin with us fast out of the starting gate and prone to ‘haste makes waste’ or more likely acting without thinking. Before we hit the week hard, it would be suggested we develop our plans and our course of action. Otherwise, we could start the week in a helter-skelter approach, tripping over ourselves and being accident prone. The start of the week demands that we slow down and not move too fast.

After a flurry of activity and a frenzy of energy at the beginning of the week, mid-week can be pleasant and effective so long as we don’t attempt too much.

Despite the opportunity to be highly productive mid-week, the latter part of the week can have us hitting the wall. Not only can we experience unexpected situations that could trip us up. Unanticipated expenses might put a bite on our finances. If we avoid knee-jerk reactions, we may figure out how best to deal with surprising developments.

The weekend can have us either taking off out of town or we may stay around home and celebrate in the US the 4th of July with barbecues, fireworks, and get-togethers. We just need to keep our interactions friendly and upbeat and not allow arrogance or self-focus to upset our relationships. Justifying excess as part of the holiday spirt, we could easily dig ourselves deep holes hard to get out from.

This is a week that can have extreme actions. Let’s keep in mind the importance of modulating the extremes and finding equilibrium and a balance point.

Monday, June 26th – Too Much Too Soon – Sun, Mars, Uranus, Mercury Cancer. This week begins on Monday with the Moon in Libra square the Sun. Mars squares Uranus, and Mercury exits its own Sign of Gemini to enter Cancer [8:24 PM EDT]. As if catapulted out of bed, we could be in fast forward motion today. We might not have a great deal of resolve to get out and about, but once in motion, our energy is likely to ratchet up into overdrive. Let’s hope we have charted our course for the day and will draw upon time management skills. Otherwise, the tendency on this day may be for us to be impetuous and rash in our actions with us consequently all over the place. The liability of accidents cannot be discounted with us knocking over this, then that, in a flurry of activity. This is a day to look, calculate, consider our movements, and take our time before moving ahead. If we are able to harness the energy, and that is a major challenge under these energy configurations, we could accomplish a great deal. The conflict between personal will and unexpected developments demand humility and a willingness to adapt to changing conditions and alter our behavior or our trajectory. Taking a breather now and then to re-evaluate both our progress and any shifts in circumstance could prevent us from creating all sorts of turmoil for ourselves.

Tuesday, June 27th – Egged On – Venus, Mars. Tuesday continues with the Libra Moon with the Libra Moon sextile both Venus and Mars both in Leo. Someone today may encourage us to do our very best and to stretch beyond our usual parameters. We may be more interested in our future plans than our present responsibilities, especially when things seem so far easier to achieve in concept than in practical implementation. Whether we exhausted ourselves yesterday or got a grip on the galloping energies, this Tuesday is a good day to take things down a notch or two, seek out some pleasurable activity, and enjoy the companionship of a good friend. We do need to avoid one upmanship where either we or our friend try to best the other in accomplishments or prospects. Let’s bask in the warmth of the summer and the camaraderie with a special someone. Life has been hard enough over the past few years. Now is a time for a breather, to walk on the sunny side of the street, and to appreciate all the blessings in our life. The constant barrage of negativity and of fictions masquerading as truth is exhausting and necessitates a ‘time out’ when we catch our breath and reinvigorate ourselves. This Tuesday is a good day for us to take a ‘time out’.

Wednesday, June 28th – Concentrating on the Essential – Pluto, Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Sun, Saturn, Jupiter. Wednesday has the Moon finishing its transit of Libra in the early morning hours with the Libra Moon square Pluto. The Moon then goes into Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon triggers a Water Element Grand Trine as the Scorpio Moon trines both Mercury and the Sun both in Cancer, and the Moon trines Saturn in Pisces. The Moon opposes Jupiter to end the day, and the Sun trines Saturn. Hopefully, yesterday gave us a reprieve from the hurly-burly of life at these times. We might have commitments to someone that we need to address, but we can push things off until after the upcoming long holiday weekend in the US. It’s summertime after all, and many of us are likely to put out the ‘gone fishing’ sign at different times during the summer to take advantage of re-creational activities. If we have the opportunity, this Wednesday would be a good day to be at home, tidy up and get rid of things we no longer use. While the universe abhors a vacuum and many of us have the tendency to hold on to our stuff, we do have to avoid getting rid of things only to replace the vacant space with more stuff. Quiet time spent at home in our thoughts and contemplations allows us to concentrate on the essential and focus on the truly important in our lives that we wish to enhance.

Thursday, June 29th – Sublime to Ridiculous – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Uranus. Thursday has the Scorpio Moon triggering a Lunar T-Square with the Scorpio Moon square Venus, and the Moon opposed Uranus. Yesterday may have been relatively peaceful, even downright sublime, if we worked in accord with the energies. Today not so much. While the Scorpio Moon triggered a Water Grand Trine yesterday, today the Scorpio Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square. We could have been operating on greased wheels yesterday, some of which may have been by reason of our taking some alone time, holding our cards close to our chest, and not pushing ourselves to get much done. This Thursday could have us back in hyperactive mode but finding ourselves banging and crashing with expenses greater than we anticipated, and unexpected developments tripping us up. We might feel as though we are merely reacting to situations, unable to take a proactive approach. If we are trying for an early long holiday weekend getaway, various disruptions can impede our departure and / or cause difficulties in our journey. If we are staying home and entertaining over the weekend, we might suffer the costs of price inflation and / or supply shortages. This is a day for us to be patient, flexible and adaptable, and not take anything to heart.

Friday, June 30th – Up, Up and Away – Mars, Neptune, Pluto, Saturn, Mercury, Neptune retrograde. Friday has the Moon finishing its transit of Scorpio with the Moon square Mars, the Moon trine Neptune, and the Moon sextile Pluto. The Moon then exits Scorpio and enters Sagittarius where late in the day the Sagittarius Moon squares Saturn. Mercury trines Saturn, and Neptune turns retrograde [5:07 PM EDT]. If we are still in town before heading out for the long holiday weekend in the US or just staying in town for the weekend, early Friday can have us tying up loose ends, taking care of what we need to get done, and clearing the decks before we engage this summer weekend. We could be meticulous in everything we do early in the day. The energy then shifts dramatically and we’re ready to enjoy the weekend. Late in the day, it might seem as though the wheels are coming off the bus. Confusions and delays may hamper our evening hours. Any aggravations on this Friday evening will be relieved or seen as mere hiccups when we come into Saturday. Let’s keep in mind that during this paradigm shift things can change suddenly and dramatically. Any frustrations Friday evening give way to a boisterous and fun-loving Saturday.

Saturday, July 1st – Silver, Gold, Platinum – Venus, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter. Saturday continues with the Moon in Sagittarius, but the Moon makes no connections to the planets until late in the day when the Sagittarius Moon trines Venus. The Sun conjuncts Mercury and both the Sun and Mercury sextile Jupiter. This can be a highly expansive, fun-loving, regenerative day. We may be going for the gold today. No, our sentiment today in fact might have us going for the gold, silver, and platinum today. We are interested in having it all. Nothing is too much for us on this Saturday. Family connections and social gatherings can be fun events. We are likely to fully appreciate all the good things in our lives. Even if we don’t participate with other people today, we could be enjoying the sanctuary of our home, recognizing that we have created a safe, happy place for ourselves, and a refuge from what often appears as one crazy world spinning out of control. This Saturday is a great day to recharge, reinvigorate and feel good about our life. The evening hours offer the possibility of a fine romance.

Sunday, July 2nd – Bloom off the Rose – Mars, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Uranus. Sunday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today trine Mars, and the Moon square Neptune. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn. The Capricorn Moon makes no connections to the planets today. Venus squares Uranus. We may start this Sunday wanting to continue the upbeat, even indulgent, theme of yesterday. But as with the volatility of these times, things can shift dramatically, and so it does on this Sunday. Relationships can go from close to idyllic Saturday evening to almost hostile on Sunday, and the dramatic shift could occur with little notice except like the straw that broke the camel’s back. Some seemingly innocuous comment can provoke a nasty blowback regarding our relationship. It’s important that we recognize that everyone may be a little too self-absorbed. Perhaps everything was going our way yesterday, and today we want the same to continue. Unfortunately, the bloom comes off the rose, and we might go from fun-loving, easy-living attitude to a more serious, critical tone. Ah, yes, the seesaw of living life during this paradigm shift. Let’s enjoy the good times and try to tamp down the less pleasant times.
