February 6th – 12th, 2023

The astrology for this week of February 6th through the 12th of 2023 holds great promise of drawing upon our higher faculties of intuition and inspiration and can be a highly productive week if we keep our feet on the ground and don’t get lost in the clouds.

The week may be slow starting. We could be in recovery mode after a hectic and exhausting weekend with its Leo Full Moon and the Fixed Sign T-Square with Uranus throwing any number of unexpected variables into the mix.

As we begin this week, we might have to rely on our sense of things rather than our muscle or brawn. It would be far wiser for us to work smarter rather than harder. We just might not have the physical energy to move mountains. And why try to do so when we are likely to have a winch available?

Mid-week may experience a strange encounter of a serendipitous kind. Interesting developments could give us a heads-up that life has taken an interesting turn, a pivot point where what has been particularly challenging can now be easily accomplished. Things might fit neatly together, if we don’t try to force matters and are willing to heed suggestions and insights.

The latter part of the week and over the weekend speak to social occasions. In the US, it’s Super Bowl weekend, the final blowout of the football season, and a time when people get together to party and huddle over a big screen tv. Preparations for fun engagements can occupy our time with an eerie feeling that its ‘all fun and games until it isn’t’. We close out the week on the weekend with the intensity once again ratcheting up.

Steam vents are productive ways of releasing pent-up energy but may not totally dissipate built up frustrations or diminish disempowering realities.

Any indications of the magic and mini-miracles of the paradigm shift give evidence of a pivot point with things moving in a far more constructive pattern, no matter the apparent evidence to the contrary.

Monday, February 6th – Hurdles Met, Successfully Dealt with – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Neptune. Monday has the Moon completing its transit of Leo with the Leo Moon opposed Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo later in the day. Mercury sextiles Neptune. If we try and force issues today, we could experience a powerful pushback or, at the least, delays and frustrations that stop us in our tracks. This is a day for us to contemplate our best practices approach with contingency plans in mind before we head out the door. Any attempt to force our will upon our conditions and circumstance might boomerang and hit us in the backside. This day calls for us to think before acting, consider other people’s perspective, and not try and force our will on situations without considering the consequence of our actions. This Monday asks us to think smarter rather than work harder. We can develop the ways to achieve successful results, but we do need a little humility and avoid trying to forcefully push our way through. As the Taoist saying reminds us: “bend like a reed or break like an oak.”

Tuesday, February 7th – Measure Twice, Cut Once – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Venus, Uranus. The Virgo Moon on this Tuesday doesn’t connect with the planets until later in the day when the Virgo Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Virgo Moon square Mars in Gemini and the Moon opposed Venus. The Moon trines Uranus. This is a day for us to pay attention to details. If we take our time early in the day and focus on what needs to get done, we could find the latter part of the day less frantic than if we procrastinated, wasted time and got diverted from our responsibilities by senseless distractions early in the day. The liabilities late on this Tuesday are various push pulls. We might try to play catch up with various things we left unattended earlier in the day with evidence of ‘haste makes waste’, or we could be summoned to assist someone with their problems. By attempting too much, we could become frazzled and ineffective. Despite any crazy antics or running around, we end the day with light bulbs going off in our head and realizations as to how we can be far more effective and streamlined in our operations. During this paradigm shift, we can experience moments of incredible lucidity where things fit neatly together, and our pathway is surprisingly eased. Late Tuesday may offer us such indications.

Wednesday, February 8th – Blessed Encounters – Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Uranus. Wednesday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today opposed Neptune and the Moon trine Mercury. Venus sextiles Uranus. By contemplating on what needs to be done and how best to do it, we can dispel any muddled thinking or confused actions. One of the components of this paradigm shift is the reality of the saying that ‘when the student is ready, the teacher appears’. Many of us grew up with movies, television shows, novels that had a storyline of problems so perplexing and even dangerous that a major character in the plot is beside themselves unable to extract themselves or resolve dire situations. And then, virtually out of nowhere, comes a rescuer, a hero, a savior to right the problem and save the day. This Wednesday might offer us a similar situation where someone provides us the suggestions, insight and assistance to rectify any challenging matters we have been unable to sort out. A serendipitous encounter can be a blessing and help us see more clearly and accomplish more by a best practices approach. It would be wise for us to note the various mini-miracles occurring in our lives, even if such unanticipated surprises are minor and even considered coincidental. Believe it or not, these are magical times.

Thursday, February 9th – Double Edged Sword of Being Effective – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. The early morning hours of this Thursday has the Virgo Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra to start our waking day. Late in the day, the Libra Moon opposes Jupiter. Much of this week has offered us the ability of getting things done, accomplishing more by combining our intuitive insight and surprising developments with a rational and practical approach to address our various matters. This week has truly been a time when we can have our head in the clouds and our feet firmly planted on the ground. Some of the surprising incidents could also reflect the truth to the saying of ‘being in the right place at the right time’. Thursday continues in the same vein, but with a slight difference. Seeing how we appear to have some magic touch and are incredibly functional in what seems to be an increasingly dysfunctional world, someone or other people may ask us to help them out and deal with their issues. Perhaps part of our drive this week was to clean up and clear the decks prior to the weekend so that we could freely enjoy the social celebrations unencumbered by looming responsibilities or outstanding matters. And yet, in truth, it always seems that whenever we are almost finished with the items in our inbox, the inbox starts to fill up again. That could be our experience on this Thursday. We could be concluding any number of situations, only to find added tasks for us to deal with. While we may be willing to help out with other people’s problems, let’s keep in mind the karmic law that ‘you can help someone lift their burden, but you cannot carry it for them’.

Friday, February 10th – Party All the Time – Lunar Grand Trine, Mars, Sun, Mercury, Pluto. Friday has the Libra Moon triggering an Air Grand Trine with the Libra Moon trine Mars in Gemini early in the day, and the Libra Moon trine the Sun in Aquarius to end the day. Mercury conjuncts Pluto. Whether we have plans for this Super Bowl Weekend in the US or just want to have a free weekend without obligations hanging over us, we can be in high gear of tying up loose ends, bringing things to completion, and all without allowing anything to fall between the cracks. We are likely to be energized, looking forward to spending time with that special someone or with friends over the weekend. Many of us may be planning group get-togethers to huddle over the television screen or just to socialize with the football game as just a pretense. This weekend, which we may kick off early on this Friday, could be a pleasant time with family and friends and a nice antidote to the anger and edge on, which many people have expressed in their relationships. With Mars going through Gemini and in the second decanate [Libra] of Gemini, people have had a very short fuse with a liability of seething about inflation, costs of living, war-like jitters, and downright frustration with a tendency to see nothing right in the world. The liability of rush to judgment cannot be discounted with people basing their opinion on scant or inaccurate information. Let’s keep in mind that our perspective is our choice. We can see the half glass of water as half full or half empty. This weekend provides us the opportunity to step away from apparent reality and look on the bright side of life.

Saturday, February 11th – Put Away the Tools – Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Mercury Aquarius. Saturday begins with the Moon completing its transit of Libra and with the Libra Moon trine Saturn, and the Moon square Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where the Scorpio Moon today squares Mercury with Mercury having just exited Capricorn this morning to enter Aquarius [6:22 AM EST]. We may be primed for weekend fun and games and are liable to put any demands or responsibilities on the back burner. If we are relying on anyone to live up to our expectations, we could be sorely disappointed. We have been conditioned into a competitive mindset from day one with a win – lose behavior pattern rather than a collaborative win – win tendency. With Super Bowl weekend upon us, our competitive spirit might be engaged. One incident that raised the ire of New York football fans was the colors of the Philadelphia Eagles radiating from the Empire State building. And so it may be later on this Saturday and into Sunday where we are picking either the Eagles or the Chiefs and adamant in our opinion and our fanship. Mercury entering Aquarius triggers a Stellium in the Fixed Air Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Saturn in Aquarius. We may be more interested in social interactions, but with the caveat that we would prefer to enjoy the company of ‘yes’ people rather than those with whom we disagree. Let’s keep things pleasant. We may put away the tools of our tasks, but it would be wise for us to also put away the verbal scythes by which we could slice up people who have a differing perspective to our own.

Sunday, February 12th – All in the Game – Uranus. Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday in the US — yippee [sarcasm intended]. The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio with the Moon opposed Uranus late in the day forty-five minutes before the Super Bowl kickoff. The intensity, the passion, and the fervor are all likely ratcheted up for many, if not for all. There is even a proposal in Tennessee to get rid of Columbus Day as an official holiday and replace it with Super Bowl Monday. It’s interesting to contemplate how significant explorations and adventures have given way to focus on fun and games. There can be get-togethers today, but we do have to be careful as if walking on eggshells not to be too belligerent in our actions or discussions. Things could easily get out of hand on this Sunday. Also fascinating about the Uranus influence just before kickoff. Could unexpected occurrences change the odds? Upset the playbook? Whether we engage with the Super Bowl festivities or step away from the football hubbub, an unanticipated variable may alter our plans or increase our costs. Despite the frenzy, it would be suggested we maintain a dispassionate attitude and not get caught up in the intense emotions of this day. Today heightens the old disposition of win – lose, and increasingly we may recognize the greater importance of the collaborate and creating win – win situations.
