The astrology for this week of March 6th through the 12th of 2023 can be one high intensity week with the Virgo Full Moon and with Saturn entering Pisces but leads to a magical weekend of regrouping, recharging and reinvigorating.
The week begins with us looking at alternate means to accomplish our goals. We might decide on adding some additional items to our environment or purchase equipment to streamline our operations.
The Full Moon on Tuesday offers us the opportunity to blend our visionary sense with practical application. It comes as Saturn ends its two and a half years cycle of Aquarius, and Saturn enters Pisces for the next two and a half years.
A major shift in energy occurs during this week, a more significant shift occurring in two weeks when Pluto exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius.

During the first half of this week, we may be attending to various matters, dealing with pressing demands and tying up loose ends. The second half of this week could have us more collaborative, drawing upon someone’s assistance to help us accomplish our involvements.
The weekend may be close to idyllic, whether we go it alone or participate with other people. Contemplations, meditations and reflections would serve us well over the weekend to connect with the natural world, the many beauties in the objective world of true reality rather than being ensnared by the post-modern subjective fantasies of mental meanderings through illusions and delusions. The beauty in living is making sure that we get out of our own way and listen receptively to what is really unfolding.
Monday, March 6th – Exciting Developments while Keeping a Grip – Mercury, Sun, Uranus. Monday begins this week with the Moon in Virgo and with the Virgo Moon opposed Mercury. The Sun sextiles Uranus. The Moon in Virgo is transiting a Sign ruled by Mercury, and Mercury is in Pisces, a Sign of Detriment for Mercury where our thinking is liable to be diffuse and emotionally based with the heart ruling the head. We can be incredibly astute today, if we avoid letting our imagination run rampant with us escaping into fantasies and unrealistic possibilities. Our interest may be doing something different or doing routine matters differently. If we do not get caught up in the frenzy of the moment and take our time to consider a wide range of options and alternative means, we can be highly effective and productive today. We are not interested in ‘same old, same old’ but would prefer to shake things up, try a varied trajectory, and instill a spark of adventure into our everyday life. This Monday can be an exciting day, especially if we are willing to take off the blinders, be receptive to unexpected developments, and find a balance between what needs to get done and interesting new involvements. A great day to start the week if we keep a grip on our emotions and not get carried away by initial desires failing the necessary follow through.
Tuesday, March 7th – New Days Dawning – Uranus, Virgo Full Moon, Sun, Lunar T-Square, Mars, Neptune, Saturn Pisces. Tuesday is one high energy day, replete with the need to ‘think outside the box’. The Virgo Moon today trines Uranus, the Moon opposes the Sun at the Virgo Full Moon [7:40 AM EST], and the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Sun Moon opposition and the Moon later square Mars, and the Moon opposed Neptune. Saturn concludes its transit of Aquarius and enters Pisces [8:35 AM EST]. Saturn’s entry into Pisces also ends its two plus years Fixed Sign square to Uranus. This Tuesday could prove one action-packed day. We may find ourselves running around, exhausting ourselves, and feeling as though we are but a pawn in some crazy game of chess played on us by the universe or the conditions and circumstances around us without us knowing the rules. Confusion and a sense of having to react to situations rather than being proactive might seem like the state of our affairs. It is essential that we neither get caught up in the frenzy nor adopt a frantic attitude. If we take a deep breath, be open to the unexpected, then our way may be made clear. The Saturn Sign change is truly important to take into account, and is the first of two significant Sign changes this month, the other one being Pluto exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius in two weeks.
Saturn will be in Pisces through May of 2025 and again from the end of August 2025 until mid-February 2026. Some of the areas likely to be major issues while Saturn transits Pisces include:
• Drugs both prescribed and recreational with concerns about big pharma and a drugged up society
• Religion and religious institutions with issues revolving around sexual, financial, political abuses
• Weather patterns with stalled atmospheric storms with extremes of intense precipitation in some areas, severe drought in other areas
• Mental depression as a lot of people have a dystopian future drummed into them with consequent increased suicide rates
• Acceleration of people leaving the planet
• Spiritual practice as people seek alleviation from the daily pressures of earth life and seek a reconnection with higher powers
• Change in work patterns with many people opting out of the labor market to rely upon basic universal income, others telecommuting
• Restraints on hedonistic expressions with stricter morality reconsidered
• Karmic reaping with a sense of past lives and obligations to be resolved as the paradigm shift moves us from the 4th Dimension of space-time into the continuum of the 5th Dimension where past, present, future are all NOW
With Saturn entering Pisces, the Pisces Stellium is reinforced with Saturn joining the Sun, Mercury and Neptune in the Neptune-ruled Mutable Water Sign. Our sensitivity is ratcheted up. Each of us will have the choice, as we always do, to either lift our eyes to the far horizons of what could be heaven on earth or stare down at what is presented to us as a most challenging time with a negative mindset that stirs anxiety, concern and depression. Our choice, always our choice. With Pisces being the last Sign of the Zodiac, we are completing certain endings with a sense of impending new beginnings, and in this process, we might find that a lot of people are sighing as if Waiting for Godot.
Wednesday, March 8th – Head Down, Plowing Ahead – Pluto. Wednesday completes the Moon’s transit of Virgo with the Virgo Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then slips into Libra early in the day where today the Libra Moon makes no connections to the planets. This is a day when we can effectively take care of business, whatever we need to get done. We are likely to have the persistence and determination to get things done and without allowing anything to fall between the cracks. We could have the concentration to see what we wish to achieve today, be cognizant of the significant and even miniscule details, and successfully complete our projects with an appealing presentation. It would be wise for us to be certain that we address our personal needs today, since later today and the next two days may have a greater influence of the wants and concerns of other people. By prioritizing and focusing on our personal interests today, we can figuratively move mountains. Not a day to lose to lazing about. The more we can be on high octane, the more energy we shall have to pursue and accomplish our goals.
Thursday, Marth 9th – Me, Thee, Neither We – Jupiter. Thursday has the Libra Moon with the Moon opposed Jupiter today, the Moon opposed Venus tomorrow. These two days have the push – pull between self and other. We might be easily sidetracked by the interests of someone to the detriment of our personal concerns. If we could find a balance between what someone wants from us and what we may need from someone, something akin to a Mutual Assistance Society, we can evidence the truth to the saying that ‘two heads are better than one’. We have our own ideas about things, but someone else brings a different perspective, and possibly a more detached viewpoint, to see what we might not see and offer suggestions of which we may not be aware. We do have to be wary that we don’t fall into an arrogant, narcissistic attitude where we want what we want the way that we want it. If we become oblivious to some other person’s issues, then we are losing the opportunity of collaborative efforts and may head down a dark alleyway that has no way out, only the liability of banging our head against the wall. It can be lonely, short-sighted and oblivious when we go it solely alone.
Friday, March 10th – Keeping it Mellow – Mars, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Pluto, Saturn. Friday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today trine Mars and the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Venus in Aries early in the day, and the Moon square Pluto in Capricorn later in the day. The Moon then moves into Scorpio where in the evening the Moon trines Saturn. Yesterday and today raise the question as to whether we focus on ourselves and do our own thing, or we engage with other people and seek collaborative efforts. We may have a lot on our plate with the intention of getting a great deal done before we come into the weekend, a weekend when we may wish to have a blank slate on which to draw upon whatever, whomever and wherever we might choose to engage and do so spontaneously. Before we come into the weekend, it would be suggested we make our plans for the next two days and make our plans in pencil with a large eraser in the appreciation that things can change suddenly and dramatically. Tomorrow and Sunday can be an interesting mixture of exciting involvements on Saturday, followed by a reflective and internalized Sunday.
Saturday, March 11th – Better Than Could Be Imagined – Venus, Mars, Mercury, Uranus. Saturday has the Moon continuing its transit of Scorpio, but the Moon today makes no connections to the planets. The fun part of this day are two energy configurations. Venus sextiles Mars, and Mercury sextiles Uranus. This is a day when we might feel as though we have stepped onto a magical, mystery tour. Today is a day set for excitement and adventure and, if we wish it to be so, a day when we can spread our wings and literally or figuratively soar with the eagles easily on the air currents. In other words, this Saturday can be better than we could possibly imagine. Our relationships may be fun interchanges of possibilities and travel out of Dodge. We could experience surprising developments and insightful revelations. This is a day for us to be receptive to the possibilities, to be open to alterations to our plans, and allow ourselves the freedom to explore, investigate and sample any involvements that catch our fancy. We might find ourselves exclaiming ‘what a wonderful world!’ and may bear witness to a vast array of mini-miracles when being in the right place at the right time.
Sunday, March 12th – Hallowed Being – Uranus, Mercury, Sun, Neptune. Sunday has the Moon in Scorpio with the Moon opposed Uranus to begin the day in the early morning hours, and the Moon trine the three-transiting planets in Pisces of Mercury, Sun and Neptune throughout this Sunday. Saturday’s events might continue into the early morning hours of Sunday. And what a psychedelic adventure we could have experienced yesterday [sans drugs, more of a natural high]. If ever there was a day when exciting, unexpected events might have occurred, it could have been Saturday. Certainly, the energies were there for a robust, reinvigorating day of exciting adventures with unexpected twists and turns. Whenever we have a day when life takes hold, extricates us from our daily routine and pushes us into unknown but enlivening adventures, we often follow it up in reflection and contemplation both of what may just have occurred and the bigger picture in the context of our life in general. And so it may be on this Sunday. After a whirlwind of activity yesterday, Sunday could have us in a more meditative state, turning inwards, and reflecting on what is truly important in our life and what may have been fascinating diversions, but truly distractions, that we might consider ridding ourselves of. Getting out into nature, walking the earth, and observing the majesty of the natural world may help us get back on track regarding what is truly important and essential in our life and what is merely static to be eliminated from our life.
