April 28th – May 4th, 2025

The Astrology for this week of April 28th through May 4th of 2025 can have us bopping about with springtime fervor and excitement of trying this, that, and something else.

Although we might engage any number off things this week, we are unlikely to do so in any depth.  Superficiality and merely scratching the surface are more likely.

With this past weekend’s New Moon influencing the next two weeks with a Fixed Sign T-Square, we need to keep in mind that things could take longer than we like, and we may feel like we’re in some sort of tug-of-war to accomplish anything.  The Signs of Taurus, Leo and Aquarius are engaged and necessitate the fourth Sign of the Quadruplicity, Scorpio.  As if life isn’t intense enough!

Cutting back and honing the truly purposeful in our lives would help us rid some of the extraneous matter that sometimes clog up our lives.

While we can address serious matters effectively and in innovative ways, the energy shifts and we become far more interested in being here, there, and everywhere except where we are supposed to be.

Mid-week, Venus re-enters Aries, a Sign of Detriment for Aries, and triggers a Stellium of three planets as Venus joins Mercury and Neptune in the Cardinal Fire Sign.  Relationships might suffer if we make it all about ‘ME’.

The latter part of the week can seem somewhat idyllic, but the question is whether are have found ourselves in some fabulous fantasy or in a treacherous illusion.

The weekend is a good time for re-creational pursuits.  Just let’s not push the envelope, participate in extreme sports, or try to prove ourselves.  The weekend closes out with Pluto turning retrograde and like any planetary shift in motion, things can squirrely.  With Pluto, the turn can trigger implosions, explosions, and people acting out.  We end the week with the caveat of “let’s be careful out there.”

Monday, April 28th – Firing on All Cylinders – Uranus, Saturn.   Monday has the Taurus Moon making contact late in the day with the Moon conjunct Uranus, and the Moon sextile Saturn.  Much of this day might be spent in dealing with our mundane responsibilities.  The more we accomplish early in the day, the more we shall get out of the way thereby providing an opportunity to engage new interests late in the day and especially over the next two days.  The evening calls for spontaneity and a willingness to consider alternate trajectories in a strategic and well-conceived manner.  Various matters could fall neatly into place.  We might need to rid ourselves of outstanding matters and past issues, but we are primed for taking a different approach or a different pathway as we move forward.  This Monday could prove the most productive day of this week with the ability to be effective and successful in addressing our routine obligations.

Tuesday, April 29th – Up and Away – Venus, Neptune, Pluto, Mars.  Tuesday begins the day with the Taurus Moon sextile Venus.  The Moon then moves into Gemini where today the Gemini Moon sextiles Neptune in Aries, the Moon trines Pluto in Aquarius, and the Moon sextiles Mars in Leo.  Yesterday could have had us focused and attending to necessary matters.  If we felt that we had been highly effective and accomplished, then this Tuesday can have us spreading our wings and doing whatever catches our fancy. Discussions with good friends may be highlighted with a sense of camaraderie and good cheer.  This Tuesday is one of those upbeat days when we’re loving life and appreciating the blessings in our life.  Everything seems possible, and we may consider our plans and goals with a ‘can do’ attitude of determination.  What we need to realize is that successful results are often easier in concept than implementation.  Let’s give thought to various possibilities, filter out those that are needless distractions, and concentate on the truly meaningful, all with the recognition that plans made need a well-conceived plan of action and elbow grease to accomplish successful results.  It would also be wise to keep in mind the saying, especially wise and true during this paradigm shift: “If you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans.”  Flexibility and adaptability are key characteristics to adjust to changing conditions and circumstance.

Wednesday, April 30th – All About Me – Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus Aries.  Wednesday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today sextile Mercury, the Moon conjunct Jupiter, and the Moon square Saturn to end the day.  Venus exits Pisces and enters Aries [1:16 PM EDT], a Sign of Detriment for Venus, where relationships become focused more on oneself than considerate of other people.  Venus entering Aries triggers a Stelium of three planets in the Cardinal Fire Sign as Venus joins Mercury and Neptune in Aries.  Feeling energized and optimistic, we could assume that everything will be going our way.  People may seem dramatic, romantic, and passionate about their endeavors and their long-term plans.  No rainmakers for us today.  Not when we are seeing the skies as bright and sunny and our prospects just the same.  What a wonderful world when we have blinders and rose-colored glasses on and are primarily interested in our personal realm and the world set up to do our bidding.  Unfortunately, the Jupiter Saturn square that has dogged us over recent months is triggered today with extreme optimism early in the day and utter despondency late in the day.  Our experience may not be that extreme, but we are liable to feel a whipsaw between exuberance and discouragement.  Let’s avoid flying so high that we can only crash to the ground as a result.  Today is a day for us to temper our emotions, thoughts, and physical energy.  Overreach is liable to have dire consequences.  Although we might try to make this day all about oneself, it would be wise not to assume being an island unto oneself.

Thursday, May 1st – Ties that Bind – Venus, Neptune, Sun.  Thursday has the Moon exiting Gemini to enter Cancer in the early morning hours.  The Cancer Moon starts the day with squares to both Venus and Neptune both in Aries.  Late in the day, the Moon sextiles the Sun.  Family matters and normal responsibilities might apply the brakes to our spontaneity and our desire to do whatever we choose to do.  We could have a sense that our freedom is being constrained, our ability to do whatever we choose restricted by our many ties.  No need to whine and groan about what needs to get done.  Let’s just take care of our obligations first today, clean things up around our home base, sort out any family issues, and realize that there are times when we need to put our desires on the back burner for us to engage at a later time.  Today is one of those days.  Late in the day, we might better appreciate that our earlier efforts allowed us to clear the slate and provided space for new endeavors and for fun times over the weekend.  Any sense of frustrations earlier in the day can give way to a sense of accomplishment late in the day.

Friday, May 2nd – Enamored – Mercury, Venus, Neptune.  Friday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today square Mercury.  Venus conjuncts Neptune.  It would be suggested that we not get carried away with ourselves.  There may be a tendency for us to jump at first impressions with many of those seeming rosy, almost idyllic, and too good to be true.  The liability of heightened narcissism cannot be discounted.  People may be in love with love and seeing their Prince / Princess Charming in the people they encounter.  Lovely idea, and I’m certain we wish that it be true.  Love is in the air with the hope of romance tantalizing.  Spring brings out the promise of rebirth and new beginnings.  We might meet people who fascinate us, inspire us, and energize us.  But we must question whether initial contacts reveal the true depth of character.  This day could tease us with the challenge of deciphering whether appearance is matched by content.  Let’s avoid snap judgments and take our time to assess any situation.  There is the liability that today we may see what we want to see, hear what we want to hear, and believe what we want to believe.  This is a day when we could easily be enamored and consequently fooled by our hopes and desires.  Let’s enjoy today’s possibilities without giving firm commitment.  This Friday might have us acting in accord with the lyrics of the classic song That Old Black Magic:

‘Round and ’round I go
In a spin, lovin the spin that I’m in
Under that old black magic called love

Saturday, May 3rd – Let Loose – Uranus, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Venus, Pluto, Mars.  Saturday has the Moon finishing its transit of Cancer in the early morning hours with the Cancer Moon sextile Uranus, and the Moon trine Saturn.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo.  The Leo Moon today trines both Neptune and Venus both in Aries, the Moon opposes Pluto, and the Moon conjuncts Mars late in the day.  Whether we got snookered by infatuation yesterday or enjoyed a light-hearted fantasy, this Saturday has us taking a more sober approach to our involvements.  Whatever we might have experienced yesterday, we can make alterations and significant changes to our disposition and even our home environment today.  But today is more about good times and enjoying ourselves.  If we felt frustrated by having to put our hopes and wishes aside on Thursday, this Saturday is a day for us to give our desires full rein.  Let’s enjoy ourselves in pleasurable pursuits, those engagements that recharge and refresh us, but maintaining moderation would be suggested.  If we go whole hog on having good times, we might suffer late in the day.  Someone could pop our balloon of good times, good feelings, or we may realize that our fun involvements come with serious costs.  We can release our pent-up energies, enjoy the thrust of springtime, but let’s avoid going to extremes where we wind up hurting ourselves.

Sunday, May 4th – Under My Skin – Sun, Mercury, Pluto retrograde.  Sunday continues with the Moon’s transit of Leo, with the Leo Moon today square the Sun early in the day, and the Moon trine Mercury late in the day.  Pluto turns retrograde [11:27 AM EDT].  Yesterday may have been one of those primo days when we fully enjoyed ourselves in whatever venues we chose.  We might awaken on this Sunday wondering at what cost did we engage our fun events.  Did we spend too much?  Have too much fun to fully exhaust ourselves?  Or act like a spirited horse unbridled?  The delight, perhaps even delirium, of Saturday may shift dramatically on this Sunday.  A sense of buyer’s remorse could set in with us feeling that we overstepped sound judgment on Saturday.  Late in the day, we can take a philosophical approach recognizing that these times of paradigm shift instill extremes of behavior with wild, metronome-like swings.  We can find the balance, the equilibrium point, but we may have to go through gyrations to get to that sense of stability in an unstable world.  The more significant energy today is the Pluto turn in direction.  Whenever a planet changes direction, whether from direct to retrograde motion or from retrograde to direct motion, things can get squirrely, challenging to maintain balance.  When Pluto shifts direction often there is a release of intense energy like a volcano erupting where explosions, implosions are likely to occur.  People may be acting out, violence increased, atmospheric storm systems and geophysical activity of volcanoes and earthquakes triggered.  This day demands severe caution and a commitment to heeding the advice to be careful out there.  Let’s avoid confrontations and those people liable to be belligerent and take our time getting from place to place.  This Pluto shift today is occurring under the backdrop of last Sunday’s New Moon with its Fixed Sign T-Square energizing the Mars Pluto opposition by the Taurus New Moon.  Let’s keep our frustrations or disappointments from getting out of hand with the liable consequence of extreme action.
