The astrology for this week of May 26th through June 1st of 2025 begins in the US with Memorial Day and the long holiday weekend which is the ‘unofficial’ start to summer and has the Gemini New Moon that could have us scampering around searching for good times with good friends.
No matter the weather, we are moving into summer mode and looking to engage the classic ‘summertime and the livin’ is easy.’
The week begins with the Gemini New Moon influence over the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 11th of June. With the powerpacks of Stelliums with three planets in both Aries and Gemini at play, our interests may be more on exploring new endeavors with a tendency to briefly investigate rather than fully participate.
There might be a certain la-di-da attitude to our week with the sentiment that ‘variety is the spice of life.’ We are likely to want what we want without vetting any situation but rather sampling this, trying that. Significant commitment to any one thing may be anathema to many.
Mid-week could bring us back to a focus on daily responsibilities and home and family matters. We might feel hampered by routine and burdened by our obligations, as if free wheeling desires are being restrained and constricted. Mid-week can have us getting our feet back on the ground and our head out of the clouds but only briefly, for as we come into the weekend it’s back to party all the time, enjoying ourselves in recreational activities or entertaining events.
All in all, this week may feel like a free-for-all, a time when we enjoy momentary, spontaneous pleasures without considering the impacts of our actions or any limitations to our behavior. Every now and then we might need a period to blow off steam and just have a good time, and this week could be that respite from our more anxiety-provoking usual involvements.
Monday, May 26th – Hurry Up, Summer – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Pluto, Gemini New Moon, Sun. Monday begins the week with the Taurus Moon conjunct Uranus early in the day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon moves into Gemini. The Gemini Moon today conjuncts Mercury, the Moon sextiles both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries, the Moon trines Pluto, and the Moon conjuncts the Sun [11:02 PM EDT] at the time of the New Moon. Mercury sextiles Neptune. Today is Memorial Day in the US, completing the long holiday weekend that is considered the ‘unofficial’ start to summer. As if the starting gun has been fired, we could find ourselves fast out of the gate on this Monday. Hopefully we have considered our options, made a list of alternative activities we might wish to pursue, for once we are up and ready to go, spontaneity can set in and without some general concept of possible engagements we could find ourselves just running around, perhaps even in circles. The three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all favorably triggered today, so let’s realize that ‘same old, same old’ just isn’t going to cut it for us today. It’s important for us to be open to all the awe and wonder the universe offers us. We may want to put on our explorer hat and juggle this, engage that, all with the push to try things out rather than making any firm commitments. It might feel like we’re skimming along and barely scratching the surface, and such a disposition could be how we like it, not only for this Memorial Day but over the next two weeks under the influence of the evening’s New Moon.
Tuesday, May 27th – Future as Now – Mars, Venus, Mercury, Pluto. Tuesday continues with the Moon in Gemini with the Moon late in the day sextile Mars in Leo and the Moon sextile Venus in Aries. Mercury trines Pluto. We might be quite astute today with a forensic-like ability to focus on what we wish to pursue in our future. We can consider our prospects and whittle down to the most meaningful projects. Discussions can reap positive dividends in insightful suggestions as to the most effective and expeditious ways to accomplish our intended goals. Perhaps we enjoyed a reenergizing weekend and feel as though we’re back up and ready to conquer the world. Our upbeat attitude continues into tomorrow. With a sense of the wind to our back, we could be highly accomplished today. We just need to concentrate on those involvements that serve us a purpose both on the short-term and on the long-term. With brain and brawn engaged, we can figuratively move mountains today. Not a day to be lost on mindless distractions or silly diversions. This Tuesday is a day for us to plan our moves forward in a strategic manner and with unflinching confidence in our ability to pull off our greatest aspirations. The evening hours would be a good time to enjoy the company of a special someone. We may seem to shine a resplendent aura, appealing and collaborative, a pleasant treat for any of us tired of dealing with the self-important and narcissistic.
Wednesday, May 28th – Euphoria Dismayed – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Neptune. Wednesday begins with the Gemini Moon completing its transit of Gemini with the Moon conjunct Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer where today the Cancer Moon squares both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries. We may start this day on a high note, a crescendo of the past two days of feeling good about things and having an optimistic, confident attitude. Suddenly, the energy shifts as the day unfolds, and we might feel as though the wind has been knocked out of our sails. Mundane responsibilities can get in our way and dampen our ability to forge ahead in our choice of direction. Instead of our consideration of future possibilities, we seem to be brought back into our present with its tasks and obligations demanding our attention. Home and family matters usurp our interest in future endeavors. We might feel put upon by our commitments, but there would be no good in grousing or whining about what we need to do. Life is like a roller coaster, at times exciting and thrilling, other times slow and trudging through it, all the while that we are going through a paradigm shift into asequential reality where we often don’t know what is going on or what the course of actions might be. The turbulence of these times can have us going through wild emotional swings from elation to dismay. We could tighten the swings if we keep in mind the saying: “Life’s too mysterious, don’t take it serious.”
Thursday, May 29th – Time to Reflect. Thursday has the Moon continuing its transit of Cancer but with the Moon making no connections to the planets today. In our fast-paced lives, we tend to keep busy, on the go, with any number of issues to address. And this two-week period under the auspices of the Gemini New Moon is no exception with us likely going from one thing to another to yet another. Often, we cram our lives with any number of involvements, some of which may be only diversions and distractions that keep us from focusing attention on the truly important matters in our life. With the energy toned down today, we could use the day to tend to various situations around our home or deal with family issues. With a brief quietude today, we can think, reflect, and contemplate. During the covid scare and ‘pandemic’, a time when we were locked down and devoid of many of our usual distractions and diversions, many people worked on themselves, developed their inner selves, and became highly creative with enhanced awareness and a greater expression of their spirit and their soul. Today allows us quiet time if we choose to take it. Instead of running around incessantly, we could take this day as a ‘mental health’ day, step off the track, and give thought to who we are and to all the blessings in our life. The lack of energy today might also provide us the opportunity to rest up in preparation for what sems likely to be a highly active weekend.
Friday, May 30th – Ready to Let Loose – Venus, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, Sun, Mercury. Friday has the Moon finishing its transit of Cancer with the Cancer Moon square Venus early in the day and the Moon sextile Uranus midday. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes is transit of Cancer and before the Moon moves into Leo where late in the day the Moon trines both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries and the Moon opposes Pluto to end the day. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. After a relatively quiet day yesterday, this Friday can have us up and running, all in preparation to have good times and enjoy ourselves over the weekend. We may feel as though our obligations are putting a crimp in our intentions early in the day, but we could use streamlined means to deal with whatever we need to get done. The three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are engaged today, so it would be wise for us to step out of our own way, heed the signs along the way, and engage different techniques, maybe even different trajectories, for us to move ahead. The latter part of the day has us passionate for good times with a good friend[s]. There can be a romantic evening. We just need to be certain that we are considerate of other people’s interests and neither grandstand nor bully to get our way. The second half of this day has us letting loose and living for the weekend.
Saturday, May 31st – Someone to Care For – Sun, Mercury. Saturday has the Leo Moon sextile both the Sun and Mercury both in Gemini. Our interest today may be concentrated on that special person or those significant people in our life. Let’s celebrate love and friendship and appreciate that our life is made so much better by the people who light up our life. Getting out of Dodge and into unfamiliar terrain is like a psychic cleansing, releasing a lot of the figurative cobwebs of our routine conditions. If we have been feeling stressed, and who hasn’t during these volatile, turbulent times with wild emotional swings, then today is a good day for us to exit our familiar surroundings, go somewhere that provides a fresh and enlivening atmosphere, take a deep breath, and embrace a different perspective on what has been going on for us. Wednesday may have been a ‘mental health’ day when we might have taken time to reflect on things, but today is a day for us to instill the goodness and beauty of the varied blessings in our life. We all have stuff to deal with, but it would be wise to keep in mind the admonition of ‘compare and despair’. Each of us has our own unique journey, and today is a good for us to step away from routine patterns, take the path less traveled, and appreciate the many gifts in our life.
Sunday, June 1st – Not to Get Carried Away – Mars, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday has the Moon finishing its transit of Leo with the Leo Moon today conjunct Mars, the Moon trine Venus, the Moon square Uranus, and the Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo at the end of the day. Fun and doing whatever we want are on the agenda for today. We may feel as though taking time this weekend to re-create has given us a second wind. We just need to watch that we don’t overdo. Our physical energy can be heightened, and we may develop great plans to go here, there, and everywhere. Although the thrust of energy is inviting, we do need to watch that we don’t overdo, get carried away by ‘feel good’ attitudes, and wind up doing to excess. Plans might be disrupted early in the evening, and it would be wise to have contingency plans in case something goes awry. Although we could feel like we’re at the top of our game today, it is also essential that we be adaptable and able to adjust to changing conditions. While there can be a slight blip on the screen, this day and this weekend seem all good. Let’s en joy the weekend, reinvigorate ourselves, and prepare to get back on track during the week ahead.
