The astrology for this week of February 27th through the 5th of March of 2023 can have us enthused and upbeat with smooth sailing except for a few bumps in our road mid-week.
The week begins with everyone in a chatty mood, sharing their latest exploits, discussing with a receptive audience, and feeling on an emotional high.
We are likely to be open to suggestions, considering various options, and we might be made aware of innovative means to accomplish our goals.
While attitude is a large component in determining the success of our efforts, we have to be wary not to get carried away by irrational exuberance.
If we allow narcissism and arrogance to color our engagements, we might find ourselves entrapped by the too muches — doing too much, expending too much, and any other form of just too much. Such a liability may hinder our efforts mid-week when our self-absorption could have us hitting a wall.
Thursday has Mercury exiting Aquarius to enter Pisces, a Sign of Detriment for Mercury where our emotions overrule our reasoning mind. Our thinking can be diffuse, less focused and extremely moody. With Mercury triggering a Pisces Stellium as Mercury joins the Sun and Neptune in the Mutable Water Sign, we are liable to enter a time when the Eeyores and the Debbie Downers are out in full force, seeing everything wrong in the world and nothing as right. The blame game and the victim card could be pronounced with no one willing to be accountable for their actions or responsible for their mistakes, only willing to highlight one’s personal interests with anything negative being someone else’s fault.
While the mid-week can show us the flip side to enthusiasm and excitement with blockages and disappointment, we may start the weekend early with an emphasis on a weekend of good times with good friends. Fun is the name of the game this weekend with us interested in whatever catches our fancy, the costs be damned. The thrust of activity this weekend may be on Saturday with us going full bore only to find our energy petering out late on Sunday when we might decide to retire to our bed early.
All in all, this week can be one that we make memorable by our attention to our personal interests with an optimistic attitude.
Monday, February 27th – Better Together – Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Mars. Monday begins the week with the Moon in Gemini. Early in the day, the Gemini Moon squares the Sun, and the Moon sextiles both Venus and Jupiter both in Aries. Late in the day, the Moon conjuncts Mars. This is a week when Venus and Jupiter transiting Aries are highlighted. Yes, this week could have a strong personal interest focus. Not that we are oblivious to what is going on with other people. We just would prefer to engage those people with whom we agree and with whom we enjoy a mutual admiration relationship. But our main focus is likely more associated with what we want to do and avoiding any parade rainers. We do have to be careful not to become myopic, where we become so concentrated on our personal likes that we become oblivious to things happening around us that could have a significant impact on our activities. Let’s enjoy this day and this week but keep our eyes wide open so as not to wind up spinning our wheels by going from one thing to another to another, sampling but without any in-depth involvement. But I won’t be a parade rainer either, especially since all of us could use a pumped up, positive disposition after dealing with all the craziness going on in the world.
Tuesday, February 28th – Yes, We Can – Neptune, Mercury, Saturn. Tuesday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today square Neptune and the Moon trine both Mercury and Saturn both in Aquarius. Late in the day, the Moon exits Gemini to enter Cancer. With a confident and enthusiastic stance, we might feel as though we can do no wrong. While optimism is an important component to achieve successful results, we have to be wary that our ‘feel good’ attitude doesn’t propel us forward without planning out our day, having itinerary in hand and intended goals in mind. If we take the time to strategize our day, we could be highly effective, accomplish a great deal, and advance both our present involvements and our future projects. Discussions may be insightful and provide us with ideas and suggestions that would allow us to streamline our activities and make us aware of how we could work smarter rather than harder. This is a day when we can devise a best practices approach, all the while that we are enjoying the interactions with other people. If we keep our antennae up and be receptive to new information, we could make some interesting discoveries that encourage us to promote our interests with the sentiment ‘yes, we can’.
Wednesday, March 1st – Seat Belts Required – Sun, Venus, Jupiter. Wednesday has the Moon in Cancer with the Moon today trine the Sun and the Moon square both Venus and Jupiter both in Aries. The planetary configurations occur in the latter part of the day. This is the first day of March, a month that has two major Sign changes, but information about that is for a later time. This is a month when seat belts are required, for we need to recognize that this month could ratchet up the energy and highlight the tumultuous, disruptive events of these times of paradigm shift. But like I wrote above, delineations of Saturn into Pisces and of Pluto into Aquarius are for a later time. Today, we have to suffer through a paradox as to whether we are willing to climb a high dive board or are reticent about going beyond our comfort zone. The past two days might have felt the wind was to our back, moving us along easily and assertively. Our confidence and optimism may have heightened, a sense of exuberance that flavors most of this week. Today, however, we could either try to do too much or feel hesitant about moving forward. We might feel as though we really do not have the resources to truly express our talents. Out of fear or anxiety, we might even restrict our expansions or any new projects that we wish to initiate. If we are a little too much for other people, we could suffer a pushback. This is a day for us to keep from being arrogant or belligerent. It’s not all about us even if we try to make it so. This week highlights our self-interests, but we do need to maintain awareness of people’s receptivity and their own interests and their desires. Collaborative is far more effective than contentiousness or withdrawal from engagement.
Thursday, March 2nd – Alone in our Sanctuary – Uranus, Neptune, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Saturn, Mercury Pisces. Thursday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today sextile Uranus and the Moon trine Neptune. The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are conjunct in Aries. Mercury conjuncts Saturn just before Mercury exits Aquarius to enter Pisces [5:52 PM EST], a Sign of Detriment for Mercury where our thinking is emotionally based rather than clear reasoning and with a liability of our thinking becoming diffuse and scattered. The entry of Mercury into Pisces triggers a Stellium in the Mutable Water Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Neptune in Pisces. The liability of falling prey to victimization where we feel merely responsive and reactive to the conditions around us is increased. While we might feel that we have few secure support systems, which could trigger a feeling of despondence, we could also turn more inward and concentrate on taking care of ourselves and creating a sanctuary of a safe, happy space in our personal environment. With the increased influence of Pisces, the last Sign on the Zodiac wheel, we can have a sense of ‘end times’, but with every ending comes a new beginning. We may question our way forward, but with prayer and faith we are likely to recognize that things will unfold as they will and affirm the truth to the wise saying that ‘we never get more than we can handle’.
Friday, March 3rd – Put your Cares Aside – Pluto. Friday begins with the Moon completing its transit of Cancer with the Cancer Moon opposed Pluto. The Moon then moves into Leo where today the Leo Moon makes no connections to the planets. Whether we have pressing demands on our time or not, this Friday is a day when we deal with what needs to get done early in the day and then put aside our responsibilities and begin our weekend early. No matter the emotional swings we may be going through, we are committed to self-care, a process that finds us looking to engage creative outlets for our individual talents. Whether we participate in projects that we truly enjoy, or we observe the creative abilities of others, this day is a day for us to recharge our batteries and flip the switch from any negative thoughts to looking for exciting adventures. Each of us needs a healthy tonic of love, light and laughter, and this weekend allows us to enjoy all three. Even if we cannot take part in fun activities today, we can plan for a vibrant and enlivening weekend over the next two days.
Saturday, March 4th – Off the High Horse – Jupiter, Venus, Uranus. Saturday has the Leo Moon trine Jupiter in Aries in the morning hours and the Moon trine Venus in Aries towards the evening. The Moon closes out the day with the Moon square Uranus. We may be feeling at the top of our game on this Saturday. Our vitality is likely to be strong and robust, and our sense of being in control of our personal world enhanced. This is a day for us to spread our wings, stretch beyond our limitations and expand our involvements. Whether we travel literally or figuratively, we are more interested today in that which is beyond our normal parameters. We are willing to explore and investigate those options that are unfamiliar to us and that spark a fascination and excitement in us. Like the energy of the impending spring season, we could have a breath of fresh air, a feeling of renewal. We may seek out those activities that are new and different and catch our interest. Although ‘moderation in all things’ is a wise suggestion, we might have none of it today. We are focused on going for the gold, operating at our optimum and not allowing anything to get in our way. Such an attitude can create a problem as we come into the evening hours. An incident that we could not have anticipated might lay our plans to waste. The Leo Moon square Uranus late in the day triggers our old nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square with the Fixed Sign T-Square engaged with the Leo Moon square Uranus today followed late tomorrow by the Moon opposed Saturn. If we have been going hell bent for glory on this Saturday, an unexpected situation late on this Saturday could knock us off our high horse. Let’s enjoy ourselves but keep our eyes wide open to make alterations to our plans if something occurs that forces us to change direction.
Sunday, March 5th – Down a Notch or Two – Mars, Saturn. Sunday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon sextile Mars to begin the day and the Moon opposed Saturn to end the day just before the Moon exits Leo to enter Virgo. We may have been going in a blaze of glory yesterday, enjoying ourselves and having a good old time until some situation interrupted our revelries. Sunday has us wanting to pick up with our good times but perhaps with us taking it down a notch or two. The excessive enjoyments of yesterday can be more restrained on this Sunday, diminished perhaps but not extinguished. We may decide to spend our time either at home or in a more local terrain. Yesterday could have had us going all in on our adventures and excitement, this Sunday less so. We might be looking for more ‘me’ time. Yesterday may have had us banging the drum loudly, going all in, but Sunday is a little more muted. We still want to enjoy ourselves but possibly with less bravado and more focused on personal self-satisfaction. As we come towards the end of the day, the Moon completes the Fixed Sign T-Square with our old ‘friends’, really a nemesis, of the Saturn Uranus square. Yesterday, we had the Moon square Uranus and the evening hours of this Sunday complete the Fixed sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Saturn. This is the last of the Saturn Uranus square, since next week Saturn will exit Aquarius to enter Pisces. The crescendo on this Sunday may have us coming down from the heights of our enjoyment and recognizing our responsibilities and the need to complete outstanding matters as we come into our week ahead.
