The summer season begins on the 21st of June at the Summer Solstice as the Sun exits Gemini to enter Cancer [5:14 AM EDT]. In the Northern Hemisphere, we are at the greatest light, and the energies are such that we are likely to bask in the sun.
With the imprint of the Summer Solstice influencing the summer season we could find ourselves focusing on our own personal interests, willing to explore the far reaches, and looking for adventure whether with good friends or solo.
Romance can be delightful this summer, and social occasions could engage friends old and new. We are looking for a summer of good times, but we have to be wary of pushing the envelope. No extreme sports or extreme behavior towards the end of the month and into July, for our actions may be rash, even ill-conceived, with liabilities to our physical well-being.
But we are likely in a good, upbeat mood as we start this summer. No parade rainers for us. We only want to spend time with those people who share our desire for good times and fun events.
The 22nd has Venus exiting its own Sign of Taurus to enter Gemini. We might have a sense that ‘variety is the spice of life’ with us far more interested in various social interactions with an outreach to any number of people. Even if we feel limited in our social movements, whether by the financial squeeze of inflation’s increasing costs or by the next virus being promoted, we could discover interesting and unfamiliar experiences in our own hometown. Being an accidental tourist would allow discoveries in our familiar locale of which we had not been aware.
Mars sextiles Saturn on the 27th with both planets in their own Signs, Mars in Aries, and Saturn in Aquarius, co-ruler of the Fixed Air Sign with Uranus. If we would extend our reach, we might find that people foreign to our own life events have much to offer in the way of both friendship and wise counsel. Often people unfamiliar with our journey can provide astute observations for our way forward and contribute to our own worldliness.
We come to the close of June with the Cancer New Moon on the 28th. Although the Sun’s entry into the Cardinal Sign signals the beginning of that particular season, the season truly begins with the New Moon in that Cardinal Sign. And so it is on the 28th with the Cancer New Moon truly triggering our summer season. The 28th has Neptune turning retrograde [3:55 AM EDT] prior to the New Moon [10:52 PM EDT] when the Moon conjuncts the Sun to trigger its influence on the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 13th of July.
The New Moon on the 28th is square Jupiter in Aries but has the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, sextile. We may be reticent about stepping out, stepping up, and doing our own thing, especially if the drumming of the fear porn makes us anxious and fearful. It is quite likely that the powers-that-be will find other curveballs to add to their arsenal of the apocalypse. Inflation with spiraling costs, the volatility in the equity markets with severe impact on 401-Ks, unavailability of goods and services, threatened restrictions to individual rights, wars and violent behavior, and pestilence of this virus or that virus are all liable to be thrown at the general public to instill fear.
But as the saying goes: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Or put more eloquently by 19th century American essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson: “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen…”
With the Cancer New Moon we come more into the summer season with an intention to emphasize our free will, spread our wings, and explore the far reaches whether literally in distant travel or figuratively in expanding our consciousness.
We come into July on the 1st with Mars square Pluto, an unfavorable influence liable to provoke aggressive actions, violent behavior. As if a great deal of energy has been suppressed, kept under wraps, this energy configuration could trigger intense releases. We have to be wary that we don’t push the envelope or aggressively forge ahead with a tendency to act out the sentiment: “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.”
Although we might be prone to knee-jerk reactions, impulsive actions, as we start July, it would be wise for to remind ourselves on Newton’s Third Law of Motion where in physics “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
If we push too hard, the pushback may be severe.
We might not be operating with great clarity, for the 2nd of July has Mercury square Neptune. We may have so many options that our consideration of them leaves us dazed and confused. Both with the Mars square Pluto on the 1st and Mercury square Neptune on the 2nd, it would be wise for us to take things down a notch or two, not jump to any conclusions or act reactively and rashly.
Tuesday the 5th of July has two major shifts in energy as Mars exits its own Sign of Aries to enter Taurus [2:04 AM EDT], and Mercury exits its own Sign of Gemini to enter Cancer [2:25 AM EDT]. Not only are these two planetary energies diminished by coming out of their own Sign, both planets are also moving out of positive Signs into negative Signs. Instead of geared to being proactive, we are likely to be more receptive and willing to consider what is going on before leaping ahead impetuously. With Mars entering Taurus, Mars enters a Sign in which Mars is in Detriment, adding to the toning down of its forceful, assertive energy.
Perhaps we shall see less hysteria from the authorities and their mouthpieces. Even if the static continues to be heightened, we are less likely to pay it much mind. We may be far more interested in adeptly dealing with the hand we’re dealt.
Instead of grousing about the costs of everything increasing, sometimes exponentially, we might decide to budget our finances, cut back on our costs, and even consider embracing the concept that ‘living simply is not simply living’.
We have been thrown curveballs over the past two years, sometimes several at a time, and we have become hardened, or better conditioned, to dealing with whatever is being thrown at us.
The weekend of the 9th – 10th of July could be one when we are feathering our nest, making certain that we have all the comforts of home. Even if we have given thought to budgeting our finances and reining in our expenses, we might feel as though enough is enough. The liability to justifying making changes to our home and providing additional comforts to our man cave / she shed / or them sanctuary can be strong enough to bust our budget and bring out the charge card.
Over the past two years during the lockdown and with the new ‘normal’ that has emerged from our stay-at-home; our work, social engagements and personal recreation have all taken a dramatic change in course. Our home has become ever more a base of our operations. With Mercury square Jupiter on the 9th and the Sun sextile Uranus on the 10th, we might decide to make adjustments to our environment and give it an even greater feel of sanctuary. Whether we have become accustomed and more comfortable in utilizing our home environment for most of our activities, this weekend could have us making changes by our throwing out certain things but adding other things, all with the intention of reflecting our altered style of living and whom we now have become.
We are not who we have been. Even if we are not fully aware of whom we have become, we are likely to sense that we have gone through a major transformation and will never be the same as we once were.
The Capricorn Full Moon on the 13th of July [2:38 PM EDT] as the Moon opposes the Sun is influenced by Venus trine Saturn and Mercury sextile Uranus also on the 13th. Insights can prove startling, and unexpected developments could upset our plans. There can be reconnections, reunions with the most surprising incidents occurring. Variety is the spice of life, and this Wednesday may be highly spicy. Our emotions might be ratcheted up, and this is a day for us to suspend judgment, be open to the wonders of these times, and accept the twists and turns of life’s unfolding. Let’s keep in mind that during this paradigm shift things occur not in a sequential manner but in a most random manner sometimes with no apparent rhyme or reason. It would be wise to avoid snap decisions, since we are unlikely to have full information. Far better for us to take a wait and see attitude, hold tight to the changing tides, and enjoy the ride. If we try to control situations, or even try to make sense of what is happening, we could fall into victim mode, feeling out of control and powerless to affect the direction, much less the outcome, of our actions. It’s a marvelous world when we remove our blinders, open to receive the magic of these times, and accept that things do in deed work out.
While the 13th of July could have left our head spinning or our emotions frazzled, the 14th cautions us to guard our heart and our feelings for someone. With Venus square Neptune on the 14th we have to be wary in our relationships with the liability of our engaging a trickster, someone appearing one way, the reality being quite different. What we see may not be what we get. We might be looking for the idyllic in our relationships with the liability of seeing potential in someone without considering whether that person is interested in realizing their potential or presenting just a caricature of how we wish them to be. Let’s not get entangled in the emotional baggage of someone, for we could find ourselves embroiled in a high maintenance involvement that may prove draining and exhausting. We can help someone lift their burden, but we cannot carry it for them.
The 16th – 17th of July would be a good time for an escape from our mundane reality. Whether we stay at home and enjoy the comforts of our home or we go off traipsing through the world, the ability to step away from our everyday experience also opens the door to a more contemplative and reflective time.
There is a great deal of Neptune influence on the 16th – 17th, first with the Sun conjunct Mercury in the third decanate [Pisces] of Cancer and with the Moon in Pisces on the 16th, and on the 17th with the Sun and Mercury both in the third decanate [Pisces] of Cancer and both trine Neptune and the Moon continuing its transit of Pisces. Venus also exits Gemini to enter Cancer on the 17th triggering a brief Stellium in the Cardinal Water Sign as Venus joins the Sun and Mercury in Cancer.
Home and family matters are highlighted on this weekend of the 16th – 17th of July with a strong spiritual aspect that allows us to consider what lies behind apparent reality, what is beyond our accepted mindset and what may be the fundamental characteristics of doing life. The wise axiom reminds us: “As above, so below; as below, so above.”
We can also take this in the following correspondence: “As within, so with out; as with out, so within.”
During these disruptive and tumultuous times, when we are being sorely challenged and our soul strength tested, it is essential that we keep in mind that the appearance of reality is often an illusion and that how we encounter our daily experiences is based upon our perception and our depth of character.
The weekend of the 16th – 17th offers us the opportunity of stepping off the track, seeing the beauty and bounty in the natural world, and restoring our faith and strength in the goodness of living.
After a weekend when we may have replenished our spiritual character or at least taken a breather from the hurly-burly of daily existence, the 18th of July can have us back on track. Mercury opposes Pluto to be followed on the 19th by the Sun opposed Pluto.
Perhaps any time spent in reveries over the weekend made us aware of our priorities and what our true purpose is. We can use the 18th – 19th to position ourselves to engage our talents and pursue our creative interests. Focusing on the truly significant and dismissing the truly irrelevant foster our being more effective with less expenditure of energy. We can concentrate on the truly meaningful without being distracted by the shallow or superficial.
The 19th also has Mercury exiting Cancer to enter Leo [8:35 AM EDT] ending the Stellium in Cancer. This entry into Leo is followed by the Sun exiting Cancer on the 22nd to enter Leo [4:07 PM EDT].
No matter the format, we are engaging re-creational activities. Such involvements can take the form of our creative pursuits, journeys out of Dodge, or just fun events. We are truly embracing the fun of summertime.
The 23rd of July has Mercury trine Jupiter. No matter what seems to be going on in the world-at-large, or the crazy antics of the powers-that-be, we are able to see them like mosquitos at a picnic, nothing more than a minor irritation, as we concentrate on enjoying ourselves. We are likely feeling upbeat, confident of our days ahead, and enthused by the wide realm of possibilities that we could explore.
Just as energized as we might have felt a few days before, we could feel deflated and angry on the 25th – 26th.
The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, square each other on the 25th. Whether we are the culprits or someone else, narcissism with a singular focus on self may trigger slights or hurt feelings. It could trigger a momentary withdrawal from relationships followed on the 26th by verbally lashing out with critical putdowns as Mercury squares Mars. This is a time for us to take everything with a grain of salt with the recognition that everyone has been virtually on their last nerve. Fortunately, at this time we are on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to the Leo New Moon on the 28th.
The Leo New Moon on the 28th [1:56 PM EDT] is in orb of a trine to Jupiter, which turns retrograde today [4:37 PM EDT]. Mercury squares Uranus.
With its influence on the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 11th of August, this New Moon could have us looking at ramping up our summertime fun. Whether we travel out of town or stay home, our emphasis is on having good times and using this period to recharge our batteries and regain the joie de vivre [joy of living]. We do have to be wary of the Mercury square Uranus impact, the energy configuration that is my least favorite for air travel and the liability of various disruptions to any travel plans.
This two-week period calls for contingency plans, the ability to be flexible and adaptable to unexpected changes that might arise. Not only could our physical movement be hampered. We are also liable to find that our costs are greater than anticipated with unexpected costs impacting our finances.
We end the month of July on the 31st with Mercury opposed Saturn and the Sun trine Jupiter. Although our plans might go awry, we could discover the truth to the saying that ‘god and the higher forces have far greater plans for us than we could have imagined for ourselves.’
During these topsy-turvy times, it is essential that we maintain a sense of bemusement and maintain child-like awe and wonder as life unfolds. Things may not go according to plan, our plan, but things are unfolding as they will. We just have to be co-creators with the energies operating. We have to be wary of falling prey to the fear porn and falling into a victim mode. Life may be tough and challenging right now, but people have had it far worse both in the past and recent times. It is important that we maintain an attitude of gratitude for the opportunities and blessings in our life.
We come into August rearing to go. Mars conjuncts Uranus on the 1st of August. While we have to engage brain before brawn, we can have a thrust of energy to explore and discover new trajectories for ourselves. We just have to avoid being impetuous and impulsive, for the liability to accidents cannot be discounted with such a huge jolt of energy to begin the month.
Early August may witness various technological breakthroughs and advances in streamlining operations. We are crossing a threshold of the technology revolution with remarkable headways in robotics and artificial intelligence and infinite energy resources.
We may bemoan what is going on in the world-at-large but meanwhile technology is making rapid leaps and bounds. The primary question may prove to be whether we have the emotional maturity to work effectively with new and radical developments. It would be wise for us to keep in mind the analogy of creating a suspension bridge from where we have come to where we are going, laying down slat by slat, with the necessity of sometimes going back before moving forward, and not cutting the ties that bind before we have gotten to the other side and firmly and successfully planted the new. We don’t want a repeat of the Texas winter where the wind turbines froze and the snow covered solar panels creating havoc for the citizens to try and keep warm. Or the rolling blackouts of electricity in California.
The Mars conjunct Uranus on the 1st of August is followed on the 2nd by Venus sextile Uranus, and Venus sextile Mars. Collaboration, perhaps even with serendipitous encounters, allows for greater input with the likelihood of someone adding something to the mix that might have been previously omitted. We may be looking for win-win situations, willing to embrace the quirky or different from our own perspective. We could even find ourselves veering off from the official narrative to go our own way in exploration of truth and new discoveries.
If the old playbook is brought out by the powers-that-be and old plays reenergized, we might be far too astute to fall for what is being presented as ‘tried and true’. We may realize that suggestions put forth have been tried but no longer true. We are not looking to re-create our past but rather advance into a future with an affirmation in mind: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
Let’s keep in mind that we are in the midst of a paradigm shift, a time when we are moving from linear, sequential reality into asequential reality where things can occur in most unexpected ways, seeming to our conditioned mindset as magic or miracles, but truly non-sequential happenings. Welcome to the New World Order, but seemingly disorder to our conditioned mindset.
The 4th of August has Mercury exiting Leo to enter its own Sign of Virgo [2:58 AM EDT]. Not only is our mind sharp, analytical and focused on the practical. The Mercury Virgo also triggers by Sign an Earth Grand Trine with Mercury in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn, and both Mars and Uranus both in Taurus.
Whether we are stepping back on track with our regular routine or preparing to do so, we are likely to be far more adept at dealing with our practical realities. With inflation putting a crimp on our finances and forcing us to consider alternatives to our ways of doing things, the backdrop of our lives may have changed, but we are astute enough to make necessary shifts and changes instead of merely grousing about things and trying to do things the ways we had done them before.
Having grown up in an English family, I was repeatedly told of the rigors of living in London during the Second World War and the German blitz on London. Lights out, rationing, and limited supplies were characteristics of life in London at those times, and I would be chastised for any waste of food or lights left on after having left a room.
Whatever befalls us by impact of the conditions in which we find ourselves, it is essential that we recognize that we can make it through and could even be stronger from the experience.
The 7th of August has Venus trine Neptune, Mars square Saturn, and a Lunar Grand Trine in the Fire Signs. Relationships can seem close to idyllic, as if we have found our soulmate, our twin flame. We can be buoyed by our connections and confident about our intentions. What we have to be cautious about is any tendency on our part to fall into the old mindset of being in control of situations. If we become overoptimistic and too full of ourselves, we are liable to put on blinders, close ourselves off to the magic of these times and of this moment, and wind up shooting ourselves in the foot. Humility is called for with an appreciation of the awe and wonder that daily life offers. We can either soar with the eagles at this time by being open and receptive to good times, or we could become frustrated and angry that the unfolding is not meeting our expectations. Even if things go swimmingly at this time, they might not meet our standards and then we are liable to chip away at all the goodness, promises and opportunities that these other energy configurations allow for.
With society’s predisposition to problems and negative issues rather than to opportunities and blessings, we could fall into a victim / savior scenario when Venus opposes Pluto on the 9th of August. Our sensitivity may ratchet up severalfold, and we might be holding ourselves, other people, and society all to a higher standard than humanly feasible. Compassion and acceptance are called for with an appreciation that natural unfolding has its ups and downs, twists and turns, and rarely a straight-line progression. It is important that we keep in mind that each of us has our own personal journey with its challenges and its opportunities and that we respect without judgment each individual’s dharma.
The 11th of August has the Aquarius Full Moon [9:36 PM EDT] with the Aquarius Moon opposed the Leo Sun with a Fixed Sign T-Square with both the Sun and Moon square Uranus in Taurus. The Full Moon is also impacted by the Moon conjunct Saturn, followed by the Sun opposed Saturn exact on the 14th. Also on the 11th, Mars sextiles Neptune and Mars in orb of a trine to Pluto exact on the 14th. Venus exits Cancer to enter Leo [2:30 PM EDT].
August has been traditionally the month when people went on their long vacation for the year. People would stream out of the cities and head for the mountains, lakes and seashore. We might have the same idea in mind for this year, but with unexpected curveballs thrown at us. Already the spring floods in Montana have closed Yellowstone National Park indefinitely. Floods, wildfires, droughts and scorching heat, along with higher costs for fuel, food and accommodations, can all contribute to disrupting our plans and forcing us to adopt alternate plans if are planning to leave the sanctuary of our home and a staycation for the wild adventures of the road.
We may be amping to have summer fun but find different obstacles getting in our way. Flexibility and adaptability are called for, especially when things are not going our way.
The 14th when the Sun opposes Saturn and Mars trines Pluto can accentuate any frustrations felt at the time of the Aquarius Full Moon on the 11th. Either we can try and willfully push forward, only to have the pushback ever more severe, or we can try a little finesse, adapt to changing conditions, and move ahead with determination but strategically rather than forcefully. The key will be our ability to step out of our own way, consider the best course of action under the circumstances, and proceed deliberately and cautiously.
Mid-August is also a time when children are either going back to school or preparing to do so. College bound students may be on campus for orientation and settling in. Elementary and high school students may be back in school or getting necessary supplies for the school year.
Summer may not be officially over, but for many mid-August is the start of a new year.
Mercury trines Uranus on the 16th of August. We may have some remarkable insights or hear about some exciting news. This energy is indicative of the paradigm shift where things occur in the most unexpected manner. Remember: this paradigm shift moves us from linear, sequential reality into asequential reality where things can occur in the most magical and mysterious ways.
If we are doing our autumn shopping for our wardrobe or for supplies, we could be surprised by some of the sales occurring around this time. Although we are dealing with inflation, forcing a lot of people to curb their expenses, some of the big store retailers may have overbought with large inventory on hand and a willingness to cut sharp discounts to rid themselves of excess stock.
The 18th of August has the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, in trine aspect. If ever there was a time to ‘go for the gold’ as far as fun and excitement, now is the time. We may have a ‘devil-may-care’ attitude with little or no thought to our expenditures. We want to enjoy ourselves, can justify the costs, and are all in for a good time. We may start the day with great excitement and interested in doing something different from our routine, but we get a grip later in the day and early on the 19th thanks to an Earth Grand Trine. Yes, we are likely to have our head in the clouds as we start the 18th but get our feet back firmly on the ground late on the 18th, early on the 19th.
We might feel as though a choke collar, either imposed upon us or that we put upon ourselves, is removed on the 20th of August as Mars exits Taurus to enter Gemini [3:56 AM EDT]. Mars is in Detriment in Taurus with the martial energy restricted and slowed down as though we were moving ahead with a ball and chain.
With Mars in Gemini our energy shifts dramatically, and we could be all over the place. Not that we are likely to stay at any one place long. We are imbibing the sense of variety being the spice of life and far more interested in doing more, even if only briefly, rather than a concentrated time doing less.
The 21st of August has Mercury opposed Neptune with both planets in Signs they rule, Mercury in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. This energy offers great potential or huge liability. Either we can draw upon our foresight and strategize our way forward effectively, or we could find ourselves in a world of confusion, either buying into the hype without doing our due diligence or so involved in the details that we lose sight of the big picture. Our nervous energy might be ratcheted up, so it would be wise for us not to allow our imagination to run riot or to buy into the fear porn that may be spewed forth by the media, the powers-that-be or consensus opinion.
Whether we fall for the illusions and deceive ourselves under the Mercury Neptune opposition or maintain clarity, the 22nd allows us to be more focused, concentrating on the essentials with a laser-like read of what is really going on. Mercury trines Pluto on the 22nd. We can be attentive to the details, all the while we are considering the big picture and the means to create an appealing presentation. We are getting more serious about our involvements, as the Sun exits Leo to enter Virgo [11:16 PM EDT] also on the 22nd.
Summer may not be over, but increasingly we are getting back into the swim of our daily involvements.
Any changes we have implemented might go for revisions as Uranus turns retrograde on the 24th [9:54 AM EDT]. With the recognition that things often develop internally before externalizing, we might understand that some of the changes we have implemented over the past few years might need to be tweaked, reworked or optimized. Our forward movement can be stalled or merely delayed for a more propitious time.
August 25th has Mercury moving out of its own Sign of Virgo to enter Libra. Although still looking out for number one, our personal self, we are also more attuned with what is going on with other people. We might draw more on other people’s input with the recognition that our own thoughts and ideas can be like a sound tunnel where we only hear or are open to what we are thinking. Like taking off blinders, our willingness to communicate with people and get their view on things provides a more comprehensive take on other perceptions out there rather than just our own.
The Virgo New Moon on the 27th of August [4:17 AM EDT] at the time of the Sun Moon conjunction has the New Moon square Mars, and Venus square Uranus. With an impact on the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 10th of September, we enter a two-week period when we may have a great deal on our plate. We could be juggling our summertime fun activities with getting back on track. Push – pulls between what we want to do and what we need to do can become so jumbled that we lose sight of our schedule and lose track of our expenses. It is important that we stay grounded, maintain mindfulness and keep aware. With so much going on, we could easily get overwhelmed by everything that we are committed to. If people aren’t acceding to our wishes, relationships might prove dicey. We may assume that overwhelm is happening only to us, but we should recognize that overwhelm is part of the present human condition. We’re all feeling it.
After Venus squares Uranus on the 27th, Venus opposes Saturn on the 28th. Last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is engaged, and relationships at this time could suffer, as they may over the next two weeks under the New Moon influence. With Venus in Leo, Uranus in Taurus and Saturn in Aquarius, we are dealing with a Fixed Sign T-Square. To avoid blowups in our relationships this is a time when we need to be especially careful not to step on anyone’s toes or to feel put upon. We are liable to be feeling put upon. Now is a time to cut ourselves and other people a great deal of slack with the British affirmation of “keep calm, and carry on.”
We come into September with all cylinders firing as Mars sextiles Jupiter on the 1st. Whatever we engage, we are likely to do so with determination and optimism. We could have a sense that nothing can get in our way or stop us in advancing our interests. We do have to keep aware of conditions and circumstance. We might assume that what we want we can get, but unexpected developments may cause delays, obstacles or the need to reconfigure our trajectory. Instead of rushing full speed ahead, taking the time to map our course of action could expedite our pursuits with successful results. By Sign, we have both a Grand Cross in the Fixed Signs and a Grand Trine in the Earth Signs.
Although there might be blockages as we come into September, we can also devise a best practices approach where we are working smarter rather than harder. There may be twists and turns, but hopefully in this paradigm shift we have given lie to the belief that the shortest distance between two points is always a straight line.
The 2nd of September continues with a liability to over optimism, overconfidence as Mercury opposes Jupiter. We can be generous to a fault with a skewed belief in the Christian proverb: “there but for the grace of god go I.”
We might also give someone too much of a benefit of the doubt.
We all have potentials, but not everyone of us seeks to realize their potential. Early September suggests, even demands, that our relationships be collaborative where we receive as much as we give. Some people may be users and see other people as marks.
Even if we go there and overextend ourselves to someone who has no capacity to give back, the 5th of September could alter this behavior as Venus exits Leo to enter Virgo [12:05 AM EDT]. We may be more critical of other people, even to the point of setting standards for them to meet. Venus in Virgo is in Fall, where Venus is uncomfortable, as the usual affable quality of Venus and interest in relationships shift to having an edge on and willing to critique people based not upon their personal characteristics but rather on their ability to pull their own weight with their obligations.
Mercury turns retrograde on the 9th of September [11:38 PM EDT], and we all should know what that means. Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’ is back in effect for the next three weeks up to the 2nd of October with its ‘shadow’ lingering on until October 17th when Mercury reaches the degree at which it had turned retrograde.
Our relationships can get a little squirrely with liabilities towards a tug-of-war between our personal interests and those of other people. We have to be wary of narcissism getting in the way of healthy interactions with others.
The 10th of September has the Pisces Full Moon [5:59 AM EDT] at the time of the Sun Moon opposition. With a Mutable Sign T-Square and five planets in Mutable Signs at the time of the Full Moon, our emotions might be heightened with a liability of increased anxiety if we are being continuously subjected to fear porn. Add to these energy configurations the fact that Mercury has turned retrograde the day before, and our nervous energy may be turned up significantly. If we avoid getting caught up in the frenzy of these energies, we could give ourselves credit for being able to withstand and even duck, dodge or dive the dodgeballs of one cataclysmic matter after another. We are doing well under the onslaught of constant craziness.
September 11th has the Sun trine Uranus. Our basic training during this paradigm shift could have provided us with the wherewithal not only to deal with incoming but might also make us more attuned and adept at the shifting conditions and changing circumstance, some of which occur without a moment’s notice. We could decide to make alterations to our ways of doing things and streamline our operations. Developing time management skills where we can be more effective with less expenditure of energy, cutting out the irrelevant to focus on the essentially important, even changing direction as to what we are doing, are all actions we can take to be more productive, more effective, and more aligned with our times.
Old patterns of behavior are hard to break free from, and that reality could be true on the 16th of September. The Sun opposes Neptune, and Venus squares Mars. Sometimes familiarity defines who we are. We often characterize ourselves by what we do and how we do it rather than who we are. If we eliminate our habits and our routine, we might feel as though we are left with a blank slate, a lack of purpose, and an absence of identity. Confusion may be rampant on the 16th with a defensiveness similar to a wounded animal where any criticism or even self-evaluation comes with a stinging rebuke.
The 18th of September has the Sun trine Pluto and Mercury opposed Jupiter. Whatever confusion we may have been going through as we try to find our way through these turbulent and tumultuous times of this paradigm shift, we can get more of a handle on our personal journey forward. We might need to hold our own counsel, for other people may have all sorts of suggestions for us, any of which might be more appropriate for them than suits us. Concentration on what is truly important for us allows us to strip away the non-essentials and the superfluous. While we might assume under a sense of optimism that we can take on ever more, it would be wise at this time to prioritize our activities with attention to each significant matter rather than overwhelming ourselves with too much.
We close out the summer season with Venus trine Uranus on the 20th of September. Although we have all been challenged during these disruptive times, it seems as though the universe always comes forth with some unexpected gift or opportunity not of our making to ease our way. The 20th can be one of those days when we get a glimpse into the unexpected benefits of these times. Call it magic or mini-miracles if you will. As if a serendipitous encounter, someone could appear to provide valuable assistance to our tasks or to our intentions.
What a great way to end a season — seeing glimpses of the blessings in these times of paradigm shift.
Summer 2022… let the living be easy…
