The astrology for this week of March 21st through the 27th of 2022 can have us playing out the old Abbott and Costello routine of “who’s on first”.
Our week is bedeviled by aspects with Mercury in Pisces, a Sign of Detriment for Mercury, where our thinking may be emotionally based, and the appearance might not match the reality.
Hope springs eternal. But hope can sometimes be a fantasy, dismissing our vigilance and lowering our guard, which might be our experience mid-week when a Molotov cocktail-like incident could shock us out of any reveries.
The week begins, as many of our weeks recently have begun, with last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square in play with a Fixed Sign T-Square. Faith in better days ahead may seem contrary to the images projected on the screen.
Our faith can be severely tried as belligerent actions and even new technological tools geared to decimate are revealed. After a strong shock to our systems, we might seek refuge in our hope, faith and prayers.
Caution is called for. While we may prefer to have our head in the clouds, or our head in the sand, it would be essential for us to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground to be aware of twists and turns occurring.
While much of this week could have us desirous of being anywhere other than where we are, the weekend might prove the most productive time of this week. We may be back in harness, effectively taking care of business, as the weekend closes out with Mercury exiting Pisces to enter Aries. Thank heavens for letting go of the gooey, moody, emotional thinking where the heart confuses the brain.
Monday, March 21st – Higher Altitude – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Mars, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune. Monday is the first full day of the spring season, but we could awaken feeling itchy and scratchy and not in the best of moods. The Scorpio Moon triggers last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square in a Fixed Sign T-Square as the Scorpio Moon opposes Uranus and the Moon squares the three Aquarius transiting planets of Mars, Venus and Saturn. A saving grace may be the Scorpio Moon trining both Jupiter and Mercury both in Pisces, and Mercury conjunct Jupiter. If ever there was a time to embrace the 1960’s slogan of Timothy Leary’s “Turn on, tune in, drop out”, this may be one of those days. A sense of security may be shaken, the future looking more like a dystopia than a utopia. But that could be the appearance on the ground level, whereas if we lift our eyes and raise our consciousness, we might realize that despite all appearance all is right in the world. This is a day for us to choose by our free will to see the silver lining within every cloud. By considering life, our life and the goings-on in the world-at-large, from a higher altitude, we might realize that the universe works and is unfolding according to its own rhythm at its own pace. If we choose not to raise our consciousness through prayer, reflection, meditation, we could choose to raise a glass or two and escape into an anesthetized haze.
Tuesday, March 22nd – Break Down – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Mars, Uranus. There are times when less is more, and this Tuesday could be one of those days. We continue with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today trine Neptune, and the Moon sextile Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius where late in the day the Moon trines the Sun. Mars squares Uranus. By thinking before acting and being resourceful in our efforts, we could be highly productive on this Tuesday. We can strip away unnecessary elements, all the while concentrating on the most significant. Later in the day, we might consider expanding our interests and developing new projects. The early part of the day is better served for completing matters and ridding ourselves of the extraneous. With a cleaner slate, the latter part of the day allows us to expand our springtime intentions. Where a spanner in the works comes in is the Mars Uranus square. Caution is advised, for impetuous actions could trigger accidents. There can also be breakdowns in technology with computer problems and Internet issues. An explosive energy that occurs unexpectedly and with tremendous forces, we have to maintain extreme vigilance, exhibit tremendous care, and avoid placing ourselves in harm’s way.
Wednesday, March 23rd – Practicality Please – Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Neptune. Wednesday has the Sagittarius Moon sextile both Mars and Venus both in Aquarius, and the Moon square Jupiter. Mercury conjuncts Neptune. If we got out of yesterday unscathed, then today we might feel as if we dodged a bullet. We could use this day getting together with a loved one or good friend to discuss a wide world of possibilities regarding what we wish to achieve in the future. We can be upbeat and encouraged, but also liable to be dealing more in fantasyland than practical reality. Our visualizations can be intense, and our moods take wild swings between euphoria and despair. Although we are likely to have our head in the clouds, let’s try to engage some practicality. This is a day when we may choose to broaden our involvements, take on more activities, and fully sense the springtime energy of new beginnings. Let’s take things step by step and attend to the necessary components of our projects rather than lunging forward in wild leaps of hope but without essential factors in place.
Thursday, March 24th – Too Much, Too Far – Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. The Sagittarius Moon on this Thursday sextiles Saturn, and the Moon squares both Neptune and Mercury both in Pisces. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn later in the day. Wednesday and Thursday of this week are two days when we could easily get lost in a daze. Our emotions can be riding us, and we might perceive matters more from our moods than our reasoning mind. While we might have the best intentions to deal with our responsibilities with an assist from a trusted confidante, we could fall off the rails and diverge into illusory involvements. Our judgment on these two days may not be the best, and it would be wise for us to draw upon an objective observer who could steer us in the right direction. Significant commitments, important decisions would be best delayed until we have a clearer head, more likely over the weekend or next week.
Friday, March 25th – Letting Go of Preconceived Notions – Sun, Uranus. This Friday has the Capricorn Moon square the Sun early in the day, and the Moon trine Uranus later in the day. One of the characteristics of these times is the discrepancy between our trying to make things happen our way with little success and how things can sometimes fit neatly into place as if by magic when we let go of our preconceived notions and allow the universe to do its work. Much of this week could have had us in an emotional whirlwind with wide swings of moods but a liability to playing present society’s favorite wild card of victimization. We might have felt behind the eight ball as if everything were coming at us rather than our being able to direct our efforts. We may have felt more reactive than proactive. For all our plans and intentions during this week, much of it may not have manifested the way we would have preferred. Interesting that it is later on this Friday and over the weekend that we can be more adept at getting things done. Perhaps we are getting our emotions more in check, less whip-sawed by our moods, and also more attentive to the conditions and circumstances in which we are operating. Friday can provide us an important lesson — that during this paradigm shift we are co-creators with the universe unfolding and not the sole determiners of how things are going. We can lighten up on ourselves with the realization that things can work out effectively if we are willing to be flexible and adaptable to the changing currents.
Saturday, March 26th – After All That – Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, Mercury. After a week when we may have been emotionally wrought over virtually anything and everything, the weekend allows us to get a better grip on reality. Saturday can be a highly productive day, Sunday a day to enjoy, relax and reinvigorate. This Saturday has the Capricorn Moon sextile the three Pisces transiting planets of Jupiter, Neptune and Mercury, and the Moon conjunct Pluto. Late in the day, the Moon exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius. Mercury sextiles Pluto. Perhaps we are feeling more together, more self-actualizing and less at the sway of external events impinging upon us, but this weekend can have us turning the corner and being more willing to play the cards we’re dealt rather than folding under the weight of emotional morass. No matter what we have achieved during this past week, Saturday allows us to get things done effectively and in a timely manner. Even if we have to rework any screw-ups of this past week, we are able to do so today with virtually lightning speed. Our mind is sharp and focused. We are willing to discard the useless and outmoded and concentrate on being more effective with less expenditure of energy. The week is behind us, the weekend present. Let’s use this Saturday to deal with our tasks and employ a clean-up and clear out strategy to lighten our load.
Sunday, March 27th – Time for Levity – Sun, Uranus, Mercury Aries. Sunday has the Aquarius Moon sextile the Sun to begin the day, and the Moon square Uranus late in the day. Mercury exits Pisces to enter Aries [3:44 AM EDT]. Hopefully, we took care of errands and pressing demands yesterday, were able to clean up some of the mishigas [craziness] of this past week and now are free and clear to fully enjoy ourselves on this Sunday. Today is a great day to do whatever we damn well please. There can be some curveballs late in the day, since we are reengaging last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square with the Moon square Uranus today, and the Moon conjunct Saturn tomorrow. But we’ve been there, done that, and should by now be able to effectively handle the push – pull between old and new, even those unexpected situations that can be disruptive during this paradigm shift of tumultuous, disruptive events. Mercury exiting Pisces and entering Aries is a major gift. Mercury is in Detriment in Pisces, where our thinking becomes emotionally based, our reasoning mind lost to sensitivity, and a liability to confusion and being led by maudlin sentimentality rather than critical analysis. And we certainly could have seen that playing out major league during this past week. Mercury coming into Aries also ends the Stellium in Pisces. We are now looking out more for number one, ourselves, and far more interested in the new and exciting rather than being enveloped in the quagmire of mood swings. It’s springtime, and we’re looking for our own rebirth, renewal and new trajectories.
