The astrology for this week of July 26th through August 1st of 2021 has various endings and beginnings, and we just need to know which is which.
The first part of this week has the Moon transiting Pisces, the last Sign of the Zodiac wheel, bringing closure to the Moon’s monthly transit through the Zodiac. Mid-week through the end of the week, the Moon transits Aries, the first Sign of the Zodiac wheel, indicating a new monthly cycle beginning. The weekend has the Moon transiting Taurus and triggering our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square.
This week sees various Sign changes apart from the Moon’s transits. Mercury exits Cancer to enter Leo. Jupiter retrogrades out of Pisces and back into Aquarius. And Mars exits Leo to enter Virgo.
We also end the month of July this week and begin the month of August.
Shifts and changes, pushes and pulls, as we seek a balance between fun summertime activities and our normal mundane obligations.
We might feel the summer slip, sliding away and especially with the fear mongers out in force threatening lockdowns and demanding compliance. The sense of ‘been there, done that’ may be a muted din, but it is liable to trigger for some people the reaction of ‘Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.’
Whether we use this week to recharge our batteries and reinforce our personal will or we fall victim to the edicts handed down from above and succumb to giving away our power, this week is a week of ups and downs, a spiritual crucible when we may well determine how we are going to navigate the currents of these tumultuous times during a paradigm shift.
Monday, July 26th – Warts and All – Venus. The Pisces Moon opposes Venus on this Monday. Self-worth and self-value issues might plague us as we question how we are doing and what we are doing. When people feel less about themselves, some people choose to employ the sentiment of ‘a strong offense is a good defense’. There are those who are liable to find fault in others, pointing out the warts and dismissing the other person in order to feel better about themselves. Other people might merely cringe, feel victimized and retreat into the bunker of a safe space. Let’s engage the sense of ‘there but for the grace of god go I’. Each of us has our own Achilles heel, that weak part in ourselves that we are neither proud of nor wish to be exposed. If we avoid the either / or of today’s energy, we could actually draw upon our intuitive sense, address the specifics of a situation and determine solutions that are presented in an appealing manner. We all have warts. That’s what makes us human, but we can focus on our attributes and those of others rather than the flaws and failings that are inherent in humankind.
Tuesday, July 27th – Resolutions Before the Good Times – Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury Leo. The Moon continues its transit of Pisces with the Moon today sextile Uranus in Taurus, the Moon conjunct Neptune, and the Moon sextile Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early on Wednesday. Mercury exits Cancer to enter Leo [9:12 PM EDT]. The Moon in connection with the three transcendental planets allows us to bring matters to completion by drawing upon our foresight, strategic implementation and streamlined operations. This is a day when things could fit neatly into place. We just have to be receptive and once called upon then put our spirit into action. No grunts and groans for us today, not when things can be accomplished in an easy and expeditious way. We have greater confidence in our abilities, looking to put our mark upon our involvements, and also wanting to resolve various outstanding issues before we turn our attention to having more summertime fun. This is a day for closure and completions, ending matters in order to start tomorrow with a new thrust of energy and a round of new beginnings.
Wednesday, July 28th – Standing on Top – Sun, Mercury, Jupiter Aquarius. Wednesday has the Moon moving into Aries where today the Moon trines both Mercury and the Sun both in Leo. Jupiter retrogrades back out of Pisces and into Aquarius [8:43 AM EDT]. With the Moon beginning a new monthly cycle through the Zodiac as it enters Aries and with the Moon triggering the Leo energy, this is a day when we can do what we want to do, no holds barred. We might pursue our own creative endeavors, or we may prefer fun and games. Whatever we do today, we are likely to put our personal mark on our activities. Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, we could be walking on sunshine, basking in the glow of our own radiance. Nothing is liable to dampen our zest for life. We’ve got a lot of living to do. Even the Eeyores and Debbie Downers would have a hard time today raining on the parade. There will be time to address our responsibilities, and hopefully we dealt with some of our obligations on Tuesday. Now is a time for us to enjoy ourselves, connect with friends, and feel good about things. Our exuberance may be contagious, and people drawn to our energetic disposition and confident disposition. This is a day when we could light the world on fire. Let’s take advantage of our thrust of energy to initiate our own new beginnings.
Thursday, July 29th – Too Much of a Good Thing – Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, Mars Virgo. Thursday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon today sextile Saturn. Mars opposes Jupiter just before Mars exits Leo to enter Virgo [4:32 PM EDT]. Our fiery disposition could have us reaching out to reconnect with people that we haven’t been in contact for a while. We have to be wary that we’re not too full ourselves, coming across as a braggart as we tout our wins and successes. In our conversations today, we need to gauge our audience and take into account their interests as well as our own. If we are too much for people today, there could be an unpleasant pushback. Let’s keep in mind that many of us have been on edge thanks to the stress of these disruptive times. Like the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back, any misunderstanding or misinterpretation could ignite an intense flareup. If we need to release our energies today, finding healthy outlets in exercise and sports activities would be a good way to let off steam. Later in the day we could change our focus from having a good time without giving thought of the consequences to attending to our regular routines and to our physical well-being through proper diet and developing a good health regimen.
Friday, July 30th – Breakaway – Pluto, Jupiter, Mars. Friday ends the Moon’s transit of Aries with the Aries Moon square Pluto and the Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then exits Aries to enter Taurus where today the Taurus Moon trines Mars. Summer Fridays are often considered an extension on the front end of the weekend. Not much gets accomplished if we are trying to carry on with our regular work. And this Friday might be indicative of that characteristic. Even if we have responsibilities to attend to, demands to be met, we are more likely to procrastinate with the believe that we can put off today what we can pick up on Monday. We are far more interested in living for the weekend and the summer promise of relaxation, recreation and getaways. While we can be impetuous early in the day, we take a more serious turn towards the evening. We might regret that we weren’t not more assiduous earlier, but we needn’t beat ourselves up over it. It is summertime, and we could hear the faint but beckoning call of autumn and the need to return to some semblance of ‘normalcy’ in our daily lives.
Saturday, July 31st – Back at It – Venus, Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Sun, Saturn, Uranus. Saturday has the Taurus Moon trine Venus and the Moon triggering our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square as the Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct Uranus, the Moon square Saturn in Aquarius, and the Moon square both Mercury and the Sun both in Leo. Delays and curveballs could knock us off center today and put a dampener on whatever we have planned for this day. It might serve us better to let go of our expectations, keep our head down, and perhaps engage the saying ‘when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping’. Whether it’s back to school sales, tax holidays, or shopping for our autumn wardrobe, we might do less damage to ourselves, if not our finances, if we would go shopping rather than participate in some thrilling, grand adventure. This is one of those days when our attempt to have fun could actually backfire with unexpected situations arising that only stir up angry reactions. Let’s avoid flying off the handle and try to assume an attitude of bemusement. Some people may feel that things have just gotten increasingly dysfunctional with great difficulty just pulling off some of the simplest tasks. Let’s not fall into a handwringing or venting of rage as we perceive the world circling the drain.
Sunday, August 1st – Me Against the World – Neptune, Pluto, Sun, Mercury, Saturn. Sunday is the first day of August, and for many people the beginning of the month might remind them that it’s back to school, back to work, back to the ‘old’ formats. The Taurus Moon today sextiles Neptune and the Moon trines Pluto. The Sun conjuncts Mercury and Mercury opposes Saturn. If we stick to our own personal world, our activities, our interests and the people we engage, then life is good. If we look beyond our sanctuary space at the world-at-large, we could easily get angry, frustrated and depressed. This is a day of the personal I compared to the collective WE. I’m a big believer in the pebble in the pond, that by our actions they go out and have ripple effects impacting in a large way or a small way by influencing nonetheless the greater realm. The micro impacts the macro even if only in subtle, microscopic ways. This is a day for us to draw upon our spiritual nature, put our spirit into action, and do whatever we can to make our world a better place by reason of our input. We do have to be wary of a whipsaw of feelings today, feeling exuberant, happy and energetic to begin the day, only to be deflated, down and depressed later in the day. Energized in the morning hours, we might be depleted later in the day, especially if we are feeling up against the world. Let’s enjoy ourselves, not give much mind to the craziness in the world and take time to meditate or nap or just step off the track.
