The astrology for this week of June 28th through the 4th of July 2021 may seem like going from the sublime to the ridiculous, or from the pleasant to the discordant.
The week begins with the Moon Void-of-Course. We may be slow starting as we get this week going. It’s summertime, and we don’t want to be pushed, hurried, or forced to do anything that we don’t want to do.
A tendency to tune out and just go into la-la-land, or to the shore, the mountains or some other recreational spot may have some of us taking a weeklong ‘off the tracks’ scenario up through the July 4th holiday long weekend.
This sense of engaging our fantasies, or at least being oblivious to our responsibilities and to our pressing demands, can continue through the mid-week period. Even if we are ‘hard’ at work [working hard, hardly working?], our productivity can be diminished by distractions, diversions and just wanting to be some place other than where we are.
With the Moon transiting Pisces through late Wednesday, we are ending the monthly lunar transit of the zodiac wheel and in doing so completions and resolutions are far better attended to than initiations.
Late on Wednesday, the Moon shifts into Aries and the beginning of a monthly cycle. We may feel more engaged, and liable to be enraged during this second half of the week.
As we come into July on Thursday the 1st, our nemesis for the year of the Saturn Uranus square is triggered by Mars going through Leo and creating a Fixed Sign T-Square. Assertive even aggressive behavior cannot be discounted. We might feel as though we are battling against the powers-that-be and confronted by unexpected situations that we could hardly anticipate. While we are trying to solidify our creative endeavors or our vacation plans, various upsets could demand we draw upon contingency plans.
Let’s be aware and take note that the Mars transiting Leo trigger of the Saturn Uranus square this week will be followed by the personal planets of Venus, Sun and Mercury as they transit through Leo intermittently triggering the Fixed Sign T-Square, the ending of which will be the Sun coming out of Leo the third week of August.
Can we say: ‘hot fun in the summertime’?
The end of the week and over the weekend call for us to find outlets for any pent-up physical energy and hopefully without physical alterations or acting-out behavior. People may get a little too narcissistic and in consequence even belligerent. Relationships will need to avoid dustups or confrontations. Accidents are liable due to rash behavior. Let’s enjoy the weekend without engaging extreme sports or hasty actions.
The week ends with Independence Day in the US. During our fun festivities, let’s recognize and fully appreciate all the opportunities, blessings and freedoms that we have enjoyed in this country. God Bless America!
Monday, June 28th – Lazy Daze – Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. Monday begins this week with the Moon Void-of-Course as the Moon completes its transit of Aquarius without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Pisces in the early afternoon hours EDT. Later in the day, the Pisces Moon conjuncts Jupiter. This Monday may be slow starting. We might prefer taking our time to get going this morning. Whether we are taking the week off prior to this coming weekend’s long July 4th holiday in the US or dealing with our responsibilities, we recognize that everything is better done together with someone else. There is little push or drive to this day, rather a pleasant camaraderie and a tendency to tune out the discordant sounds of the world-at-large. This first half of the week could have us traipsing through la-la-land, enjoying the wide realm of possibilities and allowing the river of time to take us wherever it chooses to go. Our trust in the universe might be blind faith with us likely to be willing to accede to the natural unfolding occurring in our life. Our sensitivity is ratcheted up severalfold, but we are more inclined to stay in our happy place rather than engage a frenetic, often frantic, world. This first half off this week is best served by escapes into quiet reflection, getting out into nature and catching our breath. A well-deserved ‘time out’ allows us a respite from the crazies and an opportunity to consider what is truly going on in our life as we cross the threshold of the paradigm shift from linear, sequential reality into the inexplicable ways of asequential reality with its sprinkles often of magic and miracles.
Tuesday, June 29th – Better Ways, Brighter Days – Sun, Uranus, Mercury. Tuesday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon today trine the Sun, the Moon sextile Uranus, and the Moon square Mercury to end the day. We may feel more together today with a greater willingness to trust in the universe and the natural unfolding happening in our lives. Being in a receptive mode, we may find that we are open to wonder-filled surprises, those unexpected incidents that put a smile on our face and make us aware of options and alternatives we had yet to consider. The early part of the week can provide us examples that the universe works and that we are in truth co-creators with the natural unfolding occurring in the world. If we would take the time to step away from our usual routine and enter unfamiliar spaces, we might make some marvelous discoveries and become aware of how we have changed and how our trajectory in doing life has been altered. We do have to be wary of trying to figure it all out. Our mind could try to make sense of it all, a futile exercise since our consciousness might not be able to reconcile previous experiences with present feelings. Tuesday allows us to be privy to brighter days through better ways. We just have to be certain that we don’t try to muck it up with our desire for control over the unfolding and with us trying to make things proceed in accord with our own personal wishes. This is a day for us to appreciate that our personal destiny may have a better trajectory for us than the one we would determine for ourselves.
Wednesday, June 30th – Putting It All Together – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon today conjunct Neptune, and the Moon sextile Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries late in the day. Not only are we ending a month, the month of June, but we are also ending the Moon’s cycling through the Zodiac with the Moon completing the last Sign of the Zodiac and before the Moon enters Aries, the first Sign of the Zodiac, and beginning a new monthly cycling through the Signs. This Wednesday continues with our emotions high, our sensitivity enhanced. It is also a day when we can blend our intuitive abilities with a strategized productivity to accomplish a great deal. It would be suggested that we be productive and effective today, especially in light of the fact that the next few days from tomorrow through the weekend are times when life occurrences go could off the rails. We have some real intense days coming up, so it would be wise for us to utilize this ‘calm before the storm’ to resolve as many matters as possible. We may be more in control of our moods today and better able to focus on our priorities. We might prefer lazing about, but it would be wise for us to take care of certain needs before we launch into the weekend festivities, a weekend that cautions us to be careful and when the energies are ratcheted up severalfold although feeling at times as though we might be banging our head against the wall.
Thursday, July 1st – Put Up Your Dukes – Venus, Sun, Saturn, Mars. The Moon continues its transit of Aries with the Moon trine Venus in Leo early in the day, the Moon trine Mars late in the day, and between the two the Moon square the Sun and the Moon sextile Saturn. Mars opposes Saturn, a trigger to a Fixed Sign T-Square with Mars square Uranus on Saturday. If we have not already gone on holiday for this upcoming long weekend, we may take this day looking for fun and good times. It would be important for us to get our energy out. If we feel that someone is making demands upon us or restricting our options, things could get nasty. We may feel that someone or something is blocking our path, and our reaction might be forceful, even aggressive, to try and push past any obstacles and to break free. This is a day when we truly need to avoid knee-jerk reactions, count to ten before we respond to delays or frustrations, and apply the brakes to avoid belligerent encounters. People are liable to vent their frustrations. A healthy way to do so would be through physical exercise. We need to be cautious in our actions and in our movements over the next few days. If we try to force issues, we might be prone to severe pushbacks. Let’s enjoy ourselves, engage our friends, but keep our expectations low. Things will work out the way they will even if not in accord with our wishes. We may just have to ‘grin and bear it’ with certain incidents today.
Friday, July 2nd – Camaraderie – Mercury. Friday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon sextile Mercury today. Bookended by the Leo triggered Fixed Sign T-Square with Mars opposed Saturn yesterday and Mars square Uranus tomorrow, this day might provide a pleasant respite, a day to get together with a good friend[s] or just take things down a notch or two. If we are traveling or have already traveled for the 4th of July weekend, we are in holiday mode. This day is better for travel plans rather than yesterday or tomorrow. Conversations with people can be pleasant interchanges, but this day might also be the eye of the storm. We are under the influence of the Leo Mars T-Square, and some people may be rambunctious, grandstanding, and focused solely on their personal interests. With the Mars Leo unleashed, it’s important that we moderate our discussions and our actions. This Friday offers us time to get a grip from what might have happened on Thursday and prepare for what could come tomorrow. Let’s enjoy ourselves today, enjoy the company we keep, and appreciate opportunities of good times with good friends.
Saturday, July 3rd – Be Careful Out There – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter, Mars, Uranus. Early on Saturday morning, the Aries Moon squares Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus where today the Taurus Moon sextiles Jupiter. The most significant energy configuration of this day is towards the end of the day as the Leo Mars completes its Fixed Sign T-Square by Mars opposing Uranus. We may be in a highly expansive mood today with the idea of enjoying the holiday weekend no matter the cost. A liability to excess and extreme actions cannot be discounted. While we might be geared for summer fun and recreational activities, we could also be a little over-the-top in our expenditures — whether too much physical exertion, financial costs, or extreme actions. Although we are likely to go for the gusto today, we have to be cautious in our movements and well-considered in our plans. This is a day when we might be accident prone, more as a result of not thinking things through, but rushing around and impetuous actions. Let’s enjoy the holiday mood but be cautious out there.
Sunday, July 4th – Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over – Sun, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Mars. Sunday is July 4th, Independence Day in the US, and a major holiday blowout of good times, barbecues, fireworks, and get-togethers. Not even the social distancing of the virus contagion might dampen our spirits. We are still experiencing the Fixed Sign T-Square. Thursday through Saturday we had Leo triggering the Fixed Sign T-Square with Leo opposed Saturn on Thursday and Leo square Uranus yesterday. On this Sunday, the Taurus Moon sextiles the Sun and triggers the Fixed Sign T-Square with the Taurus Moon conjunct Uranus, the Moon square Saturn in Aquarius, and the Moon square both Venus and Mars in Leo. Despite all the intended frivolities, this day may not go as planned. It is important that we recognize there can be delays, frustrations and the need for contingency plans in case we need to alter our plans. Let’s be wary of contentious involvements. In the US, and a characteristic of the present human condition, there is a great divide in sentiment as to where we are, where we have been, and where we are going. If we would put on the back burner our various opinions as to what is occurring, we could certainly enjoy the day. Let’s appreciate the fact that both as an individual and as a society we are going through a dynamic time, a most turbulent time, indicative of growing pains as we go through our transformation. Nonetheless, for those of us in the US, today is a day to reaffirm our bounties and our blessings and GOD BLESS AMERICA.
