The astrology for this week of June 7th through the 13th of 2021 requires utmost caution and due diligence to read between the lines in order to try and get a handle on what is really going on.
The week begins with the Taurus Aquarius square engaged. We may wish to head off in new directions as we start this week, but we might feel restrained by our obligations and any impediments in our way.
If we would draw upon our intuition and focus on foresights, we could find our way and be rather productive in the mid-week period.
Thursday gives us the Gemini New Moon, a Solar Eclipse, and initiates a most confusing time [as if recent times haven’t been confusing enough!]. The Gemini New Moon is in orb of conjunction with the ruler of Gemini, Mercury, and we are in the midst of Mercury retrograde. Aaargh!
What we came to accept as ‘truth’ could start to fall apart. Maybe we are seeing the subjective within the objective. We might come to accept the truth in Albert Einstein’s statement: “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”
We may have a sense of being in a mental Fun House with sloping floors, dark corridors, and a constant barrage of stimuli and information that seems contradictory or intimidating and much of it making no real sense. Fear mongering is likely to continue with all sorts of existential threats to our very being. If we like nightmares and horror movies, this time period can more than satiate our appetite.
The discrepancy between reality and non-reality is all part of the paradigm shift from linear, sequential reality into asequential reality where things occur in the most inexplicable ways.
Perhaps you have noticed your sleep state to be far more animated than your ‘waking’ state. Mundane reality, which often seems crazy enough, can hardly match the dream state where space-time dimensions collapse as we engage our own Fun House adventures.
The latter part of the week has a significant Sign change. On Friday, Mars exits Cancer to enter Leo. For much of this year we have been lacking the Fire element, but the Mars entry into Leo, the Fixed Fire Sign, gives us more physical energy and a greater desire to participate in re-creational activities. Summer is upon us, even if unofficially, and we are geared for summertime fun.
We do need to keep in mind that the Mars in Leo triggers by Sign a Fixed Sign T-Square triggering the Uranus Taurus – Saturn Aquarius square. We’ll have more ‘fun’ in the summertime as Venus, the Sun and Mercury transit through Leo.
The weekend may have us tending to matters around our home, usual responsibilities that we might not have dealt with. The end of the weekend can have us out and about and exploring good times with good friends.
Monday, June 7th – Betwixt and Between – Uranus, Saturn. Our year’s nemesis of the Uranus Taurus – Saturn Aquarius square is engaged as we start the week. Monday has the Taurus Moon conjunct Uranus and the Moon square Saturn. No matter what innovative means, unexpected possibilities, or new trajectories we might wish to develop, the past may well determine our present. This is a day when we could be ready to take a new tack as to what we are doing and how we are doing it, only to find old patterns and present responsibilities stymying our attempts. In society, and even in our own individual lives, we are betwixt and between a paradigm shift from the ways things have been into unexplored territories of the ways things could be. Old and new seem very much in conflict like a tug-of-war between the two. While extremes can seem metronome-like swings, the key and the goal are to find balance, the middle way. We can draw upon the expertise gained from past experience and incorporate it into the cutting-edge of the contemporary. There is no need to throw baby out with the bath water. On the contrary, we have the ability of fine tuning our behavior, our attitude and our disposition in order to be more in synch with present currents. As a consequence, we can be more effective with less expenditure of energy. While among us there are many Eeyores who only see the negatives and the ills in society and in their personal lives; by focusing on dystopia we blind ourselves to the beauties, bounties and blessings that are all around us in society and in our individual lives. The transition into a new paradigm can be challenging and may have us feeling like we are in some sort of pachinko machine bouncing from pin to pin, or from one situation to another to yet another. If we would keep in mind that ‘life is good’ and that life does NOT have it in for us, we could better enjoy the ride and appreciate that all of our experiences, both our opportunities and our difficulties, provide the grist for our self-development and eventual ascension.
Tuesday, June 8th – Get it Together – Neptune, Pluto, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. Tuesday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today sextile Neptune in Pisces, the Moon trine Pluto, and the Moon sextile Mars in Cancer. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini where the Moon today squares Jupiter. We can be highly productive on this Tuesday, but it would be wise for us to concentrate on completions and resolutions rather than initiations. We are finishing up the waning Moon, times better for endings rather than beginnings. Our sensitivity may be ratcheted up, but it’s not maudlin sentimentality. Instead, we might choose to spend time fixing things up around our home environment, dealing with the details of our mundane matters and achieving a fair amount in a short period of time. The sense of spirit in action might impel us to address various outstanding matters. We do need to keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde and a retrograde that could be increasingly squirrely under the influence of Thursday’s New Moon and Solar Eclipse. Much of our effectiveness on this Tuesday can occur in the earlier part of the day, for late in the day we could be overwhelmed by a wide variety of options for our engagement with a liability of trying to take on too much and do too much.
Wednesday, June 9th – Catching Up – Saturn. Wednesday has the Gemini Moon trine Saturn. We are on the “dark side” of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. This Wednesday is a good day to catch up with those people with whom we have not been in contact for a while. We might make plans for reunions and get-togethers, but it would be wise under the Mercury retrograde to do so in pencil with a large eraser. During these times of both Mercury retrograde and the paradigm shift where things can shift and change without a moment’s notice, it is wise to keep in mind the affirmation ‘if you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans.’ In scheduling anything nowadays, it is essential that we do so with contingency plans as a backup in case our original intentions fail to materialize. Everyone may be chatty today and reinforce the idea that we are not ‘islands unto ourselves’ but social animals who enjoy engaging with people, sharing our experiences and our opinions, and listening to the thoughts and ideas of other people. We can give thought to our future projects and what we wish to do, but today is far better for considering things rather than implementing them.
Thursday, June 10th – The Crazy World of – Gemini New Moon, Solar Eclipse, Sun, Mercury, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday has the Gemini New Moon [6:53 AM EDT], a Solar Eclipse, as the Gemini Moon conjuncts the Sun. The Moon also conjuncts Mercury and the Moon squares Neptune. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost fourteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer early on Friday morning. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. This Gemini New Moon highlights Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini, with Mercury being retrograde. This Stellium in Gemini at the Gemini New Moon with the square to Neptune impacts the next two weeks up to the Full Moon and influences us over the succeeding months. While we may be looking at new ways forward, we might not have an instruction manual. On the contrary, the liability towards a lack of clarity with possible confusion and missteps thrown in cannot be discounted. Although we are looking at beginnings and initiations, we have to be certain that our steps forward are grounded, pragmatic and realizable. We do not have to know every detail, but now is not a time to merely go blithely forward assuming that everything will work out. Everything will work out but not always according to our wishes. Things over the past year have been crazy-making largely due to the response of the virus, and the crazy-makings aren’t done with yet. We may not be in the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, but these times demand fortitude and courage and maintaining a bemused attitude as we try to make our way through the Fun House. We need to take everything we see and hear with healthy skepticism, for otherwise misunderstandings, deceptions and illusions could shake us to our very foundation. We can make our plans but let’s do so in pencil with a large eraser.
Friday, June 11th – Feeling the Summer Vibe – Jupiter, Mars Leo. The Moon moves into Cancer where early today the Moon trines Jupiter. Mars exits Cancer to enter Leo [9:34 AM EDT]. Friday may have us fixing things around our home. Whether we have weekend plans or want to ready for summer activities, we are likely to feel in the swing of summertime activities. Mars entering Leo provides us the Fire that has been missing since the third week in April. We shall have more Fire over the summer with the personal planets of Venus, the Sun and Mercury all transiting through Leo. The Fire influence continues through the third week of August. We may have more physical energy, more interest in re-creational activities, and can find venues for our own creative expressions. After a year plus of lockdowns, imposed restrictions and forced compliance, we are ready to assert our personal power and affirm our individual freedoms. We are less likely to fall prey to playing the victim role or embracing negativity. We are ready to call out loudly and act forcefully in a way that tells the world: “I gotta be me.”
Saturday, June 12th – Adding a Twist – Venus, Uranus. With a new-found thrust of energy, thanks to Mars entering Leo yesterday, we might use this Saturday and early Sunday to change things up around our home, purchase items to add spice to our environment, and gather the necessary components for entertaining at home. The Cancer Moon today conjuncts Venus, and the Moon sextiles Uranus. We can clean up and clear out furnishings that no longer appeal to us. We are looking to spice up our life, and this could be a day when we go shopping to enhance makeovers of our home, our wardrobe, even our personal appearance. We wish to stand out, reflect a vibrant sense of our being, and throw off the dampening spirits of the recent past. The lethargy we might have felt over the past few weeks can be replaced with excitement and increased joy of living. Before we head to the summit of good times and entertainment venues, we may want to begin with the base camp of operations — our home. Once we have fixed things on the home front today and tomorrow, we are ready to socialize, entertain, and go out and about. Yes, we are looking to walk on the sunny side of life.
Sunday, June 13th – Reflecting the Light – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Leo, Venus, Uranus, Sun, Neptune. The first part of Sunday continues with the alterations we might have started on Saturday. The Cancer Moon trines Neptune, and the Moon opposes Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon moves into Leo where the Moon today conjuncts Mars. Venus sextiles Uranus, and the Sun squares Neptune. We may complete any changes we made yesterday. We may have commitments to honor, but they do not have to put a kibosh on later good times today. Once our house is in order and obligations addressed, we could shift into a party mode, looking for where we can enjoy ourselves, whether participating in sports and recreational activities or taking in entertainment performances and cultural venues. Interesting connections might happen, and surprising contacts could put a smile on our face. We may feel that once again the world is our oyster with our desire to sup the fullness of life. We just have to be wary that we don’t indulge too much or expend energy to excess. This Sunday is a day for us to reflect the words to the popular gospel song: “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.”
