The astrology for this week of July 8th through the 14th can have us walking on sunshine as we enjoy the summer heat, fun events, and a sense of romance in the air.
We start the week feeling upbeat and inspired. If we are receptive and have our antennae up, we could encounter serendipitous incidents where exciting things occur in the most unexpected manner.
While this week is largely tuned to summertime recreational activities, the mid-week period may have us focused on taking care of what we need to get done and provides a good time for us to brainstorm how best to reconfigure our operations to be more effective with less expenditure of energy.
The end of the week and over the weekend might have us involved in our relationships, new connections, and the questioning of old connections. Are we turning a corner when we need to leave certain people behind and embrace new contacts?
Time will tell. There is no need for us to do an either or in our determinations but rather allow the universe to proceed with its unfolding and natural release and increase as we go along. As we let go of the old and outworn, space is created that will later be filled, for the universe abhors a vacuum.
This is a week for us to enjoy ourselves, take care of any pressing demands, but to use the week to relax, reinvigorate, and re-create. No need for us to stir up animosity when political perspectives and views on societal conditions are merely opinions based on limited and often false information.
Monday, July 8th – Exciting Developments – Mars, Venus, Uranus, Mercury, Jupiter. Monday begins the week with the Leo Moon with the Moon square Mars late in the day. Venus sextiles Uranus, and Mercury sextiles Jupiter. Whether we are in the US with the intention of continuing the 4th of July holiday week into this second week of July or anywhere else in the world, the tendency as we begin this week is to enjoy ourselves, have fun, and explore unfamiliar terrain. This week is a splendid week for holiday and vacation. Interesting encounters might put a smile on our face and show evidence of the magic and the mini miracles of the paradigm shift which we are all experiencing. While some of the unanticipated developments may not be earth shaking, they can give us a sense that all is right in the world, or at least in our world. We do need to keep in mind the importance of balance in our lives and ‘moderation in all things’. We could easily get carried away by our own enthusiasm and by the surprising situations that might be part of this Monday. Like little children, let’s enjoy the awe and wonder of the exciting incidents of these times but let’s also pay attention to the parts that make up the whole.
Tuesday, July 9th – Tending to Details – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday has the Moon completing its transit of Leo with the Leo Moon square Uranus in the early morning hours. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon competes its transit of Leo and before the Moon moves into Virgo where the Virgo Moon today makes no contacts to the planets. If we got carried away by a ‘feel good’ attitude yesterday, certain curveballs might upset our applecart as we start this Tuesday. One of the characteristics of this paradigm shift and the ‘new normal’ is the likelihood that even if we feel we have established stability and security something comes along to keep us aware of the need for flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstance that can occur suddenly and dramatically with hardly a moment’s notice. Perhaps we were so giddy yesterday with everything falling neatly into place with little effort on our part that we took our eye off the ball and glossed over specifics and particulars. Details matter, and this Tuesday can have us picking up the pieces, reworking situations that need attention, and attending to the components rather than being solely content with the big picture. Even if we are in holiday mode, today through early Thursday may have us attending to matters that demand our focus and involvement with even minute factors.
Wednesday, July 10th – House in Order – Jupiter, Sun, Saturn. Wednesday has the Virgo Moon square Jupiter. The Sun trines Saturn. The Virgo Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square that occurs through tomorrow with the Moon square Jupiter today, and the Moon opposed both Saturn and Neptune both in Pisces tomorrow. The question of expansion and contraction is in play today and tomorrow with a sense of expansion and over expansion today, followed tomorrow by contraction and constriction. The key element to this Wednesday and Thursday is balance, finding the middle path between indulgence and abstinence. Fortunately, the Sun trine Saturn today would allow us to concentrate on the purposeful and help us develop an effective template by which we could successfully accomplish our goals. While we might feel a metronome swing between taking on too much and a sense of cathartic overwhelm, taking the time to strategize our approach with confidence that we can get it right would help dispel nagging thoughts of self-doubt or questioning our self-worth. A good template with our ‘to do’ list itemized and prioritized could keep us in line, effective and expeditious in whatever we take on. This is a day for us to get our house in order both literally and figuratively.
Thursday, July 11th – Business then Pleasure – Saturn, Sun, Mars, Uranus, Neptune, Venus, Venus Leo. Thursday has the Moon finishing its transit of Virgo with the Moon sextile the Sun and the Moon trine Mars. The Moon also completes the Mutable Sign T-Square that began yesterday with the Virgo Moon square Jupiter. Today, the Virgo Moon opposes both Saturn and Neptune. The Moon then moves into Libra where to end the day the Libra Moon sextiles Venus, which has just exited Cancer to enter Leo [12:19 PM EDT]. Prior to Venus entering Leo, Venus in Cancer trines Neptune. Tuesday, Wednesday, and early Thursday are good times to deal with any of the mundane matters of our lives that need to be addressed. If we take care of what needs to be done and can be done in a most expeditious manner today, then we can use the rest of the day to kick back and enjoy ourselves. With Venus now in Leo and joining Mercury in the Fixed Fire Sign we’re interested in good times. It’s summer, after all, a season to play, relax, and enjoy. Taking part in recreational activities, going to outdoor concerts or other entertainment venues are far more enticing than too much seriousness. We all need a break, and this day through the weekend provides a summertime respite from the day-in, day-out of our regular lives.
Friday, July 12th – Play Nice – Pluto, Jupiter, Venus. Friday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today triggering a Grand Trine in the Air Element with the Libra Moon trine Pluto in Aquarius and the Moon trine Jupiter in Gemini. The ruler of Libra, Venus opposes Pluto. Friday can be an especially pleasant day for upbeat conversations, scintillating discussions, and good times with good friends. We just need to keep everything light and airy. Since we all have our personal opinions and make judgments based upon our individual bias, good times could turn bad if we allow ourselves to pontificate or feel it necessary to win arguments. Let’s keep aware that there are times when our convictions are based upon too little information, misinformation, or disinformation. What we believe are often assumptions with little basis in fact. Ah, the post-modern world where the subjective supplants the objective. Instead of falling prey to the craziness rampant in our world, it would be wise for us to play nice and enjoy ourselves without contributing to the turmoil amidst all the turbulence. Why let disagreements spoil a wonderful day of pleasant social interactions?
Saturday, July 13th – Lazy Day – Mercury, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Saturday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today sextile Mercury to begin the day and the Moon square the Sun in the evening hours. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for sixteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio Sunday morning. Whatever allows us to spread our wings and expand beyond our normal parameters may be appealing to us on this Saturday. Today is a great day to get out and about, explore new terrain and fully engage the joy of living. It would be wise for us to pace ourselves, since the excitement and energy can be maxed out, eventually dissipated, only to leave us exhausted by the end of the day. Saturday suggests we make ourselves a game plan, both literally and figuratively, before we start off. We may have a great deal of energy today, and we might be interested in exploring unfamiliar terrain, activities new to us, and fully engage summertime recreations. If we could have someone join us in our grand adventure, our exciting caper, all the better it would be. But let’s keep in mind that we’ll be winding down as we move towards the evening hours.
Sunday, July 14th – Wipe Out – Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto, Venus. Sunday begins with the Void-of-Course Moon in Libra. The Moon then moves into Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square Pluto in Aquarius and the Moon square Venus in Leo. The past two days could have, should have, us making nice to other people. This sentiment of being pleasant might continue early on this Sunday, but then dispositions are liable to shift suddenly and dramatically. If someone has gotten on our last nerve, this may be the day when we let them go, cut the ties that bind, and release connections that might have served us once but no longer have relevance to our present, much less our future. The second half of this day could be spent in eliminations, letting go of the outmoded and worn out. We may be highly selective as to what we want to maintain and what we wish to be rid of. This Sunday is a good day for cleaning up and clearing out. It might not be pretty, but we’re looking to concentrate on the truly significant, no longer interested in wasting our time. While we had much of this week to enjoy ourselves, take care of any pressing demands, and reinvigorate ourselves, the latter part of this Sunday could have us back on edge. Let’s avoid knee-jerk reactions and impulsive behavior, for once unleashed we could be like the kraken wreaking havoc and destruction in our wake.
