The astrology for this week of April 15th through the 21st of 2024 has a once in twelve-year occurrence with an energy configuration that can provoke the unexpected to the max.
This week starts off with us attending to our fundamentals. Family issues, living concerns and completing various outstanding matters could demand our attention. Clear up and clean out might be the sentiment as we begin the week.
The mid-week period may have us spreading our wings, doing our thing, and an emphasis on our standing out rather than just trying to fit in.
The end of the week has the Sun exiting Aries to enter Taurus to end the Stellium in the Cardinal Fire Sign and to trigger a Stellium in the Fixed Earth Sign as the Sun joins Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus. We continue the Stellium in Pisces with Mars, Saturn and Neptune in the Mutable Water Sign. With the Taurus and the Pisces Stellium, we may find ourselves in a proverbial mud season.
Feeling the influence already, Saturday has the Jupiter Uranus conjunction exact. Everything may be happening to the max and with unexpected situations occurring. This is a time for us to be ultra-cautious as we might witness extreme geophysical activity of earthquakes and volcanoes, terrorist attacks. And extreme volatility in the financial markets.
A new day is dawning, but it might come in banging and crashing. Let’s be careful out there but also look for the signs of transitions and transformations.
Monday, April 15th – Taxman Cometh and Taketh Away – Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Sun, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday has the Moon in Cancer with the Cancer Moon square both Mercury and the Sun both in Aries, the Moon sextile both Jupiter and Uranus both in Taurus, and the Moon trine Neptune. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo. This Monday is a Tax Day in the US, the day that filing our individual tax returns to the Internal Revenue Service is due. Whether we have already filed or not, we can feel the crimp of taxation on our gross income. We might question what we have gained from over three months of our wages going to cover our yearly taxes. Some of us may be looking forward to an expectant refund of what we have already contributed to cover our tax burden. With the tax season now behind us (‘devil get thee behind me’), we could take the time to consider how best to shelter our income, be more resourceful budgeting our revenue and expenditures, and how we can diminish next year’s tax consequences. This is a day for us to give thought to options and alterations and for us to be open to ‘ah-ha’ moments that would allow us to be more autonomous in our actions.
Tuesday, April 16th – After the Fall – Pluto. Tuesday has the Leo Moon opposed Pluto. We might feel as though the wind has been knocked out of our sails, and it wouldn’t be surprising with our coming off Tax Day in the US when we consider how much we have given for what we have gotten back in return. We might give thought to the largesse and expenditures of the federal government with a view to how little of those outlays goes towards the national well-being. We may even consider the likelihood of increased taxation next year with the ravages of inflation over the past three years and how the combination could further diminish our resources and dampen our intentions for projects and activities we would far prefer to engage. Although we are liable to feel the noose tightening, we don’t have to feel totally overwhelmed by conditions and circumstance. We might just have to be more resourceful, more astute with our finances, and better adept at juggling our revenue stream with our expenses. If we feel knocked back by the realities of these present times, let it be momentary. As the wise saying states: “we never get more than we can handle.” By being judicious in our actions and conscious in our decisions, we can effectively and successfully deal with whatever comes our way.
Wednesday, April 17th – Where Will, Where Way – Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus. Wednesday continues with the Moon in Leo with the Leo Moon early in the day trine both Venus and Mercury both in Aries, and later in the day the Leo Moon square both Jupiter and Uranus both in Taurus. We can get a second wind on this Wednesday. Tax Day is likely a fainting memory, our sense of its impact on us lessening, and in their place our confidence and determination to move ahead are restored and renewed. We may feel that we are able to meet any challenge and overcome any obstacle as we make our way forward. These times of paradigm shift with extreme volatilities and unexpected incidents demand that we be vigilant, aware, and mindful to the shifting tides of circumstance. The metronome swing between elation and despair necessitates accepting the concept of ‘moderation in all things’ and modulating the extremes and our response to variations. If our second wind today went to the extreme of our feeling infallible and invincible, we could have a comeuppance later in the day. What we intend to do could hit the wall either by the costliness of our ventures or the restrictions placed on us by regulations. We need to avoid extremes, but not give up hope if we find ourselves blocked. It may sound trite, but there is great truth in the saying: “where there’s a will, there’s a way.” We do not have to succumb to the appearance of reality. Instead, we can acknowledge conditions, be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstance, and make our way forward, astute to how things are evolving.
Thursday, April 18th – Smarter not Harder – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday has the Leo Moon trine the Sun early in the day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo. The Virgo Moon makes no connections to the planets today. Even if we felt thwarted late yesterday, the metronome swings, and we might awaken full of joy and optimism. We can see the future, and the future is now. Thursday provides us the impetus to put our spirit into action. Feeling a thrust of confidence and determination, we could implement our plans. Our focus may be on the details, making certain that nothing falls between the cracks. Our diligence to the specifics of our engagements will make them stronger with no weak links. This is a day when we may work smarter rather than harder. Proper planning before we start our day would allow us to streamline our operations, be highly effective with less expenditure of energy, and accomplish a great amount. Thursday through Saturday are three days when we can be productive and get more done than on many other days. This Thursday running through Saturday are days not to lose to the frivolous, but rather days to attend to our responsibilities and getting things done.
Friday, April 19th – All This and More – Saturn, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Sun Taurus. Saturday has the Virgo Moon opposed Saturn. Mercury conjuncts Venus, Mars sextiles both Jupiter and Uranus both in Taurus, and the Sun exits Aries and enters Taurus [10:00 AM EDT]. While we might want to accomplish a great deal before the weekend, we could either get stuck on certain details, or we may find ourselves distracted by any number of things. Our schedule can easily be disrupted by whatever is going on. The Sun exits Aries and enters Taurus. As the Sun does so, the Cardinal Fire Sign Stellium ends, and the Sun triggers a Fixed Earth Stellium as the Sun joins Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus. We are feeling the heightened energy of tomorrow’s Jupiter Uranus conjunction. We are likely to involve ourselves with as much as possible today, have our antennae up regarding new trajectories to explore, and head off in new directions. Fortunately, the Sun’s Sign change from Aries to Taurus can provide a grounding element but will it be a little too late when we are in process of a turbothrust. The old and the experienced might try to restrain us, but virtually nothing is likely to hold us back.
Saturday, April 20th – Game Changer – Jupiter, Uranus, Mars, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Saturday continues with the Moon’s transit of Virgo with the Virgo Moon today trine both Jupiter and Uranus both in Taurus. The Virgo Moon opposes both Mars and Neptune both in Pisces. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over two and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra to end the day. The major and a very significant energy configuration on this Saturday is the Jupiter Uranus conjunction. Life can ratchet up severalfold, either on a positive level or on a negative level. With Jupiter being the planet of expansion and Uranus being the planet of the iconoclastic, we could see the burgeoning of new structures, new involvements, all the new and with a recognition that much of the changes which might occur during this period are unexpected, situations that we would have difficulty imagining beforehand. We could witness to the truth to the saying: “build upon rock or build upon sand”. That which has been built upon rock may be challenged and threatened but can withstand any assaults with the possibility of dramatic alterations to the situation. That which has been built upon sand could be washed away with the changing tides. This is a time when life could be ratcheted up significantly. Geophysical phenomena of earthquake and volcanic activity may be highly active. Atmospheric storms systems could prove intense with wild wind speeds and record precipitation. The financial markets might be highly volatile. And people acting out, warlike involvements, naval mishaps or attacks, and terrorist activities cannot be discounted under the influence of this energy configuration. On the flip side, we could utilize the intensity of this energy for transformation, a greater awareness, and an awakening, even to the point of ascension in consciousness.
Sunday, April 21st – Right Connections – Pluto, Sun. Sunday has the Libra Moon trine Pluto, and the Taurus Sun square Pluto. This can be a paradoxical day, a day when we make nice with people, even people that we might not necessarily like. I always suggest that how we view our interactions could be based upon ‘check the source and check their agenda’. There can be a revolving door with our relationships, some people moving out no longer connected to where we are going rather than where we have been, and new people coming forward attuned to where we are going. We are looking to solidify right connections, both in terms of the people with whom we associate and our various involvements. We may be primarily interested in dealing with those who can assist us in achieving our ambitions, although we might feel as though we do not have the necessary resources to pull off our greatest endeavors. Let’s keep in mind that during this paradigm shift, things can happen in the most unexpected manner. Even the implausible could be realizable. Under the Jupiter Uranus conjunction influence, we have the opportunity to expand our interests by means of the magic and mini-miracles that the energy suggests. We just need to believe in our intentions and make commitment to successful accomplishments. We may not know the way to make our dreams come true, but every startup and every new beginning take the first step. We need to take the first step and trust that the way will be made clear as we proceed.
