After what might have seemed a particularly challenging period, the astrology for this week of November 6th through the 12th of 2023 lightens up and brightens things, at least until we come to Friday.
Despite the week beginning with the Moon Void-of-Course and the likely feeling of ‘hard to get going’ in the morning hours with a tendency for us to be too self-absorbed, we can kick into a ‘can do’ attitude later in the day.
Much of this week provides the energy configurations for us to be effective and productive. The first half of this week suggests we focus on addressing what needs to get done.
By drawing upon the assistance of a supportive collaborator and utilizing precise measures and intuitive insights, we could accomplish a great deal.
Much of this week can have us operating on greased wheels with things going smoothly and our being fully appreciative of the ease of operations.
The end of the week and over the weekend might prove vexing. The volatility of these times tends to have us swinging from one extreme to the other. Let’s try to attain balance, even though difficult to maintain, and engage patience with an attitude of calmness.
This week has two planetary Sign changes. Venus exits Virgo to enter its own Sign of Libra on Wednesday, and Mercury exits Scorpio and enters Sagittarius, a Sign of Detriment for Mercury, on Saturday. We may be far more accepting of the individual characteristics and quirks of other people, but our thinking and our conversations could be wide-ranging to the point of diffuse and scattered.
Monday, November 6th – Take it Slow – Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Venus, Pluto, Neptune. Monday begins this week with the Leo Moon square Mercury in the early morning hours. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon moves into Virgo later in the day where the Virgo Moon today opposes Saturn. Venus trines Pluto, and Mercury trines Neptune. We might want to do one thing but feel obligated to do something else. This is a day for us to draw upon the support of someone able to light a fire under us, focus our attention, and motivate us to get going. If we avoid feeling under the gun or grousing about what we need to get done, we could be highly productive, devise a best practices approach, and then achieve more than we might have imagined. The key to today’s success is preventing our emotions from holding us back by resenting what lies straight ahead of us. We just need to get out of any moodiness, take charge and feel the wind to our back.
Tuesday, November 7th – Whistle While We Work – Jupiter, Sun. The Moon continues its transit through Virgo with the Moon trine Jupiter early in the day and the Moon sextile the Sun late in the day. Even if we were petulant or depressed yesterday and did not take advantage of the thrust of supportive energies from external forces, this Tuesday may have us more upbeat with a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to do what we need to get done. The volatility of these times could be evident with us having fallen into the doldrums yesterday and feeling close to euphoric today. Ah, the metronome of these times with the intention of whittling down the extremes to reach an equilibrium, a state of balance and with it non-attachment. We can deal with the specifics of various matters today and might find some bargains if we go shopping. With the idea that by taking care of the little things and dealing with the particulars the big things will take care of themselves, our attention to details might be especially successful and leave us with a sense that our life is progressing successfully with us feeling competent and confident in our way ahead.
Wednesday, November 8th – All Systems Go – Mars, Neptune, Mercury, Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Pluto, Venus Libra. Building upon yesterday’s enthusiasm and confidence, this Wednesday is one primo day when all systems may be a ‘go’. The Moon continues its transit of Virgo with the Virgo Moon sextile Mars in Scorpio early in the day, and the Moon sextile Mercury in Scorpio to end the day. Between the two, the Virgo Moon opposes Neptune, and the Moon triggers an Earth Grand Trine with the Virgo Moon trine Uranus in Taurus and the Moon trine Pluto in Capricorn. The three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are engaged today, as they have been at different times recently with indications that we do not have to do it all but that the universe works in our favor. Mercury sextiles Pluto, and Venus exits Virgo to enter its own Sign of Libra [4:30 AM EST]. This Wednesday can be both highly productive and deliciously pleasant. We could get a lot done today by utilizing time management skills and streamlined operations. With the higher octaves of the ancient planets triggered, this is a day when things work with very little effort on our part. We just need to keep aware, be mindful, and catch the wave to be sitting on top of the world. By prioritizing and being resourceful, we have the opportunity of advancing our interests and getting much done on various projects. With Venus entering Libra, people are less likely to be critical or judgmental of other people. There can be a more accommodative stance, even a greater willingness to help each other out. This is not a day to be lost to the Debbie Downers or the Eeyores.
Thursday, November 9th – Making Nice – Venus. The Moon moves into Libra early on this Thursday and the Moon conjuncts Venus. This day is all about our relationships and making nice with each other. Perhaps we are feeling better about ourselves and our personal realm, no matter whatever craziness might be occurring in the macro environment of the world-at-large. We are looking for peace, serenity, and camaraderie. While recent times may have been anxiety-provoking and conflicted for us, this Thursday provides a respite from the frantic, hurly-burly of these times. Today would be a good day to get together with a special friend or colleague and take the time to share our ideas and our experiences. No need to get political or judgmental. We’ve been there, and increasingly we should be aware that what is projected as ‘news’ is often now little more than opinion, commentary based upon inherent bias, subjective more than objective, and often fictions presented as facts. No, today is a day to enjoy ourselves and the company of others. If we have been harsh in our relationships, this Thursday is a good day to make amends. We do not have to lavish anyone with expensive gifts but rather the appreciation we have for them and their presence in our life. But let’s use the toned-down energies of today prior to the ratcheting up and fairly intense energies of the next two days.
Friday, November 10th – Pontificating for What – Mercury, Saturn, Mercury Sagittarius. Friday continues with the Libra Moon, but the Libra Moon today makes no aspects to the planets. Mercury exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius [1:25 AM EST], a Sign of Detriment for Mercury where our thoughts and communications could be diffuse, rambling and scattered. With Mercury’s exit of Scorpio, we end the Stellium of three planets in Scorpio. The recent intensity can start to dissipate. Mercury squares Saturn. Although our tongue is less sharp and less caustic, we may have a greater tendency to say whatever pops into our mind rather than the more secretive nature and succinct expression we might have exhibited over the past three weeks. A problem of Mercury in Sagittarius, a Sign of the truth seeker, is a liability of pontificating, even to the point of being characterized as a know-it-all. And today could find us verbally jousting with someone, all the while feeling disappointed that we cannot sway the other person from their opinion to our opinion — all largely opinion without true basis in fact. Our moods can go through major swings today, at times elated, other times despondent. Significant decisions, any commitments might be better put off until we have greater clarity of thought, further information about the issue at hand, and our being less emotional in our likely responses.
Saturday, November 11th – Take it Easy – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Mars, Uranus. Saturday begins with the Libra Moon square Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon trines Saturn. Mars opposes Uranus. This Saturday suggests we slow things down and not react impetuously. The old saying ‘loose lips sink ships’ might come to mind if we blurt something out that would be better left unsaid. Today and the next few days suggest we act with extreme caution. Mindfulness and awareness are called for. Unfortunately, we are living during a rather unstable time with unexpected incidents, both positive but also negative, likely to occur. Surprising developments could trigger accidents. We need to be careful around machinery, avoid rash actions, and be wary of curveballs that might arise virtually out of nowhere. Reckless actions can lead to disastrous consequences. We may need to apply braking action to prevent us from going off the cliffs. Today is a day when it is necessary for us to take it easy.
Sunday, November 12th – Picking Up the Pieces – Jupiter. Sunday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today opposed Jupiter in the early morning hours. There are no other planetary connections today, although we can still be feeling the influence of yesterday’s Mars opposed Uranus. Caution is still required, although extreme actions are liable. Whatever issues may have occurred yesterday, this Sunday might be a day to pick up the pieces. Let’s tone things down and take this as a day to regain our energy, attain our balance, and hone our focus. Swings between eliminations and acquisitions could have us cleaning up and clearing out only to make space for more stuff and filling an emotional void by shopping. As the saying goes: ‘when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping’. Increasingly, it is essential that we get a handle on our own emotional swings during these times of great volatility. Otherwise, we are likely to be constantly swayed by the shifting conditions that often occur suddenly and unexpectedly. Reconnecting with the sanctity of nature can soothe our moods and realign us with the natural rhythms, even when those rhythms are often spiked and jagged and liable to upset our sense of normalcy and balance. Today is a good day to meditate, contemplate, get out into nature, and keep attentive to the larger picture, the perspective of natural unfoldings and not merely the viewpoint of human foibles.
