The astrology for this week of October 30th through the 5th of November of 2023 can have us enjoying surprising treats this Halloween that kick us into a feverish mid-week before we seek solace in our sanctuary space prior to the liability of distressing incidents over the weekend.
The week begins with us focused more on the partying atmosphere that Halloween promotes than attending to our significant matters.
An enchanting contact might occur as part of our Halloween treats. Let’s not make too much out of any serendipitous encounter, for if we get carried away by any glimmer of magic, we could turn our treats into tricks.
The mid-week may have us in a frenzy doing this, doing that, and with the disadvantage of chasing after illusions.
The latter part of this week can have us seeking refuge in our sanctuary and surrounding ourselves with family and trusted friends. Our sensitivity may be heightened. If we maintain clarity of perspective, we could feel out what is really going on, and dispel any deceptions perpetrated on us.
We might easily become infatuated with someone or with an idea we are considering pursuing.
Saturday has Saturn turning direct, ending its over five and a half months retrograde cycle. Whenever a planet changes ‘direction’, whether from direct to retrograde or from retrograde to direct motion, things can get a little squirrely.
This weekend calls for us to slow things down, avoid jumping to conclusions, and preventing conversations from turning into arguments due to fixed opinions.
The weekend may not live up to any expectations for a grand time, and this week can seem like another roller coaster week of ups and downs, but c’est la vie. The week has all the characteristics of life in the twenty-first century during a paradigm shift.
Monday, October 30th – Calm Before the Storm – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn. Monday begins with the Moon completing its transit of Taurus with the Moon sextile Neptune and the Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini, where today the Gemini Moon squares Saturn. This day suggests diligent planning before we kick off another roller coaster type of a week. With so many variations liable to occur this week, it would be wise for us to have our plans sketched out for our week ahead, and always with the recognition that during these times things can shift and change suddenly and dramatically. Failing proper preparation, we could find ourselves in overwhelm, spinning our wheels, and feeling as if we can’t effectively accomplish all that we need to get done. A little bit of forethought goes a long way to successfully navigating the currents.
Tuesday, October 31st – In the Flow – Venus, Uranus. Tuesday continues with the Gemini Moon but with the Moon today making no connections to the planets. Venus trines Uranus. Today is Halloween, a day when children and adults dress up, take on an alter ego, and suggest the alternative options of ‘trick or treat’. Even if we felt stymied yesterday and allowed ourselves to fall into a funk, today is a day when we could be operating on greased wheels. This is a day likely replete with all sorts of treats. With an otherworldly quality to this day, we might find some exciting and strange encounters occur. We may feel as though our so-called reality has been suspended and in the process a door to the unexpected has been opened. This day offers possibilities of extraordinary incidents, some of which might be fascinating indications of what could be if we would only be receptive and extend ourselves beyond our normal parameters. This is a day for us to keep our antennae up and be open to incidents of magic and mini-miracles. By getting out of our own way and getting out of our usual identity, life can present us with the asequential reality of this paradigm shift where things occur with no seeming rhyme or reason, just is.
Wednesday, November 1st – Glimmers, Not Forever – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn. Wednesday begins with the Gemini Moon trigging a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Gemini Moon squares Venus in Virgo and the Moon squares Neptune in Pisces. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer late in the day where the Cancer Moon trines Saturn. Even though we might have had glimmers of serendipitous encounters yesterday, the masks come off on this Wednesday. We might feel like Cinderella with the day after giving us a hangover and a sense of illusions or delusions from the night before. Our clarity might be lacking on this Wednesday with a liability of making too much out of chance occurrences yesterday and with us chasing after pipe dreams. We need to be wary of being all over the place on this Wednesday with very little focus and virtually non-existent clarity. Even if we carom from one thing to another to yet another early in the day, we might retreat into the safety of the familiar late in the day. Seeking solace in our ‘trusted and true’ may prove a healthy antidote to some of the otherworldly frenzy we experienced earlier in the day and on Tuesday. Incidents of mini-miracles may not be forever, but they are indications of the changing paradigm and our entry into asequential reality where things occur in the most inexplicable manner.
Thursday, November 2nd – Spiritual Retreat – Sun, Jupiter, Mars. The Moon continues its transit of Cancer on this Thursday with the Cancer Moon sextile Jupiter and the Moon trine both the Sun and Mars both in Scorpio. After what may have seemed over the past few days as either a mind-altering or a head-whacking experience[s] or both, this Thursday takes the energy down a notch or two. Even if we felt ungrounded and in an alternate reality over the past few days [thanks Halloween for the incitement], Thursday has us more centered, more in our own body, and more reflective of what we are doing and what appears to be going on. This Thursday is a good day to step back, reflect on what has been occurring, and contemplate our role in the macro of all the craziness going on all around. There are times, and especially these times of paradigm shift, when we need to go internally, go on a spiritual retreat, and center ourselves. Thursday and Friday of this week are two good days for us to withdraw into our sanctuary, have some alone time, and revitalize our true essence of being. Everything occurs from the inward to the outward, from the conceptual into manifestation, and from becoming into be-ing.
Friday, November 3rd – Listen to the Muse – Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Neptune, Uranus, Venus, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Jupiter. Friday is one action-paced day with various energy configurations in play. The Cancer Moon sextiles Uranus in Taurus, and the Moon sextiles Venus in Virgo. The Cancer Moon triggers a Grand Trine in the Water Element with the Moon trine Mercury in Scorpio and the Moon trine Neptune in Pisces. The Moon opposes Pluto at the end of the day before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo in the early morning hours of Saturday. The Sun opposes Jupiter, and Venus opposes Neptune. One can make the case for two wide Kite Pattern Charts, one connecting the Water transiting planets, the other connecting the Earth transiting planets. After yesterday, a day best served by stepping off the track and recentering oneself; this Friday can have us combining our intuitive sense with practical determination to get a great amount done. Even if we have felt out of sorts and even off track in our engagements recently, this Friday allows us to streamline our operations, be highly expeditious in our endeavors, and to get more achieved by listening to the muse and accepting the insights that often come to us when we are receptive and do not get in our own way. This Friday can be a highly productive and effective day. We do need to avoid getting cantankerous in the evening, lauding our talents, and getting fixed in our opinions. Relationships can suffer from lofty expectations.
Saturday, November 4th – Emperor with No Clothes – Jupiter, Mercury, Uranus, Saturn direct. Saturday has the Moon moving into Leo, but the Moon makes no aspects to the planets today until the Moon squares Jupiter late in the day. Mercury opposes Uranus, and Saturn turns direct [3:03 AM EDT]. After what had all the astrological configurations yesterday of an exquisitely primo day, Saturday could be a let down day. The key element of this day is Saturn turning direct [3:03 AM EDT]. Even though many of the delays and frustrations we may have encountered over the past six months can start to be lifted, the shift from retrograde to direct motion might make things convoluted until we get used to the shift in energy. Impediments to our forward movements could still occur on this Saturday, aggravated by one of my least favorite energy configurations, the adverse aspect between Mercury and Uranus. Communications can be off with liable effects on our discussions, traffic, computer technology and air travel. Patience and contingency plans are called for in what could be annoying circumstances. We may want to enjoy ourselves and have a good time today, but various problems may arise to get in our way. Let’s not get petulant or try to force issues but realize instead that we might have to take a more responsive tone rather than a proactive stance. We can’t always have it our way, but if we try to do so, we could experience a severe pushback. Today is better served by us getting acclimated to the shift in energy and dampening our willfulness.
Sunday, November 5th – Pushbacks – Lunar T-Square, Sun, Mars, Uranus. Sunday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square both the Sun and Mars in Scorpio, and the Moon square Uranus in Taurus. Early on Sunday in the US, we push back the clocks and return to Standard Time. The days grow darker. The magic of Friday can be a distant memory as we bumped through yesterday and contend with Sunday. Our desire to do what we want to do, the way that we want to do it, could hit all sorts of pushbacks. The costs might just be too great. Our plans may take longer to realize than what we had forecasted. And unexpected expenses or unanticipated variables could virtually stop us in our tracks. This is a day when we might feel as though trying to do what we want to do experiences any number of roadblocks. Even the change from daylight to standard time can create stress as we try to acclimate, an added worry built upon Saturn having just turned direct yesterday. Instead of trying to make things happen, let’s appreciate that we might need to alter our plans, take several things off the table, and find our pleasures in what is presented to us rather than what we intended to achieve. None of us like frustrations, but this Sunday suggests we heed the signals and go with what is available rather than hitting our head against the wall or getting so impetuous that we invite danger and accidents into our life. This is a day for us to slow things down and accept the circumstances rather than trying to determine the conditions.
