The astrology for this week of October 10th through the 16th of 2022 can be highly productive and pleasantly communicative, if we don’t get tripped up mid-week.
The week may be a little slow starting. We might engage a tug-of-war between our own personal wishes and our usual responsibilities. We know we have tasks to attend to, but we would prefer seeing the world as our oyster with us able to spread our wings, soar with the eagles, go wherever and do whatever we choose to do.
Mercury exits its own Sign of Virgo to enter Libra prompting a Libra Stellium as Mercury joins the Sun and Venus in the Venus-ruled Cardinal Air Sign. The Air Grand Trine is enhanced and strongly engaged during this week.
Conversations and discussions could prove insightful as we consider possibilities of which we were not aware and are introduced to means that would streamline our pursuits and assist us in working smarter rather than harder.
Much of our focus may be on our days ahead, but the mid-week could throw curveballs at us. Overconfidence might have us considering the most illogical, and quite possibly the most impossible, of pursuits. Our nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is engaged with the struggle between old and new, familiar and unfamiliar, safety and risk, all issues to challenge us as to which way to go and how to take our next steps ahead.
The latter part of the week can have us feeling at the top of our game. We may be feeling excited, confident, and spreading sunshine wherever we go. Time spent with other people could put a smile on our face and reenforce a sense of camaraderie. Good times with good friends. It’s wise to remember that our attitude both colors and steers our actions. If we are in a positive frame of mind, good things are likely to occur. In a negative state of mind, then bad things often happen one on top of another. It’s the law of attraction.
The weekend could have us tending to various matters around our home. An autumnal cleanup may be called for, as we clear the slate of the cumbersome and outdated.
All in all, this week is a good time for us to reach out of the darkness and appreciate the bounties of our lives and the friendships that enhance our living.
Monday, October 10th – Playing Hooky – Mars, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury Libra. Monday is Columbus Day, often known now as Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and the day of Thanksgiving in Canada. Whether we are celebrating the three-day holiday weekend or back at it with our regular routine, our preference today might well be to play hooky and do whatever catches our fancy. The Aries Moon sextiles Mars and the Moon squares Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus later in the day. Mercury exits is own Sign of Virgo and enters Libra [7:51 PM EDT], triggering a Stellium of three planets in the Cardinal Air Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Venus in the Venus-ruled Sign of Libra. This is a week when the Air Grand Trine is fully engaged. Ideas and discussions may be torrents of thoughts and options with everything seeming beautiful and readily possible. If we can put our responsibilities on the back burner to attend to them at another time, we are likely to do so. And if we are dealing with our responsibilities, instead of working hard we might find ourselves hardly working. Let’s deal with the essential pulls for this day, but make sure we have time to chat up people and entertain all sorts of prospects.
Tuesday, October 11th – Special Connection – Sun, Saturn. Tuesday has the Moon transiting Taurus, but the Moon today makes no connections to the planets. The Sun trines Saturn reinforcing the Air Grand Trine. These are disruptive, tumultuous times when the official narrative has been ramping up the fear porn. First, we had a virus contagion whose death count would make the 1918 influenza pandemic with its estimated 25-50 million deaths and with some estimates as high as a 100 million death count seem minor in comparison. Then, we’ve had inflation soaring with costs of everything going up and putting a squeeze on virtually everyone. Then, economies teetering on collapse. And now the threat of nuclear war and human annihilation. Egads! Enough already! That’s why it is important for us to draw upon the comfort and support of those special people in our lives and not in a ‘misery loves company’ manner. No, these times call for spiritual warriors, those people who can see the silver lining and realize that out of the darkness the light is born. Today allows us to reach out of the darkness thanks to that special connection with someone. Discussions can focus on our future, our intentions and our plans, with a confidence and commitment of ‘brighter days through better ways’. One of the key elements of this paradigm shift is incidents of serendipity, of being in the right place at the right time, and those magical almost miraculous happenings. I know for myself I have been repeatedly staggered by serendipitous events during these recent months. I’m certain that most people have had the opportunity to see them as well. As the saying goes: “look and you will see.”
Wednesday, October 12th – Not Always a Bed of Roses – Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter. Wednesday has the Taurus Moon triggering our last year’s and this year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square with the Moon today conjunct Uranus and the Moon square Saturn early in the day. Later, the Moon sextiles Neptune and the Moon trines Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini early on Thursday morning. Mars squares Neptune, and Mercury opposes Jupiter. With an overabundance of confidence and a dash of impetuousness, we have to be wary of trying to force issues today. We might assume that what we want will be acceptable to all concerned. We may even have plans in mind but with little consideration of the ways and whys of our moving ahead. Although we are champing at the bit to make changes to our routine, we could find ourselves banging up against unresolved matters, or opposition to our plans, or ill-conceived ways of going about things. This is a day that demands we put on brakes to our self-absorption and to any impulsive actions. The liability to accidents cannot be discounted today, and it would be wise for us to slow things down, deal with any obstacles that might appear, and not rush forward into the new and different just because we are intrigued by the new and the different. Do we all have to be lemmings on parade?
Thursday, October 13th – World of Possibilities – Jupiter, Mercury. Thursday has the Moon moving into Gemini where today the Gemini Moon sextiles Jupiter and the Moon trines Mercury. We can start this day enthused about our projects and our involvements. We may feel that anything is possible. If we share our thoughts with someone, our confidence could win an advocate to our side and to our cause. While we might feel that ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’, let’s keep in mind that things are always easier in concept than in implementation or manifestation. Thursday and Friday are two days when we may entertain a wide world of possibilities, and why not? With these times of paradigm shift also indicating that things can occur in a most unexpected even magical manner, there is no reason to limit our considerations. On the contrary, these two days could reenergize us, help us step away from the craziness occurring in the world, and let us acknowledge that we still have the power of choice and the utilization of free will to guide our way forward with appreciation that we are co-creators with the universal unfolding and not the sole determiners of our trajectory forward.
Friday, October 14th – Castles in the Air – Lunar Grand Trine, Saturn, Venus, Sun, Neptune. Friday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Gemini Moon today triggering the Air Grand Trine as the Moon trines Saturn in Aquarius and the Moon trines both the Sun and Venus both in Libra. Late in the day, the Gemini Moon squares Neptune. Venus trines Saturn. The Air Grand Trine is heightened on this Friday and with it a torrent of ideas and discussions. People may be helpful with their suggestions as to how best for us to proceed with our own activities. We need to take everything we hear today with a grain of salt, including our own ruminations. This is a day when we can see everything as beautiful, nothing as impossible, and with a narcissistic sense that if we want it, we can have it. The liability to this ‘feel good’ day is any tendency for us to delude oneself. We have to be wary that we don’t set ourselves up with great expectations and a feeling of infallibility. It would be easy for us to create castles in the air about whatever we wish to pursue. Thursday and Friday are better suited to good thoughts, good feelings and with a tendency to have our head in the clouds, our feet nowhere near touching the ground. Let’s enjoy this day as a ‘mental health’ day, a day to enjoy the company of others and engage good times with good friends.
Saturday, October 15th – Exhausting Ourselves – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Lunar T-Square, Jupiter. The early morning hours of Saturday have the Gemini Moon conjunct Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer. The Cancer Moon today triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square Jupiter in Aries today, and the Moon square Mercury in Libra early on Sunday. We may have worn ourselves out over the past two days, and we could pay the price on this Saturday. Perhaps we have tried to do too much. Certainly, our mind is liable to have been racing, entertaining all sorts of possibilities and believing that nothing was too much for us. We could have started all sorts of things, sampled this, sampled that, but without completing much in the process. Our filtration systems might have been lacking as we allowed ourselves to believe that nothing was too much for us nor that anything was unattainable. Saturday can have us winding down like a spent spinning top. We may seek the refuge of home with the justification that it’s autumn cleanup and clear out time. Whether we do so ourselves, or someone imposes upon us, or responsibilities demand attention, the second half of this Saturday and Sunday could call a ‘time out’ to our flitting around and force us to attend to our home affairs.
Sunday, October 16th – Demands No More – Lunar T-Square, Mercury. Sunday completes the Cardinal Sign T-Square. Yesterday, the Cancer Moon began the T-Square with the Moon square Jupiter in Aries, and today the Cancer Moon completes the T-Square with the Cancer Moon square Mercury in the early morning hours. Although there could be pulls for us to engage with other people and dance to their rhythm, we might feel enough is enough. Thursday and Friday were geared to our social interactions, time when we could have enjoyed the company of others and had good times with good friends. Saturday shifted that energy, and today compounds the desire for us to shut the door, take time for ourselves, and recharge our batteries. We could be feeling as if someone just wants too much from us and that we need some alone time, ‘down time’ when we can concentrate on a good autumn clean up and clear out and keep the stimuli of diversions and distractions to a minimum. While Thursday and Friday could have thrown wide open the vast realm of possibilities, this Sunday has us consolidating and narrowing our options to the most significant and the truly purposeful. Even if demands are placed upon us, we are unlikely to accept them or engage them.
