The astrology for the week of August 1st through the 7th of 2022 offers us glimpses into the promises of the future — technological tools to better our world and offset the dystopian nightmare of the collective narrative.
The week begins with us able to virtually move mountains, if we would keep focused, accept our role as co-creators with the universal unfolding, and believe in better days through brighter ways.
During the paradigm shift from linear reality into asequential reality, it is essential that we be mindful and aware and willing to notate the signs offered along the way. Part of the vital component to these disruptive times is the fact that things can change suddenly and dramatically and often without a moment’s notice. And so it could be during the early part of this week.
Although we may be willing ‘to boldly go where no man has gone before’ [as borrowed from Star Trek], not everyone is likely to share our enthusiasm for the adventure but might instead attempt to dash our hopes and our dreams. Many people prefer the complacency of discontent, adopt a passive reactionary state of being, and are willing to put up with even excruciatingly painful situations with the beseeching prayer and demanding hope for things to eventually change. Few are the pioneers who accept responsibility for their life’s journey and are willing to take the path less traveled.
The Lunar T-Squares mid-week and the Grand Cross at the end of the week can place restrictions on our forward movement, but possibly only momentarily. Demands of our responsibilities, other people’s needs, our own insecurities may all hamper our advances down altered trajectories. But progression, no matter whether it seems like evolution or devolution, cannot be stopped.
The weekend is a time to bolster our faith, even if it be only blind faith, spread our wings, and explore the excitement of these times. We just have to take braking action now and then to avoid missing the signs along the way and not be oblivious to the opportunities that lie up ahead.
Monday, August 1st – On All Cylinders – Neptune, Lunar Grand Trine, Mars, Uranus, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins this week, and the first day of August, with the Virgo Moon opposed Neptune and the Moon triggering an Earth Grand Trine with the Virgo Moon trine both Mars and Uranus both in Taurus and the Moon trine Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra to usher in Tuesday morning. Mars conjuncts Uranus. With August upon us, many of us may be looking at getting back on track of our regular affairs. Back-to-school sales might ring in the sense of the impending new school year with some schools and colleges starting classes or orientations in the next two weeks. This day can be a highly productive day. We just have to avoid being distracted or whining about a summer of fun that is winding down and may not have fulfilled our expectations. There’s still time for summer blow-outs, but this Monday can be too productive to lose to fantasies or disappointments. This Monday is a day when we could accomplish a great deal, take care of our responsibilities and make sound preparations for our routine engagements. We might discover some steep bargains on necessary items, and we can determine the most effective ways to achieve successful results. We do have to keep our antennae up to take advantage of any unexpected developments and not rush the river where our intensity could have us moving assertively ahead, all the while being oblivious to the magic of the moment.
Tuesday, August 2nd – Beyond the Veil – Jupiter, Sun, Venus, Uranus, Mars. Tuesday has the Moon entering Libra where today the Libra Moon opposes Jupiter, and the Moon sextiles the Sun. Venus sextiles Uranus early in the day, and Venus sextiles Mars late in day, both Uranus and Mars transiting Venus-ruled Taurus. This Tuesday is a day for us to be collaborative, appreciate that some of our understandings may come from the most unexpected sources, and take advantage of any ‘ah-ha’ moments we might experience. If we avoid being self-centered and self-focused, we could become aware of alternatives and options to our present course of actions. Monday and Tuesday provide the energy for us to virtually move mountains in the most stream-lined manner while drawing upon technology and someone’s input to advance our interests. Let’s not get locked in by our old mindset but rather think outside the box and be open to receive understandings and assistance from sources other than our own. The beauty of these times is heightened perception where we can see beyond the appearance, where we can pierce the veil of Maya, and be privy to the magic and mini-miracles of this paradigm shift into asequential reality. Things can occur in the most inexplicable ways. We just have to have our antennae up and be willing to employ new methods and consider alternatives to our present trajectories. Increasingly, life is becoming like a scavenger hunt, where clues are provided along the way, and life becomes continually shifting twists and turns rather than a linear, straight line progression. What a wonder-filled world we can live in if we would be open to the clues along the way and look beyond the veil.
Wednesday, August 3trd – Sorting Through – Saturn, Lunar T-Square, Venus. Wednesday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today trine Saturn and the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Venus in Cancer today and with the Moon square Pluto in Capricorn early Thursday morning. These times are not for the faint of heart. On the contrary, we are called upon to engage our spiritual warrior. With various curveballs thrown at us — inflation with rising costs, recession with economic contractions, necessary hard choices with our disposable income, food and supply shortages, threats of war and violent actings out, peoples’ anger – depression, the crazy antics of the powers-that-be — we may feel like a stranger in a strange land and question whether we have the wherewithal to cope with the ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’. The truth is that we can handle whatever is thrown at us, for as the wise saying suggests ‘we never get more than we can handle’. We just have to pick and choose what to engage and with whom to do the dance. Despite the penchant in our society to play the victim card, this is not a time to let down our guard, throw up our hands in despair, or roll over and accept a passive response to whatever is thrown our way. Even if we are oblivious to history and historical past experiences, the reality is that people have had it far worse than anything we might be experiencing at the moment. Our life path calls for the exercise of free will both in regard to the directions we take and even more importantly the attitude we adopt on our journey. We can encounter naysayers along the way and while we might note their concerns, we do not have to be stymied by the anxiety and fearfulness of someone’s concerns, even if the weight of obligations and responsibilities are thrown at us to forestall our moving ahead. Today is a day to filter through our involvements and see what is truly working for us and those situations that are merely a drain. Our forward movement may be slowed or stymied on this Wednesday through Friday, but any delays or frustrations can be seen as braking actions as we sort through and evaluate our trajectory and the best ways for us to move forward.
Thursday, August 4th – Back in Gear, If We Want To – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Mercury Virgo. Thursday begins the day with the Libra Moon completing its Cardinal Sign T-Square. Yesterday the Libra Moon squared Venus in Cancer, today in the early morning hours the Moon squares Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon sextiles Mercury, which today also has Mercury exiting Leo to enter its own Sign of Virgo [2:58 AM EDT]. Although we are facing mounting costs thanks to the inflationary spiral, we could be highly astute with our finances today, might find appealing bargains, and able to cut our supposed needs down to essential requirements. With Mercury entering the Mutable Earth Sign, we now have an Earth Grand Trine through mid-October as Mercury then the Sun and then Venus transit Virgo and with Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus with Mars also in Taurus until the 20th of August. No matter our schedule or our commitments, we may turn our attention back to our responsibilities and usual obligations. Whether we are still on vacation mode, and why not with August traditionally being the month of summer getaways, or are back in the grind, we can hear the beckoning of usual routines and ordinary obligations. Back-to-school sales, preparation for the start of school or school orientations are possibly within two weeks away, and our energy can take on a more serious tone. Not that we are likely to put a kibosh on our summertime activities. We are more likely to find a balance between our serious mundane projects and our re-creation through relaxation and reinvigoration. Life is about finding the balance between work and play and not to be obsessive about either.
Friday, August 5th – Honing the Edges – Lunar Grand Cross, Sun, Uranus, Mars, Saturn. Friday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today triggering a Fixed Sign Grand Cross as the Scorpio Moon squares the Sun in Leo, the Moon opposes both Uranus and Mars both in Taurus, and the Moon squares Saturn in Aquarius. Last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is engaged as we try to determine what’s old and worth keeping and what’s new but solely a worthless distraction. This day could prove somewhat frustrating with various starts and stops, delays and frustrations, and curveballs thrown at us. Although the game of semantics is engaged by the powers-that-be by their asserting that things are going great and now trying to assuage our concerns and anxieties that they had so ably stoked previously, we might become increasingly aware of the bite that inflationary costs are having, not only the food prices and fueling costs but other increasing costs that have not been as evident. As I write this, a neighbor called astounded by the significant jump up in their electricity costs. Yes, inflation is upon us, demanding that we be increasingly astute with our finances, conservative in our expenditures and more resourceful in our choices and actions. We may not like feeling pressured to be more mindful and aware, but these two qualities are keys to a successful navigation of the present currents and foreseeable developments. It is a trite but true saying that ‘adversity builds character’. Pity the souls who have reveled in the era of entitlement.
Saturday, August 6th – Close to Perfection – Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury. Saturday continues with the Moon transiting Scorpio with the Moon today triggering a Water Grand Trine as the Moon trines Venus in Cancer and the Moon trines Neptune in Pisces. The Moon sextiles Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius where late in the day the Sagittarius Moon squares Mercury. With the influence of the Grand Trine, this day may seem otherworldly. Our relationships might sing and our interactions with other people could seem close to idyllic. Whether physically by travel or figuratively in our mind’s eye, this Saturday allows us to step out of our mundane reality into a wondrous fantasyland. We could feel spiritually invigorated with a sense that no matter the nonsense that seems to be occurring in the world, there is an underlying rhythm and pace that is natural in the universal unfolding. We might feel as though nothing can go wrong as we step away from the madding crowd. Even if we find ourselves in the midst of the hurly-burly world, we are likely to feel as though we have stepped above it and entered a far more serene and spiritually attuned universe. It is essential that we acknowledge the magic and the miraculous in this paradigm shift and not limit the IS. Like little children, let’s embrace the awe and wonder without trying to either analyze or critique what is going on. Today is a day to breathe in the vibrancy and love of life, a day for us to appreciate that Everything is Beautiful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0a45z_HG3WU
Sunday, August 7th – In All Its glory – Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Sun, Venus, Neptune, Mars, Saturn. Sunday has the Sagittarius Moon triggering a Fire Grand Trine as the Sagittarius Moon trines Jupiter in Aries and the Moon trines the Sun in Leo. Venus trines Neptune, and Mars squares Saturn. Yesterday we had the Moon triggering a Water Grand Trine and today the Moon triggers a Fire Grand Trine. The two components of yesterday’s Water Grand Trine, Venus and Neptune, are exactly trine today. This weekend is a time when we can bolster our faith, recharge our batteries, and find the impetus to fully engage our desire for self-realization. Our spiritual characteristics could combine with our physical essence to virtually move mountains today. What we have to be wary of is our liability to get in our own way, assume that we are in total control of situations, put on blinders and forcefully move ahead while being oblivious to signs along the way that might suggest alterations to our speed or to our trajectory. The challenge for each of us is to accept our personal destiny and accept our role as co-creators of our path with the universal unfolding. We are living during magical times of miraculous incidents when things may change suddenly and dramatically and inexplicably, and often without notice. We do need to have faith in the process, even when it seems the darkest. Individual resilience and a quest for better days could provide the impetus for us to embrace these times as a dynamic transformation in our personal lives and in society. It would be wise for to remember the wise proverb: “It’s always darkest before the dawn.”
