The astrology for this week of June 6th through the 12th of 2022 suggests we get our head out of the clouds and keep our feet firmly planted on the ground.
We have come off the three-week Mercury retrograde cycle this past Friday, but we are still in the ‘shadow’ of the Mercury retrograde until Saturday the 18th when Mercury returns to the degree at which it had turned retrograde.
This week does allow us to accomplish a great amount if we stick to the specifics, take things step by step and not get diverted by grandiose schemes, our so-called castles in the air.
During the early part of this week, it would be best to keep our nose to the grindstone, take care of what needs to get done, all with the realization that Mercury now direct will provide greater clarity regarding what seems to be going on.
The latter part of this week is good for brainstorming, discussing ideas with trusted confidantes both regarding how best to proceed presently and how to establish foundation stones for future projects. We just have to be wary that we don’t push the envelope and commit ourselves to outlandish engagements.
Although we could be encouraged and even carried away in our discussions about possibilities, due diligence as we enter the weekend would help us to focus on the truly meaningful and discard the irrelevant.
The weekend may prove dicey. Whatever we have planned for the weekend might not come to fruition. Curveballs and unexpected developments can give validation to the concept that ‘if you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans’. Flexibility is called for.
The weekend suggests we take things down a notch or two, maintain our patience, and not get fixated on what we want the way that we want it. Let’s keep in mind the wise Taoist saying: ‘bend like a reed or break like an oak’.
Monday, June 6th – Dithering About. The Moon moves into Virgo early on this Monday to start this week, but the Moon makes no aspects to the planets today. Perhaps we are feeling this past week’s whipsaw of Mercury turning direct on Friday and Saturn turning retrograde on Saturday. We may feel as though we are doing the two-step of one step forward, two steps back; two steps forward, one step back. While we might not have gained our rhythm or pace quite yet from these two major energy shifts, this Monday is best served dealing with what needs to get done. By concentrating on what lies right in front of us, taking care of our responsibilities and taking things step by step, we can achieve successful results. We just have to be wary that we don’t set for ourselves a major agenda that could prove unattainable but rather accept the liability of delays and frustrations along the way. If we do not plan out our day and in pencil with a large eraser, allowing for necessary alterations as we proceed, we could find ourselves just dithering about on this Monday.
Tuesday, June 7th – Right Place, Right Time – Venus, Uranus, Sun. Tuesday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today trine both Venus and Uranus both in Taurus, and the Moon square the Sun. There are times when things just seem to fall neatly into place. This Tuesday might be one of those times. By means of skillful time management, streamlining our operations through innovative techniques or thinking outside the box and doing things differently and more effectively, we can plow through any number of tasks in the morning hours. We might even amaze ourselves as to how much we can get done when we focus on the specifics and adhere to the sentiment expressed by 19th century poet Emily Dickinson: “If you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves.” While we can be highly productive in taking care of business, someone impressed by our abilities and speed of efficiency could call upon us to help them out with their problems. If we choose to go there, let’s assist in advice or suggestion rather than taking on their issues, for otherwise we might get embroiled in someone’s dysfunctionality or drama. This is a day when we may be in the right place at the right time, but it would be wise for us not to veer off into situations beyond our own wheelhouse.
Wednesday, June 8th – Restless on my Mind – Neptune, Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. Wednesday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today opposed Neptune, and the Moon triggering an Earth Grand Trine as the Virgo Moon trines Mercury in Taurus and the Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra where late in the day the Libra Moon opposes Jupiter. Whether we accomplished a great amount yesterday regarding our own matters or we got ensnared in someone’s issues, our sleep state Tuesday night, Wednesday morning could prove fitful. The old conundrum of ‘woulda, coulda, shoulda’ may have us revisiting the day’s events with a sense of what we might have done differently, more effectively. If we don’t give into emotional self-recriminations, then we can blend our intuitive sense with rational analysis to devise a best practices approach and make the waking hours far more productive and successful. After any tossing and turning that may occur during our sleep state, we can awaken with a thrust of energy, an ability to focus on the truly significant, and virtually move mountains by means of a best practices approach. This Wednesday is a day when we can accomplish more through utilizing due diligence and determined persistence. The latter part of the day could have us more engaged socially, whether in a party of one or a group situation. We just have to be wary that our personal needs and the interests of another do not conflict. Let’s keep in mind that people right now can be overly assertive, bordering on the narcissistic, with a sense of ‘what have you done for me lately’.
Thursday, June 9th – Me or You – Mars, Sun. Thursday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today opposed Mars to start the day, and the Moon trine the Sun to end the day. The push – pull between our personal agenda and that of someone else could put us at odds, as it may have done last evening. If we are working with someone on a project or involved with them in an activity, there might be a tug-of-war regarding starring role. It would be wise to keep in mind the quote of a plaque President Ronald Reagan kept on his desk: “There is no limit to what a man can do or where he can go if he doesn’t mind who gets the credit.” Each of us brings our own talents and set of skills to any involvement. Collaboration affirms what Aristotle wrote: “the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.” Even if there are personality tussles and disagreements early in the day, things can be sorted out later in the day, and our interactions with other people can become far more pleasant. The Libra Moon trine the Gemini Sun late on this Thursday is the beginning of an Air Grand Trine completed tomorrow by the Libra Moon trine Saturn in Aquarius. Even if we become self-protective to the point of being overly self-assertive early in the day, our defenses can fall as we appreciate that relationships are not an either / or situation but rather a blending of two distinct personalities and two varied skill sets.
Friday, June 10th – Summer Fridays – Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury. Friday has the Libra Moon trine Saturn in Aquarius, completing the Air Grand Trine that began with the Libra Moon trine the Gemini Sun late on Thursday. The Moon later squares Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio. Mercury trines Pluto. We can have our plans in mind for this Friday with the intention of bringing matters to a quick conclusion in order to start an early weekend. Even if not officially the summer season, we’re feeling the summertime vibe with the expectation of extending our weekends with an early Friday getaway, whether we get away or just try to bring completion to routine matters in order to have more ‘down time’. We do have to watch that we’re not forging ahead without addressing necessary details. Even if we are rushing and operating on instinct rather than a slow, methodical approach, our mind is sharp and attuned to the essentials, even if unnecessary particulars fall by the wayside. Our patience may be strained if anyone is not up to our same pace, so it would be important for us to cut everyone, including ourselves, a good deal of slack. Things are likely to get done without adding to the stress.
Saturday, June 11th – Hey Big Spender – Uranus, Venus. Not much is happening energetically to begin this Saturday. It’s later in the day when the Scorpio Moon opposes both Venus and Uranus both in Taurus. And Venus conjuncts Uranus. This Saturday could be slow starting or engaged with errands and spring cleaning. As the day progresses, anything goes. With a desire for fun and excitement, we have to be careful about the costs involved. Impetuous purchases and insatiable desire can rack up some hefty expenditures. Let’s keep in mind that we don’t always have to spend a lot to get a great deal of enjoyment from our activities. Unexpected developments might spark alterations to our plans. Serendipity is in play, and we may hear from or run into fascinating encounters. Saturday evening is likely to find us in the right place at the right time. Increasingly, we are bearing witness to the magic and mini-miracles of the paradigm shift, and this Saturday could be one of those times. If we keep our antennae up and are flexible and adaptable to the changing currents, we might experience some most interesting ‘ah-ha’ moments.
Sunday, June 12th – Under my Skin – Neptune, Pluto, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Mercury. Saturday might have had us experiencing some remarkable and fascinating moments, and in our tendency to ‘let the good times roll’, we are liable to expect this Sunday to provide us more, more, more. Life is not like that, where we assume that once we are in a certain stride it will continue on indefinitely. And certainly not during this paradigm shift from linear, sequential reality into the asequential reality where things occur in a most random and unanticipated manner. We get moments and brief episodes of wonder and amazement, as we might have experienced on Saturday. This Sunday is quite different. The Scorpio Moon today trines Neptune and sextiles Pluto, but these pleasant energies are bookended by a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Scorpio Moon square Saturn in the morning and the Moon opposed Mercury late in the day. Responsibilities and previous commitments can determine our plans for the day and dampen our sense of being in some sort of wonderland where thrilling occurrences unfold of their own accord without our making them happen. If we would appreciate brief moments of exhilaration and ‘magic’ as part of our life’s tapestry, then we can draw upon such incidents to get us through the slog of many of our daily experiences. Relationships today could prove a little irritating. We might not be able to communicate to other people the wonders we have experienced, but neither do we have to grouse about our normal circumstance when compared to those moments of the fantastic. Like a beacon of light, moments of mini-miracles offer us a way forward and affirm the twists and turns of our life’s journey instead of the conditioned belief in a straight line progression.
