We enter the winter season on the 21st at the Winter Solstice as the Sun exits Sagittarius to enter Capricorn [10:59 AM EST]. The winter season begins with a Stellium of four planets in the Cardinal Earth Sign as the Sun joins Mercury, Venus and Pluto in Capricorn.
Even if the news and societal conditions try to put a damper on our holiday spirits, we are likely to have none of it. The Eeyores and Debbie Downers may have held sway with all that’s wrong in the world and all the problems in their personal lives, but all their whining and incessant complaining may be drowned out by the spirit of the season with its gentle encouragement of love, peace and happiness.
The narrative may be one thing, but the universal energies can be something else.
We might approach this winter with a serious disposition, but our faith and sense of something beyond the mere mundane could give us a sense that everything is beautiful in its own way.
Our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is exact on Christmas Eve on the 24th. This is the third and final exact square of Saturn Uranus. We may feel the influence of the Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus in 2022 and through the early part of 2023, but the intensity is likely lessened.
Curveballs might try to disrupt our Christmas plans, but we have come a long way over the past two years. We have grown through our own personal transformations, may have gained greater inner strength and can better appreciate that while we might have to deal with disruptive conditions, we have also become more aware, mindful, and adept at being flexible and adaptable to changing circumstance.
The end of December and the end of 2021 employs our abilities, our faith and our determination to journey forward in the manifestation of our dreams come true. We can bring solid closure to the ending year and prepare our template for the year ahead.
The 25th is Christmas Day and has Venus conjunct Pluto. Even if we are obliged to carry out holiday get-togethers where we would prefer to be a no-show, this day allows interactions with people who might prove highly beneficial with ideas and suggestions as to how we can best accomplish our goals. Discussions can lead to a greater understanding of our situation and provide us the encouragement to carry on with projects we intend to develop in the year ahead.
Mercury sextiles Neptune on the 26th. We can blend our intuitive sense of what could be with a focused rational sense of what is. Combining foresight with critical analysis allows us to determine all the likely steps along the way from conception through implementation to manifestation. We also have the ability to cut through the mishigas, all the craziness that has been and continues to be perpetrated on us by the powers-that-be. This is a time when we have the opportunity to pull back the curtain of the Wizard of Oz screen to see the little guy punching the buttons.
There is an awakening.
Many of us may have been fooled once, perhaps even twice or thrice, but we are unlikely under these energy configurations to be fooled again. The last hurrah.
Late on the 28th [11:09 PM EST], Jupiter exits Aquarius to enter Pisces, a Sign that traditionally Jupiter ruled and now shares co-rulership with Neptune. These two planets in their ruling Sign accentuate the energy of Pisces. Many of us can regain our spiritual strength, others may draw upon falling into line with their ‘religious’ beliefs, even if their religion is more a secular belief system than a spiritual or philosophical one. Our sense of compassion may well be heightened during this journey of Jupiter through Pisces into early May of 2022 and again in the mid-autumn of 2022. With the Water Sign of Pisces intensified, we might also experience exponentially increased precipitation during localized storm fronts triggering flash floods or major snow accumulations. We do have to be wary of phantoms and specters and other things that go bump in the night or disruptive forces during the day.
We close out the month with three of the Capricorn-transiting planets conjunct. Mercury conjuncts Venus on the 29th, and Mercury conjuncts Pluto on the 29th. The 29th also has Mars sextile Saturn.
We end December able to wrap up loose ends of the year that we do not want to bring into 2022 and also prepare for the year ahead. Our resolutions may be both conclusions of 2021 and intentions for 2022.
We are serious about our goals and intentions, and no matter what the powers-that-be might throw at us, we are committed that there’s no stopping us now.
We come into the New Year of 2022 with our resolutions strong to make this year a better year than the past two. With the Capricorn Sun trine Uranus in Taurus we are committed to dramatic changes with a greater willingness to allow the universe to do its thing with us as a willing accomplice to adjust to sudden, unexpected changes.
With four planets in Capricorn, 2022 begins with attention to detail. We might hear of further restrictions, lockdowns, and regulations that hamper individual choice and personal freedom all under the guise of the collective good, but our willingness to go along to get along may be threadbare thin.
While fear and needed compliance have worked for the past two years, the narrative seems to be falling apart. The assertion by scientific officials that vaccination would eradicate the threat of the virus or getting the virus is diminished both by the need [constant, continual?] of booster shots and by the breakthrough cases of those fully vaccinated coming down with the virus. And the virus seems to have never-ending mutations with various virus strains plaguing the global community. Add to these concerning matters the increasing scientific evidence that the vaccine has liable adverse side effects especially impacting the heart, and the trust, much less the belief, in the narrative seems waning at best, if not fodder for conspiracy theories of a global depopulation scheme by a small, authoritative elite.
Whatever the true reality might be in our bizarro world presently, a divide between those who are accepting of consensus opinions abetted by the official narrative and those who are adamant in their choice emphasizing their personal freedoms may be growing and especially as we move through this winter season.
With starting the year committed to our resolutions to engage brighter days through better ways, we are looking ahead rather than in the rearview mirror of the past.
The 2nd of January has the Capricorn New Moon [1:33 PM EST] and Mercury exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius [2:10 AM EST]. With the Capricorn New Moon in orb of a trine to Uranus and with Mercury entering Aquarius, a Sign co-ruled by Uranus, we are serious about looking to our future and willing to use different means, new techniques and drawing upon streamlined technologies to advance our causes.
Perhaps as a result of the continuing din about pandemics, viruses and all sorts of situations that give us goosebumps, we have determined our best course is to be adaptable and flexible, accept the changes occurring in the world that are impacting our personal lives, and consider new trajectories for ourselves in the most effective and expedient manner.
Even if we question the integrity of society’s institutions, all of which seem faltering if not disintegrating, it is important that we maintain our own integrity, the moral high ground. There is an acceleration occurring, and it would be suggested that we keep in mind what John Lennon wrote in his 1970 classic song Instant Karma!:
Instant Karma’s gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon you’re gonna be dead
The ability to blend our intuitive sense with a practical approach focused on specifics could be heightened on the 5th of January when Venus sextiles Neptune. Someone might come to our aid, whether they provide a different perspective or apply elbow grease in helping us achieving our aims. It doesn’t always take a village, but an objective viewpoint with support and encouragement is a welcome addition for us to be productive and effective in dealing with what needs to get done.
The first half of January allows us to engage our resolutions and implement the necessary means to accomplish our plans.
The interplay of the Capricorn-transiting planets with Neptune allows us to consider and think before we act, and once strategized provides us the wherewithal to be highly effective and productive in a timesaving manner.
January 8th has the Sun conjunct Venus and both in orb of a sextile to Neptune. These times call for faith and trust in our inner knowing. No matter what the ‘newspeak’ might herald, we may have become less trusting of the appearances, presentations and hype foisted upon us. Perhaps there has just been too much flip-flopping with our being told one thing at one time and then something contrary at another time. Maybe circumstantial evidence has given lie to what is being told to us.
Increasingly, we can find that we are dependent primarily on what we believe, what we intuit and what we perceive. Despite any opaque nature to matters, our vision based upon an inner instinct could be laser-like, able to strip away the fog and confusion to get to clarity and the true.
The 5th through the 10th of January has the Capricorn Pisces interplay with Venus sextile Neptune on the 5th, the Sun conjunct Venus on the 8th, and the Sun sextile Neptune on the 10th.
It would be wise for us to use this period to reflect, contemplate and consider what is really going on both in the outside world and in our own personal realm. We may feel ever more impelled to get back on track of our individual journey and move forward with our personal destiny.
The world and its goings-on are but a backdrop in our life’s unfolding. The more we accept responsibility and accountability for our actions and decisions, the straighter our path will be. We shall more fully engage a proactive stance, be one with the natural unfolding, and accept being co-creators with the universal energies in its various twists and turns, ups and downs. We are living in disruptive and tumultuous times, during which things can change suddenly and dramatically, all with the intention of our awakening and eventual ascension in awareness, consciousness.
What we do have to be wary of during these times and in our life journey always is an arrogance of narcissism where we assume that life revolves around us with our being ever needful of attention and admiration and little consideration of what is going on outside our own self-focused orbit.
That issue could arise on the 11th of January when the Mars in Sagittarius squares Neptune. While we had excellent energies to lay down solid foundation stones over the previous week, we might feel that our abilities transcend even mastery. Either we could assume that everything will fall neatly into place with little effort on our part and believe that what we want and the way that we want it will be, or our efforts could prove half-assed as we gloss over significant particulars, all the while trying to do ever more. This is a time when we need to check arrogance and narcissism at the door. Humility is called for in order to avoid the pitfalls of impetuousness.
January 14th has the first of this year’s Mercury retrogrades as Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever could go wrong can go wrong’ is back in effect. This Mercury retrograde begins with the Mercury in Aquarius in orb of a conjunction with Saturn. Our hopes and dreams may seem dashed, or at least delayed, to the authoritative parade rainers. A sense of ‘been there, done that’ can be strong, as the fear machine seems ratcheted up for everyone to comply under the threat of social ostracism or worse.
Interesting that as some people start to question the narrative, find their voice and emphasize personal choice the hammer comes down to restrict freedom under the guise of safety and protection. Fear is a phenomenal motivator forcing people to go from being proactive and self-affirming to being reactive and self-denying.
While the powers-that-be could overplay their hands by drawing upon the same patterns from the old playbook, people may determine their own components of well-being in regard to personal health through diet, nutrients, exercise and composure. I found it interesting that during the lockdowns of the past two years, there seemed to be two different approaches that people took. Devoid of the many diversions and distractions that had made up their lives, many people used the social isolation as a spiritual retreat and became highly creative no matter the format or the self-expression. Other people bought fully into the fear and ratcheted up their anxiety by solely pacing the floor and wringing their hands awaiting the specter of death.
One would think that having survived, or even thrived, from previous restrictions the ability to cope would be sharpened and critical analysis would question the blanket statements propagated. We’ll see.
The 16th of January has the Sun conjunct Pluto. No matter what might be going on in the world at this time, we can be going through our own personal transformation, doing an inventory of our life, considering what is essentially important for us and what we need to be rid of. Not only can we focus on what we determine to be the truly significant, but we can lay down the foundation stones of our present and our future during this time. We might even engage the statement that ‘when the going gets tough, the tough get going.’
The Cancer Full Moon on the 17th of January [6:48 PM EST] with the Moon opposed the Sun engages Pluto with the Moon opposed Pluto and the Sun sill in orb of a conjunction with Pluto. Transformation is the key to this time. Like a volcano with pent-up energy percolating below the surface, each of us might experience a stirring, a welling up of emotion and intention. Although such feelings may be unfamiliar, even uncomfortable, this can also be a time when we face our self-worth issues, draw upon our faith, and determine to move forward with ‘god’ on our side. This is not a time for the weak of spirit, who may just fold under the pressure, a pressure that like the compression of rock creates the diamond. Either we can falter and fold, or we can ascend and radiate our light. Our choice, always our personal choice.
Uranus turns direct on the 18th [10:27 AM EST], ending its five-month retrograde cycle, and a day before the Sun exits Capricorn to enter Uranus-ruled Aquarius. Once again, we step into the paradigm shift of unexpected developments, where things can occur in a most mysterious, magical and miraculous manner. Not everyone likes changes, but we are deep into them, so it would be suggested that we be flexible, adaptable and ‘go with the flow’, even when that flows feels like life-threatening rapids.
The Sun’s entry into Aquarius on the 19th [9:39 PM EST] shifts the energy. The Capricorn Stellium of three planets in the Cardinal Earth Sign ends, and the Sun creates a Stellium in the Fixed Air Sign as the Sun joins Mercury and Saturn in Aquarius.
The energy switches from a regulated, restricted quality to a focus on independence and freedom. We may be looking toward our future than reliant on our past. We are likely to seek greater autonomy in our movements and in our actions. We are less willing to dance to someone else’s tune but rather dance to our own rhythm and at our own pace.
With the Sun conjunct Mercury on the 23rd of January our thoughts engage the wide, wide world of possibilities. We can attend to our responsibilities and obligations, but our interest lies more in the far beyond than whatever is under our feet. Communications with other people may make us aware of options and alternatives we had not considered. We can stretch our wings even if only in our mind’s eye. As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote: “Whatever you think you can do or believe you can do, begin it. Action has magic, grace, and power in it.”
The 24th of January has Mars exiting Sagittarius to enter Capricorn [7:53 AM EST], reengaging the Capricorn Stellium as Mars joins Venus and Pluto in the Cardinal Earth Sign. We now have two Stelliums of three of more planets in a Sign — one in Capricorn, the other in Aquarius.
The heightened influence of Capricorn and Aquarius allows us to blend foresight with practical application. We can create the template for our future goals. We are also able to deal with any limitations without feeling quashed. Perhaps we have become more adaptable to changing circumstance, better able to deal with the crazies without getting sucked into their craziness, and more adept at transforming situations to our advantage.
The week-long Aquarius Stellium is short lived as Mercury retrogrades back into Capricorn [10:05 PM EST] on the 24th, adding greater strength to the Cardinal Earth Sign and the authority of the powers-that-be. The winter doldrums may be setting in. People can be on edge and we have to be wary not to be overly critical or take any slights or hurts personally. This is a time to keep in mind what I often suggest: “check the source and check their agenda.”
Over the past two years, we have been under a great deal of stress. There may be no magic wand that makes things better, only we can do that by our change of attitude and change of perspective. The Greek myth of the bird the phoenix offers us the hope, promise?, that from the ashes we can rise ever higher.
The 28th of January has Mercury conjunct Pluto. Our thoughts and ideas might be laser-like with the ability to strip away the fluff, focus on the essentials of a situation and come up with a best practices approach to realize our goals. We might continue with people being on edge, hypercritical and highly judgmental. Instead of engaging in a pissing contest, we would be better served concentrating on what we need to get done. The dysfunctionality in society is liable to be apparent, reinforcing the age-old proverb of “if you want something done right, do it yourself”.
Whatever we focus on at this time, we can be intense in our concentration and able to virtually move mountains.
Venus turns direct on the 29th [3:46 AM EST], ending its retrograde cycle that has gone on since mid-December. We might feel more social, possibly less isolated, even if there are restrictions in place that limit our social gathering. We could consider a personal makeover with our eyes towards the eventual spring and to get us out of any winter funk. Our social engagements, if we decide to engage, can be more for what benefits us rather than truly emotionally felt.
The 30th of January has the Sun square Uranus. We could feel uncomfortable in our own skin. Many of our hopes and wishes might seem dashed by the limitations we encounter or a critique that reveals our goals to be little more than a pipedream. It would be wise for us not to ‘throw the baby out with the bath water’, for it could be our own personal discontent that paints everything we are and what we are doing as a murky, muddy gray. We may need to give things time, allow our thought and our perspective to be merely a tilling of the soil, not yet ready to be planted or fertilized.
We come into February on the 1st with the Aquarius New Moon [12:46 AM EST] and the beginning of the Chinese New Year, this year being the year of the yang black water tiger.
Directly impacting the next two weeks up to the Leo Full Moon on the 16th and with the Chinese New Year casting its influence on the year ahead, this New Moon impels us to consider a wide variety of options with a solid determination to bring them to fruition. With the influence by orb of the New Moon configuration square Uranus, not all the vast possibilities are likely to develop. By our own choice or by circumstance, there can be a whittling down of potential prospects. The filtration process is important for us to concentrate on the truly meaningful with the recognition and appreciation that what we consider to be meaningful might not be meaningful in the eyes of the universal energies and what the universal energies portend for us.
One of the outgrowths of the viruses, lockdowns and social distancing has been our ability to hone our intentions, strengthen our focus, and concentrate on the truly meaningful. Whether consciously or subconsciously, we have all gone through major transformations. Hopefully, we have grown in awareness, developed mindfulness, and moved beyond the need for countless diversions into ascension of our spirit and the means for our soul expression.
This Chinese New Year of the water tiger augurs a dynamic year with unexpected changes and surprising developments. Similar to the British war-time affirmation of ‘keep calm and carry on’, we shall need to maintain our inner strength to successfully deal with intense times during this year while we stare into the eye of the tiger.
Mercury turns direct on February 3rd [11:13 PM EST], ending its three-week Mercury retrograde cycle. We now have a chance to correct any mistakes or misdeeds we might have committed over the past three weeks as Mercury was retrograding first through Aquarius and then through Capricorn.
We are still in the ‘shadow’ of the Mercury retrograde until Mercury reaches the degree at which Mercury turned retrograde, February 24th. We can certainly move forward, even make significant decisions or important actions, but we do need to be careful and certain that we are dealing with the details and addressing the specifics as we go along.
A sense of having our car’s transmission in neutral and gunning the engine could be how we feel on February 4th. Mars sextiles Jupiter, and the Sun conjuncts Saturn. We are also dealing with the shift in energy caused by yesterday’s Mercury shift in direction, which always makes us a little wobbly for a day or two as we get our rhythm and determine our pace. We may be in high gear to get things going, believe that we have the universe on our side, assume that we are on target of our own personal destiny and journey, and yet we could also feel stuck as though we don’t have all the necessary components or resources to move forward. Although we might want to tamp down our enthusiasm, that does not mean that we stall out or flood our engine. On the contrary, by keeping in mind that every journey begins with a first step, we can move forward with our plans, fully aware that if we choose to change trajectories or decide that our intentions are ill-conceived, then we can always make the necessary alterations. Nothing is gained by running in place. In this age of the paradigm shift, we need to keep in mind that we are no longer in control of situations but rather co-creators with the universe unfolding with its bag of magic and miracles to ease our way.
Any delays or restraints we might encounter on the 4th are released on the 8th when Mars trines Uranus. As if affirming the truth to the statement ‘where there’s a will there’s a way’, we can draw upon stream-lined ways and innovative means to advance our personal interests. We may be gung-ho to step away from the collective opinion, even more so if the ‘group think’ is still attached to wringing their hands and cowering in fear. We are likely to have none of it. We’ve seen the movie, no longer engaged in the sequels.
While we might have been in turbo drive from the Mars trine Uranus on the 8th, the 11th of February allows us to fine tune, hone, and refine our efforts. Mercury conjuncts Pluto providing us with a laser-like focus to strategize and devise the most effective means to accomplish our goals.
This second week of February is not a week to lose to mindless distractions or unnecessary diversions. We may begin new projects, fast forward projects already initiated, but the force is with us. While it might be preferable to put the horse before the cart and plan our course of action prior to setting off, that might not be the way the universe is asking us to play it this go-round. No worries.
Whether our fast out of the gate was on track or not with the Mars Uranus trine, we can get on track with the Mercury Pluto conjunction. Little will be lost, for with every project it has both a life of its own and can necessitate some tweaking as it develops. And so it may be for us in this second week of February.
The 14th of February has Mercury moving back into Aquarius [4:54 PM EST]. In so doing, Mercury re-energizes the Aquarius Stellium as Mercury joins the Sun and Saturn in the Fixed Air Sign. We now have both a Stellium in Aquarius and a Stellium in Capricorn. This blend allows us to have ‘our head in the clouds and our feet planted firmly on the ground’. We can attend to our responsibilities all the while that we are looking to our future goals. We are able to find a balance between what we wish to achieve and the circumstances and conditions in which we find ourselves. We may have to hew to the party line, but we are looking at emphasizing our freedom and independence within the set of parameters.
The Leo Full Moon on the 16th [11:56 AM EST] with the Sun opposed the Moon also has Venus conjunct Mars. We may be feeling at the top of our game, but any narcissistic tendencies are lost to consideration and care for those significant people in our lives. Our emotions may be heightened, but our emotions can be our love and appreciation for the important people in our life. There is no battle of the sexes going on, for we are far more integrated with our masculine and feminine sides. This would be a time us to consider a personal makeover, shopping purchases, all in preparation for the spring season ahead with its promises of renewal, rebirth, our own personal renaissance.
A good time feel during this mid-February period might be heightened by the Jupiter sextile Uranus on the 17th. We could make some necessary changes to our environment and to our beliefs that are more reflective of the transformations we have been going through. We might feel guided, our compassion further engaged, as we look to make our own personal world an idyllic paradise. It does not matter what is going on in the world outside our space, for we are evolving a sanctuary in both our inner space and our external place. In the quiet of our own reflections, our faith can be fortified with a gentle understanding that things are unfolding in their own time and in their own way. Transitions are not always easy, for letting go is often hard. Having faith in the process supports us in understanding that things do eventually work out.
On the 18th, the Sun exits Aquarius to enter Pisces [11:43 AM EST], the last Sign of the Zodiac wheel. The Sun’s change in Sign brings closure to the Aquarius Stellium and creates a Stellium in the Mutable Water Sign as the Sun joins Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces. Our sensitivity is ratcheted up ever more so, and our inner life accentuated. No matter our religious or philosophical beliefs, we may better understand that there is something far beyond the mere mundane of human existence. Quietly and in reflection we are able to pierce the veil of Maya, get beyond the illusions of appearance and matter, and truly feel the spirit and essence of being. This begins a time of year when we reflect on what has gone before, a karmic period when we could feel receptive to a greater understanding of our life’s mysteries influenced by the backdrop of the parameters of earthly conditions and circumstance. We are less attached to the displays of the superficial and shallow, more connected with what lies beyond the surface.
Whether consciously or subconsciously, we may feel impelled to put spirit into action when Mars sextiles Neptune on the 23rd of February. As if divinely guided, we might have the sense that we can accomplish a lot and do so on greased wheels where everything comes together easily and swiftly.
It is important to keep in mind that the two Stelliums, one in Capricorn and the one in Pisces, are in sextile of one another. This period is a time when we can draw upon foresight and practical application to create a focused and grounded itinerary towards our goals and realizing our ambitions.
The third week of February offers us the ability to move things into place neatly and easily, so long as we don’t run away with ourselves and get in our own way. The Mars Venus conjunction that we had at the time of the Full Moon on the 16th is engaged by the Mars sextile Neptune on the 23rd, followed by Venus sextile Neptune on the 24th.
We can easily move our interests ahead as if on greased wheels with few impediments in our way, followed by our smoothing over any rough edges to present our involvements in a graceful manner and with precision to detail.
The only impediment that could arise at this time would be the Mercury square Uranus on the 24th. This aspect is my least favorite for air travel, and other issues associated with this energy configuration include travel difficulties, technology problems with Internet and computer equipment, misunderstandings and miscommunications, and misdirection. Either we could have too much information being input into our brain or our own need for control might have us shooting ourselves in the foot.
If we are able to harness this high frequency transmission in a way that we can be open and receptive to incoming information, we could think outside the box, streamline our operations, and be more effective with less expenditure of energy.
Key for us during these times of the paradigm shift is not to get in our own way, alter our behavior and our attitude, and be willing to work WITH the energies rather than trying to control them and manipulate them to our will.
We come into March with all flags flying, although possibly out of the sanctuary of our home.
The Pisces New Moon on the 2nd [12:35 PM EST] has the Sun Moon conjunction sextile Uranus and in close orb of a conjunction with Jupiter. Mercury conjuncts Saturn. The Stellium in Capricorn of Venus, Mars and Pluto are all in close conjunction with all three exactly conjunct on the 3rd. With the New Moon influence continuing for the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 18th, this two-week period can be a highly expansive time when we incorporate necessary changes in a practical and functional manner to allow for a broadening of our reach.
This two-week period is also the latter part of the Pisces transit of the Sun, and it would be wise for us to use this time to consider this past year, do an inventory taking of what we want to bring into the new astrological year when the Sun enters Aries on the 20th and what we want to leave behind.
The one downer of gliding easily into a widening of our interests and involvement with things that truly speak to us is the Mercury Saturn conjunct. The question as to whether we have the resources and talents to realize our goals might taunt us. The actions of the powers-that-be could daunt our efforts. Our reliance upon the ‘tried and true’, although once tried possibly no longer true, may put on blinders and keep us from engaging the new and the different.
If we don’t fall prey to our own personal fears and anxieties, or those of the collective or those of the authorities, we are likely to discover that we can twist and turn, shift and adapt, to the changing currents or the parameters as they are.
The 5th of March has the Sun conjunct Jupiter exact. We might feel buoyed by our faith. We could be more in our own personal space, a sanctuary where the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune and by their human counterparts can hardly reach us. An enthusiasm, even exuberance, with an appreciation that each one of us has our own personal journey can fortify us to move ahead along our individual pathway.
The Capricorn Stellium ends on the 6th of March as both Venus and Mars exit Capricorn and conjunct one another in Aquarius. The entry into Aquarius by Venus [1:30 AM EST] and Mars [1:23 AM EST] creates a Stellium in the Fixed Air Sign as they join Saturn and Mercury in Aquarius.
Again, we have two Stelliums, one in Pisces, and one in Aquarius. Aquarius and Pisces are the two universal Signs of the Zodiac with both having an otherworldly awareness and a link to the cosmic consciousness beyond the limitations of present human beliefs.
Mundane matters may seem secondary as our vista opens up to a great beyond. No matter the limitations of the physical body or the edicts of authorities tied to a collective unconsciousness, our understanding of realities far beyond usual human existence may be enhanced, and evidence even presented. We might even be witness to extra-terrestrial citizens, entities that in times past might have been referred to as aliens, a term no longer politically correct.
The 9th of March has Mercury exiting Aquarius to enter Pisces [8:32 PM EST], increasing the influence of the Pisces Stellium as Mercury joins the Sun, Jupiter and Neptune in the Mutable Water Sign.
Mercury is in Detriment in Pisces, for the reasoning, rational analytical process gives way to an emotional, diffuse, even confused thinking.
Our moods may be strong, and people could be doing a great deal of sighing, an unconscious reaction both to the ending of an annual cycle and a feeling that there is something far beyond human earth-life existence and yet seemingly out of reach.
If we would control our moods, then our intuitive sense can truly come forward. An inner knowing allows us to cut through the hype, the presentations, and the spin to feel what is really going on. We can also be comforted in the acceptance that life is a continuum, constantly changing like the ocean’s waves with its crests and troughs. When we leave the earth plane, we are merely crossing into another dimension.
With the heavy Pisces influence, there can be times of intense precipitation during this March. Storm fronts might stall drenching areas in rain or snow and triggering flash floods with consequent mudslides and washaways.
The liability of chronic health issues could raise the specter of other variants of virus coming forward. Perhaps the powers-that-be will revert to their playbook with suggestions that further jabs will inoculate and lessen the severity of the effects of the virus variants.
Accountability and responsibility may be lacking in society and in its institutions, but they are characteristics for each of us to engage in order to truly integrate [integrity] for our individual growth, self-development, and consciousness ascension.
The Sun sextiles Neptune on the 13th of March, and we may feel the very essence of our being with a commitment to better express our spirit and our soul. As we stand up, shine our light, it is like a pebble in a pond with ripple effects that go out and either impact people dramatically or subtly but influence people nonetheless. How people react to us is irrelevant when we stand in our own strength and integrity.
The 17th of March is St. Patrick’s Day and has Mercury sextile Uranus. Although this day is often a rowdy day of good times with good friends and a generous portion of corned beef, cabbage, and boiled potato with a pint or two of Guinness, in the quiet often comes the answer. By engaging meditation, reflection, contemplation, quiet or just being open, we might experience ‘ah-ha’ moments when a sense of understanding comes to us. We may have startling insights and surprising news, any of which contribute to a greater understanding and a clue in the ‘right action’ of our journey ahead. We could experience that like St. Patrick we can rid ourselves of the snakes of our own terror, anxiety and wrong thinking.
The Virgo Full Moon on the 18th [3:18 AM EDT] has the Moon opposed the Sun and the Moon trine Pluto and the Sun sextile Pluto. The conceptual and the practical could blend neatly together with everything done with no excess and with incisive attention to detail. This is a highly productive time and comes as we near the end of the winter season with us about to begin a new astrological new year at the time of the vernal equinox on the 20th.
We close out the winter season on the 19th with Venus square Uranus. Relationships could prove dicey with people stuck in their opinions, unwilling to hear alternate views, and pontificating their beliefs. With the spring season about to commence, we might consider what we want to bring completion to and what we want to be rid of, which may even include a friendship or connection. We may end this astrological year looking to do a cleanup and clear out, but let’s avoid throwing ‘the baby out with the bath water’.
Winter 2021-2022… from the dark the sun emerges…
