The astrology for this week of December 6th through the 12th of 2021 might reaffirm the sentiment of ‘living for the weekend’.
The first half of this week may be a hurly-bury of aggressive actions and mixed messages.
The week starts off pleasantly enough, especially if we have our head down and concentrate on what needs to get done. We can be highly effective and productive so long as we maintain our focus. Maintaining our focus could prove a tall order as the week proceeds.
Our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is engaged and peppered with illusionary thinking and ill-conceived actions. If ever there was time for a ‘time out’, Tuesday and Wednesday are two days when we might want to slow things down and avoid important decisions or significant commitments.
Not only can things go awry. We may also try to do too much to the point of overwhelm or shoddy attempts.
Despite the craziness of the mid-week period, things slow down at the end of the week, and the weekend could be a time to step off the track, not pressure ourselves, and relax and reinvigorate and enjoy ourselves.
This week might have us in a world of confusion, but I always suggest that confusion is the starting point of wisdom, thanks to the fact that what has worked for us before no longer works for us in the present. We may have relied upon the ‘tried and true’ in times past, but we now realize that the tried is no longer true. As a result, we can consider options and alternatives that we might not otherwise have taken into account. We have a blank slate on which we can draw anything and involve ourselves in anything.
Monday, December 6th – Moving Mountains – Uranus, Neptune, Venus, Pluto, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with the Capricorn Moon and the Moon today trine Uranus, the Moon sextile Neptune in Pisces, the Moon conjunct both Venus and Pluto both in Capricorn, and the Moon sextile Mars in Scorpio. The Moon goes Void-of-Course at the end of the day for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius early on Tuesday morning. Mars sextiles Pluto. This is not a day to waste. If we would consider how we can streamline operations and employ time management skills, we could virtually move mountains and accomplish a great deal. This day calls for strategic planning, and once we are clear about what we wish to achieve we can push forward with determination and great force to get things done. We might have to clear a path, rid ourselves of clutter, but like a steamroller we are then able to assertively move ahead on whatever we set our sights. This may be the most productive day of the week for practical hands-on work, taking care of our responsibilities and dealing with our usual tasks. The more we get done today, the less flummoxed we may be over the next two days when the energies become squirrely.
Tuesday, December 7th – What Could Be, What Is – Saturn, Mercury, Neptune. Tuesday has the Moon moving into Aquarius where today our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is triggered by the Moon conjunct Saturn today and the Moon square Uranus tomorrow. Mercury squares Neptune. Tuesday could have us considering early in the day a wide range of possibilities but with our feet hardly touching the ground. We are liable to get wrapped up in concepts and abstracts with little concern for the practical reality of situations. We could easily launch into ’la-la-land’ with a hope and expectation that what we want we shall have. The conditioning of entitlement has led us down a garden path, but this day might also later reveal brambles and pitfalls along the way. We have to be wary of extremes in our emotions and attitudes, virtually a manic – depressive whipsaw. While we can see wonderful prospects for ourselves, we are also liable to feel that such promises are far beyond our reach, resulting perhaps in a crash of emotions, a sense of futility and deep despair. This Tuesday calls for us to rein in our emotions, take control of our moods and find a balance between illusory thoughts and restricted actions. No matter the conditions or circumstances in which we find ourselves, we are never given more than we can handle. And during this paradigm shift, things can occur in a most unexpected manner and what we might term magic and miracles. Let’s not despair, but also let’s not be irrationally exuberant. Balance and humility are called for to combine our dreams with a grounded approach and at the same to allow the universe to work in its most extraordinary manner.
Wednesday, December 8th – Where Lies the Gold – Uranus, Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter. Wednesday continues with the Moon in Aquarius with the Moon today completing the Saturn Uranus square with the Moon conjunct Saturn yesterday and the Moon square Uranus early on this Wednesday. The Moon also sextiles both the Sun and Mercury both in Sagittarius. Mars squares Jupiter. Unexpected situations might arise that throw our plans out of kilter. We have to be open to unanticipated variables that could alter our course of action today. Any hiccups may actually prove beneficial, for our tendency and liability today would be to head off full steam ahead with unbridled confidence but without fully considering where we are going or how we are getting there. If we would restrain ourselves, count to ten, and let the dust settle before we are off like a whirlwind on this Wednesday, we might find that we are better equipped and more confident of what we want to do but without the arrogance of forcing issues. Discussions can help us take off blinders of seeing only what we want to see and what we assume to be straight ahead of us and could provide the peripheral vision where a greater breadth of vision offers options and alternatives yet to be considered. There is value in slowing down the race and taking time to reflect and contemplate.
Thursday, December 9th – Encouraged with Resourcefulness – Jupiter, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. The Aquarius Moon on this Thursday conjuncts Jupiter and the Moon squares Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces. Any sense of irrational exuberance that might have been stoked and encouraged yesterday could continue on this Thursday as we begin our day. The belief that we can force matters according to our will might have a boomerang effect and hit us on the backside. Much of the frazzled intensity of this week does die down as the day proceeds. We are likely to take on a more reflective overtone, and it would be wise for us to look back and see where any impetuous actions may have caused ‘wrong’ decisions and inappropriate courses of actions. When our back is against the wall, there is the liability of our acting without thinking, of reacting immediately to the situation without considering the ramifications of our actions, much less the unintended consequences of our actions. Today and the next two days are days for us to go back over whatever we have done earlier this week and see if we need to do some form of remediation and rectification. We may have been operating from the seat of our pants over the past few days with the high intensity operating aided by a certain willfulness on our part. With the energy dying down, we are now better able to see the consequences of our earlier actions and determine whether we need to correct, rework or just tweak what we have already done.
Friday, December 10th – Appearance, Reality – Uranus, Sun, Neptune. Friday has the Pisces Moon sextile Uranus early in the day. Later in the day, the Moon squares the Sun, and the Moon conjuncts Neptune. When we trust our instincts, are willing to consider matters beyond our usual perspective, and draw upon an objective viewpoint with peripheral vision, we can be pretty much spot on regarding what is truly going on. With all the hype, flip-flopping, promises unfulfilled and lies told over the recent past; we have had the ability of sharpening our incisive qualities to dissect what is truly going on beyond the appearance and the images presented to us. Each of us, every one of us, may have become far more astute in delving below the surface and ascertaining the true reality of what is occurring. This Friday offers us the combination of remarkable insight and receptive intuition to put our finger on what is truly happening and then proceed with what needs to get done in a productive and streamlined manner. We do have to be wary that the latter part of the day doesn’t have us resting on our laurels, satisfied with our accomplishments and in the process dropping our guard. These times call for, even demand, that we continually maintain awareness and mindfulness and the willingness to adapt and change in accord with shifting conditions. There are times when we all need an escape from the craziness of the world, and this Friday evening could be a time for us to take that escape hatch. The evening hours can have us indulging in excess, seeking escapes from the vigilance necessary, and so it would be wise to postpone any major decisions or commitments during the evening hours of this Friday.
Saturday, December 11th – Laying Down the Foundation Stones – Venus, Pluto, Mercury, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. We often think of the weekend as a time for us to relax and re-create. This Saturday would be lost if we only engage in fun events and good times. Of all the days this week with the possible exception of this past Monday, this Saturday can be highly productive with us able to put down the foundation stones on our goals and ambitions. The Pisces Moon sextiles both Venus and Pluto both in Capricorn, the Moon squares Mercury, and the Moon trines Mars before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries later in the day. Venus conjuncts Pluto, and Mercury sextiles Jupiter. With the Moon completing its monthly transit through the Zodiac today as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and the Moon beginning a new monthly cycle as the Moon enters Aries, this is a day for completions and resolutions. And we have the wherewithal to get a lot done today. As in olden days when people helped out each other, we can draw upon assistance and give assistance in accomplishing more and in a shorter period of time than it would take just one person. We may also be feeling upbeat and inspired with the recognition that the more we resolve outstanding matters we shall have the time and space to start on new projects, go down new trajectories. The one thing we have to watch out for is trying to do too much, having too many irons in the fire, and going from one thing to another to still yet another without bringing any one thing to conclusion and completion. If we would have our ‘to do’ list in hand, we could maintain focus and check off things as we go down our list. This Saturday is a highly productive day and one when we might appreciate our talents, our abilities, and our connections.
Sunday, December 12th – The Way Ahead – Saturn, Sun, Neptune. Sunday has the Aries Moon sextile Saturn. The Sun squares Neptune. If we tied up loose ends and completed certain matters yesterday, then today allows us to concentrate on new projects and take the path less travelled. Where a problem could arise is our having a blank slate from which to draw upon. One of the opportunities and a challenge in itself during the recent period of lockdown [and future lockdown?] has been how we chose to deal with changing circumstance. Many of our distractions and diversions were no longer available to us. The what of who we are, our identity based upon what we do in the world, was diminished and we had to stare down the chasm of who we are. Many people went on spiritual retreat, did their inner work and explored avenues of creativity, while other people merely paced the floor, wrung their hands repeatedly, and aligned themselves to being pawns and mere observers of life rather than being participants. This Sunday can have us in a state of confusion to start the day wondering what to do, where to go, and whether to be proactive or reactive. Although not many of us like blank slates, once we dither about early in the day, we could actually feel impelled to head out, initiate new projects or get together with friends, taking a more proactive approach rather than being just an Eeyore or a Debbie Downer.
