The astrology for this week of September 6th through the 12th of 2021 opens the door to a most productive and upbeat two-week period thanks to the influence of Monday’s New Moon.
The week begins with Labor Day, the last day of the long holiday weekend in the US that signals the unofficial end to the summer season. And what a day it could be. We might want to have a final summer blowout with good friends, but we are also able to balance our enjoyment with thoughts as to how best to pull off our greatest ambitions.
The Virgo New Moon late on Monday triggers an Earth Grand Trine, imprints the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 20th, and sets the stage for us to be focused and attentive to both our physical well-being and our mundane affairs.
With the constant fear mongering about the virus, first with COVID-19 then its subsequent variants of the Delta, Lambda, Mu and whatever else is new, we are bombarded with the need for testing, injections, and possible boosters through time immemorial. If we put our trust and faith in the narrative, a narrative that has shifted and changed in regard to protocol and effectiveness, then we may be rolling the dice and also putting ourselves in a passive, accepting position.
With the Virgo New Moon, perhaps we can take responsibility for our own well-being with an acceptance to employ proper hygiene, engage exercise, and develop a healthy diet. We can change our attitude and our routine and accept the wise suggestions in the proverb: “physician, heal thyself”.
The Virgo New Moon also triggers incidents of serendipity, those situations where it is not so much us making things happen but rather being in the right place at the right time and being open to unexpected developments that allow us to grease the wheels. This two-week period may give greater evidence of the paradigm shift, of our move into asequential reality where things occur in the most inexplicable ways. We just have to be open in order to receive. Welcome to the mystery, magic and miracles of a new world order.
Drawing upon the impetus of the Virgo New Moon, we could use the early part of the week to get back on track with us firing on all cylinders and being highly effective in whatever we choose to take on.
The mid-week period finds us highly collaborative. Plans for future projects can have us drawing upon input and suggestions to best develop our intentions. Once inspired, we have to be wary not to withdraw from our social interactions and into ourselves.
On Friday, Venus exits its own Sign of Libra and enters Scorpio, a Sign of Detriment for Venus where we are liable to become more secretive, possessive and jealous, as though protecting our own by circling the wagons.
The weekend would be a good time to do an end of summer cleanup and clear out. We may have our plans in mind as to where we want to go, but it would be wise that we lighten our load of the outmoded and no longer useful.
While the end of the week and early weekend can feel somewhat compressive, like an accordion we might find on Sunday our tendency towards contractions shifts into expansion with a desire to spend quality time with our special someone.
This week is one powerful week if we aren’t too hard on ourselves or raise our expectations too high but rather be accepting of a little help, maybe even a lot of help, from… the universe.
Monday, September 6th – Better than This – Virgo New Moon, Sun, Uranus, Mars, Pluto, Venus, Jupiter. Monday is Labor Day in the US, the last day of the long holiday weekend that signals the unofficial end to the summer season and the unofficial start to autumn. And what a day this can be. The Virgo Moon conjuncts the Sun at the Virgo New Moon [8:52 PM EDT] and both the Sun and Moon trine Uranus. Pluto is the higher octave of Mars and today Mars trines Pluto. The Earth Grand Trine is engaged and amplified with all three Signs of the Earth element [Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn] highlighted today and influencing the next two weeks. Add to a most practical and productive augury the fact that the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are in trine today, and we have a Monday, a start to the week, and the signature for the next two weeks that is hard to beat. This is a day when we can have our head in the clouds and our feet firmly planted on the ground. Social interactions are likely highly pleasant with interesting suggestions and collaborative input encouraging the formulation of our future plans. We may also feel driven, no matter the circumstances in the seemingly and ever increasingly craziness in the world-at-large, to forge ahead with determination and perseverance and with an appreciation that we can change our trajectory and our means as circumstances warrant. Does it get better than this? Hardly, and it would be suggested that we use this day and the next two weeks to put the pedal to the metal and move assertively ahead. Now is not a time to overly second guess ourselves or fall into a ‘poor me’ syndrome of lacking in self-esteem. Every journey begins with a first step, and if we are willing to take that first step, we are likely to find the universe is on our side as we journey ahead.
Tuesday, September 7th – Strategize & Implement – Neptune, Pluto, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today opposed Neptune, the Moon trine Pluto, and the Moon conjunct Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra late in the day. This can be a highly productive day. Whether we began to implement our plans yesterday or merely considered them, today is a day to put our spirit into action. It is important we think before acting today. By envisioning what we wish to accomplish and how best to get things done and not getting distracted by the wide realm of limitless possibilities, we could strategize a best practices approach and then forge ahead with determination and persistence. This is a day for us to prioritize our activities and work with time management tools to be highly effective and get a great amount done. Yesterday may have had us productive but more likely enjoying the dying embers of our summertime with fun events. After feeling refreshed from the holiday weekend, we have the energy to go virtually non-stop today. Later in the day, the energy shifts, and we may use the evening hours to get together with a special someone or engage people in conversation about what is going on with them and some of the projects we are planning to engage.
Wednesday, September 8th – Good Vibes, Good Feelings – Saturn, Mercury. Wednesday has the Libra Moon trine Saturn and the Moon conjunct Mercury. This Wednesday can be a highly pleasant day for conversations and get-togethers. Everyone seems to be collaborative and interested in what is going on with other people and less self-absorbed. Discussions may center around plans, goals and group interactions. Some people might decide to stand up for what they believe in. There are no issues with people in a one-on-one, but there could be some people who feel that authorities are overstepping their bounds. If we avoid drawing a line in the sand, then there is more of a likelihood of a conciliatory resolution with accommodations for those who might not agree with edicts being handed down. The more we can create win-win situations, the less contentious and divisive matters are likely to be. This is a day to seek peace and acceptance of individual’s personal beliefs and opinions even if they run contrary to our own. To borrow from Taylor Swift: “haters are gonna hate”. We just need to shake it off, not personalize their anger, and maintain a sense of equilibrium and serenity in our own space.
Thursday, September 9th – Juggling Possibilities – Pluto, Jupiter.
Thursday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today square Pluto and the Moon trine Jupiter. We are approaching the 11th of September and the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Twin Towers in New York, and as a consequence the media are likely to be ramping up the remembrances and the emotions. This Thursday we may be called upon to help someone out with their tasks and obligations. We might have to put our own responsibilities aside. Let’s keep in mind that the next two days could be better served in doing an inventory taking and a cleanup and clear out rather than dealing with pressing demands. Even if we get called upon to assist someone with their problems, let’s not get totally sidetracked. By prioritizing what we wish to accomplish before the weekend, we can both take care of what we need to do and also help out someone else. The evening hours would be a good time to interact, for our engagements could also provide us ideas and encouragement for projects we wish to pursue in the days ahead. A lively time to end the day will help offset some of the dampening spirits that can go on over the next two days.
Friday, September 10th – Back at It – Venus, Saturn, Venus Scorpio. The early morning hours of Friday has the Libra Moon conjunct Venus. The Moon then goes into Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon squares Saturn. Venus exits its own Sign of Libra to enter a Sign of its Detriment, Scorpio [4:39 PM EDT]. The Scorpio Moon today and tomorrow triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square and our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square with the Moon square Saturn today, and the Moon opposed Uranus tomorrow. Friday is a day when we might focus more on what we need to be rid of rather than engage what we want to pursue. With the media banging the drum of death and calamities and the drumbeat increasing in both volume and intensity, we need to close ourselves off to all the negativity being perpetrated on us. We have the storm systems and floods with their death and destruction, the spikes in cases and deaths from the various variants of a virus, the displacements of people from their homelands and the surge in migrations, the twentieth anniversary of the 9-11 calamities and the recent loss of US troops in Afghanistan, the rapid inflation and economic pressures; all contributing and with even more indications to the evident decline of the American Empire. Despite a liability of viewing the landscape as an unfolding dystopia, it is essential that we keep in mind that we are going through a major transformation, a paradigm shift, and that the old must die before we can bring in the new. Let’s try and see the opportunities in the challenges, the blessings in the strife, and recognize that by our consciousness and awakening we can be an antidote to all the craziness and negativity in the world today. It’s not merely a matter of holding on, but rather being the light that dispels the darkness.
Saturday, September 11th – Out of the Ashes – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Jupiter, Sun, Neptune, Pluto. Saturday is the 20th Anniversary of the 9-11 destruction of the Twin Towers in New York and the loss of almost 3000 lives that day. This Saturday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square as the Moon opposes Uranus and the Moon squares Jupiter. The Scorpio Moon triggered our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square starting yesterday with the Moon square Saturn yesterday and the Moon opposed Uranus today. To offset what can be a grim reminder of twenty years ago, exacerbated by the loss of 13 US service people in Afghanistan less than two weeks ago, the Scorpio Moon sextiles the Sun in Virgo, the Sun trines Neptune in Pisces, and the Sun sextiles Pluto in Capricorn. While there can be an amplifying of our emotions, aggravated by both a collective and personal sense of loss, it would be wise for us to draw upon our faith, even blind faith, to appreciate that out of the ashes, similar to the mythological bird the phoenix, we have the opportunity to rise ever higher and ascend in our consciousness. Let us mourn our losses but realize that there can be better days ahead through our transformation, the alchemical process of turning base metal into gold, transmuting our ego personality back into our spiritual essence.
Sunday, September 12th – Lifting our Eyes to the Far Horizon – Mars, Saturn. Early Sunday has the Scorpio Moon sextile Mars. The Moon moves into Sagittarius where today the Moon sextiles Saturn. After two days when we might have been in the doldrums but also days when we could have done a major dose of summer cleaning, Sunday gives us the impetus to spread our wings, explore the far reaches of our personal world, and look on the bright side of life. There are times when each of us needs to go to the wailing wall, times when things get too much for us and when we feel overwhelmed by the vagaries of these turbulent, disruptive times. I always suggest that when we are feeling down to get an egg timer, set it for five or ten minutes, and then let fly in verbal expression all the problems and bad things we have to experience in our personal life. Once the egg timer goes off, I suggest that people wash their hands, wash their face, and change their attitude. This Sunday is a good day for us to wash our hands and our face and our attitude of all the sadness and wrongs we have been experiencing. Today is a day for us to engage an upbeat disposition and stretch our wings in order to fly and soar with the eagles. Instead of looking down, this Sunday is a day for us to look up to the furthest reaches.
