The astrology for this week of September 20th through the 26th of 2021 starts off with the light of the Pisces Full Moon, has the seasonal shift mid-week from summer into autumn, and becomes a little testy until we finish the week with a pleasantly social weekend.
The week begins with our sensitivity tuned up. Our intuitive sense can be strong. Visualizing what is truly important for us in the days ahead would be a good use of the Pisces Full Moon. We could strategize how best to proceed with an appreciation that we are often guided in our journey forward. Taking the time to affirm our faith with a belief in something greater than our personal self will reinforce that things do in deed work out. We just have to believe and be open to receive. Let’s keep in mind that we are going through a paradigm shift, a disruptive time moving us from sequential, linear reality into asequential reality where things can occur in a most unexpected manner — times of magic and mini-miracles. We just need to have the eyes of a child with wonder, awe and amazement and be open to receive with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to the shifting sands.
Mid-week could prove a little difficult. We can become too convinced in our own opinions, seek flaws in the opinions of other people, and be argumentative to the point of being contentious. This energy impacts the autumn season with liabilities of seeing what we want to see, believing what we want to believe. So much for critical thinking and due diligence, as both go out the window to our standing by our personal biases. We have to be wary that relationships don’t suffer as a consequence. The sense of ‘either you’re with me or you’re agin me’ can taint many a relationship during this autumn season.
We engage our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square towards the end of the week. We need to be conscious regarding our finances and our expenditures. Even if we have been totally oblivious, it will be hard to dismiss the ravages of inflation and shrinkflation.
The weekend offers a pleasant respite from the proverbial ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’. This weekend would be a good time to tie up loose ends of outstanding matters and to engage in social occasions, getting together with good friends and keeping the interactions light and airy.
Keep in mind that Mercury turns retrograde this next week for its three-week retrograde cycle that enlists Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever could go wrong can go wrong’. It would be wise to postpone important decisions and significant purchases while Mercury is retrograde.
Monday, September 20th – Reaping the Harvest – Neptune, Pluto, Pisces Full Moon, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter. Monday begins the week with the Pisces Moon conjunct Neptune, the Moon sextile Pluto and the Moon opposed the Sun at the time of the Full Moon [7:55 PM EDT]. Mercury trines Jupiter. Late in the day, the Moon exits Pisces and enters Aries to begin a new monthly transit of the Moon through the Zodiac wheel. This Monday is a day when we can draw upon our creative visualization, focus on our priorities, and rid ourselves of the extraneous in order to concentrate on the truly important. With the Mercury retrograde cycle beginning next Monday, this would be a good time for us to bring completion to significant matters. Our emotions are likely to be strong but with an upbeat, confident attitude. This is a day when we can ‘whistle while we work’ with a sense of great accomplishments and paring down the superfluous from our lives. This may seem like a ‘no nonsense’ day, but a good clean up and clear out makes way for new initiations. We are closing out the summer season and about to enter the autumn. Putting away some of our summer involvements would get us more in gear on getting back on track, addressing our responsibilities, and all under the changed parameters of whatever our new ‘normal’ might be.
Tuesday, September 21st – Collaboration Necessary – Mars, Saturn. Tuesday has the Aries Moon opposed Mars, and the Moon sextile Saturn. There are times when we might wish to go it alone, do our own thing and with little interference and with no suggestions from anyone else. We could start off this Tuesday bristling against any input other than our own considerations. As if taking machete in hand, we could feel like a pioneer carving our own path, determining our own itinerary, and going in the direction we choose. While self-starting is a noble attribute and one often lacking in today’s society, the idea of reinventing the wheel is a good example of stupid. We can benefit from the experience, expertise and suggestions of those people who have gone down a similar road before. While we may not want to feel reliant on anybody today, we might gain some valuable ideas in our discussions. There are times when collaboration works best with the likelihood of greater success with our own personal goals by drawing upon the support and advocacy of someone. This Tuesday could prove one of those days when what we wish to accomplish is made far easier by the assistance of someone rather than our going it alone.
Wednesday, September 22nd – Banging and Crashing Across the Threshold – Jupiter, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Autumn Equinox, Sun Libra. Wednesday has the Aries Moon sextile Jupiter and the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Aries Moon squares Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon opposes Mercury in Libra. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for ten and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus on Thursday morning. Mercury squares Pluto, and the Sun exits Virgo to enter Libra at the Autumn Equinox [3:21 PM EDT] to begin the autumn season. The signature imprint of this autumn influences the entire autumn season, and there can be a great deal of banging and crashing happening over the next three months. Relationships might be somewhat dicey today and over the autumn season. We have to watch what we say and to whom we say it.
As the musical group Buffalo Springfield suggested in their classic song For What It’s Worth:
“Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you’re always afraid
Step out of line, the man come and take you away”
The twentieth century philosopher George Santayana proclaimed “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
We seem to be reenacting a Nazi Germany scenario where people were encouraged to report their neighbors, friends and others who exhibited offenses against state regulations. As though deputized to enforce certain mandates, people are now taking it into their own hands to demand compliance. Already, disruptive and violent behavior are on the increase. This autumn signature suggests further impositions by those who feel they are on the side of ‘right’ to enforce the edicts of the official narrative. Awareness, mindfulness, and caution are keys to a successful Wednesday and to proceeding through the autumn. Relationships might suffer if we become pontificating and righteous in our own personal opinions. Let’s cut everyone, including ourselves, a great deal of slack. To borrow again from the Buffalo Springfield lyrics: “Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong.”
Thursday, September 23rd – Proceed with Caution – Saturn, Venus, Uranus. Thursday has the Moon moving into Taurus where today and tomorrow the Moon triggers our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square. The Moon squares Saturn today, and the Moon conjuncts Uranus tomorrow. Venus opposes Uranus. By Sign, we have a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon and Uranus in Taurus, Saturn in Aquarius, and Venus in Scorpio. Frustrations can be strong today, and we have to be wary that we don’t alleviate our distress by going out shopping. There is a trite saying that ‘when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping’. This Thursday is one of those days when we could easily succumb to impulse purchases trying to salve our feelings and adding both to our stuff and to our credit card balance. It would be wise for us to be judicious with our finances and our expenditures today. With an intention of tying up loose ends, we can neglect important details and make costly mistakes. Things may take longer than we might like with unexpected situations disrupting our process.
Friday, September 24th – Best Laid Plans – Uranus, Venus. Yesterday, we experienced Venus opposed Uranus with the Moon square Saturn. Today the Moon conjuncts Uranus and the Moon opposes Venus. While we don’t have the Fixed Sign T-Square in play today, we still may face frustrations and unexpected situations upsetting our intended plans. Yesterday and today suggest we keep a tight grip on the purse strings and avoid useless expenditures. These two days could have us interested in what appear to be gold-like good luck that turn out to be more like pyrite or fool’s gold. Although it would be wise for us to bring certain matters to conclusion before this coming Monday’s start of the three-week Mercury retrograde, rushing to complete various issues can have us glossing over important details and making costly mistakes. It would be far better for us to do less rather than more and maintain careful evaluation and constant checking to be certain that nothing falls between the cracks. Neither Thursday nor Friday are good days for significant purchases. Today we might have to alter our plans and adapt to changing circumstance. Thursday and Friday suggest that we ‘grin and bear it’ no matter what the ‘it’ might be.
Saturday, September 25th – Measure Twice, Cut Once – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Saturn. The early part of this Saturday could have us highly effective, so long as we do not try to do too much. If we would plan out our day, prioritize our activities and engage time management techniques, we can accomplish a great deal. Perhaps not more than we would like, but the other alternative would be taking on too much and not completing a whole lot. The Taurus Moon today sextiles Neptune, the Moon squares Jupiter, and the Moon trines Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini late in the day. Mars trines Saturn. The early part of this Saturday is best served dealing with our errands and taking care of issues we wish to resolve before Mercury turns retrograde. It would be wise for us to engage the sentiment of the carpenter whereby we ‘measure twice and cut once’. The more we can get done early in the day without doing so in a haphazard manner, the more likely we can enjoy our evening hours and Sunday in pleasant social occasions. The latter part of Saturday has by Sign a Grand Trine in the Air Element with the Moon in Gemini, Mars in Libra, and Saturn in Aquarius. Tomorrow, the Grand Trine will be exact.
Sunday, September 26th – Good Times with a Good Friend[s] – Lunar Grand Trine, Sun, Saturn, Mars. The Gemini Moon today triggers the Air Grand Trine with the Gemini Moon trine Saturn in Aquarius, and the Moon trine both the Sun and Mars both in Libra. This can be a highly pleasant day of social engagements. Conversations are likely to be light and airy, nothing political, nothing controversial. Any subjects that might trigger contentious responses are unlikely to be brought up, and that is a pleasant reprieve when we consider much of this autumn season has the Mercury Pluto square influence of battling dialogues. Let’s keep in mind that Mercury is stationary and about to turn retrograde. If we are trying to get anywhere, there can be delays or travel problems. We may even feel slightly tongue-tied with what we have in mind to say and what we express liable to be at odds. Let’s take our time, relax around the people we enjoy, and alleviate any pressure on ourselves to perform.
