The astrology for this week of November 25th through December 1st of 2019 has some pleasant festivities, just as long as we can twist and shift to the changing energies.
We start the week with the ending of one Stellium of three planets in a Sign and the beginning of a different Stellium. The Venus Jupiter conjunction that we experienced this past weekend is over, as Venus on Monday exits Sagittarius and enters Capricorn. There goes the ebullient, expansionary Sagittarian Stellium to be replaced by the serious, contractive Capricorn Stellium.
Not that we are done with the Sagittarius energy, for on Tuesday we have the Sagittarius New Moon. Whether physically or in our mind’s eye, we may be looking at travel and certainly at an appropriate time with the array of holiday festivities and family gathering that goes on during this time of year.
Travel may certainly be in our plans, for the mid-week period is often associated with the highest traveled time of the year in the US.
Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the US with some surprising incidents and upbeat festivities. Let’s not forget the attitude of gratitude, for we have much to be thankful for and a bounty of blessings in our lives.
Although the holiday rush of shopping is often associated with Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, holiday sales have already begun way before this Friday, all with the justification of a shorter holiday selling period, a more likely reality being retailers trying to get as many sales as possible [But will anything compare to Singles Day back on 11-11 when Chinese retailer Alibaba sold US$38.4 billion in 24 hours, more than Amazon’s online sales in the entire last quarter of the year?].
The weekend may continue the festivities. We are truly in the holiday spirit format with parties and gatherings and celebratory events.
Monday, November 25th – Down Beat – Neptune, Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus Capricorn. Coming off of what might have been an exhilarating weekend, although a weekend liable to have been indulgent and accident prone, this week begins with the Scorpio Moon trine Neptune, and the Moon sextile both Saturn and Pluto both in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over fourteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius early on Tuesday morning. We are also on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s Sagittarius New Moon. Late on this Monday, Venus exits Sagittarius, ending the Stellium in the Jupiter-ruled Mutable Fire Sign, and enters Capricorn, thereby triggering a Cardinal Earth Sign Stellium as Venus joins Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This Monday is a good day for completions and conclusions, getting rid of extraneous stuff in readiness of the obligations that come with the holiday period. Putting up holiday decorations, making plans for the festivities, and a good clean up and clear out, could be in order on this Monday.
Tuesday, November 26th – Broadening the Reach – Sagittarius New Moon, Sun. Tuesday has the Moon moving into Sagittarius and the Sagittarius New Moon as the Moon conjuncts the Sun. Our sights might be more on the distant horizons rather than what is straight, right in front of us. Since in the US this is Thanksgiving week, travel plans for family celebrations could be forefront in our mind. Whether we travel today or tomorrow, which is the highest traveled day of the year in the US, proper planning would go a long way towards making our journey easier and far less arduous. With the Sagittarian New Moon signature influencing the next two weeks up to the Gemini Full Moon on the 11th – 12th, we have an emphasis upon the Sagittarian expansion and the Capricorn Stellium of restraint. Either we may find ourselves on a wide swing between expansion and contraction like a metronome out of control, or we could blend our desire to broaden our reach with a best practices approach that would allow us to expand our activities in a most efficacious manner. It’s all a question as to how we choose to work with the energies — our choice, always our choice.
Wednesday, November 27th – Dazed and Confused – Neptune, Neptune direct. Proper planning over the past two days has been previously suggested and would have proven an antidote to this Wednesday’s energy. The Sagittarius Moon today squares Neptune with Neptune turning direct. The liability to engaging the experience of Wrong Way Corrigan whereby we start out in one direction and wind up in a totally different destination is highlighted today. And on a day that in the US is the most highly traveled day! The energy configurations today do not allow for greased wheels but demand that we maintain awareness and mindfulness. Things can certainly go awry today, so it would be wise for us to take the time, plan our itinerary for the day before starting out, and engage a large dose of patience. Let’s not try to go too far too fast. Everyone may be a little too self-absorbed to take into account the circumstances and conditions around them, and that could present a major league problem for all concerned.
Thursday, November 28th – Attitude of Gratitude – Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Neptune. Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the US, and the energy configurations today encourage an upbeat, enjoyable time with unexpected connections thrown in. The Moon begins the day in Sagittarius with the Moon conjunct Jupiter. The Moon then enters Capricorn where today the Moon trines Uranus, the Moon conjuncts Venus, and the Moon sextiles Mars. Mercury trines Neptune, and Venus trines Uranus. This Thursday can be an upbeat day, even if we think our schedule is more obligatory than enjoyable. The surprising thing about this day is the likelihood of surprises. There can be interesting contacts made today. Discussions can be both thought provoking and intuitive reaches that solve perplexing issues. An important ingredient in doing a ‘good’ life is the attitude of gratitude, and Thanksgiving is a primo day, and especially this one with the energy configurations today, in which to give thanks for all the blessings, wondrous opportunities and interesting connections we meet along our way. Not a day to be missed, this Thursday suggests we work with peripheral vision, be open to receive and keep adept at perceiving the magic and the mini-miracles of these times.
Friday, November 29th – Scurrying Around – Neptune, Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday is Black Friday in the US, a day that used to unofficially begin the holiday sales. Just as Christmas has encroached on late summer as holiday decorations start to make their appearance in the stores in August, holiday sales have also been launched prior to Black Friday, although much of the advertising still harkens to Black Friday. This Friday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today sextile Neptune in Pisces, the Moon sextile Mercury in Scorpio, and the Moon conjunct both Saturn and Pluto. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over sixteen hours as the Moon completes its transit of Capricorn with the Moon making no further connections to the planets before the Moon enters Aquarius later on Saturday. There can be a great deal of scurrying around on this Friday whether we are out with the mobs for the holiday sales bargains, enjoying social occasions over this long weekend, primping our environment in tune with the holiday spirit, or taking care of our responsibilities and obligations. This may be a highly active day. If we put our mind to it, we can accomplish a lot. Let’s keep in mind that the year is winding down, so it would be wise for us amidst all the hubbub of the holidays for us to start tying up loose ends of the year that we do not wish to bring into the new year.
Saturday, November 30th – Taking Account Before Acting – Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus, Mercury, Saturn. Saturday begins with the Void-of-Course Moon with the Moon making no connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Capricorn. Perhaps we had an energy blowout the past two days and need some time in the morning to regroup and deal with various errands. Later in the day, the Moon moves into Aquarius where today the Moon squares Uranus. Mercury sextiles Saturn. With the holidays in full gear now, it would be wise for us to think before we act. Making plans by budgeting our time and our finances for this holiday season could go a long way to avoid overload, either of holiday commitments or holiday expenses. We can prioritize our activities and devise a good roadmap in regard to what we need to do during these last few weeks of the year and what we wish to do. While such a suggestion might be considered, it may also be dispensed with in the hurly-burly of the moments. Surprising activities might prove more costly than we had considered with impetuous purchases putting a major dent into our financial program. This is a time when we need to rein in our enthusiasm and temper our wish list. Although shopping and acquiring stuff are national pastimes, it would be wise to consider that there are times, many times, when less is more.
Sunday, December 1st – We Gotta Get Out of this Place – Mars, Sun. Sunday begins the month of December with this Sunday having the Moon in Aquarius and the Moon square Mars and the Moon sextile the Sun. We may be feeling antsy on this Sunday. Although we could feel blocked, even corralled, by our holiday plans, we might prefer blowing everything off and taking a lark. There’s little doubt that we might need to get our energy out. If we have felt pent-up, then it would be wise for us to find some outlet to blow off some steam. Since in the US this may have been a very long holiday weekend from late on Wednesday through this Sunday, we could be champing at the bit to get on with it. Social occasions are all well and good, but there are times when we cry out: ‘enough already!’ This Sunday might well be one of those times. Many of us may be hitting the roads, gathering at the airports, for our journey back home. We might choose to go sooner rather than later with the excuse that we need to be back on track for our normal routine tomorrow. The interesting thing about this Sunday is that it’s also the last day of the yearlong Jupiter transit of its own Sign of Sagittarius. Tomorrow, Jupiter enters Capricorn and we could feel a tightening and a more restrictive tenor to our times over the next year.
