Category Archives: This month

  • March

With a lack of Fire, an abundance of both Air and Mutability, we are in the mood for change, especially if it is brought to us on a silver platter with the bells and whistles and doesn’t necessitate us doing much of anything. Yes, we want change from our present conditions, would like to fast forward into a far brighter future and we want it all yesterday without demanding much, if any, effort on our part.

  • February

February begins with a Mercury retrograde which continues on into the 18th of the month when we end the first of this year’s three Mercury retrogrades.

  • January

2008 is likely to be seen as a year when, both on an individual level and on a collective society level, the question is raised as to whether we have built upon rock or built upon sand. 2008 is a year when much of the fluff and the inconsequential may be washed away and we are asked, even forced, to focus on the true necessities and the essential fundamentals of living life.

  • December

This December seems to be a month of incredible volatility with wild extremes of emotions and actions. There’s a lot going on this December — some of it marvelous, some of it far less so, but none of it done in half measure.

  • November

This November seems one where we are looking to get to the core of issues, strip away the hype of images and appearance, and truly consider what is going on in our lives. We all feel that we are on the threshold of change, whether that change is by our own desire and commitment or the change is brought about by the shifting tides of these times. Change is in the air,

  • October

This October is a rather placid month with few extreme or frenetic energies… Like the transit of the Sun through the Cardinal Air Sign at the beginning of the month, the Libra influence is all about balance. Similar to the Libran influence, we may want to consider all sides to a question, look at every facet to a situation before we come to a decision or make a determination. The Libran influence to weigh, balance and consider all sides was cleverly brought out in the 1976 US Presidential Election campaign. Asking to be included in the Presidential Debates, Independent candidate Eugene McCarthy said it would take him one hour to enunciate his position on a particular issue, while it would take then-President Gerald Ford two hours to state his one position and would take Libran candidate Jimmy Carter three hours to state his three positions on an issue.

  • September

This September seems to be a month when ‘the joint is jumping’.

September seems to offer a basket full of unexpected situations with some real whipsaws in our emotions and in our actions. We could be all over the place and at times wondering which end is up.

  • August

Traditionally, August is the month when many people take their summer holiday. In fact, August is the month when most people leave town to bask in the golden summer sun. And why not? For August is the month of the Sun being in its own Sign of Leo, at least for the first three weeks of the month.

  • July

According to an intractable law of the universe that seems to hold true for every Mercury retrograde, Murphy’s Law states: ‘whatever can go wrong will’.

As we start July, we are two weeks into the three-week cycle of this Mercury retrograde. Can we say that Murphy’s Law has been playing out? I could certainly say so, both in regard to my personal experiences and those I hear from other people. When Mercury is retrograde, communications can be off, misunderstandings likely, and we may have problems with our cars, our computers and others forms of communication and transportation.

  • June 2007

We are likely to start June in high gear. We are looking at moving full speed ahead, expanding our involvements, taking on as much as we can possibly handle. And maybe even more. We are feeling optimistic, confident and ready to put our imprint on everything we do. We are on fire
