The astrology for this week of July 11th through the 17th of 2022 provides some interesting and unexpected opportunities if we do our due diligence and not jump into situations based solely upon first impressions.
The week begins with us in high energy mode. We may want to be here, there and everywhere, but it would be wise for us to apply braking action.
We are in summertime with its potential, and liability, of a summertime love. Although our heart strings can be plucked, we have to be wary that we’re not doing the dance with a trickster, where our fantasies get in the way of truly seeing where the person is coming from. With our society in postmodernism throes, where anything goes, the subjective becomes the objective, and fiction is accepted as fact, we have to be careful that we are not snookered by the seductive appeals of the narcissist interested in gaining the upper hand rather than engaging a give and take relationship.
The mid-week period on Wednesday the 13th has the Capricorn Full Moon. In numerology, the 13th speaks to transformation, the transcendence of ego into essence. This Full Moon asks us to balance our personal needs with our professional interests and with the added benefit of our being able to have our head in the clouds but with our feet firmly planted on the ground.
If we fail the due diligence and instead get seduced by our first take on impressions, we could find ourselves being disappointed and deluded by someone. Let’s give our goodbye yellow brick road to any illusions that our pipedreams, hopes and wishes might fuel. We have to be certain that what we see is what we get.
The weekend can be close to idyllic and might seem like a romp through a splendiferous fantasyland. We are far more interested in the good times of summertime and unwilling to allow hard, cold reality to impose upon our fanciful dreams and enjoyment of the good things in life. We may step away from our mundane realities and fully embrace a world of wondrous possibilities. This is a weekend for re-creation. We do have to keep in mind the wild swings of these times. If we go too far out into excess this weekend, the beginning of this next week could have us paying dearly. As the saying goes: “If you dance to the music, you’ve got to pay to the piper.”
Monday, July 11th – All of It – Saturn, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins this week with the Moon in Sagittarius. Much of the energy today occurs towards the latter part of the day when the Moon trines Saturn and the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Venus and the Moon square Neptune. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn early on Tuesday morning. We can be feeling upbeat, confident and expansive on this Monday. Whatever catches our fancy, we might want to engage. While less is often more, this is a day when more and more just may not suffice. If we can keep focused, budget our time and our expenses, we could avoid the extreme costs of excessive actions. This is a day when we need to keep a rein on our enthusiasm. Everything might seem appealing, and we are liable to make the case that everything is possible and well within our reach. Relationships may be seductive as we see only what we want to see — a prince inside the toad or the princess inside the bat. But it is summertime, a time when we are basking in the sun with a sense of exuberance and a desire to spread our wings, a wish made even greater after two years of imposed isolation due to the lockdowns and stay-at-homes. Although we have experienced severe contractions, it is important that we avoid the extreme of over expansions, a liability on this Monday.
Tuesday, July 12th – Persistence with Restraint – Mars, Jupiter. The Moon enters Capricorn on this Tuesday with the Moon trine Mars, followed by the Moon square Jupiter. This Tuesday can be a highly productive day. We have the persistence and determination to advance our interests in a step-by-step approach. What we have to be leery of is any tendency to assume that we can do it all and then some. We might be so enamored by our successful efforts that we believe we can do no wrong. And that could be a cause of a slip and fall, where we try and take on too much. We are also the day before tomorrow’s Full Moon, and we may feel jacked up with energy. It would be wise for us to start the day with our ‘to do’ list in hand, prioritizing our intended activities, and focusing on the details and specifics. We neither want to get lost in the weeds or be oblivious to the big picture of our goals and ambitions. Concentrating on what we wish to accomplish, all the while that we keep track of all the components that make up our big picture, would allow for greater success in our results. An element of go slow, taking things in a natural progression, and reevaluating as we go along would prevent us from leaping ahead without tying up loose ends or from skipping over important factors. This is a day when we can get a lot done, but we just have to avoid being a little too full of oneself.
Wednesday, July 13th – Head in Clouds, Feet on Ground – Mercury, Uranus, Capricorn Full Moon, Sun, Neptune, Venus, Saturn. Wednesday has the Capricorn Full Moon [2:38 PM EDT] with the Moon trine Uranus, the Moon sextile Neptune, the Moon opposed Mercury and the Moon opposed the Sun at the time of the Full Moon. Venus trines Saturn, and Mercury sextiles Uranus. This Wednesday can be a highly productive day as long as we don’t put on blinders or limit the IS. Not only can we think about how best to develop our long-term plans. We could also get some fascinating insights, hear some surprising news, and become open to doing things more effectively with less expenditure of energy. This Wednesday is a primo day, and one when things can fall neatly into place. We might have a glimpse into the mechanics of the new paradigm of asequential reality. The key is being receptive to what is going on, not trying to force things according to our will, and appreciating the magic and mystery of these times where things can occur in the most unexpected manner. We can have our head in the clouds, consider all sorts of prospects, even the seeming implausible likely to be possible, all the while that we have our feet firmly planted on the ground and consider the many means available to make our dreams come true, often with a little help from the serendipitous encounters of this paradigm shift. This is a high energy day not to be missed but also one when we need to be open and receptive and dispel the belief that we have to be in sole control of situations.
Thursday, July 14th – Fool Me Once, Fool Me Twice – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Neptune. Thursday begins with the Moon completing its transit of Capricorn with the Moon conjunct Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius early Thursday morning. The Aquarius Moon squares Mars, and the Moon sextiles Jupiter. Venus squares Neptune. This is a day when we need to keep our wits about us. We may be more enamored with what could be rather than the reality of what is. We might prefer doing anything other than what we need to do. If we could take off and just enjoy ourselves today, that would likely be our preference. We don’t want to be put upon or have our wings clipped. We do have to be wary of suggestions made to us, for even with the best of intentions people could be leading us down a garden path. This is a day to hew to my constant suggestion of “check the source and check their agenda.” We have the liability of being snookered by beguiling presentations, appealing images, and a tantalizing narrative, all of which might be more illusion than reality. This is a day to keep in mind the old saying: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
Friday, July 15th – Betwixt and Between – Uranus, Saturn. Last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is engaged on this Friday as the Aquarius Moon squares Uranus to begin the day, and the Moon conjuncts Saturn late in the day. An old proverb asserts that ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions’, a proverb that we have to avoid replicating on this Friday. We may have various interests far different from our usual trajectory that we would like to cultivate. Conceptually, the activity might seem like an easy implementation and accomplishment. But everything seems easier in concept than in manifestation, and so it could be for us on this Friday. We have to be wary of expending our resources without a clear direction ahead. Unexpected costs today can put a crimp on our intentions. It would be wise to keep a budget in mind, both in regard to finances, our time, and our energy. It may be better for us to stay in the planning stages than implementation with the recognition that our drive to advance new activities is largely a reaction of our feeling stuck in old patterns. If we try to move too fast too far, we are liable to experience a nasty snapback. The new can be enticing but possibly better as a far-off vision to address in the future than trying to forge ahead presently. The evening hours can have us reconnecting with someone from our past, a mirror as to whom we have been rather than who we are presently. Let’s realize that often when we are in process of significant change or transformation, elements of our past come back to see whether we are truly ready to move ahead or if we are going to fall back into old parameters. This Friday could have us betwixt and between our past, present, and future.
Saturday, July 16th – Lazy Days – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Sun, Mercury. In the early morning hours of this Saturday the Aquarius Moon trines Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces where later in the day the Pisces Moon sextiles Mars. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. This weekend is a time for us to kick back, relax, and entertain our fantasies of stepping off the track and into a wonderland of good times and fun events. Nothing is too much for us, although we might hardly want to lift a finger. If we could just laze about today and tomorrow, we would feel like we’re in seventh heaven. Escapism in whatever format we choose may be the order of the day and of this weekend. Akin to what Timothy Leary suggested back in the 1960s, this weekend is a time for us to: “Turn on, tune in, drop out”. Whatever our mode of escapism might be, this weekend has us entering a different dimension from our usual, daily routine. We are less interested in what is going on in the world, far more intrigued by entering a wonderland beyond the images and presentations. Whether we go out into nature or stay by the kitchen door, we are likely to focus more on that which lies beyond shallow appearance and delve into the deeper, more essential characteristics of our being and our living. This weekend provides a healthy and nurturing respite from the crazies of this physical realm.
Sunday, July 17th – What a Day for a Daydream – Uranus, Neptune, Sun, Mercury, Venus Cancer. Sunday continues with a sense of otherworldly realities. The Moon continues its transit of Pisces with the Moon today sextile Uranus, the Moon conjunct Neptune, and the Moon trine the Sun. Mercury trines Neptune, and the Sun trines Neptune. Venus exits Gemini to enter Cancer [9:32 PM EDT], triggering a brief Stellium in Cancer as Venus joins the Sun and Mercury in the Cardinal Water Sign. Our intuitive sense can be heightened, and there might be moments when we feel out of our body. This is a day for us to ‘go with the flow’, for we could experience the truth to the saying that ‘god and the higher forces have far greater plans for us than we could have ever imagined for ourselves’. It would be wise for us not to get in the way of today’s twists and turns, which may be ever more subtle but still open the doors or windows to fascinating incidents. Evidence of magic and mini-miracles may be apparent this weekend, and provide us with affirmations that life is good and that things work out, whether in league with our own plans or by divine design. This day is a day for us to be open to the wonders of doing life, go deeper within ourselves, and re-create through becoming more aware of the paradigm shift into asequential reality. Meditation, engaging our own creative talents, contemplation, and embracing the beauties of the natural world are all ways for us to tap into a deeper part of oneself with today’s energies a time to do so.
