The astrology for this week of July 5th through the 11th of 2021 demands that we keep our wits about us and act gingerly in our relationship matters.
The week begins with us being industrious and able to accomplish a number of things effectively and expeditiously. We may decide on certain changes regarding our environment. People are likely to be itching at getting things in order, all the while wanting to experience some summer fun.
The week may begin on a high note but then dissolves into the second of the transiting Leo planets T-Square to our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square. Last week, we had Mars triggering the Saturn Uranus into a T-Square. This week, we have Venus opposed Saturn on Tuesday, followed by Venus square Uranus on Thursday.
Our fun might be dampened by social miscalculations or personal disagreements. Misunderstandings and miscommunications could trigger hurt feelings and a sense of slights, some of which might be unintended. Issues associated with past experiences and unexpected encounters are liable to throw us for a loop towards the latter part of the week.
The saving grace may be the fact that we are on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to the Cancer New Moon on Friday [9:17 PM EDT].
Although we came into the summer season back on the 20th of June at the time of the Summer Solstice, the true seasonal influence is kicked off by that season’s Cardinal Sign New Moon. For this season, our summer is truly kicked off late on Friday with the Cancer New Moon.
With its influence over the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 23rd, this New Moon speaks to addressing home and family matters with both a sense of ridding ourselves of the extraneous and streamlining our life by engaging dramatic, and even unexpected, changes.
The weekend can have us attending to a cleanup and clear out and then looking for some fun activities, which might be lessened by our nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square triggered late on Sunday.
Monday, July 5th – Get It Together – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Uranus. Monday begins the week, and in the US a public holiday in deference to Independence Day, with the Taurus Moon sextile Neptune, the Moon trine Pluto and then the Moon going Void-of-Course for eight and a half hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Gemini on Monday evening. The Sun sextiles Uranus. Whether we are back on track with our regular routine or taking this day in holiday mode, we can be highly accomplished early in the day. This Monday would be a good day to zero down on those things that are truly important for us and to rid ourselves of the extraneous and the outmoded. By prioritizing our involvements, we can be more effective and productive without the distractions that are liable to occur over the next few days. For getting things done, this Monday may be the best day of the week. Unexpected developments could take us down some interesting trajectories with us utilizing time management skills and drawing upon streamlined techniques. Even if we have few things scheduled for this day, various involvements can fit neatly together, some of which might be surprising and pleasing developments.
Tuesday, July 6th – Doing It My Way – Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Mercury, Neptune. Monday and Tuesday could epitomize the concept of going from the sublime to the ridiculous. Yesterday might have had us operating at our optimum. Today, it may seem as though the wheels have come off the bus. The Gemini Moon today squares both Jupiter and Neptune both in Pisces, the Moon sextiles Venus, and the Moon trines Saturn. Mercury squares Neptune, and Venus begins the trigger to the Fixed Sign T-Square with our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square as Venus opposes Saturn today, to be followed by Venus square Uranus on Thursday. We could be a little full of ourselves today, full of confidence, full of information that might not be truly verifiable, and full of self-absorption to the detriment to our relationships. The liability of excess and indulgence, doing whatever we choose no matter the warning signs evident or given by close friends, cannot be discounted on this Tuesday. If we would heed advice from a detached observer, we could avoid a great deal of misfortune. But our tendency today may be to only listen to the ‘yes’ people, those who support whatever we want and however we see the landscape. Old issues with someone might resurface today. It would be wise for us to be diplomatic and understanding, but neither characteristic is likely in our present disposition. We’re just interested in doing it our own personal way, come hell or high water.
Wednesday, July 7th – Gung Ho – Mars, Neptune. Wednesday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today sextile Mars in the morning hours and the Moon square Neptune at the end of the day. We are sandwiched between the Venus Leo T-Square with Venus having opposed Saturn yesterday, and Venus square Uranus tomorrow. Whether we got off track yesterday or not, we can start this day with a spring in our step. Even if there had been relationship issues yesterday, we are probably oblivious, since our focus is more on our being proactive rather than receptive. This liability of being absorbed in our own personal world, a characteristic shared by much of society, can have us doing our own thing with the belief that everyone around us is either encouraging or at least accepting of our actions and attitude. May not be the case, and there can be hiccups in our interactions. Unfortunately, when we only listen to what we want to hear, only see what we want to see, we become like a horse with blinders on, our perspective limited to only that which is in front of us, unable to see from peripheral vision, thereby negating important views that might alter our perception. Starting the day off in a gung-ho manner, we have to be wary that we don’t replicate Wrong Way Corrigan and head off in the wrong direction and find ourselves dazed and confused as we end this day.
Thursday, July 8th – Peering Out from Safe Space – Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus. Thursday begins with the Gemini Moon conjunct Mercury in the early morning hour. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enter Cancer where today the Cancer Moon trines Jupiter. Venus squares Uranus completing the Fixed Sign T-Square with our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square. After a couple of days that might have been dizzying with some ill effects in our actions, decisions and interactions with other people, it might be wise for us to seek solace in the quiet of our own personal space. Retreating into our private environment might be both a comfort and a preventative to further relationship discord. Of course, there is the saying that “you can run but you can’t hide”, and that saying may be proven true on this Thursday. Whether we have created relationship problems or been victim to same, everyone may be a little on edge with their personal interactions. Hatchets long buried could resurface, and unexpected developments in the personal arena could throw us for a loop. Let’s keep aware that all of us have been through a disconcerting time while things have gone topsy-turvy with the way things once were almost idyllic in memory during the turbulent and tumultuous present. This is a time for us to cut everyone, including ourselves, a lot of slack, recognize the stress we have been under, and find ourselves a sanctuary where we can reflect, meditate, contemplate and pray for better days.
Friday, July 9th – Out of the Dark, the Light – Uranus, Cancer New Moon, Sun. Friday has the Cancer Moon sextile Uranus and the Cancer New Moon with the Sun Moon conjunction [9:17 PM EDT]. The past few days may have been difficult with our relationships, largely a result of our being on our high horse and not being receptive listeners, the latter being a rare commodity nowadays anyway. Fortunately, prior to today’s New Moon, the past few days have been on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon, a time when things don’t have the same impact they might have otherwise and a period of finishes and completions rather than startups or significant lasting effects. If we were lucky, we may have avoided some of the liable dustups. Even if we did have some issues with other people, they might not have been as dire as we presumed at the time. Friday’s New Moon allows an either / or type of situation. Either we can become highly focused on mundane matters, deal with our responsibilities, and concentrate on exactly what is right in front of us. Or we could become more spiritually engaged, assessing what our true purpose and meaning in this life are all about. The either / or can also become an integration of the two polarities of the material and spiritual and provide us the impetus for putting our spirit into action. These next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 23rd could be a metronome between our usual obligations and our stepping away from familiar parameters – the flips between obligations and re-creations. Let’s act like Goldilocks, trying this and then trying that until we finally find what is exactly just right.
Saturday, July 10th – Time Out – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Saturday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today trine Neptune, and the Moon opposed Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo late in the day. This Saturday epitomizes the New Moon signature of yesterday that influences our next two weeks. We might start the day slowly, recharging our batteries, and more interested in taking time to reflect and consider what we are doing and why we are doing it. With a renewed purpose and a sense of our own personal destiny, we can move forward with our responsibilities and our obligations. This Saturday is a good day for us to do a major inventory taking, both on a material level and a spiritual level. We could determine our priorities and also those extraneous matters that serve no purpose except imposing on our time. This day may be slow starting, but once in gear we might be expeditious and effective in what we need to get done. Cleaning up and clearing out the superfluous will help us be more focused and functional in the days ahead. There are times when it is essential that we step off the track, take into account what is going on for us, and then determine our right course of action. This Saturday may be one of those days. Late in the day, we are likely to put aside our contemplations and give thought to having some summertime fun.
Sunday, July 11th – Back at It – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Uranus, Mercury Cancer. Much of this Summer has the Saturn Uranus square triggered by planets transiting through Leo. We just don’t seem to get away from it with the effect of either dampening our good times with delays and frustrations or curveballs thrown at us disrupting our plans and forcing alterations to our intentions. Last week, we had Mars in Leo triggering the Fixed Sign T-Square, this week Venus in Leo doing the same. We end this week with the Leo Moon triggering the Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Saturn and the Moon square Uranus to close out the week. Mercury exits its own Sign of Gemini to enter Cancer [4:35 PM EDT]. No matter what we have planned for this Sunday, it would be wise to keep in mind that things can go awry. Maintaining a sense of bemusement as we are given evidence that we are not fully in control of our life’s situations will lessen the deadening impact of this Fixed Sign T-Square. We may also find that we are not necessarily circling the wagons but that we are spending more time around our home and with our family and loved ones. Although we may not always like impediments, delays and frustrations, it would be wise to keep in mind the true advice that ‘the hands of god grind slowly but finely’.
