The astrology for this week of April 26th through May 2nd of 2021 demands that we hold onto our hats and fasten our seat belts before we get a grip on what is happening and determine how best for us to proceed.
The week begins with us feeling bright and cheery with the gift of gab, but the energy soon shifts. Suddenly, we might feel as though our stability is shaken, our security threatened. We could even have a sense of the rug being pulled out from under us.
Perhaps we are becoming aware of the costs of inflation, the rising prices insidiously hidden by step-by-step cost increases while the packaging decreases in size. I have mentioned before the 50% increase in gasoline costs since this past December. Add to that my noticing produce costs increasing some 30% over a two-week period. The trickle-down effect of interrelated expenses and subsequent increased costs may be ever more evident to even the most oblivious.
The Full Moon late Monday, early Tuesday can make us more fully aware of how our world is being impacted and our quality of life being negatively affected.
Like a volcano percolating below the surface with the magma boiling to the point of rising, whether effusively or explosively, we have to be careful in how we respond to the changing climate of conditions. It would be wise for us to rein in our reactions, for the liability of acting out and explosive behavior cannot be discounted as we start off at the beginning of this week.
The early part of this week could seem like a band-aid being pulled away to expose the wound that has been inflicted on us.
No matter what releases may occur early in the week, we might feel more upbeat mid-week by engaging the sentiment that ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’.
Our intuitive sense could be heightened. If we avoid falling into the victim mode, we can determine how best to alter and shift both our trajectory and our attitude, whereby we accept that we truly are able to work with changing conditions to our benefit. Often our greatest challenges also present our greatest opportunities, and so it may be as we come towards the end of the week.
Although we often consider our weekends to be a time for jumping off the track, for relaxation and re-creation, this weekend is best served by attending to our mundane affairs and advancing our greatest ambitions. Much can be accomplished expeditiously and almost effortlessly.
Later Sunday would be a good time for our social engagements with special emphasis on the idyllic qualities of our connection with a special someone.
From any disruptions early in the week, we can pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again with greater awareness, mindfulness, and being more open to alternate trajectories.
Monday, April 26th – Bad Moon Rising – Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Scorpio Full Moon, Sun. Monday begins the week with the Libra Moon square Pluto and the Moon trine Jupiter both early Monday morning. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon trines Mars and ends the day with the Scorpio Full Moon [11:32 PM EDT] as the Moon opposes the Sun. We might begin the day with a sense of needing to address outstanding matters, deal with certain details and tie up loose ends. Someone could provide important assistance whether by their input, encouragement or hands-on involvement. Despite what we need to get done, discussions with someone can be uplifting and inspired and put us in a good mood. The energy then shifts with us interested in a cleaning up and clearing out. What we have to be wary of is being so involved in getting rid of the extraneous that we do so to an extreme. The Scorpio Full Moon to end the day triggers a Fixed Sign T-square that certainly impacts today and tomorrow with tomorrow also giving us Pluto turning retrograde. These first two days of this week trigger our year’s nemesis of the Taurus Aquarius square, as the Scorpio Moon opposes the four planets transiting Taurus and the Moon squares Saturn. Monday and Tuesday of this week call for us to keep our wits about us, maintain a calm attitude, and ratchet down our emotions and our actions. Monday and Tuesday demand that we take baby steps rather than giant leaps and for us to be prepared for radical shifts and changes.
Tuesday, April 27th – Revelations, So What – Lunar T-square, Uranus, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, Neptune, Pluto retrograde. Tuesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Fixed Sign T-Square enforced as the Moon opposes Uranus, Venus and Mercury, and the Moon squares Saturn. Late in the day, the Moon trines Neptune. Pluto turns retrograde [4:04 PM EDT]. We may have a heightened awareness today, but we might also feel more like pawns in a game of chess with us merely able to react to situations rather than taking a proactive stance. No matter what we try to do on this Tuesday, we could feel like we’re spinning our wheels, stuck in neutral, unable to move forward with delays and frustrations being thrown at us. Add to that the fact that Pluto changing direction, from direct motion to retrograde motion, often occurs with a dramatic release of energy. We can have the sense that we need to duck, dodge and dive to avoid incoming from any number of sources. This is a day where patience is needed and an affirmation of the serenity prayer to accept the things that we cannot change. There may be a greater awareness as truths are revealed, but we might also feel ineffectual to effect change. Despite any sense of being powerless to alter conditions, we can embrace prayer and an attitude that things do eventually work out in the end. This is a day for us to exercise extreme caution in what we say, what we do, and how we respond to situations.
Wednesday, April 28th – Light Out of Darkness – Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. After two fairly intense days, things lighten up as we move through this Wednesday. The day begins with the Scorpio Moon sextile Pluto and the Moon square Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius. Wednesday may be a day when we pick up the pieces from some of the disruptions that we might have experienced these past two days. The more that we can finish up pressing matters, the less we shall have to contend with in days ahead that would crimp our style. It is important for us to prioritize our activities and focus on the truly important. We could be feeling more inspired and upbeat and consequently bite off more than we can chew. The mornings hours are best served by our having our head down and completing the specifics of certain projects. Resolutions and completions are called for, but we have to avoid distractions and trying to do too much. Whatever went on over these past two days, we’re coming out from under much of the intensity. To some large degree, we are coming out of the darkness and into the light. We may be looking at spreading our wings, but our implementation of expanding our reach would be better done tomorrow rather than today. Today is best for us to finish up certain matters and then take a breather since we might feel as if we have just come out from the wars.
Thursday, April 29th – Trusting Instincts – Saturn, Neptune, Mercury. Thursday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon sextile Saturn to begin the day, and the Moon square Neptune to end the day. Mercury sextiles Neptune. This is a day when we can blend practical application with heightened intuition to come up with a best practices approach and move forward with expansion into developing our future projects. Although things can fall neatly into place through a sense of ‘knowing’ without knowing and with us able to accomplish a great deal today, we have to be wary of either getting ahead of ourselves or being a little too full of ourselves. The ability of combining foresight with a solid template to accomplish our goals can come easily to us. It is important that we stay focused, since things may seem so easily accomplished that we distract ourselves with additional involvements or we take our hand off the tiller and lose sight of our direction. Our thoughts may be lofty and our conversations with other people could discuss practical matters and engage a larger philosophical picture of what life is all about. Empirical reasoning is all well and good but from the lockdowns and the curveballs of the recent past, and even the present, we may realize the importance of our spiritual being. Thursday is a day for us to trust our instincts and fuel our faith in the unfolding process of our lives and living.
Friday, April 30th – First Steps – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Sun, Uranus. Friday begins the day with the Sagittarius Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn where late today the Moon opposes Mars. The Sun conjuncts Uranus. We may begin the day feeling upbeat, inspired, and looking more towards our weekend plans and possible social engagement with friends than dealing with our routine matters. Can we start the weekend early? Why not? Who is looking over our shoulder? Besides, during this paradigm shift one of the facets that has changed is TIME. Perhaps we are becoming more aware of working with the energies rather than being tied into a regimented schedule. With the Sun conjunct Uranus, we are likely feeling changes in ourselves and how we can best streamline our operations in order to be more effective with less expenditure of energy. This can be a day to enjoy ourselves in the morning hours and then become more attentive to what we wish to accomplish later today and over the weekend. We may feel obligations to family and home issues, but let’s keep in mind that by utilizing time management skills we could juggle more and accomplish more than we could have done in times past. We might even consider ‘the more, the merrier’.
Saturday, May 1st – Fitting Alterations – Uranus, Sun. Midday Friday through midday Sunday can be highly productive with us attending to what needs to get done, making necessary alterations to match the changes we wish to engage, and a time when we might be able to virtually move mountains. Saturday has the Moon continuing its transit of Capricorn with the Moon today trine Uranus and the Moon trine the Sun both in Taurus. This is also the first day of May, a month when the bounty and beauty of spring become ever more evident. This blossoming in nature could be reflected in what we choose to do on this Saturday. The sense of changing things up, both in regard to our plans for this day and feathering our nest, may be foremost in our mind. We are looking to be spontaneous and to also incorporate in our environment some of the changes we are feeling within ourselves. There can be a pull to go shopping, all with the intention of adopting a makeover from the personal of our appearance and wardrobe to our home furnishings and an added splash to our residence. We are likely feeling the insistence of spring with its promise of rebirth, renewal and the infusion of newness. If we have errands to attend, we can be both expeditious in our efforts with a spontaneity that incorporates having a good time while even addressing our ‘to do’ list. This weekend is not one to merely laze about, but rather a time when we can make manifest some of the changes we have been itching to incorporate into our life.
Sunday, May 2nd – Incisive, Deliberate, and Appealing – Venus, Neptune, Pluto, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday could prove a spectacular day. Not only can we get a lot done during much of the day, but the latter part of the day may have us participating in the finer, even finest, facets of living. The day begins with the Moon continuing its transit of Capricorn with the Capricorn Moon trine both Venus and Mercury both in Taurus, the Moon sextile Neptune, and the Moon conjunct Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius later in the day. Mercury trines Pluto early in the day, and Venus sextile Neptune later in the day. This day highlights the sentiment ‘work hard, play hard’. Our mind is sharp, and we could attend to any number of pressing matters without anything falling between the cracks or any detail undone. We can be incisive, deliberate with a ‘can do’ attitude and result. Just as this is a primo day for practical engagements and successful outcomes, so too is it a primo day for us to engage fully the good things in life — the appreciation for masterful artistic works, the elegance of nature in all its unfolding beauty, and the idyllic connections with that special someone and those special people that add so much to our life. It just doesn’t get better than this, and this Sunday is a day to truly savor.
