The astrology for this week of July 28th through the 3rd of August 2025 has us in the middle of the three-week Mercury retrograde with an eye on getting back into our regular routine but insisting on enjoying summer fun times.
We begin the week liable to feeling grumpy, critical, and seeing the world as a dystopian nightmare rather than the optimistic potentials that the present paradigm shift offers.
Our relationships may be dicey as we start the week with people feeling put upon by the anxieties and demands of other people. We might want to hide out in the sanctuary of our home or go someplace where no one knows our name.
There’s a great deal of intensity towards the latter part of the week. Everyone could be playing at Goldilocks where nothing is quite right.
Let’s get a grip on our emotions, calm our nerves, and step off the track if at all possible. Even slight divergence from usual patterns can provide a healthy respite and provide a beneficial way to vent any frustrations that we are experiencing.
It’s summertime and with it comes all the expectations from summers past. But this summer is different. It’s a summer during a paradigm shift and exacerbated by Mercury retrograde and the liability of hiccups along the way. Whatever bumps in the road that we encounter, it is essential that we not take them personally but see them as only part of the process in the transformation of society and the transformation of our personal lives.
The weekend offers us a time to regroup with Sunday being a day for a vision quest by getting out of town, spreading our wings, and exploring new terrain which would also provide us with a fresh perspective and an altered vision of what may truly be going on.
Monday, July 28th – Bite no Bark – Mars, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins this week with the Moon completing its transit of Virgo with the Virgo Moon conjunct Mars and the Moon square Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra early on Tuesday morning. We may be somewhat adamant about what we want to do on this Monday with a liability of either going into excess or glossing over important details as we rush to complete our tasks. Although grousing might be the temperament of this day, let’s recognize that things said, actions made could always have negative ramifications and unintended consequences. This Monday suggests we slow things down, lower our expectations, and avoid costly expenditures. We can feel as though we got up on the wrong side of the bed today, but let’s not take it out on other people or on ourselves. This is a day for us to cut ourselves and other people a lot of slack and a day for us to temper our attitude and our behavior.
Tuesday, July 29th – A Little Magic – Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Pluto, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday has the Moon moving into Libra where today the Libra Moon is highly energized by many connections to the planets. The Moon triggers a Grand Trine in Air as the Libra Moon trines Uranus in Gemini and the Moon trines Pluto in Aquarius. The Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Libra Moon opposed both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries and the Moon square Jupiter at the end of the day, one minute before midnight EDT. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for thirty-seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio after midday on Thursday. The Moon also sextiles both the Sun and Mercury both in Leo on this Tuesday. The three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all positively aspected today, and there are two kite pattern configurations. This Tuesday is one of those mysterious, magical, even miraculous days, when things can occur in the most unexpected manner, surprising opportunities are presented to us, and someone might go out of our way to assist us in advancing our primary interests. Tuesday and Sunday of this week are most magical days, days to enjoy and take advantage of the opportunities, and days that only come along infrequently. Today and Sunday allow us to see the mysterious ways of the universe and its benefits to us.
Wednesday, July 30th – Still – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus Cancer. The Moon that went Void-of-Course just before the start of this Wednesday continues through this day and into mid-day tomorrow as the Libra Moon makes no connections to the planets as it completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio on Thursday. Late on Wednesday, Venus exits Gemini and enters Cancer [11:57 PM EDT]. With all the positive energy configurations yesterday with incidents that could have blown our mind, Wednesday is eerily quiet. We might spend the day ruminating on the various events that occurred yesterday. Perhaps we were so engrossed in being in the moment that we didn’t have time to contemplate the meaning of whatever was happening. This Wednesday provides us the time to allow nickels to drop and become more aware of what may have happened. As if sorting through a maze of kaleidoscopic events, we can take the time to figure out the meaning of it all and turn our confused maze into a labyrinth of understanding and centering. This Wednesday would be a good day for time alone and time with a special someone to discuss our reflections. The movement of Venus into Cancer, a Sign of Exaltation for Venus, can stir up interest in home and family matters. We might want to spend more time in the sanctuary of our personal environment with family and close personal friends. Even if we’re traveling, we may want to make our accommodations comfortable and homey. Home projects could have us engaged with repairs, maintenance, and general fixups. Even despite high mortgage rates, the transit through Cancer of Venus and Jupiter, the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, could increase interest in real estate with people looking and considering whether to sell or to buy. And with intimations of the Federal Reserve adjusting the fed funds rate with its consequent effect of dropping interest rates and / or Mr. Trump suggesting eliminating capital gains on residential sales, there can be an uptick in interest in real estate.
Thursday, July 31st – Getting One’s House in Order – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Pluto, Sun, Mercury. The Void-of-Course Libra Moon that started on Tuesday continues through midday of thus Thursday with the Moon making no connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra. The Moon then enters Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon trines Venus and the Moon squares Pluto late in the day. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. This Thursday can have us chatting up a storm in the morning, followed by more attention to our home and family matters. We might want to pare down, focus on the essentials, and take things down a notch or two. We might feel as though our home is our castle and decide to straighten up, tidy up, clean up, and polish everything about our personal environment. The evening may have us engaging a social activity. If we took yesterday and earlier today as a personal retreat into alone time and the sanctity of our safe space, the evening could prove jarring. It might seem like we’re moving from sanctuary into the hurly-burly of the world with someone pontificating about their exploits, a characterization of their being a legend in their own mind. This Thursday can have us going from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Friday, August 1st – Touchy but not the Last Nerve – Mercury, Sun, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Neptune. Friday has the Scorpio Moon square both Mercury and the Sun both in Leo, and the Moon trine Jupiter. Venus squares both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries. Tuesday and Sunday may be the two primo days of this week with everything going our way in a most mysterious manner. We might try to replicate the magic we could have experienced on Tuesday but with little luck today. Instead, we can feel blocked and unable to accomplish what we wish to achieve. Expenses could ratchet up, and we may feel as though we don’t have the resources to pull off our greatest ambition for the day. Although our personal pleasures might be foremost in our mind early in the day, our focus could shift to home and family matters with a sense that usual responsibilities are putting insistent demands on us. As we go through this Friday bumping along, we might fantasize about how we can recapture the marvelous and miraculous incidents of Tuesday. But that was then, this is now. Let’s deal with what we need to get done and pare down our obligations on this Friday.
Saturday, August 2nd – Time Out – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. The Moon completes its transit of Scorpio with the Scorpio Moon today sextile Mars in the evening. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius early in the morning hours of Sunday. There is not a great deal of energy on this Saturday. It might be best to relax, regroup, and take care of outstanding matters around our home base. Hide out might not be the most appropriate phrase for today but time out certainly is. We would prefer slowing things down, getting off the track, and recharging our batteries. We may have grand visions of spreading our wings, give thought to where we want to go exploring, and prepare in our mind some grand adventure. Better today to contemplate and prepare rather than implement and start our journey. Tomorrow is geared for takeoff and launching; today not so much.
Sunday, August 3rd – On the Road Again – Uranus, Pluto, Lunar Grand Trine, Saturn, Neptune, Mercury. Sunday has the Moon entering Sagittarius with the Sagittarius Moon opposed Uranus, the Moon sextile Pluto, and the Moon triggering a Grand Trine in Fire with the Sagittarius Moon trine both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries, and the Moon trine Mercury in Leo. A kite pattern chart is created with the sextiles in orb of Pluto to the Moon and Pluto to Saturn and Neptune. The three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are engaged. There is a great parallel today to Tuesday’s magic and miracles. Hopefully, we rested up yesterday, for today we could be firing on all cylinders. Even though there might be some needed adjustments to whatever plans we have for this Sunday, once we make our course alteration, we can be hitting the road, going out and about, in search of good times. This Sunday is a good day for a grand adventure, getting out of town, and exploring unfamiliar realms. It’s not necessary for us to travel to far distant lands, for today’s exploration can be on a local level or even in the comfort of our own home. After yesterday’s lack of energy, this Sunday has us brimming over with energy. We’re likely feeling upbeat, willing to take off our blinders, get out of our rut, and explore intent on discovery and expanding beyond our limitations. Tuesday and Sunday are the two best days of this week, even though we are still dealing with the Mercury retrograde.
