June 30th – July 6th, 2025

The astrology for this week of June 30th through July 6th of 2025 can have us taking care of mundane matters before we launch into the fun-filled events of summer’s long holiday weekend in the US celebrating Independence Day on the 4th of July.

The week begins with us tending to various issues, tying up loose ends but with little oomph to get things done.  Some of us may merely go through the motions, since for many of us we are already heading out of town, whether literally or figuratively.

This week varies between low energy and high energy, and it will be important that we work with the energies and keep abreast of when things slow down to a virtual crawl, other times when things are moving at a fast pace and accelerating.

This week is a holiday week even if we keep it merely to the long weekend.  We may deal with routine responsibilities early in the week, but our thoughts are elsewhere.  It’s summer after all, and we want to enjoy summer activities of going out on the water, getting up into the mountains, or just kicking back on our lawn chair in the back yard.

While the first two days of the week could be spent dealing with what we need to get done, mid-week may have us engaging in get-togethers with friends or planning our next grand adventure.

This is the week of the long holiday weekend, and we are likely to stretch through relaxation and recreation for much of this week.

The weekend itself may prove high energy with interesting encounters and unexpected developments, all likely to put a smile on our face.  We do need to avoid overdoing, getting caught up in the frenzy of fun activities, a flurry of social gatherings, and boisterous celebrations of American exceptionalism [USA! USA! USA!].  The weekend can have us bop ‘til we drop, but as the saying goes: “it’s all fun and games until…”

Monday, June 30th – Calm Before.  Monday has the Moon transiting Virgo, but the Moon makes no connections to the planets today.  There is not a great deal of energy to initiate or even to be highly productive.  We could spend the day with our head down, clearing the decks of outstanding matters, and trying to get many of our tasks behind us before we come too far into the week when our natural proclivity will be to jump off the tracks of our routine and fully engage the summer with summer’s holiday weekend approaching quickly at the end of the week.  It would be wise for us to take care of what we need to get done, since our interest in addressing our usual responsibilities is likely to wane as we move through this week, only to be picked up sometime next week.  Perhaps this Monday is not the most exciting day, but intense excitement awaits us over the holiday weekend.

Tuesday, July 1st – Picking up the Pace – Venus, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto.  Tuesday has the Moon completing its transit of Virgo with the Virgo Moon trine both Venus and Uranus both in Taurus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for half an hour with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra where tonight the Libra Moon opposes both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries and the Moon trines Pluto.  Much of the day has the Virgo influence and the ability for us to deal with what we need to get done.  Not only can we deal with routine matters.  We can also prepare for upcoming holiday festivities.  Shopping for additions to our environment, purchases of equipment to streamline our operations, or makeovers of our personal appearance could be ways we spend part of this Tuesday.  The evening hours may be spent in social company.  After a highly productive day, we might feel as though we can do no wrong. Such an attitude could create difficulties in our relationships if we seem too heavy-handed or too self-absorbed.  Collaborative and cooperative with an interest in what is going for the other person [people] would go a long way towards having a pleasant evening.  This Tuesday has all three of the transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto engaged, and it would be suggested that we don’t get in our own way but rather be open to the awe and wonder of the universe unfolding, often in the most unanticipated ways.

Wednesday, July 2nd – Think Before Act – Jupiter, Mercury, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course.  Wednesday has the Libra Moon sextile Mercury, and the Moon square both Jupiter and the Sun both in Cancer.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for thirty-eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio early on Friday morning.  Yesterday might have had us feeling on top of the world with everything fitting neatly into place until the evening hours.  If something went awry last night with someone diminishing our efforts, then we might have gone into withdrawal mode and considered to do what we want to do without sharing our intentions with anyone else.  This Wednesday could have us seeking to go it alone today or feeling compelled to consider home and family obligations.  What is essential for this day to be productive is for us not to act from emotion, our actions triggered by any sense of personal slights.  It would be important for us to get over any blips on the screen and avoid excessive actions or reactions.  This day calls for us to think before we act and to utilize critical analysis and our reasoning mind without our ego getting in the way.  We may be preparing or already in the mix of holiday festivities.  Let’s steer clear of grandstanding and showboating, since pretense is often seen as a mask for a sense of insecurity.

Thursday, July 3rd – Still.  Thursday continues with the Moon Void-of-Course making no connections to the planets until the Moon exits Libra tomorrow on Friday morning.  This week has a swing between high energy days and low energy days, the latter being days that are almost still.  Thursday is one of those still days.  There may be time to get together with someone, perhaps even a lot of chatter, but this day has little energy to accomplish much.  If we can start the holiday weekend early, it might be wise to do so due to the lack of energy.  Thoughts may be rampant but execution virtually non-existent.  In our fast-paced, make-it-happen lives, we tend to keep constantly busy.  We buy into the Christian theory of “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”  If we would consider a different philosophy, Taoist thought suggests that stillness generates awareness and a state of harmony.  Like a river that might seem stagnant, the river’s current may continue unnoticed deep below the surface.  Stillness becomes the foundation of movement with greater purpose.  If we would embrace stillness and become one with the natural unfolding, a state of quietude becomes the germination for our movement.  Today is a good day for us to ‘stop and smell the flowers.’

Friday, July 4th – Ratcheting Up the Exceptionalism – Pluto, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Neptune retrograde, Venus Gemini.  Friday has the Moon exiting Libra in the early morning to enter Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon squares Pluto and the Moon trines Jupiter.  Venus conjuncts Uranus just before Venus exits Taurus to enter Gemini [11:31 AM EDT].  Neptune turns retrograde [5:34 PM EDT].  Today is Independence Day in the US and with Jupiter in Cancer accentuating the US birth chart, we can hear cries of ‘USA! USA! USA!’, heralding American exceptionalism.  This Friday is the beginning of the summer’s long holiday weekend in the US, although many people are likely to have started the holiday weekend earlier in the week.  There can be serendipitous encounters today, meeting people who might have some sort of figurative magic wand.  Whether there is a quality of infatuation, parallel lives lived to this point, or some other quirky characteristics, interactions with people can be fascinating and thrilling.  While plans might hit an obstacle around mid-day, the evening hours are pleasant get-togethers with family, friends, and interesting new connections.  While our relationships recently may have been serious, committed and with a tinge of ‘what have you done for me lately’; our interests in contacts with other people are likely to move to more diverse connections with interactions being brief exchanges but with a sentiment that ‘variety is the spice of life.’  We’re in summer holiday mode and more attentive to moments of serendipity and synchronicity that come with the paradigm shift.

Saturday, July 5th – Laid Back and Resting Easy – Mercury, Mars, Sun.  Saturday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today square Mercury, the Moon sextile Mars, and the Moon trine the Sun, all in the early morning hours.  After a thrust of energy in the early morning, the energy on this Saturday dies down.  Yesterday may have been fun filled, a celebration with family and friends.  Saturday can have us cleaning up from yesterday’s festivities before we slow things down and just enjoy ourselves.  Whether we are visiting with friends, traveling, or just staying around home, this day has us animated early in the day and then kicking back and just relaxing and re-creating.  We don’t feel pushed to do much today, are likely to take the energy down a notch or two and enjoy the time to do activities we often can’t fit into our usual schedule.  This weekend allows for a ‘time out’ as we step away from our regular routine and luxuriate in the heat of the summer.  This week is a week of swings between high energy days and low energy days, and this Saturday is the latter, a low energy day sandwiched between two high energy days. This Saturday is a day when we might fully embrace the sentiment expressed in the George Gershwin classic lyric of “summertime and the livin’ is easy.”

Sunday, July 6th – Up and At ‘Em – Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, Venus.  Sunday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon opposed Uranus later in the day.  The Moon then slips into Sagittarius where tonight the Sagittarius Moon trines both Saturn and Neptune both in Aries, and the Moon opposes Venus.  Venus sextiles both Saturn and Neptune.  We may be involved with several conversations today, catching up with friends, engaging family members, and more interested in variety and brief stints of engagement than anything in depth or length.  Although we might prefer to stay around home, we could be feeling antsy and consequently going here, there, everywhere.  The evening hours could have us in exploratory mode, searching out fun events to take in, or having some people traveling back home.  This is the last day of Uranus in Taurus with Uranus moving into Gemini tomorrow.  Uranus will retrograde back into Taurus in November until the latter part of April 2026 when Uranus will come back into Gemini for its seven-year transit of the Mutable Air Sign.  This is a day when we might be ‘up and at ‘em’ with our activity increased during the evening hours.
