April 21st – 27th, 2025

The astrology for this week of April 21st through the 27th of 2025 can have high hopes dashed against the vagaries of these times unless we are able to skillfully circumnavigate the swells and stormy seas during this paradigm shift.

With the Sun having entered Taurus this past weekend, we have a Fixed Sign T-Square in play heightening the tension of the Mars Pluto opposition which we have exact over this coming Saturday.

This week may have us enthralled with spring fever no matter the weather. Let’s not be so intoxicated with possibilities that we become oblivious to what is happening around us.

Despite a relatively placid start to the week, mid-week through the weekend ratchets up the energy with a high degree of intensity and a strong dose of anxiety thrown in the mix. Welcome to the paradigm shift of radical transformations and revolutions whether we choose to go along or are dragged along.

This week starts with our gaze towards the horizon, looking forward to what we want to do and with a sense that our life is a world of limitless possibilities. And so it is.

Getting from here to there might not always seem like a walk in the park, and it would be wise for us to maintain awareness and be mindful as we venture forth.

While the unexpected might offer us welcome opportunities, the flip side of the coin are unanticipated challenges.

We may start this week in a ‘feel good’ disposition with us on greased wheels with things happening easily, but mid-week we could hit some bumps in our path with the liability of falling into victimhood and feeling as if the world is against us.

Flexibility and adaptability are called for as we come into the second half of the week. Tempering our enthusiasm, drawing upon experience honed into expertise, and taking our time to figure out what is really going on would allow us to act / react in a more measured manner.

Due to the Fixed Sign T-Square, we are liable to feel as if we are caught between a push – pull of old and new. Too much force could prove disastrous. The ability to maintain a calm demeanor, act assertively without being aggressive, and working smarter rather than harder may be the most effective means to navigate the raging rapids we are likely to encounter over the next three weeks.

The Mars Pluto opposition is engaged with a thrust giving added measure by the Taurus transiting planets. It is essential that we have healthy steam vents to release built-up frustrations. Getting out into nature, reading inspirational words, and enjoying the pleasures of burgeoning springtime are all ways for us to channel our energy in positive outlets rather than thrashing about in self-destructive actions.

Monday, April 21st – What Could Be – Pluto, Mercury. Monday begins the week with the Aquarius Moon conjunct Pluto and the Moon sextile Mercury. Coming off Easter weekend, each of us might feel our own personal resurrection, as if we are drawing upon a blank page but looking more ahead of us as to what we may choose to do instead of looking in the rearview mirror as to where we have been, who we have been, and what we have been doing. This Monday is a good day for us to consider the wide realm of possibilities and enlist suggestions from trusted friends regarding plans and options. We can sort through various proposals, give thought to those involvements that truly speak to us and discard those that seem mindless distractions. Conversations might elicit interesting insights and provide us with alternatives of which we were unaware. Easter weekend may have had us engaging social get-togethers, and this Monday we may choose to take things down a rung or two. A highly pleasant day, this Monday suggests we enjoy ourselves, reinvigorate, and recognize that later this week we begin a three-week marathon of intense incidents with times of feeling like we’re pushing ahead but making little headway.

Tuesday, April 22nd – Tarot’s Fool – Jupiter, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday continues with the Aquarius Moon with the Moon trine Jupiter early in the day, and the Moon square Uranus later in the day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces early on Wednesday morning. We could start this Tuesday in a ‘feel good’ disposition, feeling upbeat and with a sense that everything is going our way. Optimism is contagious and we could find ourselves spreading sunshine wherever we go and to whomever we meet. A lovely feeling of being confident and enthusiastic, but one that could engender a tendency of being oblivious to some of the things happening around us. Our jubilant nature can be strong during the day but later in the day unexpected developments might dampen our spirit and force us back into our body to deal with any challenges we encounter. If we go shopping today, it would be wise for us to keep receipts since late in the day we could feel buyer’s remorse, or we might discover that what we bought was not what we thought it would be. Every now and then, we are likely to be shaken from our trajectories and from any pattern of falling into automatic. These times call for us to be alert and vigilant. We’re living during changing times, volatile, turbulent times, when things can shift and dramatically alter in a nanosecond often without forewarning. This Tuesday can be one of those days, so let’s not be lulled into assumptions of linear, straight-line projections when we are going through a paradigm shift of asequential reality when things often occur in a most random and inexplicable manner.

Wednesday, April 23rd – Spirit in Action – Sun, Pluto. In the early morning hours of this Wednesday, the Moon enters Pisces where early in the morning the Pisces Moon sextiles the Sun. The Sun squares Pluto. If we keep focused on what we need to do, this Wednesday could be a highly productive and effective day.  Let’s consider what engagements truly serve a purpose and have real meaning. If we would be selective in what we engage, we can virtually move mountains. We have the faith and the intensity to make things happen, but it would be wise for us to be mindful of the conditions in which we are operating and cognizant of the law of cycles. There are times when things move easily and swiftly as they may have done over the past two days, other times when we seem to be locked in a pachinko machine and feel like one of the balls banging and crashing against brass pins; times when things are right, other times when everything seems wrong. The key to our successful navigation of these currents during this paradigm shift is to maintain awareness, employ mindfulness, and avoid any narcissistic nature of believing that we can make things happen by our force and our will. The Mars Pluto opposition that is highlighted recently, now, and over the next three weeks is in play and demands that we be cautious in our actions and avoid triggering outlandish outbursts either on our part or from someone else. These times suggest we maintain a calm attitude, avoid knee-jerk reactions, and allow things to unfold so that we might discern what is really going on.

Thursday, April 24th – Endings for New Beginnings – Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday has the Moon completing its transit of Pisces with the Pisces Moon square Jupiter, the Moon sextile Uranus, and the Moon conjunct both Saturn and Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early on Friday morning. Venus conjuncts Saturn. Pisces is the last Sign of the Zodiac, and today has the Moon concluding its month-long transit through the Zodiac wheel. Tomorrow, with the Sun’s entrance into Aries, begins a new monthly lunar cycle. Today is a day for us to bring closure to various matters, tie up loose ends, and eliminate the dross from our life. Part of the endings we might consider are not only involvements that have outlasted their benefit but also our ways of doing things. If we have been stuck in the past and gone along using old ways and clinging to familiar patterns, we might see how what worked once no longer work now. We start the day encouraged and optimistic and willing to be receptive to unexpected developments. If we get signs of altered courses of action or ways to streamline our methods of doing things, then we can engage new trajectories and see where we could rid ourselves of the outdated and no longer optimal. First, there may be endings before we can employ new beginnings.

Friday, April 25th – All Things Possible – Neptune, Mars, Pluto, Mercury. Friday has the Moon entering Aries where today the Aries Moon conjuncts Neptune, the Moon trines Mars, and the Moon sextiles Pluto, all in the morning. Late in the day, the Moon conjuncts Mercury. Self-help author Napoleon Hill penned the following affirmation: “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve regardless of how many times you may have failed in the past or how lofty your aims and hopes may be.” During this paradigm shift into asequential reality where things may occur in a most unexpected manner, as if by magic or by miracle, the truth of Hill’s statement could be increasingly borne out. With the Moon beginning its monthly long transit of the Zodiac wheel as it enters Aries today, we might find ourselves ruminating about the start-ups and new beginnings we wish to pursue. If we take the time to visualize what we want to achieve, then we could put the pedal to the metal and with dogged determination, persistence and a ‘can do’ attitude, we are likely to accomplish a great deal today both in regard to our routine obligations and towards our long-term ambitions. This Friday has us feeling Fire in our belly. Let’s take the time to consider what we wish to engage, develop a strategy and itinerary, and then move forward assertively and with full confidence of the success of our goals.

Saturday, April 26th – Too Hot to Handle – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Pluto. Saturday has the Aries Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for fifteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus early on Sunday morning. Mars opposes Pluto. We may start the Saturday full of beans, feeling upbeat and optimistic and with a sense that the world is our oyster. No matter what occurred yesterday, we might feel as though we have stepped into another dimension, a place where we find ourselves being in the right place at the right time and where many things seem to work in our favor. While we may be feeling good about things, the Mars Pluto opposition exact today can trigger intense outbursts, violent behavior, and various blasts and explosions. Today demands that we be careful with the recognition that tomorrow’s New Moon will intensify the Mars Pluto opposition with the Taurus transiting planets square each. We have already experienced the Sun poking the Mars Pluto opposition with the Sun square Mars last Sunday, and the Sun square Pluto on Wednesday. This Fixed Sign T-Square influence will continue for the next three weeks and requires that we be cautious in our actions and be wary of those people who tend to be belligerent. A lot of people are having incredible difficulty dealing with the ups and downs of these times with a liability of some people losing it and acting out in extreme measures. Now is a time for us to be careful out there, maintain a calm attitude and not react to anyone trying to trigger us.

Sunday, April 27th – Fasten Your Seat Belt – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Mars, Taurus New Moon, Sun. The Moon enters Taurus early on this Sunday and triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Taurus Moon square Pluto in Aquarius and the Moon square Mars in Leo. The Moon conjuncts the Sun at the Taurus New Moon [3:31 PM EDT] and sets up the signature influence over the next two weeks, a period that will have the Fixed Sign T-Square with the Mars Pluto opposition accentuated. The intensity may be off the charts with extreme volatility. We may feel our security threatened whether a result of equity markets turmoil, threats of war whether trade wars or hot wars, and a lack of stability as any sense of normality or normalcy goes out the window. Let’s keep in mind that we signed up for these times. The more we can maintain a sense of feeling grounded, avoid snap judgments or knee-jerk reactions, the less likely we are to be caught up in the maelstrom of these intense energy configurations. Many people may be waiting for a shoe to drop, and we might see indications that things are off the tracks. If we would be patient, take things step-by-step, and focus on our long-term plans, then we can make it through what might prove a most challenging time. Let’s use this New Moon to make our affirmations of feeling secure in an insecure world and strengthening our inner core to effectively deal with whatever comes our way. I would also suggest we remind ourselves repeatedly of the wise and true saying: “we never get more than we can handle.”
