February 3rd – 9th, 2025

The astrology for this week of February 3rd through the 9th of 2025 offers up a palette of diverse and exciting activities.

The week begins with us feeling upbeat and inspired and able to envision but without much follow through or implementation.  We might be just feeling the mid-winter chill of chilling.

Some people are likely focused on the upcoming Super Bowl on Sunday, spending time chatting up the prospects, sharing their fantasy football successes, and planning the party preparations for good food, good drink, and good friends for a good time.

We may be more interested in the possibilities than the realities this week with all of us seeking to shake off the winter doldrums in our escapisms to better and brighter days.

Tuesday has Venus exiting Pisces to enter Aries, a Sign of Detriment for Venus with the liability of each of us judging our relationships under the attitude of ‘what have you done for me lately?’  People can be a little full of themselves or at the very least more self-absorbed than collaborative.

The Stellium in Pisces ends as Venus enters Aries.  We do pick up some Fire, which has been lacking.  On the same day, Jupiter turns direct.  We could be off to the races as we look at forging ahead in whatever direction or directions we choose.

The latter part of the week has us in good cheer in our conversations, our interactions with other folk, and our imbibing.

The weekend is party time as we gear up for the big game or use it solely for an excuse to step off the track and enjoy ourselves. Whether involved with other people for a group viewing of ‘the game’ or a party of one, we welcome the diversion and license to indulge.  And then comes the aftermath on Monday.

Monday, February 3rd – Feeling Groovy – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Jupiter.  Monday begins this week with the Moon in Aries and the Aries Moon square Mars.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over seventeen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus towards the end of the day.  Mercury trines Jupiter.  We may feel blocked by our obligations and responsibilities as we start this week.  Like a child, we might express our frustration by throwing a tantrum or refusing to do anything expected of us.  This can be a day of spinning our wheels, shifting our focus to non-productive areas, and engaging in wonderful thoughts and scintillating conversations, but not getting much done.  We are likely feeling good about things, believing that we’ve put one over on the powers-that-be or the expectations placed on us, but it may turn out that the only one we’re fooling is only ourselves.  Let’s not put demands on ourselves today, since we won’t try to even accede to them.  This is one of those la-de-da days to have lofty thoughts, fun discussions and consider the wide realm of imagined possibilities.

Tuesday, February 4th – Dance to the Music, Pay to the Piper – Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter direct, Venus Aries.  Tuesday has the Taurus Moon square Pluto to begin the day, and the Moon square Mercury late in the day.  Both Pluto and Mercury are transiting Aquarius.  Venus exits Pisces and enters Aries [2:57 AM EST], and Jupiter turns direct [4:40 AM EST]. With an insistence to get on with what we want, this Tuesday might have us spending more on our proposals than considering any wise budgetary restraints.  This is a day when what we want, we shall have, the consequences be damned.  With Venus entering Aries, a Sign of Detriment for Venus, our relationship tendencies may embrace the attitude of ‘it’s all about me’.  We gain Fire with Venus in Aries, but our connections with other people might be more self-focused than collaborative.  With Jupiter turning direct in Gemini, a Sign of Detriment for Jupiter with our interest on more, more, more rather than concentrated or selective, we could feel liberated from any restrictions and ready to go full-on anything and everything we choose to sample.  Braking actions would be suggested to avoid us hurtling in a narcissistic manner to appearances whose content might not reflect the images presented.

Wednesday, February 5th – Getting Down to Business – Sun, Saturn, Mars, Uranus, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course.  Wednesday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today square the Sun, the Moon conjunct Uranus and the Moon sextile Saturn, Mars, and Neptune.  At the end of the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini early on Thursday morning.  This can be a highly productive day, a day when we get down to business, take care of our responsibilities, and accomplish a great deal both by the sweat of our brow and with innovative techniques or tools to get things done.  We might feel that we would prefer to attend to future projects or just gear up for a weekend of partying, but today should not be lost to the frivolous when we could be highly productive and effective with what we need to get done.  Let’s concentrate on our goals, both short-term and long-term.  We can deal with pressing demands and present obligations, all the while laying down the foundation stones for future endeavors.  Time management skills along with new ways of doing things could help us accomplish more than we might have imagined.  Today is a day for us to whistle while we work and enjoy the success of our results.

Thursday, February 6th – You as a Better Reflection of Me – Venus, Pluto, Jupiter.  Thursday has the Moon entering Gemini where today the Gemini Moon sextiles Venus, the Moon trines Pluto, and the Moon conjuncts Jupiter.  This day could put a smile on our face.  Not only might our relationships seem upbeat and engaging with a sense that everyone seems to be dancing to our tune.  We may also feel that contacts provide surprising advocacy and encouragement of our greatest ambitions.  Everything seems to go swimmingly and a perfect day to get together with friends, loved ones, and strangers off the street.  While a lot of people have been down in the dumps, moaning and complaining, there seems to be a halo of brightness and sunshine [figurative if not literal] on this Thursday.  Our interests may be sampling this, trying that, and enjoying momentary engagements rather than staying at the party too long.  This is a day for us to do whatever catches our fancy with the added enjoyment of someone joining us in singing our praises.  While this can be an especially upbeat day and a day when we see and might choose to experience a wide realm of possibilities, we do have to be wary of irrational exuberance.  Yes, the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are pleasantly engaged, but let’s keep in mind that we’re also dealing with the Jupiter Saturn square of expansion then contraction.  Today, we have the expansionary energies, tomorrow Saturn is engaged, and the restraints come back.  It would be suggested that we remember the admonition ‘moderation in all things.’  We might want to modulate our enthusiasm and exuberance today.  We can enjoy ourselves, have a good time and feel good about everything, but let’s avoid excess or extreme indulgences.

Friday, February 7th – Nothing Too Much – Mercury, Saturn, Sun, Venus, Pluto.  Friday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today trine Mercury, the Moon square Saturn, and the Moon trine the Sun.  Venus sextiles Pluto.  Most of the energy configurations occur early in the day and could be focused more on our relationships than dealing with our responsibilities.  People may be geared up for the weekend and choosing to start the weekend early.  Pressing demands can be left pressing until after the weekend and Super Bowl Hangover Monday.  This Friday is a good day to reach out to various people, engage them in our plans, and talk up a storm about get-togethers and future prospects.  With Super Bowl weekend upon us, not a great amount of work or attending to our ‘to do’ list will likely get done.  On the contrary, whether we involve ourselves with football’s ‘the game’ or not, the atmosphere in the environment is largely centered around good times with good friends with this Friday being indicative of such an intention.  Let’s enjoy ourselves with the recognition that for all intents and purposes we are starting a four-day weekend.

Saturday, February 8th – Are You Ready – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus.  Saturday begins in the early hours with the Gemini Moon square Neptune.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer where today the Cancer Moon squares Venus.  We may feel flummoxed with the sense that we have so much to do and so little time to do it.  Perhaps under the spell of exuberance and optimism the past few days, we have placed a lot on our plate, committed to doing too much, and now feel overwhelmed by the dangling items we need to address.  Although our preference might be just to stay put, enjoy the comforts of our home fires, our desires might have to take a back burner to whatever we need to get done.  This is a day when we can be straightening out, cleaning up, and getting ready either for Super Bowl Sunday or just attending to the many errands that our high maintenance lifestyle requires.  Let’s try not to stress.  Even if we feel we are not ready for this weekend, the idea is to enjoy the weekend rather than making it a painful ordeal.

Sunday, February 9th – Geared Up and Ready to Go – Mars, Saturn, Sun, Mercury.  Sunday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today conjunct Mars and the Moon trine Saturn.  Mars trines Saturn, and the Sun conjuncts Mercury.  It’s Super Bowl Sunday and whether we are intent on the game or not, the atmosphere and the hype raises the temperature level with everyone liable to be feeling an adrenaline rush.  This is a day that culminates football season and is the final nail in the coffin of the lost past autumn season.  Parties are part of this day with many people amped up in support of their favorite team.  It’s almost reminiscent of the games during Colosseum days in ancient Rome with human criminals facing off against various wild animals, although today’s game seems more civilized with human against human rather than human facing animals.  The observers, however, can get far more agitated than the players on the field. If we do not partake in the festivities associated with the Super Bowl game, then this day could be a day like yesterday when we can put great effort in accomplishing items on our ‘to do’ list around our home.  Either way, it would be wise to keep in mind that after this Sunday the winter doldrums are liable to hit hard. Along with our engagement of this day, we might want to give thought to future travel plans or future engagements that we can look forward to in order to displace the angst of seasonal depression [seasonal affective disorder].
