February 10th – 16th, 2025

The astrology for this week of February 10th through the 16th of 2025 can have us trying to keep a grip on things, all the while unexpected developments might disrupt our plans and our progress forward.

The first half of this week is liable to have monkey wrenches thrown in the spokes of our wheels.  Things that we are unable to plan for could pop up, throw us off center, and demand that we make alterations to our schedule and course of action.

Although the winter doldrums may severely set in, we are unlikely to have time to catch our breath, much less commiserate with other people about the weather, state of world affairs, or our own personal dramas.

On the contrary, we may have to engage the suggestion of Patches O’Houlihan in the movie Dodgeball: “dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.”

The early part of this week has us like a cat on a hot tin roof, jumping and scrambling to deal with things coming at us from right, left, and center.

We are dealing with the Uranus squares with Monday offering up my least favorite aspect, Mercury square Uranus, for air travel. Disruptions, delays, and all sorts of misses can occur with traffic, high technology, and our communications.

The Uranus square ratchets up with the Full Moon on Wednesday, so these first three days of this week suggest, no, really demand, that we keep on our toes and are able to adjust and alter according to changing circumstance.

The latter part of the week may have us playing catchup as we try and deal with those matters that we had intended to address earlier in the week but which we were pulled away from by unanticipated circumstances.

Friday is Valentine’s Day.  The problem with Hallmark holidays is the liability of setting ourselves up with high expectations, which are sometimes unable to be met.  Let’s enjoy the day and even a sense of reveries but not hold out for some mythical, idyllic creature to appear at our door.  Maybe will, possibly won’t

The weekend can be a highly pleasant time of social interactions and quality moments with our special someone[s].

Monday, February 10th – What Comes After – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto, Venus, Mercury, Uranus.  Monday begins this week with the Cancer Moon trine Neptune.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon moves into Leo where today the Leo Moon opposes Pluto towards the end of the workday, and the Moon trines Venus in the evening.  My least favorite energy configuration for air travel, Mercury square Uranus, is in play and kicks off three days of squares to Uranus, Mercury today, the Sun tomorrow, and the Full Moon on Wednesday.  This is the day after the Super Bowl, a day that is estimated to cost employers $4 billion in lost productivity to the ‘Super Bowl flu’.  Employees call in sick, often true to the hangover from the lingering effects of the night before and imbibing to excess.  Even if employees show up for work, little work is likely to get done as people rally around the cooler and take turns Monday morning quarterbacking with their critiques of ‘the game’.  Even if we maintain a semblance of stability and perseverance on this Monday, unexpected situations could arise that knock us off our pace.  There may be computer issues, communication problems and any sort of flummox to impede our progress forward.  It would be wise for us to lower our expectations for the first three days of this week but maintain awareness, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.

Tuesday, February 11th – With or Against – Jupiter, Sun, Uranus.  The Leo Moon sextiles Jupiter to begin the day.  The Sun squares Uranus.  We could start the day feeling upbeat, optimistic, and confident.  We might feel that nothing can go wrong, and any such attitude may prove our undoing.  Someone is likely to encourage us, advocate for us, and seem to have our best interests at heart.  What we need to avoid is embracing irrational exuberance, for we are liable to assume that everything will work out in our favor, which might be true early in the day until we encounter unplanned situations that suddenly arise to trip us up.  During this time of paradigm shift, there are times when we are pleasantly surprised by elements of magic and mini-miracles, other times when the best laid plans are wrecked by unexpected factors that we could not even account for in our planning.  These volatile times often are metronome-like, going from one extreme and then to the other.  This day may be evident of the whipsaws between enthusiasm and despair.  Even our relationships today could turn on a dime with us enjoying the company of someone early in the day only to be disappointed, even betrayed by their antics later in the day.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week can be a little crazy making with the recognition that no matter how focused we are or how concentrated our efforts might be things happen that force us to adapt, adjust and alter.  As the Taoist saying reminds us: ‘bend like a reed or break like an oak’.

Wednesday, February 12th – All Fall Down – Uranus, Leo Full Moon, Sun, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course.  Wednesday has the Leo Full Moon [8:53 AM EST] with the Sun Moon opposition square Uranus and the Moon opposed Mercury.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost six hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Leo and before the Moon moves into Virgo later in the day.  The Virgo Moon makes no connections to the planets today.  This Wednesday can be difficult.  We Might feel stymied at every turn.  The Full Moon with the square to Uranus is a Fixed Sign T-Square, necessitating the fourth Fixed Sign Element, Scorpio.  The last two days might have prepared us for this Full Moon.  We may have encountered various unexpected situations wreaking havoc with our plans, putting a damper on our goals, and leaving us feeling like we are banging our head against the wall.  It would be wise for us not to personalize any frustrations but recognize instead that tweaking, changing, and altering might be the best course of action.  If we need to throw in the towel on certain projects, so be it, since perhaps they would no longer benefit us in the long-term.  Or maybe we just need to do things in a different way.  Let’s avoid going to the wailing wall if things go awry today and accept that things do work out for the best in the end.  While these three days of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday could prove challenging, they don’t need to be a crash and burn. We just should accept any blockages as a way of shifting and changing.  Not everything has to all fall down.

Thursday, February 13th – Take a Break – Jupiter.  Thursday has the Moon in Virgo without much energy today except for the Moon square Jupiter late in the day.  We may have felt slightly battered and bruised over the past three days thanks to the squares to Uranus, and this Thursday would be a day for us to pick up the pieces.  No stress today, for we may have experienced enough of it over the past few days.  We might choose to attend to the many details of our lives, straighten up and clean out.  Today is a good day for us to have our head down and just take care of our obligations and attend to routine matters.  Various curveballs may have come our way over the past three days, and today is best served as a catchup day but with little pressure on ourselves.  If we feel like taking it easy, resting, relaxing, and catching our breath, this day would be a day for us to do so.  Tomorrow and the weekend can have us in relationship mode, so quiet time for oneself today would provide a thankful respite from all the craziness going on out in the world.  Late in the day, we could be enticed to get back at it with a pre-Valentine’s Day of spending time with a special someone.  Let’s keep from going overboard.  Once we catch our breath, we might be back into accelerated mode and liable to exhaust oneself.

Friday, February 14th – No Same Old, Same Old – Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Mercury Pisces.  Friday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon sextile Mars early in the day, the Moon opposed Saturn, and the Moon trine Uranus in the evening.  Mercury exits Aquarius to enter Pisces [7:06 AM EST], ending the Stellium in Aquarius and triggering a Stellium in the Water Mutable Sign as Mercury joins Saturn and Neptune in Pisces.  Mercury is in Detriment in Pisces, for we tend to think from our emotions.  Reasoning thinking and rational analysis are lost to moods and feelings.  This Friday is Valentine’s Day, and it would be wise for us to lower our expectations.  We may have great intentions today, but our plans in implementation could fall short compared to conceptions.  The Eeyores and Debbie Downers might be out in force with nothing being good enough, nothing being right.  Let’s shake off our anticipations for this day and be open to creating splendid surprises and spontaneous actions for our evening.  We aren’t interested in same old, same old.  We’ve grown beyond it.  Besides, life has become so bizarre that any attempt at the same old might just fall flat.  While the day might seem blah, surprising developments late in the day can lift our spirits and give evidence to the wondrous magic in the world.

Saturday, February 15th – Me, Thee, We – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto, Venus.  Saturday begins with the Virgo Moon opposed Neptune.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra where today the Libra Moon trines Pluto mid-day and the Moon opposes Venus at night.  This day may be reminiscent of the classic song Young at Heart made famous by Frank Sinatra with the lyrics: “Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you If you’re young at heart.”  Whether Valentine’s Day was a disappointment for us or not, it may have been dependent upon our expectations rather than the reality of the situation.  We can get a better handle on our relationships on this Saturday, and time spent with a special someone today might prove close to idyllic.  Quality of time is far better than quantity of time today, so let’s avoid trying to milk any enjoyable engagements by keeping them going on and on, even after the thrill has worn off.  Relationships could get a little testy in the evening as the focus on the we turns into a tug-of-war between the interests of me or thee.

Sunday, February 16th – Exhausting Oneself from Good Times – Jupiter, Mars.  Sunday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today trine Jupiter to begin our day and the Moon square Mars later in the day.  We may be up and out the door to spend time with friends and participate in various re-creational activities.  We could feel a burst of energy and upbeat feelings as we start our Sunday.  Although too much is often too much, we might be gung-ho today to do any number of activities and go full tilt with each one.  Fun is fun, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t wear ourselves out and exhaust ourselves.  And that might be the case today.  We could have so much going on today that by the end of the day our energy is diminished, and we need to call it an early night.  Moderation would be considered, less likely engaged.  We are more likely to embrace the spirit of ‘live for today and don’t worry about tomorrow’.  Good times during the day, liable to be exhausted by nightfall.
