The astrology for this week of January 27th through February 2nd of 2025 offers us the hope and confidence of a new age as we step across the threshold into revolutionary times.
We might feel as though this week is a week that we have been living for, and it would be suggested that we take full advantage by our focusing on possibilities, even the seemingly impossible. Increasingly, we shall witness evidence of the paradigm shift in which we are operating where things occur in a magical, even miraculous, manner.
Let the good times roll.
The week begins with Mercury exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius and triggering a Stellium in the Fixed Air Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Pluto in Aquarius. Our thoughts can be incisive with us looking more to the far horizon rather than what is right in front of us. We may be unburdened by our past as we see a wide realm of possibilities and a broad range of what we could engage in our days ahead.
Even if the Eeyores, Debbie Downers and naysayers with their dystopian view of the future are barking their anxieties, we may have none of it.
We are in a special time, a time when the two universal Signs, Aquarius and Pisces, are emphasized with Stelliums of three planets in each. Our interests lie beyond our mundane realities even into the extra-worldly.
Mid-week has the Aquarius New Moon truly triggering the hopes and dreams of our future, aided by a beneficial connection to Jupiter and by Uranus ending its retrograde motion and turning direct. We are on our way into the future.
The weekend can be close to idyllic and a good time for us to reflect on where we are and how we could choose to incorporate a heaven on earth for ourselves. Our moods and emotions might be enhanced by the special qualities we see in our relationships, but like the metronome-swing of these times we need to avoid falling into irrational exuberance. Maintaining a grip on our mundane realities, we could feel the wind to our back with a sense that all will be right in our world.
We are in times when it is right for us to take machete in hand and carve our own individual path.
Monday, January 27th – Don’t Get Lost in the Weeds – Saturn, Mars, Mercury Aquarius. Monday begins this week with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today sextile Saturn and the Moon opposed Mars. Mercury exits Capricorn and enters Aquarius [9:53 PM EST], triggering a Stellium in the Fixed Air Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Pluto in Aquarius. Proper planning may get us on the right track as we start this week, but we need to be wary that we don’t get so absorbed in the details that we lost sight of the big picture. Today and tomorrow, we are on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to Wednesday’s New Moon and consequently today and tomorrow are far better days for us to resolve, complete and conclude rather than initiate or implement. We can clean things up, clear things out, all with a recognition that by unburdening ourselves from outstanding past matters we shall have a clean slate upon which to draw our future endeavors. Let’s keep in mind our big picture and not get so immersed in the particulars, that we get lost in the weeds, feel emotionally drained with our confidence ebbing away. We are on the threshold of the dawning of a new day both for our individual lives and for the collective. First, out with the old before bringing in the new.
Tuesday, January 28th – All Together Now – Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Pluto. Tuesday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today trine Uranus, and the Moon sextile both Venus and Neptune both in Pisces. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes is transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius were today the Aquarius Moon conjuncts both Mercury and Pluto. As we have experienced over the past few months, the three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are engaged. This Tuesday suggests we get out of our own way, be open to heeding insights, and be willing to do things differently even to the point of altering our routine and determining new trajectories for oneself on this Tuesday. Magic is in the air, and we just need to be open and receptive to take advantage of surprising developments. We are still on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon, but we could be champing at the bit to get on with things and cross the threshold into a new and exciting future. This Tuesday is a good day to both conclude various matters and to prepare for our days ahead. Let’s keep in mind that during this paradigm shift we do NOT have to do it all but have the universal energies working on our behalf. By being mindful and keeping aware of the shifts and changes no matter how dramatic or miniscule they might be we can act in accord with the universal unfolding and engage our role as co-creators to ease our way towards our personal destiny.
Wednesday, January 29th – the Future is Now – Aquarius New Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, Pluto. Wednesday has the Aquarius New Moon with the Sun Moon conjunction [7:36 AM EST] and the beginning of the Chinese New Year, this one being the year of the yin wood snake. The New Moon trines Jupiter with the Moon trine Jupiter exact today, the Sun trine Jupiter exact tomorrow. Mercury conjuncts Pluto. These are powerful energy configurations and really speaks to the advent of the Age of Aquarius pronounced by the forthcoming technological revolution. With the snake known for its wisdom and precision, this Chinese New Year promises a slow evolution as we concentrate on our true purpose, our soul’s destiny. Timing is everything. Transformation can be dramatic and subtle, but the snake does shed its skin, which for us in alchemical terms has our base mettle turning into gold. Just as with every New Moon, it would be suggested that we take the time to infuse a sense of purpose and what we wish to accomplish under the waxing Moon and with this particular New Moon what we wish to achieve in our year ahead. We may feel on top of the world, confident, optimistic and with a sense that things will work out to our benefit. We can dispel the anxieties and fears and replace them with excitement and the willingness to adapt to altering our course when conditions warrant.
Thursday, January 30th – Added Emphasis – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Jupiter, Uranus direct. Thursday begins with the Moon finishing its transit of Aquarius with the Aquarius Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eleven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces later in the day. The Pisces Moon makes no connections to the planets today. The Sun trines Jupiter and Uranus turns direct [11:22 AM EST]. With Uranus ruling Aquarius, the shift in motion by Uranus augments the Aquarian energy and the promise of a new age powered by the technological revolution of which we are becoming increasingly aware. We may feel upbeat and inspired as we consider the broad options at our disposal. Relationships might seem idyllic as we appreciate the varied experiences of those people we encounter. We are on the threshold of a new age. We are going through a paradigm shift where what occurs and how it occurs can be quite a dramatic alteration to the way life used to be. We are moving from linear, sequential reality into asequential reality where things may no longer occur in a beginning – middle – end fashion but in a random and even inexplicable manner. This change in reality can be challenging to those of us conditioned into sequential progressions with the added belief that we are in total control of our life’s journey. To some degree we still are in control by our choices and our use of our free will. But the game board has shifted with us having to be fully aware of the shifts and changes occurring in the most unexpected ways. Today can have us feeling upbeat and inspired as we consider the broad options at our disposal. Relationships might seem idyllic as we appreciate the varied experiences of those people we encounter.
Friday, January 31st – Before There Here – Jupiter, Saturn. Friday has the Pisces Moon with the Moon square Jupiter early in the day and the Moon conjunct Saturn to end the day. We could be feeling on top of the world as we start this Friday. The last two days may have seemed magical, as if everything were going our way with some surprising developments and interesting opportunities thrown in the mix. The Jupiter Gemini and Saturn Pisces square is in play today. Expansion – Contraction, with the morning hours providing us the thrust to do evermore with a sense that we are being divinely guided and that everything will fall neatly into place in accord with our liking. Nice concept, but it may not be the reality of the metronome-like characteristics of these times. The challenge for each of is to find the balance point between irrational exuberance and deathening despair. While it would be nice for us to live in a mutual admiration society, where we appreciate and encourage each other, that is no likely the present case. On the contrary, there are people envious of other people’s success. If crabs are in a bucket and one crab tries to climb out of the bucket, other crabs tend to pull the crab back down. It’s sometimes that way with humans. There are people who resent the success of other people and try to negate the other person’s accomplishments. It’s often a question of compare and despair. We might experience such a bizarre behavior this Friday with us upbeat and engaged and feeling good about life in the morning hours only to be depleted, exhausted and depressed as we end the day, either by our own self-recriminations or the actions of someone else. Expansion – contraction with the point being to find the middle way.
Saturday, February 1st – The Wonder of It All – Mars, Uranus, Neptune, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto. Saturday continues with the Moon in Pisces with the Pisces Moon trine Mars, the Moon sextile Uranus, and the Moon conjunct both Neptune and Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries where the Aries Moon closes out this Saturday with a sextile to Pluto. Venus conjuncts Neptune. Like recent days, the Moon engages the three transcendental planets. This Saturday can seem like an other-worldly experience, and it would be wise for us to take time, even if just brief moments, to stop and savor the beauty and bounty in which we find ourselves. Our relationships can seem close to idyllic. This is one of the days when we can be enamored by what we see or feel. We could find ourselves either enjoying the ideal or else immersed in the delusional. While this day can be an extraordinary experience and a glimpse into perfect harmony, we do need to maintain vigilance and not buy into appearance or by swayed by our emotions without serious evaluation as to what is being presented to us. If we maintain our center and are strong within our core, we could experience the wonder of it all.
Sunday, February 2nd – All Things Possible – Mercury, Jupiter, Sun. Sunday continues with the Aries Moon with the Aries Moon today sextile Mercury to begin the day, the Moon trine Jupiter in the afternoon, and the Moon sextile the Sun in the evening. We could embark on a grand adventure on this Sunday, whether literally or figuratively. We are ready to proceed along new trajectories and those that provide creative outlets for our self-expression. No matter the format we engage, we want to make our mark on this day. Exploring possibilities, investigating new terrain, and enjoying the company of that special someone or with good friends can all be part of this Sunday. It may be winter in nature, but the sun is shining in our heart. Today is a good day to consider plans for our future, those things that would speak to us and allow us to fully express our talents. Today is a day when we may realize that during this paradigm shift all things are possible.
