The astrology for this week of November 18th through the 24th of 2024 has significant changes that usher us into a new age, a revolutionary period of radical reformations, technological wizardry, and power to the people.
The week begins with many of us feeling as though we are on the precipice of gigantic change, changes that may be terrifying for some, welcomed by others.
Early in the week, we have a major Sign change with Pluto exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius and transit the Fixed Air Sign for a little over nineteen years. The significance cannot be discounted, for the last time Pluto transited Aquarius was in the late 1700’s, a period that included the American Revolution, the French Revolution, and the early stages of the Industrial Revolution.
We are entering a New Age, a time when the paradigm shift, which we have been experiencing in recent months and years, is increasingly ratcheted up. Asequential, non-linear reality becomes more the norm.
The fourth dimension of space – time coordinates collapses, and the fifth dimension where past, present, and future are all NOW becomes more evident. Boundaries between other dimensions become thinner, and there is greater transparency both in regard to ordinary matters and extraordinary phenomena.
These are exciting times, but like any birthing there can be extreme growing pains.
Besides the Pluto Sign change, this week also has the Sun exiting Scorpio to enter Sagittarius for its month-long transit of the Mutable Fire Sign.
We can feel more uplifted, casting our eyes towards the far horizons with a sense of confidence and optimism that we are able to handle whatever comes our way.
The weekend may have us focused both on getting our house in order and holiday preparations. We are about to enter next week another, and this year’s last, three-week Mercury retrograde cycle when Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’ is back in effect.
Monday, November 18th – All This and More – Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Sun, Neptune. Monday begins this week with the Moon entering Cancer where today the Cancer Moon opposes Venus. Mercury opposes Jupiter, and the Sun trines Neptune. Although there can be push – pulls today between staying at home and venturing out into the world, we do need to avoid the too muches today. With Mercury and Jupiter both being in Signs of their Detriment and both being in Signs ruled by the other creating a Mutual Reception and heightening their influence, we could be a little overconfident and may assume that we are able to take on more than even humanly possible. Without doing our due diligence, we might easily gloss over significant factors, important details, and just go for the gold based upon irrational exuberance rather than critical thinking. Taking time late in the day to meditate, contemplate and reflect on all the good things in our life can fortify our faith and our belief that things do work out for the best in the end.
Tuesday, November 19th – Dawning of a New Age – Saturn, Uranus, Pluto Aquarius. Tuesday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon trine Saturn early in the day and the Moon sextile Uranus to end the day. Pluto ends its transit of Capricorn, which first began back in 2008, and enters Aquarius [3:29 PM EST] for a nineteen-year cycle. We are moving into a new age, a revolution of technological advances and independent individual endeavors. Today gives us the impetus to determine the foundation stones of our future, tweak them when necessary as changing circumstance warrants, and allows us to build upon rock with solid underpinnings. A caveat I would suggest is our physical well-being. The Pluto Aquarius by Sign will be opposed by Mars while Mars transits Leo, an influence that goes on from now into early January and then again from mid-April through mid-June, with the opposition exact on January 3rd and again on April 26th. During this period of the Mars Leo opposition to Pluto Aquarius, it would be wise that we be judicious with our physical energy, avoid overexertion and prevent extreme pressure on our heart. There might be increased incidence of heart attacks. As we have experienced over recent months, the Moon’s transit triggers the three transcendental planets. We have it today and tomorrow with the Moon sextile Uranus tonight, and the Moon aspecting Neptune and Pluto tomorrow. Increasingly, we have the opportunity of working smarter rather than harder by drawing both upon developing technological tools and our willingness to get out of our own way of total control over situations and accept a co-creator role in concert with the universal energies unfolding. The potential for a Golden Age is upon us, and especially so if we adjust our early conditioning of control issues and be flexible and adaptable to the changing times.
Wednesday, November 20th – In the Middle of the Night – Lunar Grand Trine, Neptune, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto, Mars. Wednesday begins the day in the early morning hours with the Cancer Moon triggering a Water Grand Trine with the Cancer Moon trine Neptune in Pisces and the Moon trine the Sun in Scorpio. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo where today the Leo Moon opposes Pluto and the Moon conjuncts Mars. One of the great wisdom teachers of the 20th Century, Manly Palmer Hall would say that when we go to sleep, we go to school. Those things we did not learn or understand in our ‘waking’ state, we might comprehend in our dream state. This Wednesday offers a pleasing dream state, encouraging us that everything is all right. In our waking state, we might feel anxious and concerned about what is going on in our personal lives and in the world-at-large. But our dream state on this Wednesday may comfort us and provide solace to us from the daily harrowing world. Our waking state today, however, could give us indications of the Mars Pluto opposition. We need to be wary of people acting out, our own impulsive actions, and indications of matters built upon sand crumbling or washing away. Let’s notate any weakening of old structures, for we are in a transformative time, a time of radical movements, a time when change is liable to bring down the old and outmoded, but like the phoenix rising from its ashes, we too can rise and soar ever higher.
Thursday, November 21st – Bright and Sparkling – Jupiter, Sun, Pluto, Sun Sagittarius. The Moon continues its transit of Leo with the Leo Moon sextile Jupiter later in the day. The Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius [2:56 PM EST] and shortly thereafter the Sun sextiles Pluto. This Thursday can be one of those ‘feel good’ days when everything seems bright and sparkly. We may feel pumped up, confident, optimistic, and enthusiastic about our prospects. This is a day for us to give thought to truly meaningful endeavors, those involvements that speak to us deeply. We are willing to go for the gold, not interested in the pyrite of fool’s gold, but rather engagements that make us feel that life is worth fully living. Our good nature could prove contagious, and the evening hours may offer special moments with a significant other. This Thursday is not a day to be lost by looking at the flaws and frailties, or staring down at the ground, but rather a day to see the beauties and bounties in our life and look up to the promise of distant horizons and glorious tomorrows.
Friday, November 22nd – Bloom off the Rose – Mercury Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Venus, Saturn. Friday begins the day with the Leo Moon trine Mercury and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes is transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo where late in the day the Virgo Moon squares the Sun. Venus sextiles Saturn. Yesterday could have had us on a natural ‘high’ with us feeling good about almost everything. Perhaps we might even have adopted an attitude of irrational exuberance seeing only the bright and beautiful and dismissing any warts or problems. We could continue in that vein during the early morning hours of this Friday until an unexpected development gives us a whack on the side of the head and demands our wakeup to reality. No matter what our plans for this day might be, things may not go according to plan. Issues we had not accounted for, or even been able to consider, might force us to alter our schedule and adapt to changing circumstance. While we could be bowled over by whatever comes up suddenly, it would be wise for us to draw upon someone’s objective opinion to sort things through and give us a detached perspective regarding what seems to be going on and provide suggestions as to how we can best navigate the shifting currents. Late in the day, we may feel as though we have work to be done. Yesterday was geared towards ‘good times with good friends’, this Friday evening not so much. Obligations and responsibilities can be beckoning, and our plans for the weekend could alter from fun engagements to addressing mundane matters.
Saturday, November 23rd – Whistle While We Work – Saturn, Venus. Saturday has the Moon in Virgo with the Moon in the evening hours opposed Saturn and the Moon trine Venus. Today and tomorrow, the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign Grand Cross with the Virgo Moon opposed Saturn in Pisces today, and the Moon square Jupiter in Gemini and the Moon square Mercury in
Sagittarius tomorrow. This weekend is a time for us to clean things up. This coming Monday, Mercury turns retrograde for its three-week retrograde cycle and enforces Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’. Today and tomorrow are days for us to complete significant matters and prepare for the holidays ahead. The holidays truly kick off this next week, Thanksgiving week, and runs through the next five weeks into the new year. Hopefully, we used Thursday as our week’s fun day, for now may be a time for us to hunker down and take care of what needs to get done. If we would avoid grousing about what we need to attend to and just do it, we might find that someone is willing to pitch in and help us accomplish our tasks. Far better for us to whistle while we work rather than moaning and groaning. Besides, if we procrastinate and bring our outstanding matters into the next three weeks during a Mercury retrograde, there is the possibility that things could go askew and need more than one and done to accomplish our obligations.
Sunday, November 24th – Wasted Time, Wasted Energy – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Mercury, Uranus. Sunday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Virgo Moon square Jupiter in Gemini early in the day, and the Moon square Mercury in Sagittarius later in the day. The evening hours have the Moon trine Uranus. The T-Square today is actually the completion of the Mutable Grand Cross that began yesterday with the Moon opposed Saturn. This day demands that we create a ‘to do’ list of all the things we want to accomplish today. With Mercury stationary prior to Mercury turning retrograde tomorrow, things can get a little squirrely, especially if we do not have itinerary in hand and check off items as we go. We could assume that we can do any number of things today, do so impetuously and without engaging time management skills. And therein could lie a problem with a liability of our running around going from one thing to another to another, but not being effective or productive as a result. Let’s not waste time or waste our energy today. This weekend is geared to tying up loose ends that we don’t wish to deal with during the Mercury retrograde and before year’s end and to prepare for our holiday festivities.
