Now that the die is cast regarding the two major political parties for this November US presidential election with Harris – Walz for the Democrats and Trump – Vance for the Republicans, I shall wander into the muck and mire of politics and make my suggestions based upon the astrological energies as I interpret them.
One of the more fascinating characteristics regarding Harris and Trump is the fact that both come in at the time of a Full Moon, and that both have a Sun – Moon opposition configuration in Air & Fire Signs — Harris with the Libra Sun [Air] and Aries Moon [Fire], and Trump with the Gemini Sun [Air] and Sagittarius Moon [Fire].
We have the birth information for both Harris and Trump and only the day and place of birth for Vice-Presidential candidates Walz and Vance.
Kamala Harris was born October 20th, 1964, at 9:28 PM in Oakland, California. She comes in at the time of a Full Moon with her Libra Sun opposed her Aries Moon. She has a Stellium [powerpack] in Virgo with her Venus, Uranus, and Pluto all in the Mutable Earth Sign. With all three of the Virgo planets in the second decanate of Virgo with a Capricorn influence, her relationships are focused on how they can assist her in achieving her goals, realizing her ambitions. With the Virgo influence and Mercury in Scorpio she can be intense in her expectations of those working with her, for her, a trait indicated by the revolving door of people who have worked for her. There is also a certain level of insecurity she has, even questioning whether she is good enough. She benefits from people who act as a support system for her.
In her progressed chart for Election Day 2024, Harris has her progressed Sun in Sagittarius in orb of a trine to her natal Moon and sextile to her natal Sun. Her progressed Moon is sextile her three planets in Virgo and moving into a trine to her natal Neptune. The image is paramount, and let’s keep in mind that much of electioneering is all about image and presentation and impressions more than policy or policy details. As often suggested, people often vote for President more based upon with whom they would like to have a beer than based upon policy issues.
Women’s vote may be a determining factor and with the progressed Moon in Cancer, Harris might seem the comforting, nurturing maternal quality of womanhood. It would be suggested that Harris and the Democrats prioritize women‘s reproductive rights and the freedom of choice.
With Saturn retrograding then going direct through Pisces and opposing her three Virgo planets, old issues might tarnish her image with commentators questioning both her previous experience, her role in the Biden administration, and the details in her policy proposals. As the old saying cautions: “the devil is in the details.” The bloom may come off the rose from the end of August through February, especially if the opposition focuses on her previous stands, her experience, the Biden administration, and her policy proposals.
Personal attacks against Harris could prove counter-productive, especially when there are far more effective means of attack.
Unexpected situations and hidden enemies could provide grist for the mill to attack her standing.
Nonetheless, Harris stands a good chance to be elected, if the image makers can keep up the veneer of a caring Harris.
Donald Trump was born June 14, 1946, at 10:54 AM in Jamaica, New York. Trump comes in at the time of the Full Moon with his Sun in Gemini opposed his Moon in Sagittarius. The Sun is in the 3rd decanate of Gemini [Aquarius] and the Sun conjuncts Uranus with both opposed the Moon in the third decanate of Sagittarius with the Leo sub-influence. Gemini is the Sign of the twins, and Geminis can seem like two different people at different times. With the strong Uranian influence, Trump can be a little ahead of the curve but off-putting to those who want a semblance of what to expect. With Trump, you expect the unexpected with the likelihood of his quirkiness and a brashness that is reflective of his being a New Yorker. New Yorkers tell it like it is and don’t sugarcoat, which many people find offensive and lacking in civility. Trump’s ascendant is in Leo with Mars in Leo in the 12th House but right on top of his ascendant.
On July 13th, 2024, there was an assassination attempt against Trump. That day had Mars and Uranus by orb in conjunction which was in orb of a square to Trump’s natal Mars. That day also had Pluto in orb of an opposition to the Sun, a configuration to keep in mind when I address the 47th President’s inauguration chart. Based upon the energy configurations, the attack should not be too surprising; surviving the attack seems no less than divine intervention.
Trump has a Stellium [powerpack] in Cancer with Mercury, Venus and Saturn in the Cardinal Water Sign, indicative of love for god, country and family.
Over the past few years, Trump has been challenged with various adverse and difficult energy configurations. He had transiting Pluto opposing both his Saturn and Venus, and transiting Neptune triggering a T-Square with Neptune square his Moon in Sagittarius and Neptune squaring both his Uranus and Sun both in Gemini. Negative impressions of Trump were reinforced but often more by projection than the reality of the situation. Even certain associates became his frenemies, and his portrayal or characterization was often skewed to a negative impression, even to the point of accusing him of wanting to be a dictator.
During July and August, he had the personal planets of the Sun, Mercury and Venus at different times transiting through the 12th House, which indicates dealing with karmic issues, hidden enemies, and self-undoing. Suddenly, what seemed to be an insurmountable lead over Joe Biden dissipated with the passing of the Democrat torch to Kamala Harris. It seemed that Trump could do no right.
In astrology, we recognize that we have two birthdays each year; the first being the day when the Sun returns to its natal position on or next to our actual birthday, the other being when the transiting Sun crosses the ascendant and exits the 12th House. For Trump, the transiting Sun crossed his ascendant and entered his 1st House on August 22nd.
On Election Day on November 5th, 2024, both Harris and Trump have positive energies. The question as to what primary issue will account for the voter’s choice. Will it be the economy with the realization that no matter how much inflation might seem tamed the compounded and cumulative effect of inflation has had a devastating impact with a heavy price born by many individuals and families? Will it be the issue of women’s reproductive rights and the concern of government restrictions to medical freedom choice [a choice largely negated by the mandates during the COVID pandemic]? Will it be foreign issues with war-like activities in various hotspots around the globe? Will it be the question of immigration with the massive flood of millions of new residents with collateral costs? Will it be the personality traits of Harris and Trump? Or will it be some black swan event, one of those unexpected, unanticipated matters that threatens stability or security?
The Election Day Moon starts with a conjunction to Harris’ progressed Sun, sextile to her natal Sun and trine her natal Moon. The transiting Jupiter is conjunct the midpoint of Trump’s natal Sun Uranus conjunction.
Fear, anxiety, and illusion might be major contributors to how people vote. People may be concerned about the present-day situations and what they see as future unfolding.
Tim Walz, Democrat Vice-Presidential candidate, born April 6, 1964, in West Point, Nebraska. With his Sun in Aries and his Moon probably in Aquarius, Walz has three planets in Aries with a strong self-emphasis. By Sign, he has a T-Square in Mutable Signs, and a T-Square in Fixed Signs. He may be good at initiating matters but more by an impulsive manner than a well-conceived plan of action. Some of his positions may need adjustment based upon changing conditions, but with resistance to altering his stance.
I was surprised that Harris picked Walz. Minnesota is a reliably Democratic state. I would have suggested someone from a more important state, from a swing state, and my choice for the Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee would have been the Governor of the swing state of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro. But Harris picked Tim Walz instead.
Although Walz is being presented as a ‘good ole’ boy’, as coach and midwestern ‘salt of the earth’, his choice has steered the Democratic ticket way left. People have a very short memory, but Republicans are likely to focus on some of Walz’s actions as Governor, such as:
- The delay in calling out the National Guard to assist in establishing order in Minneapolis – St. Paul during the George Floyd fiery protests.
- The lockdown during COVID and the consequent Stasi-like COVID hotline for people to report on neighbors who were not following social distancing rules.
- The collateral damage of schoolchildren and the lockdown slide with the learning loss to school children.
- The wokeness of gender dysphoria to support children transitioning.
What has been called ‘stolen valor’ and his DUI arrest may also tarnish Walz’s image, no matter how the media tries to be complicit in polishing the impressions of Harris – Walz.
J.D. Vance, Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, born August 2nd, 1984, in Middletown, Ohio. Like Noah’s Ark, he has two-fers with his Sun and Venus in Leo, his Moon and Pluto in Libra, two planets in Scorpio and two planets in Sagittarius. He has a Bowl type of chart with all the planets lined up from Leo into Capricorn. A fascinating similarity to Trump is the Sun Uranus connection. Trump has the Sun Uranus conjunction, while Vance has the Sun trine Uranus.
Vance is ambitious and has risen by pulling himself up by the bootstraps.
Pluto
With the US repeating a cycle that occurred back in 1776 with the American Revolution and the prelude to the Industrial Revolution, Pluto coming into Aquarius talks to a Technological Revolution about to unfold in the US. We have already seen indications or the prelude to this Revolution back in Spring through the Summer as Pluto first transited Aquarius.
When Pluto first entered Capricorn back in 2008, we experienced a global financial meltdown with negative impacts on the banking system and financial services. As Pluto exited Capricorn in Spring of 2023, several banks went down or were taken over [Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank, First Republic, Credit Suisse]. Pluto will be going back through Capricorn from this latter part of summer 2024 until the 3rd week of November.
During this latter part of 2024, we may experience problems with: [a] the banking system; [b] supply chain disruptions; [c] heightened inflation; [d] recession concerns; [e] warlike behavior; [f] health issues… among others.
As Pluto enters back into Aquarius towards the end of November, we are entering a twenty-year cycle of revolution and radical change, a technological revolution that accentuates freedom and individuality.
With Aquarius ruled by Uranus, those who are to lead us into this New Age would seem to have strong Uranian and Aquarian energies, which we find with both Trump and Vance.
Trump’s Sun in Gemini is in the 3rd decanate [Aquarius] of Gemini and his Sun is conjunct Uranus [ruler of Aquarius]. Donald Trump’s uncle, John Trump, was an electrical engineer and physicist. A professor at MIT, John Trump developed radiation therapy, and upon the death of Nikola Tesla was brought in to analyze Tesla’s artifacts.
Vance has the Sun in Leo trine Uranus.
Both Trump and Vance can be quirky in their own way, but quirkiness may prove the hallmark of this next revolution, a phase often referred to as the Age of Aquarius.
Such connections are lacking in the charts of both Harris and Waltz.
One of the technological advances that may occur as we transition from the Pluto in Capricorn into Pluto in Aquarius may be a radical restructuring of various institutions and formats. Not only can government institutions be democratized with a possibility of national referendums on major issues, but freedom of medical choice can supplant any attempts at enforced mandates / lockdowns and the like, which have proven after the fact to have had highly negative consequences.
Financial systems may transform significantly with the traditional banking system of banks, International Monetary Fund, World Bank and Federal Reserve, among others, likely to be reformed or eliminated. While there has been the question of a Central Bank Digital Currency with its components of ESG, opposition to authoritarian control has sprouted up with proponents of DeFi [decentralized finance] calling for democratization of finance through block chain technology and cryptocurrencies.
Both Trump and Kennedy are proponents of Bitcoin and cryptos while the establishment looks more to CBDC [Central Bank Digital Currencies].
With the strong Aquarian energy coming forward, the way ahead would seem more with DeFi, blockchain technology, and crypto rather than the traditional banking system.
When Pluto first entered Capricorn in 2008, the world suffered severe impacts to the global financial system with concern that the system could implode. When Pluto exited Capricorn briefly in the Spring of 2023, several banks went under, were acquired, or were salvaged. This late summer and the fall can see more issues with the fragility of the traditional banking system
Democrat National Convention, August 19th – 22nd, 2024
August had Mercury retrograde. During this retrograde, Harris secured the virtual roll call vote of delegates confirming her as the presidential nominee of her party, she picked Walz to be her Vice-Presidential running mate, and the Democrat National Convention held its extravaganza in Chicago. Mercury retrograde tends to reflect Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’. It is never an auspicious three-week period to make significant decisions or important commitments.
The start of the DNC on the 19th was under a Full Moon with the Sun Moon opposition square Uranus, triggering a T-Square in Fixed Signs, and a T-Square in the Mutable Signs with Venus square Jupiter and Venus opposed Saturn. The convention was also held under a waning Moon. These various energy configurations would have suggested a better and more beneficial time to host their convention.
Herculean task
This election should be a slam dunk for Democrats with Trump having little chance to overcome the many impediments placed in his way.
- Donald Trump faces sentencing in his fraud conviction on September 18th by a most unsympathetic judge. Trump could find himself jailed, placed under house arrest, some type of gag order or whatever could curtail him from campaigning and expressing his message.
- Also unsympathetic to Trump is the press, the legacy media defiling Trump at every turn while adulating Harris whenever possible.
- The electorate is far more interested in good vibes and cool personalities than addressing significant issues or policy matters.
- Interest rate cuts and juggling the books present a hopeful spin to a better economy.
- Inflation being tamped down to 3% increase but with little notice to inflation increase being compounded, thereby painting a distorted picture of increased costs compared to four years ago.
- TDS — Trump has been demonized over the past number of years with the constant negative portrayal, like a form of constant brainwashing, developing Trump Derangement Syndrome.
- Alphabet agencies [e.g., CIA, FBI, SS, etc.] seeming all-in to maintain the status quo, reaffirm their position and that of the administrative state by whatever means, legitimate or otherwise, to demean Trump [e.g., Russiagate].
- The power of incumbency with all the federal resources available to Harris – Walz
- Democrats in Congress following the lead of Rep. Jamie Raskin [D-MD] asserting that they’ll never allow Trump back into the White House.
- Black swans. What unexpected incidents could dent Trump’s chances? — e.g., another round of a pandemic, fear of terrorism forcing mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting, war breaking out or escalating, equity markets collapse, etc.
Any way you slice it and whatever occurs between now and Election Day, Trump faces a Herculean task with the odds and the forces of the administrative state aggressively against him.
Between Now & Election Day
With Pluto retrograding back into Capricorn, traditional institutions and past governmental issues may come to the fore.
Although the Harris – Walz ticket may be a joyful, hopey – changey kind of thing, where’s the change? Unless I’ve been living under a rock, which I haven’t, I thought Harris was part of the Biden – Harris administration with President Biden referring more than once to President Harris.
After all the hoopla and the psychedelic extravaganza of the DNC, hard cold reality might set in:
Prices are still high. Whenever I go to the gas pump and see $3.50 per gallon or some approximation thereof, I remind myself that back in December of 2020 I was paying $1.85 per gallon.
And every time I go into the grocery store my usual items seem afflicted with price creep — 10 cents more one week, 15 cents more the following week. Or, like the biggest loser, products have shrunk in size, often referred to as shrinkflation.
Inflation is a figure that reflects the increase over the past measure, but compounded inflation in the US is approaching the old Argentinian rate — everything excessively more expensive while income stays the same.
In his farewell address, Dwight Eisenhower, the 34th US President, warned of the military – industrial complex. In the last three plus years the US has gotten engaged in the Russia – Ukraine conflict and the Israel – Palestinian strife. We face issues with China over Taiwan and the South China Sea, the Abraham Accords agreed to under Trump’s administration are all but forgotten as the Middle East becomes a tinderbox, and much of American Foreign policy seems asleep at the wheel as the Chinese become ever more involved economically in Africa and Latin America. And repeatedly commentators generate fear with the threat of nuclear Armageddon and World War III.
In the debate between Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter during the 1980 presidential campaign, Reagan asked the question: “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”
If asked today, most people are likely to say ‘no’.
Data, if concentrated upon, could bring the good vibes of the Harris – Walz campaign down to earth.
BUT never discount how Republicans have been able repeatedly to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
While the Democrats may have difficulty running on the hard economic data, social issues could be their winning ticket. Emphasizing women’s reproductive rights and the SCOTUS decision on Roe v. Wade, Democrats can win the women vote.
Add to it, the libertine proclivities presently in the U.S. society, tendencies that are similar to those exhibited back during Germany’s Weimar Republic, and the Democrats seem to espouse a freedom, fun-loving characterization compared to the staid, uptight depiction of Republicans.
U.S. Administration 2025
Like an individual, every country, any entity, everyone, and every thing has a birth chart. For a business, it’s the time of opening. For a company’s stock, it is the first day of trading. For a country, the day and time of its founding.
And for a US administration, as dictated by the 20th Amendment to the US Constitution. The inauguration of the incoming President is prescribed as 12 Noon on January 20th of that year in Washington, D.C.
Whoever is elected President this November might want to take a cue from Ronald Regan who had a private inauguration prior to the official inauguration.
The astrological signature of this incoming administration inaugurated on January 20th, 2025, has a particularly challenging energy configuration for the executive or incoming president. The chart of the incoming administration has a Sun Pluto conjunction with both opposed by Mars, an energy configuration that warns of physical violence against the executive, assassination attempt[s].
With a likely attempt on the president’s life, it largely skewed my forecast of the presidential election to Donald Trump due to the enmity so many people have towards Donald Trump, which some commentators refer to as TDS [Trump derangement syndrome]., I thought it would be Trump that might suffer another assassination attempt[s].
It’s interesting to note that when there was an assassination attempt against Trump on July 13th, he was experiencing a Mars Uranus conjunction transit exactly square his natal Mars in the 12th House and right on his ascendent. This configuration suggests a liability of physical violence. Subsequently, some other person was arrested for threatening Trump’s life.
I was confident that Trump was more liable than Harris to assassination attempt[s]. But when I saw the Time magazine cover with Kamala Harris on the cover and no content, I had an eerie feeling. She looked otherworldly, ethereal, as if in spirit speaking from the grave.
I still feel the enmity to be stronger for Trump, which is largely my reason for feeling that Trump will be elected and then liable to further attempts on his life.
