The astrology for this week of November 7th through the 13th of 2022 could have us feeling battered and bruised until we come to the weekend when we might retreat into our sanctuary, the safe space of home.
The Fixed Sign T-Square that began by Sign back on the 25th of October and more fully triggered this past weekend is in full throttle this week until we come into the weekend when we get not only a respite but enter a far more pleasant time ahead. First, we have to wade through the muck and the mire.
The midterm elections in the US are upon us this week. Although pundits are declaring winners even before the votes are counted, the energy this week is far from serene. Clarity is unlikely, especially with machinations liable to occur and computer wizardry seeming especially dysfunctional and error prone.
As Yogi Berra said: “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.”
Like many recent elections, here and elsewhere in the world, election results may not be over on Election night, on Wednesday morning or even in the following days.
Things just don’t seem to work correctly this week. There’s a lot of push and pull, delays and frustrations with one of my least favorite energy configurations, Mercury opposed Uranus and part of the Fixed Sign T-Square, wreaking havoc with air travel, communications, computers and technology.
This T-Square goes on through the week, but finally on the weekend the pressure and stress could be alleviated. Perhaps we have all decided on a self-imposed isolation this coming weekend, whereby we stay in the comforts of home and avoid the mud wrestling going on out in the world and even among the people we know.
The harshest of the Fixed T-Square is over on Friday, but its influence ligers on until the 22nd. The energy turns more upbeat and joyous this weekend and over the next few weeks.
This is a week for us to be careful out there.
Monday, November 7th – You Wanna Piece of Me – Venus, Saturn. Monday begins this week with the Moon entering Taurus but making no connections to the planets today. We are leading up to tomorrow’s Taurus Full Moon. Venus finishes the Fixed Sign T-Square with Venus having opposed Uranus this past Saturday and with Venus square Saturn today. The rest of the week has Mercury and the Sun triggering the Fixed Sign T-Square. Relationships on this Monday might be dicey, and it would be suggested we keep our opinions to oneself and hold our cards close to our chest. Everyone may be on edge, liable to be confrontational and looking for an argument just to release pent-up energy and any sense of frustration. This is a week when we might feel as though we are trudging through quagmire. Keeping everything pleasant and non-controversial may be a tall order but recommended to avoid difficulties with our relationships. As the line goes in Buffalo Springfield’s classic song For What It’s Worth: “Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong”. It would be wise to avoid impulsive actions, knee-jerk reactions today. Let’s breathe deeply, meditate, and maintain a bemusement at the antics of humankind.
Tuesday, November 8th – Release Me, Let Me Go – Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Taurus Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Sun, Uranus, Saturn, Venus, Neptune. Aaargh! This Tuesday is Election Day in the US. Why is it so many elections in the US occur on some of the more horrific energy patterns? Is it the universe’s way of suggesting that elections are all theatrics, bread and circuses to appease the general populace and provide the pretense of democratic engagement? Certainly, the energy on this Tuesday, whether in the US or elsewhere, is over-the-top. Tuesday has the Fixed Sign T-Square accentuated. The Taurus Moon opposes the three Scorpio-transiting planets of Mercury, Venus and the Sun. The Moon Sun opposition is the Taurus Full Moon [6:02 AM EST]. a Lunar Eclipse. The Moon conjuncts Uranus and the Moon squares Saturn. The Moon sextiles Neptune. The Sun conjuncts Mercury, and Mercury opposes Uranus triggering the Fixed Sign T-Square with Mercury square Saturn on Thursday. Whatever one’s religious or philosophical belief system, this is a day for us to pray or, at the least, contemplate something greater than our egocentric and anthropocentric connections. This week through Friday is a week for us to hold steady, maintain calm and not get caught up in the frenzy. The Mercury opposed Uranus is one of my least favorite energy configurations for air travel. It is also a time when communications can be off, when computers could be problematic, and all sorts of screwups liable to occur. Although we can be enmeshed in the push pulls of this week with various delays and frustrations thrown in the mix, we might look to the weekend as a time for us to unwind, regroup and look on the sunny side of the street. We are able to make it through this week if we keep in mind that life is about cycles and this present week is a cycle that may leave us breathless and wrung out.
Wednesday, November 9th – Never Ending – Pluto, Jupiter, Sun, Uranus. Wednesday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today trine Pluto and the Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then enters Gemini, but the Gemini Moon makes no connections to the planets today. The Sun opposes Uranus triggering another Fixed Sign T-Square with the Sun opposed Uranus today, the Sun square Saturn on Friday. We are also in the midst of the Mercury Fixed Sign T-Square with Mercury opposed Uranus yesterday and Mercury square Saturn tomorrow. Exhausting? Probably so. The push pull of the Fixed Sign T-Square, where we might feel like ‘every which way but loose’, is fully engaged and demands that we take everything with a grain of salt or a block of salt lick. It would be surprising if anything goes easily right now. With our old nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square engaged, we have the volatility between old and new, ups and downs, the avant-garde and the traditional. This is a time for us to see what works from our experience while updating it for our present. Change is in the air, but getting through the transformation can be like a camel trying to squeeze through the eye of the needle. Let’s keep in mind that during this paradigm shift, we are co-creators with the universe unfolding. We need to be mindful and aware of the cues given us. There can be delays and frustrations, which might be the labor pains of the birthing into transformation. Receptivity and acceptance of whatever is occurring can give us solace during our upsets or feelings of frustration and may prove for our benefit in the long run.
Thursday, November 10th – Say a Little Prayer – Saturn, Mercury, Venus, Neptune. Thursday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today trine Saturn. Venus trines Neptune, and Mercury completes its trigger of the Fixed Sign T-Square today with Mercury square Saturn. Although we may be feeling pummeled by the repeated blows from the Fixed Sign T-Square, this day calls for us to lift our eyes from what seems to be right in front of us, consider the myriad of possibilities that lie beyond our limited perspective, and engage our faith in better days through brighter ways. If we buy into the narrative, keep our blinders on and merely accept the appearance of reality being promoted, then we could easily fall into depression, feel the wind knocked out of us, and fall into victim mode. Why go there? The beauty of these times of paradigm shift is the fact that things can change dramatically in a nanosecond or less. How we employ the dynamic of these times is our choice, always our choice. We have been led to believe that we are only pawns, victims, to the vicissitudes of these times, that we have to react to condition and circumstance. What if we change our disposition and accept that we are co-creators with the universe unfolding of our way ahead? We can be depressed today, feel weighted down by our obligations and responsibilities, or we could recognize that no matter how great the squeeze on us might be we can draw upon our faith, even blind faith, to acknowledge that we can not only survive the conditions but even thrive from present circumstance. Today may be a day when we can say a little prayer and commit to realizing a brighter future for ourselves. We might choose to affirm the idiom “where there’s a will, there’s a way”.
Friday, November 11th – Running on Empty – Mars, Neptune, Jupiter, Sun, Saturn. Friday has the Gemini Moon conjunct Mars, and the Moon square both Neptune and Jupiter both in Pisces. Late in the day, the Moon exits Gemini to enter Cancer. The Sun completes its Fixed Sign T-Square with the Sun square Saturn. Since last weekend, we have suffered the proverbial ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’ as the three Scorpio-transiting planets of first Venus, then Mercury, and now the Sun have triggered the Fixed Sign T-Square by first opposing Uranus and then squaring Saturn. Today is the final crescendo of this seven-day crucible. Not that we are totally done with the Fixed Sign T-Square. We shall continue with its diminishing influence until the 22nd when the Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius, but the Fixed Sign T-Square intensity lessens as we come out of this week. Having been on our toes, on guard, and trying to deal with various incoming, we could find ourselves depleted, exhausted and virtually running on empty today. With a liability of trying to accomplish whatever we feel we need to get done before the weekend, we might hasten our tasks just to get them out of the way and in the process leave out important details or get rid of significant particulars. With our energy liable to be at a low ebb, it would be wise for us to slow things down, do what needs to be done, but to put aside for another day the most important matters. This week may have taken it out of us. Like a marathon runner, we have made it through the grind. We just need to avoid sprinting recklessly towards the finish line, the end of this week. The weekend offers a nice reprieve, a time to catch our breath and replenish ourselves.
Saturday, November 12th – Listening to the Muse – Mercury, Neptune. Saturday has the Moon transiting Cancer, but the Moon makes no connections to the planets today. Mercury trines Neptune. After a week that may have had us slogging through, trying to keep up with both our commitments and unexpected matters arising, and feeling wiped out by the continual bombardment, this weekend is a time for ‘down time’, a time when we can kick back, leave the world outside our sanctuary doors, and enjoy the comforts of home. The ballyhoo of the elections in the US may have started to die down, but when does it ever? Even if results are confirmed and certified [wishful thinking], it’s on to the next round, the 2024 elections. Egads! Enough already! This weekend is a time for us to take a breather. Getting out into nature, meditating and connecting with our spiritual being, listening to uplifting music or reading inspiring literature, or just lazing the day away are all ways by which we can regroup, recharge and replenish ourselves. We may not have a great deal of energy to do much today. Our intuitive sense can be spot on, and we might give thought as to how best to enhance our sense of sanctuary in our home space. We’ve been through the wars, whether as an active participant or an unwilling observer, and it’s ME time when we can take it easy and tune out the world-at-large. This is a day for us to listen to our muse, appreciate our increased awareness, and acknowledge an awakening that has gone on within us.
Sunday, November 13th – Up and At ‘Em – Uranus, Lunar Grand Trine, Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Pluto. Hopefully, we used Saturday to catch our breath, ‘chill out’, and step away from all the craziness that might have occurred during the week and that we have been subjected to for far too long over the past 2-3 years. This Sunday is like a breath of fresh air. Perhaps the vitriol over the US elections has either died down or become too much of a broken record from which we have tuned out, but this Sunday is in sharp contrast to the Fixed Sign T-Square that has repeatedly sucker punched us over the past seven days. Sunday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today sextile Uranus, and the Cancer Moon triggering a Water Grand Trine as the Moon trines Neptune in Pisces and the Moon trines both the Sun and Mercury both in Scorpio. Venus sextiles Pluto. No matter how involved we have been with the bread and circuses of the US elections, we are likely to disengage from the antics in the world-at-large and concentrate more on our own journey forward. This Sunday would be a good day for us to streamline our life’s involvements, have a good clean up and clear out, and look to be more effective with less expenditure of energy. We may feel as though we have gotten a thrust of energy with us being directed by what we might surmise as divine guidance. Any way we slice it, we could feel as though we have turned a corner. The Fixed Sign T-Square influence is likely to continue until the 22nd, but its impact is largely diminishing with its crescendo having been these past seven days. Can we get a ‘hallelujah’ for having made it through the night?
