The astrology for this week of November 21st through the 27th of 2022 gives us much for which to be thankful.
Early in the week, the Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. The Fixed Sign T-Square that has daunted us over the past four weeks ends. The movement of the Sun into Sagittarius creates a Stellium of three planets in the Mutable Fire Sign as the Sun joins Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius. Instead of a Fixed Sign T-Square when we might have experienced various delays, frustrations and felt like we were slogging through the muck and the mire; we now have a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Sagittarius planets opposing Mars in Gemini and square the two Pisces transiting planets of Jupiter and Neptune. We could feel like everyone is acting like chickens with their heads cut off, running around, racing ahead but often with little direction and no itinerary in hand. We can be optimistic, enthusiastic and feeling good about life, no matter how fast-paced life has become.
The week starts pleasantly enough. We may be feeling upbeat, focused on the holidays as we prepare for Thanksgiving in the US, all the while we continue to hear the Christmas holiday songs playing in the stores to peddle their gift-giving wares as stores have been doing since late August. Many people may head out of town for the holidays now that the work week is whittling down to a precious few days, many of which are spent working remotely. Working hard or hardly working?
The mid-week has a Lunar Grand Trine just before the Sagittarius New Moon and Jupiter turning direct. Everything is beautiful especially when we are oblivious to hard, cold reality, preferring instead to concentrate on our hopes and wishes of what could be.
After a most enjoyable Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, Black Friday can have us in high gear, all revved up with no place to go. Black Friday sales that used to be so special may seem a little tired after the past few weeks of Black Friday sales days.
The weekend would be a good time to take things down a notch or two. We might attend to our past holiday celebrations or prepare for the next go-round of holiday festivities. After two to three years when our movements and activities were severely curtailed by the response to the virus contagion, many of us may be more out and about during these holidays despite the increased costs and disrupted travel plans.
This week highlights Thanksgiving and giving thanks, and we would be wise to welcome this week with the attitude of gratitude for all the blessings and bounties in our life.
Monday, November 21st – Anywhere but Here – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Venus. Monday begins this week with the Libra Moon square Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for six hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio. The Scorpio Moon today makes no connections to the planets. Mercury conjuncts Venus. We may have various matters to attend to, but we are likely to put even pressing demands on the back burner. We are far more interested in getting out of Dodge whether literally or figuratively. Some people may decide this to be a vacation week under the justification of Thanksgiving in the US and take off out of town. Even for those who stay around home base, the liability of projecting oneself anywhere but here can have people engaging flights of fancy. Getting together with friends whether in person, by phone or text, might take up much of our day. Monday may not be a highly productive day. We might do what we have to do but little more. On the plus side, we could be upbeat, optimistic and enthusiastic. Let’s consider this a ‘mental health’ day when we can regroup and recharge and look on the sunny side of life.
Tuesday, November 22nd – Logistics of Today’s World – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Saturn, Sun Sagittarius. Tuesday has the Scorpio Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with our old nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square. The Moon opposes Uranus, and the Moon squares Saturn. The Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius [3:20 AM EST] creating a Stellium of three planets in the Mutable Fire Sign as the Sun joins Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius. No matter what we are doing today, we might experience delays and frustrations with curveballs thrown at us at the same time. This is a day that demands we keep our ‘cool’ and that we recognize the parameters of these times when it seems that disruptions to our intended schedule are all part of the process. If we can have a sense of bemusement at humankind’s foibles, maintain calm and patience, we are more likely to deal with the hiccups of dysfunctionality without added stress and strain. Although we would prefer things to be streamlined and a straight-line projection, we are living during times of zigzags, ups and downs and extreme volatility. This Tuesday calls for us to ‘grin and bear it’. With the added Fire, we can bask in unbridled optimism, even if our exuberance is focused more on what can be rather than what actually is.
Wednesday, November 23rd – Footprints in the Sand – Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Sagittarius New Moon, Sun, Jupiter direct. Wednesday is a power-packed energetic day. Wednesday begins with the Scorpio Moon trine Neptune, the Moon sextile Pluto, and the Moon trine Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius. The Sagittarius Moon conjuncts the Sun at the time of the Sagittarius New Moon [5:57 PM EST]. Jupiter turns direct [6:02 PM EST] ending its four-month retrograde cycle. We may have a feeling that we are being divinely guided in our journey forward. Even if we are catching planes, trains and automobiles to get out of Dodge for Thanksgiving, we are likely to feel an inner serenity as if being immune to the madding crowd. Our spiritual character could be heightened as we step away from our routine and familiar and plan for tomorrow’s celebrations. With the Sagittarius New Moon, we fully engage the Mutable Fire spirit of expansion, confidence and optimism. We might even embrace the wise and true saying that ‘we never get more than we can handle’. It is always important to remember to connect with Divine Design and appreciate the journey of our own individual master plan.
Thursday, November 24th – Attitude of Gratitude – Venus, Mercury, Saturn. Thursday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today conjunct both Venus and Mercury and the Moon sextile Saturn at the end of the day. We often hear of the law of attraction that whatever we focus on we draw to us. Positive thoughts bring positive results, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes. That is why it is so essential for us to maintain a healthy, optimistic perspective with an attitude of gratitude for all the blessings in our life. The Eeyores and Debbie Downers in the world only see the negative and can justify their negative perspective by the negative results. This Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the US, the day intended for us to give thanks to all the blessings and bounty in our lives. Although fear porn of the official narratives emphasize horsemen of the apocalypse as food insecurity and starvation, virus contagions, nuclear holocaust, and the like; we do not have to fall for their portrayal of a dystopian future but rather realize that in truth many of the problems in the world could be easily resolved. Even though we are constantly subjected to the negativity of collective unconsciousness, we do not have to buy into what they are selling, which is largely compliance and dependence upon the powers-that-be. How Orwellian! This day allows us to take a break from the barrage of negativity and appreciate our friends, family, and all the good things in our life. Not only does the calendar demark a day of Thanksgiving, but the strong Sagittarius influence today compounds our optimism, confidence, even exuberance during these disruptive, tumultuous times, which some would call the ‘end times’. And may it be so that through our commitment, our technological wizardries and our devotion to a better world, we can bring an end to the crazy times and through our awakening we can ascend and rise from the ashes to soar ever higher like the phoenix in Greek mythology. Let’s all acknowledge and give thanks for what could be.
Friday, November 25th – Pavlov’s Dog – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Neptune, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday has the Sagittarius Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon opposes Mars and the Moon squares both Neptune and Jupiter both in Pisces. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn. The Capricorn Moon makes no connections to the planets today. This is the proverbial BLACK FRIDAY in the US when holiday sales are at their very bestest… although black Friday sales have been going on for several weeks now. With the Mutable T-Square, a good number of people may descend on the malls, shopping centers, and any sorts of venues to buy stuff. Better conditioned than even Pavlov’s dog, people will be out and about, scurrying around, looking for all sorts of bargains. This day could be quite exhausting with all the runaround. It probably doesn’t matter that many of us are feeling financially squeezed by inflation or that some of the items we would prefer to buy are unavailable due to supply chain disruptions and supply shortages. We are in holiday mood, expansive and looking at bulking up. Some of our buying might also be in reaction to our fears that prices will continue to rise. It would be wise for us to budget our finances and avoid impulse buying where we take out the plastic repeatedly and call out ‘charge’ as we purchase yet another item. Even if we do not engage in the annual black Friday shopping spree, we could still wear ourselves out by the end of the day with the need to recoup our energies over the weekend.
Saturday, November 26th – Sorting Through – Uranus. Saturday continues the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today trine Uranus late in the day. If we have errands to do, tasks to attend to, this Saturday would be a good day to address needs and take care of outstanding matters. We might have certain commitments to deal with, social obligations to address. While yesterday could have been a frenzy of activity, this Saturday takes things down a notch or two and a time when we can take things step-by-step in a methodical and effective manner. A fascinating aspect of thee times is the volatility where we can swing between extremes. Yesterday might have had many people off the charts racing around, perhaps even going around in circles. Today seems far more focused, less harried, calmer and better able to patiently achieve successful results. Unexpected opportunities could arise later in the day, so the more we get out of the way earlier in the day, the better able we shall be to engage surprising developments later in the day. This is a good day for us to sort through various matters, whether it’s associated with holiday purchases and planned get-togethers, or our mundane affairs that we choose to put into order.
Sunday, November 27th – Spirit in Action – Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. The Moon continues through Capricorn on this Sunday with the Moon conjunct Pluto and the Moon sextile both Neptune and Jupiter both in Pisces. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius. The Aquarius Moon makes no connections to the planets today. Saturday and Sunday are two days when we can get a lot done, unless we are enjoying the extended Thanksgiving weekend. Cleaning up and clearing out would be positive ways to use this Sunday. We may decide to do an inventory taking, consider what we need to keep and what to be rid of, all the while that we are prioritizing our truly significant involvements. This day offers a strong combination of the spiritual and material, so we might find ourselves guided in where we want to go and what we want to do. While we could take care of various mundane matters, let’s enjoy some of the day reflecting and contemplating on our own journey and appreciating the true reality that life is good.
