The astrology for the week of November 14th through the 20th of 2022 sees a dramatic energy shift from our feeling squeezed in a vise grip to the opportunity of walking on sunshine.
We have come off last week’s Fixed Sign T-Squares when Venus, then Mercury, and finally the Sun, all transiting Scorpio, triggered oppositions to Uranus and squares to Saturn. We may have felt uncomfortable in our own skin, plagued by delays, frustrations and with everyone seeming on their last nerve.
Fortunately, the energy shifts this week as both Venus and Mercury exit Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. Not that we’re totally done with the Fixed Sign T-Square, and we won’t be until the Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius on the 22nd. But at least the direct impact and the heavy influence are lessened.
We also gain some Fire with Mercury and Venus coming into the Mutable Fire Sign this week, Venus early on Wednesday, Mercury early on Thursday. We are likely to feel an uplift, as though the sun is breaking out from behind the clouds.
With the US mid-term elections over, although already pushing the mishegoss for the 2024 presidential election [can’t we have a breather from the bread and circuses?], there will be little need to draw upon fear porn and scare the bejeebers out of people to have them fall in compliance to the narrative propagated.
This week kicks off a largely enjoyable period through the rest of the year.
We just have to hone our abilities of awareness and mindfulness and appreciate that during these wildly volatile times there is the essential need to embrace the Taoist sentiment of ‘bend like a reed or break like an oak’.
While we are likely moving into a more upbeat period, we have to be certain not to get carried away by our enthusiasm, our hopes, wishes or hype. Even during our lighter periods, it is important that we be astute, do our due diligence and not fall prey to the hucksters with their shucking and jiving.
Monday, November 14th – Making Our Mark – Pluto, Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Sun, Neptune. Monday starts the week with the Moon finishing its transit of Cancer. The Cancer Moon opposes Pluto, and the Moon triggers another Water Grand Trine, similar to yesterday’s Water Grand Trine but with the Cancer Moon today trine the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm as the Cancer Moon trines Venus in Scorpio and the Moon trines Jupiter in Pisces. The Moon then moves into Leo, but the Leo Moon makes no connections to the planets today. Mercury sextiles Pluto, and the Sun trines Neptune. We may be feeling upbeat and lighter than usual with an attitude of putting our spirit into action. From a sense of support and encouragement from home and family this is a day when we can put our individual mark on our activities. We can be dynamic, persuasive, able to make appealing presentations with every particular detail taken care of. Our mind is sharp and focused with the ability to cut to the core. Likely to be ‘looking good, feeling good’, we do have to be wary that we don’t overdo, go into indulgence or excess. Both Monday and Tuesday could have us going over-the-top with our energy and our involvements. We need to just ‘go with the flow’ rather than trying to ‘rush the river’. Let us not lose the opportunity to be successfully productive to a sense of vanity. As compared to recent weeks, this week allows our various engagements to be operating on greased wheels, easily and effectively.
Tuesday, November 15th – Problems of Arrogance – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Saturn, Venus, Jupiter. Tuesday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square as the Leo Moon squares Uranus and the Moon opposes Saturn. Venus trines Jupiter. Yesterday, we had the Water Grand Trine with the Moon trine Venus and the Moon trine Jupiter. Today, the two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are in trine. With the addition of the Leo Moon, our tendency and our liability might be to assume that everything is going our way. In consequence, we could easily fall prey to arrogance and narcissism, whereby we assume that what we want is what we shall get. Nice concept, and quite a setup for the universe with its sense of irony. If we get too full of ourselves today, we might wind up hitting the wall. We can experience delays, frustrations, past issues popping up, and unexpected situations throwing curveballs at us. One of the key lessons for all of us, for each of us, during this paradigm shift is to learn humility and to accept that we are no longer masters of our destiny [as if we ever truly were]. During this paradigm shift, when things can change dramatically and in a nanosecond of time, it is important that we accept our role as co-creators with the unverse unfolding, be mindful to the signals along our way, and dissipate the egocentric liability of feeling that we are in total control of process and outcomes. If we come from an old mindset of being in control, the pushback from conditions and circumstance could be severe. I always suggest that the universe taps us on the shoulder. If we don’t acknowledge the nudge, the universe taps a little harder. If we still don’t get the cues, then the universe gives us a lateral lobotomy, a whack on the side of the head. Eventually, we shall get whatever we are supposed to learn and understand. By being attentive, aware and mindful, we can lessen any intense wakeup call and work with the universe unfolding.
Wednesday, November 16th – Dance in the Light – Mars, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Venus Sagittarius. This Wednesday has the Leo Moon sextile Mars, and the Moon square both the Sun and Mercury both in Scorpio. Later in the day, the Moon exits Leo to enter Virgo where today the Virgo Moon squares Venus, which early today had Venus exit Scorpio to enter Sagittarius [1:09 AM EST]. Mercury trines Jupiter. The Sign change of Venus is significant, for it ends the Stellium in the Fixed Water Sign of Scorpio, lessens the influence of the Fixed Sign T-Square, and has Venus giving us a dose of Fire, which we have been lacking, except for the Moon’s monthly brief transits through the three Fire Signs, since the end of October when Jupiter retrograded out of Aries and back into Pisces. This is a day, much like the past two days, when we need to harness and rein in our enthusiasm and any sense of our control over situations. Our intuition can be strong with a certain sense of knowing without knowing, and our attitude can be more on the upside and optimistic. Perhaps the fear porn of legacy media with its constant drone of negativity has lessened or, at least, we are paying less attention to it. We might even connect the dots and come to an awareness that for all their forcefulness and pontification the legacy media has often been wrong in their skewing of events. One example of falling on their sword was the recent article in The Atlantic “Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty”, in which a Brown University economics professor trotted out the excuse and justification used by Nazi collaborators during the Nuremburg Trials: “We didn’t know.” The past may be past, but the past has present and future consequences. We may have moved on from the fear porn, no longer compliant to the anxiety-provoking of the powers-that-be, and instead looking for brighter days through better ways with a recognition that we are more dependent upon our individual selves and our local community than able to rely upon the powers-that-be, who have been seen as nothing more than the emperor with no clothes. It’s time for us to dispel the darkness and dance in the light.
Thursday, November 17th – Irrational Exuberance – Mercury Sagittarius. Thursday continues with the Moon’s transit through Virgo but with the Moon making no connections to the planets today. Mercury exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius [3:42 AM EST]. Mercury’s Sign change lessens even further the Fixed Sign T-Square by Sign, which will end once the Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius on the 22nd. This Thursday is a day to attend to details, take care of what needs to get done, and review or rework matters that we may have glossed over during the past three days and also deal with outstanding matters prior to tomorrow when we could be back in the trap of ‘haste makes waste’. While Mercury exiting Scorpio can diminish some of the intensity and harshness of our thoughts and communications, Mercury in Sagittarius has Mercury in a Sign of its Detriment where Mercury’s thinking can be diffuse without due diligence or critical analysis in play. We may be a great deal more upbeat, enthusiastic, and consider a wide realm of prospects, great in concept and possible in thought but liable to be largely impractical and unattainable in reality. Let’s be enthusiastic, exuberant and upbeat but avoid the totally irrational.
Friday, November 18th – Either Or – Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Pluto, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Mars, Sun. Friday is an either, or day where we cannot have it both ways. The Virgo Moon triggers both an Earth Grand Trine and a Mutable Sign T-Square. On the positive, the Virgo Moon trines Uranus in Taurus and the Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn creating an Earth Grand Trine. On the negative, the Virgo Moon opposes Neptune in Pisces and the Moon squares Mars in Gemini creating a Mutable Sign T-Square. The Sun sextiles Pluto. We can be highly productive today, effective by employing streamlined methodology and concentrating on the truly significant. We could feel as though we are operating on greased wheels. That’s the good news of either. The bad news of or is any liability for us to take on too much, assume that we are being divinely guided and rush through as many ‘to do’ items as possible. With this being a Friday, we are liable to get as much done as possible without taking things in an expeditious manner but more like a haphazard, scatter shot approach. To get the most out of this day, it would be wise for us to devise a plan of action before we start out, draw upon time management skills and curtail any running around. Otherwise, we could be running around, wasting time, wasting energy, and bringing things to closure before they are fully resolved. It is important for us to steer our energy today rather than be steered by it. If we get caught up in a frenzy, then it’s liable to continue on Saturday. Far better for us to slow things down, think outside the box, and employ a best practices approach.
Saturday, November 19th – Accident Prone – Sun, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Neptune. Saturday begins with the Virgo Moon with the Moon sextile the Sun and the Moon opposed Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra where today the Libra Moon sextiles both Mercury and Venus both in Sagittarius. Mars squares Neptune. In a best-case scenario, the morning hours would be best served dealing with errands and any mundane matters needing taken care of. Get-togethers with friends or time spent with a special someone during the second half of the day would allow for pleasant times and upbeat engagements. What we have to be wary of is a liability towards acting impetuously and without thinking. We might have experienced that on Friday but is even stronger on this Saturday. Mars is retrograding through Gemini, will be in Gemini into March of next year, and there is a liability of acting impetuously, rushing to judgment, and not thinking things through while Mars transits Gemini with the propensity ratcheted up even more with the influence if its adverse connection with Neptune today and yesterday. This is a day that demands that we slow things down so as to avoid being accident prone. While haste makes waste, haste can also put us in harm’s way. We need to be careful out there.
Sunday, November 20th – The Gang’s All Here – Lunar Grand Trine, Saturn, Mars, Sun, Jupiter. Sunday has the Libra Moon triggering an Air Grand Trine as the Libra Moon trines Saturn in Aquarius and the Moon trines Mars in Gemini. The Sun trines Jupiter. This can be a highly pleasant day for get-togethers with friends old and new, or a lovely day spent with our special someone. There’s a great deal of ideas floating around, conversations about plans for the future, and a general camaraderie as if we are solidifying a sense that we have come out from under a very dark cloud. The sense of uplift may be invigorating, and we are likely to feel that all sorts of possibilities are ours to pursue. With encouragement from other people, we might feel reinforced in our determination to move assertively into our future. We are willing to leave the past behind, accept our awakening and cross the threshold into a transformed landscape. And we have people who support our changes, just as we accept their changes. Ah yes, the Mutual Admiration Society is in session.
