The astrology for this week of September 19th through the 25th of 2022 brings closure to our summer season and ushers in the autumn.
The week begins with us taking care of business. While it’s all well and good to address our routine matters, it is essential early in this week for us to be open to unexpected opportunities that could come up virtually out of the blue. The sense of ‘being in the right place at the right time’ may seem too good to be true, but we are living during magical times of the paradigm shift when things occur in most unexpected ways. We just have to avoid judging the how and why and not feel that we are unworthy of good fortune. If we go into a ‘poor me’ disposition, we are liable to miss the bus. On the contrary, we can ask ourselves: why not me? Why not now? And embrace any surprising developments that could put a broad smile on our face.
The beginning of this week could prove truth to the saying: “When you least expect it, something great will come along.”
Late in the week, the seasons change with the Sun exiting Virgo to enter Libra at the Autumn Equinox and the beginning of the autumn season. We may be seeking engagement with our relationships, but we have to be wary over the weekend as to whether we are doing our dance with Jekyll or with Hyde. What we see in another person may be what we wish to see, but let’s keep in mind that a person’s potential is not always the reality of their character. We have to be wary that we don’t get burned by making assumptions based upon our hopes and wishes.
The weekend closes out with the Libra New Moon truly triggering the autumn season and especially the two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 9th of October. With the Libra New Moon opposed Jupiter in Aries and feeling the effects of a Venus Neptune opposition, the dance between self and other is kicked off with the whipsaw between focusing on our personal interests with little other concerns and engaging our relationships in a collaborative approach. To borrow from the classic Peggy Lee song: “If that’s all there is my friends, then let’s keep dancing.”
Monday, September 19th – Help Along the Way – Venus, Uranus. Monday begins this week with the Cancer Moon sextile Venus in Virgo and the Moon sextile Uranus in Taurus. Tomorrow, Venus trines Uranus. Monday and Tuesday are two days when unexpected situations take a positive turn and possibly with the assistance provided by someone, or from the universe. Whether that help is in the form of suggestions that offer us a more effective way of doing things or the actual physical involvement in whatever boulder we are trying to roll up the mountain, assistance is available to us. Monday and Tuesday are two days when it is important that we take off the blinders, work with peripheral vision, and be open to receive surprising opportunities. The more we can get obstacles out of the way, one of which might be ourselves, the more streamlined these two days of Monday and Tuesday could be. We might accomplish a great amount and take care of various matters that may be in need of reworking and tweaking. Let’s avoid judging or overly critiquing. Once called upon to jump on board of the streamlining, it’s time to jump on board and go with the flow, which are likely to be rapid currents of high productivity and spot-on effectiveness.
Tuesday, September 20th – Do You Believe in Magic – Neptune, Pluto, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Venus, Uranus. Tuesday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today trine Neptune, the Moon opposed Pluto, and the Moon sextile the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over four and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo later in the day where the Leo Moon sextiles Mercury to end the day. Venus trines Uranus. Monday and Tuesday may be two highly successful days, if we don’t jam up the works. Not that we should sit idly by and let the universe do its work. The paradigm shift we are experiencing calls for us to be co-creators with the universal unfolding. By being receptive to the indications of conditions and drawing upon our intuitive sense, we could be guided regarding the best approach and most fruitful means to accomplish our goals. We might even surprise ourselves by how easy things can actually be. What we have to avoid is relying solely on the tried and true, once tried no longer true. If we close ourselves off to other possibilities, we might miss some great opportunities today. Surprises may occur, so it would be wise for us to be alert and mindful to changing circumstance. It might not be the parting of the Red Sea, but this is a day when mini-miracles can occur that make our life easier and make us aware of alternatives we had not previously considered. Monday and Tuesday could be two days when we may find ourselves in the right place at the right time. The evening hours are a pleasant time for us to enjoy ourselves in the company of a special someone.
Wednesday, September 21st – Reflections – Jupiter. Wednesday has the Leo Moon trine Jupiter. After two days to begin this week that may have been a whirlwind of unexpected developments, some of which are likely to have put a smile on our face, Wednesday is a day when we can reflect on what has taken place. There are times when we get caught up in the frenzy of our life’s accelerated pace with all of its juggling of various involvements. Wednesday is a day for us to appreciate where we have come, what we have been able to survive, and what interesting and unexpected situations may have come up recently in our journey on our life path. This Wednesday is the last full day of the summer season, and even if we have closed out our summer activities earlier in the month around Labor Day, which traditionally has signaled the unofficial end to the summer season, the more we can do a recap, the greater our awareness and better prepared we shall be for our autumn season. This is a day for us to enjoy ourselves, recognize our challenges, and savor our successes. We can bring closure to the summer season with a blowout of raising our glass to toast our achievements.
Thursday, September 22nd – Not Out of the Woods – Mars, Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Autumn Equinox, Sun Libra. Thursday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today sextile Mars and the Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square as the Leo Moon today squares Uranus, and the Moon opposes Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-one hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo on Friday. The Sun exits Virgo to enter Libra [9:04 PM EDT] at the Autumn Equinox to officially start the autumn season. Perhaps we got something of a second wind yesterday, pumped up, confident and ready to take on the world. But we might have forgotten that any positive developments were not so much of our own making as much as unexpected opportunities coming up. We begin this Thursday with a thrust of energy with the intention of putting our spirit into action. While we might start this Thursday with high energy and determination, it’s not long before we are liable to hit the wall. Delays, frustrations, unexpected problems could contribute to a sense of our spinning our wheels. The Autumn Equinox signature imprints the season ahead. The chart set up for this autumn has by Sign both an Air Grand Trine and an Earth Grand Trine. Communication and manifestation can be key factors during this autumn, although the season also suggests a balancing act between our own personal interests and the collaboration with someone or with others. Mercury is retrograde, and there can be times when we are liable to rush to judgment, misread the cues, and possibly trip over ourselves. Last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is back in orb, and we continue our push – pull between old and new, self and other, individualism and collectivism, all the while seeking balance in a highly unbalanced time. The autumn signature chart has six planets retrograde. This autumn suggests that we have much to go over. We may need to review and rework various issues that have gone on before.
Friday, September 23rd – Making Nice – Sun, Mercury, Mercury Virgo. The Moon moves into Virgo early on this Friday morning but makes no connections to the planets today. The Sun conjuncts Mercury just before Mercury retrogrades back into its own Sign of Virgo [8:04 AM EDT]. Maybe we’re operating from some of the residue of good feelings back on Wednesday, for we start this day feeling good about ourselves and about our interactions with other people. Although momentary, this sense of camaraderie can be pleasant even if short-lived. Critiquing and criticizing could then become pronounced as people tend to look at the half glass of water as half empty rather than half full. Ah, the era [or is it error?] of entitlement is engaged where nothing is good enough, everything is wrong, and people choose to play the blame game, accepting no responsibility for their actions but blaming anyone and everyone for their discontent. Increasingly, we need to draw upon our awareness, refuse to accept bad behavior, and be far more selective in regard to who and what we engage. There is no need to succumb to making nice if it’s not going to be reciprocated. Collaboration or Culling! While there may not be a good deal of energy to work with on this Friday, we can use the time today to take inventory of our involvements and our stuff and see what we wish to keep and what we might want to be rid of. This weekend during the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to late Sunday’s Libra New Moon would be a good time for an autumnal clean up and clear out, literally and figuratively.
Saturday, September 24th – Adept at Knowing – Mars, Uranus, Venus, Neptune. The Moon continues its transit of Virgo on this Saturday with the Moon square Mars and the Moon trine Uranus. Venus opposes Neptune. We are on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. This is a day for us to attend to errands, continue with our inventory taking, and even rid ourselves of the outdated and irrelevant in an early autumn clean up and clear out. We do have to be wary that we don’t ‘throw out the baby with the bath water’ in our zeal to eliminate the non-functional from our lives. The new may be more appealing than the old, and the more that we can streamline operations, the better able we shall be to keep up with the fast-paced and even accelerating tenor of our lives. Relationships might be a little iffy today, and we have to be astute to what is going on and adept at interpreting subtle signals. The Venus Neptune opposition today and influencing tomorrow can have us looking for either the best or the worst in people. Trickster alert! This energy demands that we not give people the benefit of the doubt but rather have them give evidence of their trust and their character before we bring them into our confidence. Fortunately, our mind is sharp, even if we have difficulty of clearly expressing our interpretations. This is a day for us to slow things down, use our due diligence and affirm that we won’t get fooled again.
Sunday, September 25th – New Season, New Year – Neptune, Venus, Pluto, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Libra New Moon, Sun, Jupiter. Sunday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon opposed Neptune, the Moon conjunct Venus, the Moon trine Pluto and the Moon conjunct Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra. The Libra Moon conjuncts the Sun at the time of the New Moon [5:55 PM EDT] and the Libra Moon opposes Jupiter. This is a day for us to tidy up the remnants of our past, a tidying that we might have started yesterday. We just have to be diligent with our actions and our interactions with other people. What we see may not be what we get, so we need to keep aware of conditions and the likelihood during these times of things changing suddenly and unexpectedly — evidence of the paradigm shift. The Libra New Moon truly signals the start of the autumn season, a season that will have us seeking balance between our individual interests and those of other people. Sometimes, it takes a village; other times, we just want to be left alone. Sundown on this Sunday is also the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, celebrating the new year in Jewish tradition. We are entering a new season and a new year, all while that we are on the threshold of a paradigm shift from linear, sequential reality into asequential reality with its incidents of magic and mini-miracles.
