The astrology for this week of September 12th through the 18th of 2022 is pleasant enough with some nice positive hits but slides downhill as we come to the weekend.
We are in the first full week of the Mercury retrograde with Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’ in effect. This Mercury retrograde is going back through Libra, and much of our confusion or issues may revolve around our relationships and interactions with other people. Tie the Mercury retrograde in with Mars transiting Mercury-ruled Gemini, and we need to be as charming and diplomatic as possible. Otherwise, a tendency to speak before thinking with an assertive, even aggressive, tone may cause some discussions morphing into arguments and a liability of miscues, misstatements and misunderstandings — all the misses possible.
While the mid-week period can be productive with the opportunity of attending to various practical matters, as we approach the weekend things could start to unravel. This week is one week when it might be best to avoid the sentiment of ‘living for the weekend’.
The weekend has two different Lunar T-Squares with the liability of us racing around, going in circles, then seeking the semblance of serenity on the home front only to have several push – pull incidents entangling us. This weekend might not be restful and reinvigorating but rather exhausting and frustrating. Let’s avoid planning too much and dispense with our expectations for the weekend.
Monday, September 12th – Steady as She Goes – Saturn. Monday begins the week with the Moon continuing its transit of Aries and the Aries Moon today sextile Saturn. We may still be getting used to the change in rhythm and pace with Mercury having turned retrograde late on this past Friday. Today is not a day to go off half-cocked. On the contrary, we need to plan our day with the recognition that we could encounter screwups as we proceed forward. This is a day for us to give thought as to where we are going, our plans for the future, and any obstacles that could get in our way. Let’s keep in mind that we are dealing with both an Air Grand Trine and an Earth Grand Trine. Despite the Mercury retrograde, the Mars in Gemini and six of the planets in retrograde motion, we can consider our options and alternatives and devise a best practices approach to realize our dreams. It may seem as though we are slogging through quicksand, dodging incoming, and having to address unexpected situations. If we would accept the start and stop motion of these times, then we can advance our interests with the recognition that we might be proceeding by going two steps forward, one step back, two steps back, one step forward. Welcome to this wacky world.
Tuesday, September 13th – Step by Step – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. In the early morning hours of Tuesday, the Aries Moon squares Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus where today the Taurus Moon makes no connections to the planets. Responsibilities and tasks to attend to may be beckoning on this Tuesday. We might have glossed over certain matters or hastily dealt with issues without doing our due diligence. This Tuesday is a day for us to go back over situations and focus on the specifics and take care of points we might need to rework or clarify. With the intensity of these recent times, we can often feel rushed and needing to rush through the many things that we could be juggling. Let’s slow it down today and attend to what we need to address in order to conclude. This is a day that is best served taking things step by step and dealing with the less glamorous aspects of our life, those mundane matters that we would prefer to skip over and be done with.
Wednesday, September 14th – Focus – Venus, Uranus, Saturn. Wednesday has the Taurus Moon with the Moon today trine Venus and the Moon triggering last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square with the Moon conjunct Uranus and the Moon square Saturn. Monday through Thursday of this week can be highly productive when we could accomplish a lot as long as we keep the furies of these times far from our door. This week calls for us to keep our head down, go back over situations that we may need to resolve, and not get caught up in the intensity of these times. Distractions and diversions are always calling, but now is a time for us to focus on what we wish to accomplish and dealing more with matters already started rather than initiating new projects. The Earth Grand Trine in play right now is accentuated by the Moon’s transit through Taurus during these three days of yesterday, today and tomorrow. We have to be wary of resenting our obligations, but these three days are days to ‘grin and bear it’ with the recognition that we can be highly productive and effective. There will be time to play at a later time, even if now we find ourselves grousing and repeating mantram-like the proverb “all work and no play makes me a very unhappy person.”
Thursday, September 15th – Wind to Our Back – Neptune, Lunar Grand Trine, Sun, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today sextile Neptune, and the Moon triggering an Earth Grand Trine as the Taurus Moon trines the Sun in Virgo and the Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini later in the day. This week might have felt like a marathon where we have been plodding along and dealing with our responsibilities and things that we have had to attend to. Today provides us the sprint. We have gotten the pace of this week to deal with practical matters and our usual responsibilities and any screwups we might have made in haste. We now have the wind to our back where things can fall neatly into place. We may feel guided as to what to do and in what order to do it, all the while that we are concentrating on our priorities. By tying up the various involvements of this week successfully before the day ends, we will avoid creating dysfunction for ourselves as the wheels come off the bus over the next three days and through the weekend.
Friday, September 16th – Slow Down, You Move too Fast – Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Sun, Neptune. After a week when we might have felt as though we had nose to grindstone with little chance to look up, much less time to enjoy ourselves, Friday is a day when we might blow off the day from our work and responsibilities for fun and good times. ‘Dress down’ Friday has become a big thing in many corporate offices, but this Friday can be down with us enjoying ourselves. Not much work is likely to be done and what work we do may be done in a careless manner. Friday has the Gemini Moon sextile Jupiter and the Moon trine Mercury to begin the day. Diversions and distractions that we come up with or that someone suggests can take us off track of our routine or away from our schedule for the day. We may be full of ideas and only looking for the bright side of life. If we can skip away from our tasks and do whatever we like, we are likely to do so with the justification of all that we have done during this week up to this Friday. Unfortunately, we could leave some issues that need attending hanging without conclusion or resolution. Later in the day, the Gemini Moon conjuncts Mars and the Moon squares Venus. In a rush to cover our bases, we might both gloss over finalizing matters and antagonize someone in the process. Venus squares Mars, and the Sun opposes Neptune. Relationships, and especially collaborative efforts, may suffer with a liability of either us or the other person being highly dysfunctional, a tendency increasing in today’s society and especially now under the influence of Mercury retrograde. This is a day for us to slow things down and concentrate on what needs to get done, for otherwise we could easily move too fast and miss important points along the way.
Saturday, September 17th – Mad Hatter – Saturn, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Saturday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today trine Saturn and the Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Gemini Moon squares Neptune in Pisces and the Moon squares the Sun in Virgo. This day demands right planning in order to have right action. We might have gone off the rails yesterday in any frenzy of too much too soon, and today we could suffer the liability of dithering about and going from here to there to some other point without accomplishing much except wearing ourselves out. It would be important for us to have an itinerary for the day and not get sidetracked by enticing distractions. The weekend can be exhausting, some of which we might attribute to the spinout that may have started on Friday. We could be all over the place today and with a sense that we are not operating on all cylinders and that a wheel has come off the bus. Both Friday and Saturday demand due diligence and concentrated attention. If we forego the necessary planning and preparation, we could head out on some grand adventure without the necessary tools to successfully accomplish our itinerary. This is a day to heed the aphorism ‘the road to hell is paved with good intentions.’ We might not be on the road to hell, but without forethought and proper planning we could turn this day into being hellish for ourselves. Friday and Saturday suggest we take the time to devise our best course of action before starting out, slow things down so that we’re not rushing with a sense of being late for a very important date and enjoy the flush of activity without getting befuddled by the bombardment of vast stimuli.
Sunday, September 18th – Wound Up – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Mercury, Sun, Pluto. Sunday has the Moon entering Cancer where today the Cancer Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Cancer Moon square Jupiter in Aries, and the Moon square Mercury in Libra. Mercury opposes Jupiter, and the Sun trines Pluto to end the day and in preparation for our week ahead. Yesterday, we had the Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square, and today the Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square. The last two days may have ramped up the energy significantly, and this Sunday could have us wanting a quiet time at home without much on our plate except relaxing, recharging and reinvigorating. Nice concept, but once the fun started, it is hard to let go, and so it may be on this Sunday. After a work week when we might have had our head down and dealt with mundane affairs, many of which could have bored us out of our mind, this weekend was marked for fun and adventure. Perhaps we bought into the idea that enough is never enough. Even if we are dragging and totally exhausted from the switch up from virtually idling into overdrive, we could be back in high gear on this Sunday. We could be the progenitor or someone else could be the instigator of keeping the good times rolling. It would be wise for us to get some time to catch our breath today, but once wound up it is hard to slow it down. Late in the day, we may refocus on our true priorities and what we truly wish to accomplish.
